I have stayed here many times. The location is extremely good being very close to the centre of town. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and very clean with good ensuite bathrooms. Hair dryer & ironing equipment available if needed. The wi fi is extremely good & free which is more than can be said for Premier Inns.
The staff here are excellent being friendly & very helpful and available 24 hrs a day.

I have stayed here many times. I can't emphasise how much i enjoy this hotel. It has a class all of it's own and you won't find a more convenient hotel anywhere in Haverfordwest.

We were told upon arrival that there was no hot water available, it was too late for us to find an alternative hotel, they could have contacted us earlier in the day.

The hotel is in an old building with a lot of character. Our room was spacious and clean. Food in the restaurant available on the dinner menu was reasonably priced and of good quality. Parking was easy with plenty of parking spaces available.
The only downside is that the furniture, carpets, room doors, wallpaper etc. date back to late seventies/early eighties. Hence a refurbishment of rooms would be a good idea.

I will commence by stating that this is not my first visit to The Mariner's. It is and will be my first choice for staying in Haverfordwest. So, clearly, i have stayed in a large number of their rooms.
You have to know or remember that the building is historic having been in operation since 1625, so don't expext the rooms to be uniform in proportion. Having said that, they are generously sized with, for the most part, large and bright bathrooms. The room i had this time had the largest shower i have ever seen in any hotel. Simply stunning.
The location of the hotel perfect being close to the town centre and the castle.
The car park is also very good.
You will enjoy really good breakfast options and i can recommend the hotel bar / restaurant for an evening meal. Not expensive either.

If you are looking for a modern hotel it's not for you. The Mariner's is full of charm with friendly staff, pleasant rooms and bar and a good breakfast. We had a nice stay and would stay again being convenient to walk into Haverfordwest. Also, good to know there is a large private car park.

From the moment we checked in, the staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room was large with an excellent ensuite bathroom. The breakfast was fantastic with plenty of choice. We ate in the restaurant on our first night and the food was brilliant.

The hotel is in a great location and I did have a good night’s sleep, but overall it’s quite dated and a bit run down. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made a positive difference. I had dinner in the restaurant, the food was fine, but the atmosphere was a little awkward with only one other local couple dining. Breakfast was decent, with a cooked option plus cereal and fruit. Fine for a short stay, but the place could do with some modernisation.

We enjoyed a cozy dinner and drinks in the bar area, and had an excellent Full Welsh breakfast in the restaurant area that was included in the price of the rooms! The staff were incredibly attentive and welcoming however I feel I need to leave this review. The staff work hard however I feel the property lets itself down. It feels that money has not been spent on the hotel and the produce delivered at breakfast seemed low quality. The property has so much to offer especially with the 400 year anniversary on the horizon. It would be lovely to see this hotel flourish with updating. It is in a perfect location to visit Pembrokeshire and the staff are amazing and sadly I cannot be positive about the comfort and cleanliness.

I have lost count of the number of times i have stayed at The Mariner's over the past two years ( plus previous occasions). I love staying there. Haverfordwest is my home town and staying at The Mariner's is a highlight of any home visit. It's always a disappointment if they ate unable to accommodate me.
Rooms are spacious & warm with generous ensuite bathrooms (even in the single rooms). The beds are comfortable and the breakfasts are excellent and piping hot.

Lovely staff, from reception to the restaurant and bar staff. Great home made steak and ale pie for dinner.

I have NEVER been disappointed with any aspect of my stay.
The hotel has recently changed hands and i sincerely hope that the new owner (who i met briefly this morning) doesn't make any significant changes.
The rooms are generous in size as are the en suites. The in room tea & coffee are generously replenished each day and the staff are extremely pleasant, friendly & helpful.

I can honestly say we have never experienced a warmer welcome anywhere we have stayed, and we travel a lot. The staff were so helpful and seemed genuinely interested in their guests. The dinner options were delicious and very plentiful! The rooms were simple but comfortable and clean. Great place, we're so happy we chose this venue!

This is a very old building and the condition reflects this. But it is well maintained and I love that its a bit creaky and shows the history of this distinguished establishment. Staff were very professional and welcoming and the food yesterday evening was a relief after a long day that I didn't have to leave to find something elsewhere. Breakfast (Full Welsh - vegetarian) was massive and kept me going all day

Excellent staff and location for the area
Staff were brilliant, friendly and accommodating. The breakfast and evening meals were really good, especially for my vegan partner. Bar area was a nice friendly space, room was a good size, bed a little bit hard for my taste and monsoon shower wasn’t to my taste either. Also, felt the room could have done with more than a light clean. Overall, because staff were so good, we would come here again, it was a great base to do the coastal walking, the castles and Iron Age burial mounds/chambers.
