This is such a nice resort. It's quiet and outside of the hustle of Old Town, but a short shuttle ride away from both Old Town and An Bang beach so you don't feel too far. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained, the rooms are spacious, and that staff is phenomenal! Lan, the property manager was so attentive and kind to our children and gave us great recommendations on places to visit in Old Town. Tan, the restaurant supervisor was also fantastic, making sure we got what we wanted. And that was generally true of all the staff. Our family agreed we would love to return, and we would definitely stay at the Legacy resort again!

Rooms were beautiful and clean and very quiet so you could get a good nights sleep. The staff were wonderful. Breakfast was delicious with lots of different options. Location was fantastic with view and easy access to the rice fields and restaurants.

I audibly gasped at how stunning this resort was when we arrived. The room itself was so beautiful, elegant, and clean. The whole reception staff including Na were super kind and accommodating as they helped us get the shuttle back and forth from the town. The breakfast was great and the pools were beautiful. My biggest issue here is that we didn’t choose to stay here longer.

Amazing Hotel

Beautiful hotel in a quiet location. All the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Loan and the reception team who were on hand to provide help and advice. The free shuttle to the old town and beach were handy but a Grab taxi is quite cheap if the shuttle times didn't suit. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. The sound of the cicadas, the gekkos and all the greenery added to the peaceful experience. Our kids loved the pool and the wifi was great. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking to stay outside the old town.

Wonderful stay at Legacy Resort Hoi An!

We stayed for a wonderful week at Legacy Hoi An. Our room was very large and clean with a beautiful bathtub, lounge area, fridge, kettle, aircon, 'his and hers' basin areas and a balcony overlooking the amazing gardens full of tropical flowers that surround the resort.
Breakfast buffet was huge and delicious. There are two large pools to swim in overlooking the rice paddies, with a bar beside them. My only suggestion would be to make the pool water a bit cooler in summer.
The staff were very special with Quinnie, Na, Chau and others whose name I can't recall, being so helpful to us during our stay. I highly recommend this peaceful resort between the Old Town and An Bang beach. We will return!

Great location and facilities. Excellent breakfast, even had poached eggs. Good bar and a wonderful atmosphere about tbe place.
We had a villa which was brill.
Excellent internet, used a firestick for tv with no problems.

I was refused entry into Vietnam and the hotel took advantage of the situation. I have prepaid 5 nights.
I received no response to my requests for a partial refund. The hotel’s website does not provide any useful contact information. The FaceTime link is not working and if you call the number, the person at the other end speaks very limited English. No WhatsApp number, no email.

Excellent hotel with beautiful, quiet surroundings

We loved our 5 night stay here. It’s our second time at Legacy and we were still really impressed. Our room was upgraded and very comfortable. Staff are very friendly (especially Jenny) and we appreciated the sweet touch of a slice of cake on my husband’s birthday. Convenient location as only a short Grab or shuttle bus into town. Pool area is beautiful (although a little cool for swimming in January). The gardens are beautiful, with our toddler loving the fish. Very comfortable stay and we really enjoyed the buffet breakfast each morning.

Look no further, this may be the best hotel/resort in Hoi An or one that you’ve ever stayed in!
Paradise in the middle of a rice field with local farmers working tirelessly with their buffaloes.
As if that’s not enough a reason, here’s more:
- 2 amazing pools
- Gym
- Restaurants/bar for meals if you don’t feel like leaving the resort
- Convenience store within the resort compound
- Complimentary breakfast with a wide variety of delicious spread each morning
- Complimentary water bottles daily
- Complimentary shuttle to Hoi An Old Town and back. Thanks to its dedicated drivers
- Complimentary relaxing yoga class twice a week by the lovely Anh
- Complimentary bicycle rentals to explore the neighborhood or the beautiful city
- Our suite and the entire resort is amazing. Words don’t do it justice. Pix attached for your reference.
- Last but not least to the amazing staff at the resort. The reception team is exceptional; always going over and beyond to ensure maximum satisfaction for all its guests. Shout out to Anh, Loan, Lan, Thuy, Linh, Jenny, Na, Nam, Con, Huynh

Beautiful resort with stunning surroundings

We loved our 6 night stay here. Our family room was very comfortable, the gardens are stunning and the staff are excellent (especially Jenny and Na). The buffet breakfast and relaxing pools were both highlights. The resort is a short drive into town. Jenny helped organise a car for us to visit My Son. Absolutely loved our time here and would recommend to other families with young children.

The beauty of the room and the property views perfectly match the pictures posted. Additionally, the staff is very cheerful and accommodating. The breakfast is exceptional, but there is room for improvement in the lunch/dinner menu as it lacks variety and can be quite dull. Furthermore, the mixed drinks are quite disappointing.

The Legacy Hoi An resort is fantastic. From the lovely, efficient, professional reception ladies, to the grounds keeping, the maid service, and the restaurant, the staff is available 24 × 7 to take care of all your needs. The rooms are immaculately clean and our view of the rice fields was awesome. The Legacy provides 5 star service but if I could rate it 100 stars, I would. This is the finest of the finest resorts.

Relaxing getaway in Hoi An

Lovely resort with super helpful staff, it was a nice relaxing place to go back to after time in Hoi An.
Two nice pools to relax around, a free shuttle bus into Hoi An, but a grab was only around £1 if you didn’t want to wait for the shuttle. It was a bit further out from Hoi An, about a 10 minute drive but Hoi An was so overwhelming busy at times it was nice to come away and relax.

Overall would recommend this hotel there was a restaurant
and a bar with a pool table all very quiet but nice when you return from Hoi An.

Legacy Hoi An is a lush romantic hotel with plenty of green fauna and attentive staff. We had 2x adjoining rooms - whereas our kids had their own separate room next to ours and we could walk in and out which was nice. Rooms were elegantly traditionally styled with a nice marble tub and lovely shower facilities. Other pleasant offerings were 2x pools, buffet breakfast with satisfactory food options with a omlette chef and traditional soup chef. Also had shuttle bus services to the city centre and beach nearby and free bicycle hire to get around if your keen. Gym was modern & free and offered free yoga classes. Whole family has massages. Would start again

We had the best time at this place. The place genuinely cares about you having the best experience. Linh Linh made checked us in and explained the resort, times, schedules. Then she inquired about what we wanted to see & do. She organized an excursion to Bach Ma and helped us get some tailor made clothes. Any questions I had she gave me answers and options. We would definitely come back and make sure she would be our coordinator. Thank you Linh Linh. The rest of the staff was very attentive as well.

The hotel is far enough from the central tourist area so you can relax away from the but close enough to ride a bike there. Bikes are free to guests or you can ride the hotel shuttle to the beach or the old quarter.

Great Family Friendly Resort

This was our first chance to have a holiday as true families post covid lockdown. Ancient house village proved to be a great resource for us as the amazing staff were very flexible and allowed the families to change rooms and be very close together. We loved the relaxed nature of the resort and everybody's friendliness especially when it came to bike hire, organizing transport, etc.
Ling Ling on the front desk in particular was incredibly helpful and her infectious smile put everyone at ease.
I would highly recommend this great little resort. They also have a partnership with the Deckhouse at An Bang beach which is a great place to hang out during the day.

Hoi An Ancient house was our favorite stay in a 2 week, multi-city trip to Vietnam. Linh and the other manager and their staff were amazing. SOOO helpful. If you needed something it was yours. The room was even better than expected and the grounds were unique and beautiful with multiple pools. Another reviewer said it best, at first you arrive and you are not sure and then once you settle in, interact with the staff and explore the grounds you realize it's a fantastic hotel and an awesome value. I liked that it was not in Hoi An central, allowed you to go back to peace and quiet and it was easy to rent a motorbike from the team to get into town which was only a few minutes down the road. Delicious breakfast and food at restaurant. I highly recommend Hoi An Ancient house.

The hotels staffs provided excellent service to meet every requirement we had. We encountered staying in a noisy room on the first day, they could only arrange a new room to us on the day after ( so we need to stay one more day there) as it was fully booked but they provided us a free dinner at their restaurant as compliment. We could not have time to stay there for the dinner, they offered us a complimentary transfer to the airport. The hotel is not five star, but all the staff tried their best to satisfy their client.
It is also our wedding anniversary, i made a request to include the wording on our dessert plate, but they gave us a cake!

We stayed three nights. Beautiful property. Lovely grounds. Large well air-conditioned rooms. Beds not comfortable. Not enough hot water to shower the three times I tried. Both our room and our daughters room received hang up phone calls 2-3 times one night. Rooms were not made up when we returned for a rest at 2 - 3 pm.
Turn down service includes fresh fruit which is nice as are the flowers in the room.
Far far away from Hoi An. Not actually in Hoi An and some taxis in the village did not want to go there. This is difficult when it is hot and you want to take a break mid day. Nothing else near by.
Staff pleasant but very few speak English well enough to communicate any complex thoughts. Difficult to get directions to a restaurant for example. Could not get larger Vietnamese Dong changed to smaller denominations for gratuities. As all of the clientele were not local, this is a problem.
Shuttle service has very limited hours. Drivers are excellent.
Restaurant menu limited and expensive by local standards. Food just OK. Few choices for our vegetarian teen - one pizza. You wouldn't go out of your way to eat there twice. Breakfast OK but service non existent at buffet. Hard to get a coffee. Forget about getting two coffees. You need to wave someone down and that gets tiresome. Someone came by to see if we enjoyed dinner & asked us to fill out a comment card and stood over us while I filled it out. Obviously it is hard to be honest when they are standing over you.

Zen in the Rice Paddies

A beautiful spot located in the rice paddies, perfect for relaxing outside of the occasionally intense Old Town of Hoi An.

The level of service from each and every member of staff was incredible - attentive, friendly, helpful and professional. Me and my partner were so humbled by how friendly and beautiful everyone at the resort was. Ms Anh was especially attentive, coming over for a chat each morning at the breakfast table and asking us what we had planned for that day and providing us with tips and recommendations on what to do.

The rooms themselves are lovely - really spacious, light-filled and inviting with French doors providing a view of fields, palm trees and the occasional water buffalo. Really comfy bed and all the mod-cons you'd expect from a luxury resort. The cleaning service was brilliant, stealthily cleaning our room when we left to go and relax by the pool or when we'd ducked into town for a meal.

The pool was what you'd call a defining feature - flanked by the bar and the restaurant and with a breathtaking view of a huge rice field. Me and my partner spent a lot of time down here relaxing, it was really a beautiful spot. The restaurant really exceeded our expectations, providing well-cooked local food that was on-par with the better restaurants we'd found in Hoi An as well as a lot of western classics.

Overall, a really beautiful spot! Would recommend this place for anyone who's looking for somewhere to relax and unwind in picturesque a location.

Our personal relationship manager, Ahn, made sure we knew where to go and made a real effort to make us feel special (even remembering the fruit my daughters loved and bringing extras for them each morning). Great spa facilities. Lovely pool and excellent food (has a great set lunch). Out of town a bit which worked well. Good shuttle and taxis were cheap.

My partner and I stayed here for seven nights and loved it! The hotel is beautiful and away from the hustle and bustle of the ancient town. There were regular shuttles to the ancient town and the beach which made moving around very convenient. The hotel also offered complementary bike hire.
The deep soaking bath tubs within the room were phenomenal and it was great to come home in the afternoon to relax in the bath before heading out for dinner.
Ms Anh, as well as all the breakfast staff, were attentive and generous with their time. They knew us by name and greeted us daily which made the stay very personable and comfortable. It was also lovely to walk into breakfast and have the wait staff begin preparing our coffees (the iced Vietnamese coffee - you must try this!) without being asked.
We visited the on site spa a few times and each treatment was professional and relaxing. If you have time to get a spa treatment, then I would recommend visiting the ladies at Ancient House.
This is a great place to stay and I would definitely recommend it! Thanks for a great stay Ancient House!

We stayed four nights at this hotel after visiting Hanoi and it was Heaven!!!
The room was absolutely fantastic. It was very spacious, clean and comfortable. It was one of the best rooms we have ever stayed in! The hotel has beautiful well kept gardens. A shuttle bus is provided to the town which takes just 7 mins and to the beach that takes about 15 min. Towels are provided for the pool and the beach. All the staff are very friendly and helpful especially the reception team. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel for a peaceful break in Vietnam.

This is a beautiful hotel, just out of main part of Hoi An so very quiet but close enough to enjoy the town. Staff are wonderful and rooms are amazing!

This place is very special. The setting is so peaceful and beautiful. The free shuttle bus into town and to the beach is really helpful and the staff can't do enough for you. Highly recommended :o)

This was my 4th visit to this hotel & I will definitely be back. The staff are amazing so friendly &helpful, the rooms are large & beautiful with a bath & shower as well as a balcony. The pool area is tranquil overlooking the paddy fields, & all meals in the restaurant are fantastic.
It’s a short taxi or shuttle ride from town but this gives you peace & serenity.

Otherwise a Lovely resort, beautiful rooms, friendly staff, great breakfast options, clean, beautiful view from the pool and restaurant.

Shuttle is handy as you wouldn't want to ride into old town. Free bikes are handy too!

The hotel is beautiful, a wonderful place to stay, close to Hoi An and An Bang beach but calm and away from the hustle and bustle of the town. The staff were fantastic especially Ahn and Ven who made our stay extra special. Can not recommend this place highly enough. We were glad we decided to stay at this lovely hotel that is a little out of town, happy to be away from the crowds. Room was spacious with lovely views of the gardens. Enjoyed the pool and spa. Great, friendly service. We’d definitely stay here again.

The property was beautifully maintained. Customer service was excellent. Breakfast had a large choice. Spa facilities and treatments were amazing and inexpensive compared to Uk prices. Free shuttle bus and bike use. Free bike tour with friendly staff. Definitely returning!

Very nice hotel with excellent food and service, especially kitchen staff (Miss Anh). Very nice pool with view of rice fields. Lovely room with balcony and nice daily van service into town. Hoi An was also very pleasant to visit, especially around the Old City and waterfront.

Lovely hotel on outskirts of Hoi An

We stayed here for 4 nights in January. Great communication with the hotel prior to arrival and car picked us up at airport. On arrival, we were met by Lan who gave us a warm welcome. We got an upgrade to one of the Villa rooms and were blown away! It was beautiful spacious and had a lovely balcony overlooking the paddy fields. We had breakfast every morning and dinner twice in the restaurant. All the staff were lovely and attentive. We booked into the spa and had lovely treatments and even joined Anh for some yoga! The shuttle bus was great and we went into the old town several times. The hotel organised a tour for us in bamboo boat followed by cook school which we would highly recommend. Unfortunately it rained most days so we didn’t get to use pool area which did look very inviting.

Thank you again for a lovely stay, especially to Anh and Lan.

Beautiful hotel, great service, just outside the town: get a bicycle and ride into town during the day or take a Grab at night.

We had a really large room on two levels with a comfortable bed, good airco, a nice shower and a beautiful soaking tub. There's a rooster on a neighboring property; if you're sensitive to noise you might ask to be on the other side of the building so it's quieter.

The resort is beautifully located in the rice paddies with a pool overlooking the fields. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff are very welcoming and happy to help. Be aware what room to book: we had our “Deluxe room with garden view” changed as the patio / balcony faces the back of the resort and feels very enclosed. The only rooms facing the real gardens and pool are the pool view rooms on the 3rd floor. All other balconies face the back.
There are regular free shuttles going to Hoi An town and the beach. The resort has also free bicycles to rent.

Fabulous place, amazing staff, everyone walking around with a smile on their face. Stayed for 8 nights, location slightly out of the town but regular shuttles to the beach and the town. Great selection of food at the breakfast buffet, ate at the restaurant several times and was top notch cuisine. The staff in the spa were well trained and I cant remember having a massage as good as the ones I experienced at the resort. The staff were really helpful with good ideas of things to do and booking tours. Thanks to Lan and Luon and the rest of staff.

Special thanks to Anh who went out of the way to make sure I was enjoying myself, nothing was too much trouble, i had a minor medical episode and she supported me through a nervous wait, she is a valuable asset to the resort and her yoga lessons are a perfect way to start the day relaxed and refreshed.

My first visit to Vietnam, I will definitely be back, and this is is where I will be staying when I return to Hoi An.

Wonderful hotel where nothing was too much trouble

We really enjoyed staying with Ancient House Village resort. The staff were fantastic and made our stay the best ever. So relaxing to lay around the pool and the breakfast was excellent. Reception staff like Lan and the others were so helpful with anything we asked of them.

Pros:
- spacious villas with beautiful facilities
- lovely staff
- pool area with lots of shade
- shuttle service to and from town and beach very convenient
- quiet location
- free bicycle use

Cons:
- food good, but cheaper in the town as to be expected
- private car transfer arranged: after we left resort a tad later than arranged, the driver stopped to pick up his wife whilst we were on our way to airport! Found this to be slightly unprofessional as we had a flight to catch!
