Enjoyed our overnight stay at the hotel. Our room was very spacious and although it was next to the railway line this didn’t bother us at all. Food was lovely and well priced and the staff were friendly and helpful. Only negative was the glass bricks between the bedroom and the bathroom which meant I was woken by the light when my OH used the bathroom during the night and vice-versa. An issue which I’m sure could be easily solved and it wouldn’t put me off from staying there again.

The hotel is generic with no character whatsoever. It is essentially an airport hotel. The food menu is very limited and over-priced for what it is. Only stay if you are in transit, but a poor choice for a long term stay. Also far from town and public transport is poor. Taxis charge a flat rate, which is also pricey.

Week in Corsica

The hotel was our base to travel around the south west and south east of Corsica. Ideally we should have selected something further south. Anyhow, the hotel inside was clean and comfortable. The outside grounds needed some maintenance, looked like the garden hadn’t been attended to for months, probably due to COVID-19. Hotel staff were great. Very friendly and efficient.

Brief but very pleasant

Due to a late arrival in Ajaccio we decided to stay the night rather than move on to our pre-arranged lodging. We are glad we did. The hotel is amazingly close to the airport and was very comfortable.
it is complete with amenities, restaurant, bar, pool, spa etc. All were in good shape and inviting. We highly recommend a stay at Campo dell' Oro whether overnight or for a prolonged stay.

I wouldn't recommend staying at this hotel unless you have a flight out in the AM. You can't avoid the fact that you are on the highway. You go under the highway to get to the beach - which is actually ok - since the beach is more of a local beach than tourist - and quite nice. They charge 20 euros for the use of a towel at their own pool - explaining that people take them and when they get charged for taking the towel after they depart they dispute the charges with their credit card company. Who does that and it is such a common occurence that you need to put a policy in place? This hotel is used by tour companies and you will have large tour buses staying and certain times you can eat in the restaurant outside of these large groups. The restaurant was good and the butterfish I had was excellent.

Very nice stay

Stayed there for one night before leaving Corsica. Nice hotel with good facilities. Although pretty close to the highway, you do not hear the cars too much. Short walk to the beach which is convenient. Room was a good size and bathroom was excellent. Pool area is amazing, only hiccup, no washrooms at the pool!! You have to go back inside the hotel through the main door. Not fun when you are in your swimming trunks!

The hotel is lovely with a urban decor. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable! The hotel staff is incredible! Unfortunately I was ill during my stay however the entire staff went above and beyond to make sure I received medical help. One particular staff member went out of her way to get the pharmacy to open in the middle of the night so she can get me my meds. I’m so grateful to have been at this hotel whilst I’m sick because I am not sure if any other hotel would’ve done as much. THANK YOU ALL!

A practical & relaxing stay in Ajaccio

Could not be better if you are flying back the next day as it's 5 minutes drive from the airport.

My room was spacious and over looking the swimming pool - nice and clean. The staff kind and helpful.

A bit disappointed with the pasta dish serve in the restaurant: over cooked and quite tasteless but the sweet was great!

I will certainly stay there again.

Place has been 90% renovated. Lobby and restaurant immaculate and modern. Hallways and room carpets grubby. Furniture beautiful. Bathroom door was nice carved wood, but who really wants a bathroom door you can see through in places and hear everything? Bed comfy. Overal experience was OK but we stayed many places in corsica which were much nicer for less. Close to the airport.

Close to airport, staff okay, rooms need help

Chose this hotel for one night prior to our flight out of Ajaccio. It's practically next door to the airport, our primary reason for staying here. The ride into central Ajaccio was about ten minutes. The hotel sits just off a busy roundabout on the road into town, with the beach just across the road. The landscaping, lobby/front desk area, and pool areas were presentable and well-kept. The staff was friendly and helpful, with a caveat (more on this later).

The musty, moldy smell we encountered in our room was due to the wet carpeting just outside the bathroom. We learned that the shower's partial glass divider did a bad job at keeping water from pooling in the bathroom's floor and thus soaking the carpet. The bathroom door itself was this odd sliding door, the top half of which was a wooden panel in a kind-of open basketweave pattern that left large openings into the bathroom. Not much privacy - from outside the bathroom you see right into the toilet.

Stay here if your priority is proximity to the airport, a three minute drive away.

The hotel was located close to the airport and thats about it. The aircon in the room was broken, the hallways smell like cigarette smoke from over the decades. The pool looks very rundown, and so did most of the hotel. 3 star hotel at best, don't expect a 4 star hotel (as they claim) when you arrive.

An airport hotel in Ajaccio

It is very difficult to fault this hotel, located close to the airport in Ajaccio, Corsica. We had an excellent room and were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meal in the hotel restaurant which was by far the best we enjoyed on Corsica. If there is an criticism of the hotel it is the free but very slow connection to the internet.

This is a really lovely hotel. The rooms have been newly refurbished, so has the dining room, they look lovely. The pool is a good size and is cleaned every day. The beds are made every day, and fresh towels are available every day if you want them. The staff are very friendly, and most speak English as well as French. The food in the restaurant was excellent, genuine four-star, fine dining - delicious!

There are only two very slight down sides. One, the reception area is still waiting to be refurbished, but this isn't a problem as we don't spend much time in it! Two, it's a 15 minute drive to the town. There is a bus stop outside the hotel, but the Corsican bus drivers seem to make up a new time-table every day! We managed though, and the buses were much cheaper than the taxis!

We had a sea-view looking out onto the bay, which is beautiful and highly recommended. The beach was a short walk from the hotel too, so on a sunny day you could choose the pool or the beach or both!

Overall we had a lovely time at this hotel and would definitely return again.

Pool-blessed comfort near the beach and airport

Chose the Campo dell'Oro for its location near the beach and a shortish walk – literally – from the airport. Situated by a stop for two bus lines (couldn't they inform visitors of this fact?), this upgraded three-star features extremely comfortable guest rooms, a decent restaurant, friendly staff and a large pool with loungers. In high season this isn't cheap (nor is the restaurant) but in the shoulder months you could pay the same amount for far worse in downtown Ajaccio. If you're on a budget or don't feel like splashing out hefty sum for a meal in the in-house restaurant, there's an early-closing snack bar directly opposite – use the underpass to negotiate the main road. Free in-room WiFi worked reasonably well. Rain showers in the bathrooms a nice touch of luxury. Could have done with foreign channels on TV. Otherwise, a really pleasant stay.

Great hotel by the beach

Pros: If you're in Ajaccio for the beach, this is the place to stay. You can take a quick tunnel that gets you across the highway and onto the beach in 5 mins. The hotel itself is very clean, comfy, and the staff is friendly. Wifi is reliable and worked well for me, even for Skype calls.

Cons/Tricky things:
Outside of that, the hotel is a bit removed from downtown (maybe 5 mins by car, 30 mins walking). You can walk there, but you will be on the side of the highway and in car fumes going and coming back. There is a bus station right in front of the hotel, but you're still in Corsica - which means that buses/public transit is pretty bad. I think the bus was coming every hour or so, maybe more around rush hour. A car is highly recommended to get around.

If you're getting a great rate on the room, you may also end up in one of the rooms facing the back of the hotel. It's not a problem until 5ish am, when you realize that the little train tracks in the back are not just quaint. They are actually functional and trains pass through every 30 mins or so. Not awesome if you're a light sleeper...I recommend packing some ear plugs and enjoying your stay anyway :)

Our stay was very average, with low staffing, air conditioner not working in the room. we had to keave the door of the balcony opened but it is by the freeway, sp very noisy. No refrigerator in the room, safe did not work. Staff not friendly nor very hrlpful. We will not return to this hotel.

Malheureusement une odeur d’urine en chambre nous a obligé à quitter l’hôtel !!! Nous a été proposé une bombe spray anti-odeur, sans efficacité. ….. Même fenêtre ouverte impossible de dormir … La piscine a ouvert avec 40 min de retard (nettoyage) et il n’y avait pas de lait au buffet petit dej …. Pas top … … 1 ère expérience ebookers … 😔…
J’aime pas laisser des avis négatifs … mais là … compliqué de faire autrement !!!

L'accueil et la chambre été très bien. En revanche, au niveau du restaurant, le maitre d'hôtel a été très désagréable avec des réflexions inappropriées et déplacées. Je n'ai jamais vu ça! Je pense que ce monsieur devrait changer de métier ! Heureusement, les autres serveurs et serveuses ont été très agréables et la cuisine était très bonne.

Je déconseille cet hotel , notamment pour les professionnels - un wifi aléatoire ou alors il faut rester dans le hall - Un petit déjeuner basique (peu de choix) qui n'est pas à la hauteur d'un hôtel qui se veut haut de gamme - refus de me donner la facture car je suis passée par Hotel.com - une terrasse commune à plusieurs chambres se qui oblige à garder les rideaux fermés

Logé au 6eme, l’etat repoussant de la moquette a la sortie de l’ascenseur et des peintures, nous a fait nous demander si l’on etait pas dans une zone technique….en tout cas pas dans un 4⭐️ encore une fois

Hôtel très bien tenu et parfaitement propre. Chambre de belle taille. En revanche, le 6ème étage est franchement limite. Le couloir est d'un standing très moyen et le bruit sourd du système de chauffage (ou de ventilation) installé sur le toit rend l'expérience pénible. Autre point : l'éclairage des chambres est ridiculement faible. Nous avons été obligés d'enlever les abat-jours pour y voir quelque chose !

Douche sans porte savon , il faut poser son gel douche et son shampoing au sol ! Du jamais vu ! Et la réceptionniste du matin de notre départ, plus toute jeune d ailleurs , nous répond que ça ne dérange pas les jeunes 😂😂
Impossible de régler la Clim en chaud mais le réceptionniste du soir de notre arrivée , tres sympathique d ailleurs, nous l avait dit .

Impossible de laisser la baie vitré ouverte car circulation 4 voies au pied de l'hôtel très bruyante de jour comme de nuit (non indiquée sur le site).
Coup de peinture à prevoir pour piscine et rembarde de notre balcon.
L'écoulement de l'eau dans le bac de la douche ne se fait pas entièrement.reste de leau en permanence.
Wc dans la salle de bains sans séparation. Une porte coulissante sépare la salle de bain de la chambre sous forme de persienne donc troué ce qui est trés mal adapté pour les odeurs et le bruit qui sont ressenti dans la chambre.
Une salle de fitness sans lumière de jour.

Les ++ une cuisine excellente, variée et saine, le personnel vraiment très serviable et toujours souriant, les chambres confortables et heureusement bien insonorisées.
Piscine, transat, serviettes de bain, douche et wc communs très propres .
Très bons jus de fruits et coktails au bar de la piscine.
Plage facilement accessible à pied.
Petit train à 20 mètres derrière l hôtel qui nous mène en 7 minutes à Ajaccio.

Les - hôtel décentré ...un petit paradis au milieu de rien....route à grand traffic devant, aéroport à 3 km ...pas de petits commerces de petits bars ou restaurants, ni de petites boutiques. Une voiture est reconnandée même si le train s arrête à qques mètres de l hôtel.
Pas d animation ni musique même au bar ...

Hôtel rénové mais loin d’être à la hauteur d’un quatre étoiles… moquette vieillissante couloir et escalier.
Moisissures sur les joints dans ja salle de bain. Taches de moisissures au plafond et tache sur la moquette de la chambre.
Trop chaud dans la chambre et impossibilité de régler la climatisation sur froid. Donc, nous avons passé la quasi-totalité de la nuit la baie vitrée ouverte et avec la voie rapide juste à proximité de l’hôtel, très mauvaise nuit.
Ce désagrément signalé à la réception le lendemain matin, on nous explique qu’à partir de cette date seul le chauffage fonctionne…
Cela semblait normal donc aucune excuse, ni geste commercial…
Parking très moyen et petit, certains emplacements se trouvent sur ce qui semble avoir été un ancien court de tennis.
Le petit déjeuner sauve quelque peu l’établissement.
Pour résumer loin d’être à la hauteur d’un 4 étoiles …

Le plus de l'hôtel est incontestablement sa piscine , très agréable et grande , les chambres sont correctes , en revanche il est dommage que l'hôtel ne soit pas plus mis en valeur afin de faire oublier son emplacement ( proche de l'aéroport ) dans une zone pas très avenante...

Notre séjour a été très agréable.
L'hôtel est bien situé avec un parking sur place et une grande piscine par contre la propreté de la salle de bains, qui s'avère être en pierre, laisse vraiment à désirer. (Champignons)
