I enjoyed my stay here. The staff are exceptionaly friendly and helpfull - they go above and beyond expectations.The hotel is set in extensive grounds with lots of palm trees with a large pool to swim or relax by. The least epensive rooms are clustered in round chalet ype buildings set in pleasnt grounds. The more expensive rooms are in wings of the hotel near the pool. The breakfast is excellent by Ghanaian standards with a good selection including cook to order eggs and pnacakes - but it is expensive if not included. There is an extensive daytime and evening menu available with Ghanaiain and European food which is pretty reasonable quality but portions are too large for most people to finish. The gounds of the hotel extend to the endge of the sea but there is no direct access to the beach - its fenced off for security. To visit the beach you have to walk out of the front and along the main LA rd a short way - but reallt the hotel pool is much nice than the beach.

The hotel itself is very tired and definitely not the star rating you give it. The hotel is lacking investment and management who train newer staff. That said, there are some members of staff who are exceptional and made the stay really enjoyable.

The hotel is dated and should not be classified as 3or 4 Star. We had to get service as bath was flooded. Bathroom blues didn’t work. The air on wasn’t very good. In the end we stopped complaining because we realised it’s not the fault of the staff but the hotel management should invest. Very disappointed as when I was a child I used to go there with family and it was the hotel to go to in Ghana.

Overall stay was comfortable and not bad however I expected more from a 4 star hotel. The fridge did not work in my room even after replacement causing my food to spoil and bugs. The water was not hot even with the heater switch on.. just lukewarm. And they always ran out of towels at the pool in the middle of the day which was inconvenient.

A very nice resort that gives off a boutique feel with the chalets. Stayed at a junior suite chalet and absolutely loved it. It features a full sized fridge and microwave tucked away in a fairly sized kitchen space. Enjoyed the continental/buffet style breakfast as well. The staff was very courteous as well. All in all, I would definitely recommend and would stay again if I had the chance.

Great stay in a beautiful hotel in lovely grounds
We had warm welcome from the friendly staff and an enjoyable stay. The rooms are reasonably well maintained, welcoming and comfortable. Staff are always friendly and helpful and problems dealt with quickly. The setting in large grounds with large pool, coconut palms and extensive lawns provides a tranquil setting near the bustling city centre. The hotel is on the seafront but separated from the beach by a metal fence and locked gate - which is probably for the best. The local beach is short walk along the main road outside the hotel. The buffet meals are good quality - expensive by Accra standards. A la carte items are disappointing - menu needs refreshing. The breakfast buffet is good including cook to order eggs. On the negative side, the hotel is a little dated in some areas - they are not keeping up with maintenance in all areas. Also, they have failed to keep the occasional hawker out which can be a nuisance. It also is a sign of lax security. I will none the less return in future - still a great place to stay.

The second room had no power to the fan or lights. The patio doors are locked and are not able to be opened so we were told to walk outside the property to enjoy the patio.
We spent every hour we were there in the hotel next door which was much nicer meaning we didnt spend any money at this resort. After 1 day we decided to leave a day early and book lobardie beach resort next door since we were spending all our pool time there anyway.
On checking out i asked to speak to the manager but was told he was not available.

The hotel has excellent service. All staff were professional, courteous, and committed to giving guests a great experience. The propeety itself is need of work. You do not really have access to the beach. Its beyond a chain link fence with security. It is a public beach with hawkers and the like and not well kept. If you're hoping for a beach experience, this is not it. The pool is pleasant though. I had a bug incident, which staff came and handled quickly by spraying the room with me in it. Had a headache from the insecticides but powered through it. Food options on property are good. Convenient location.

The hotel is very noisy. They organise large outdoor evening events which guests are not notified about in advance of their stay, and which go on until 3 or 4 in the morning so it's impossible to get any sleep.
Service is also very poor. I waited 50 minutes for my (very simple) order at the Ghanaian Village one night.
Location is not terribly convenient either, and while it's advertised as a beach hotel, there are no hotel facilities on the beach.

Don’t stay here!!! The lights flickered. My son cut his finger very seriously on a tile in the kid pool. Brown water poured from the tub. We had to change rooms, but it was not easy. The service was poor.

The property is located on beachfront. The area is beautiful and captures the authentic Ghanaian culture. The staff are very courteous and professional. The only issue we had was the hot water heater didnt work properly. Additionally, staff did not inform us you need to turns on switches for the refrigerator and the hot water in the room. La Palm Beach hotel is a short ride from the Accra airport. The hotel also provides a free shuttle to and from the airport. What makes the hotel exceptional is that it is ocean front. The grounds and pool are beautiful. The hotel rooms are spacious. The hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating of all requests. There are two restaurants on site which provide great meals. The hotel has lots of amenities--casino, ATM, exchange bureau, gift shop, hair salon, and others. I would highly recommend this hotel to others. I will definitely plan to come back to La Plam Beach Hotel when I return to Ghana.

The property is really run-down and scandalously overpriced. My room had a broken sliding door onto the verandah (which was also in a bad state), so it was sealed and I could not let fresh air in. As the window and bathroom had no other form of ventilation, the room did mot meet basic health and safety standards. When I asked to change room, I was told this was not possible. Wow…such a beautiful hotel. It’s at the beach and also in a very convenient location . Not too far from city center and the airport. Just a few minutes drive. I love my stay here. I will always choose here over any beach hotel in Accra.

Labadi beach is a nice area. The hotel is on a sprawling property with various activities to keep busy with. The room suite was nice as well. As a default they should keep insect spray in the rooms as I had to call housekeeping to get one. Also, I was fortunate to have two bathrooms as the shower head in one burst out from the connection due to the high pressure. There did not seem to be a clear walkway to the beach from the hotel property or backyard. Food was pleasant. It is a taxi ride away from the city center. Overall I did like the hotel.

If you’re looking for a place to stay that is in Greater Accra and close to the airport, this is it! Most of the staff are incredibly nice and helpful. The pool and grounds are absolutely stunning. The Ghanaian restaurant is phenomenal. After seeing other hotels in the area, this one could use a major room update (it’s like it was from the 70s). I ended up unplugging the lamps in my room because they either shocked me or would spark when I turned them on. The breakfast buffet was a 4/5 but the staff working the breakfast shift were inattentive. They often stood in the corner and it felt really awkward to ask for coffee or water. If on a budget and if wanting to enjoy a beautiful pool area, this is a decent stay.

The hotel's one saving grace would be that the grounds and pool area are nice. With a dingy room and beach, I thought I'd enjoy the evening reading by the pool to at least enjoy the grounds. Within 10 minutes I was solicited by three prostitutes. I don't see how this can happen without the hotel allowing it.
All in all, clearly a hotel with friendly staff, but poor management that are doing little to nothing to maintain the place, and allowing prostitutes to harass guests who try to enjoy the outdoor spaces.

Overall stay was satisfactory. Breakfasts were excellent with good variety. Front staff were excellent and very courteous, as well as professional. We enjoyed our stay as everyone was extremely kind and accommodating. When there were issues with our room, we had them recognize them before we did and they made adjustments including switching our room for a lighting issue. The breakfast buffet had a great selection of local and international foods including an in-site chef for crepes and omelettes. The staff were always smiling and helpful but the condition of the property needs attention. On arrival the hotel staff member who took me to my room was unable to get the electronic key to work which left me waiting outside the room for 15 minutes having just flown in; subsequently I had to have the key reprogrammed six times as there was clearly a fault with the lock. Next, the electrics in the room were a problem in so much as boiling the kettle tripped the system; this was resolved but it should not have occurred. Finally, one morning the water pressure was so low that having a shower wasn't possible; again this was resolved but the combination of issues doesn't give a good impression of the level of maintenance.

Ee pretty much liked everything. The water pressure in the shower could be a bit more water coming out of it. The water pressure was very low and the food breakfast buffut could be a little bit hotter meaning heat, orher than that you would not be disappointed. We plan on trying to get all of our families to come back with us it's about 20 people. We really love pretty much every single day of our stay, so please keep up with the good work.

I absolutely LOVE this hotel and the fact that they completely understand hospitality, customer service and professionalism. This was my first trip to Ghana (as well as west Africa) so I didn’t fully know what to expect. This hotel really amazed me with everything especially the food! It was soooo good and the pool area was a lot of fun along with the various activities and parties on site. Will definitely stay here again and recommended to friends interested in visiting Accra.
