My stay was already great, but Barış (the manager) made it even better. He was incredibly helpful and caring, and every time I needed support he was there. He was also an amazing guide, which made my experience in Turkey much more enjoyable.

I will definitely return — Black Art Otel is now my place to stay, both to work and to relax. The atmosphere is calm, peaceful, and very welcoming.

Highly recommended.

Excellent friendly hotel, perfect location

I stayed 3 nights at the Black Art hotel, the staff who work there are so helpful and friendly, the room i stayed in was very comfortable, and the breakfast was super. It is around a 10 minute walk to the main Taksim area, this means it is quiet at night and you don't hear the noise from the busy Taksim area. The hotel is excellent value for money, I'll be stayig there again when i return to Istanbul next year. Thank you Black Art hotel!!

The rooms are in excellent condition, the staff are extremely helpful and they go above and beyond to make sure all guests are content. The hotel is about 10-14 mins walking distance away from Taksim. It’s in a good location about 15 mins drive from nisantasi and other ferry piers. Good quality breakfast. Complimentary drinks throughout the day in the lounge area. You won’t regret it!

my extreme disappointment and dissatisfaction with my recent stay at your establishment. I had made a reservation for a king-size suite room for four persons from [29 july 2023] to [01 August 2023] under the reservation reference number [55251989]. Unfortunately, my experience did not meet the standards that were advertised and expected.

Upon my arrival on [29 july 2023], I was shocked to discover that the room I was assigned did not match the specifications I had booked and was promised in the booking confirmation. Instead of the king-size bed and an extra bed, the room contained a double bed and a single sofa bed. This left our group with a missing bed, causing significant inconvenience and discomfort throughout our stay.

Furthermore, the air conditioning in the room was not functioning at all during the first two nights of our stay. Despite my attempts to contact the front desk and address the issue, the AC remained inoperative. It was only on the third day, late at night, that an electrician was sent to fix the AC unit. This prolonged lack of basic amenities significantly marred our experience and made our stay extremely uncomfortable, especially considering the sweltering weather.

I believe that as a guest, I have the right to expect a comfortable and accurate accommodation that aligns with the reservation I made and the promises outlined in the booking confirmation. Unfortunately, my experience fell far short of this expectation, and it has left deeply dissatisfied.

I wish I could give them 0 or maybe less.
Super filthy room, no elevator, unsafest location in Istanbul. Photos of the hotel are unrealistic. Breakfast can’t be worse. Literally awful.
I stayed for 1 night but they charged me for 4 nights and never refund me. Since I reserved it for 4 nights initially but due to reasons that I have mentioned I cancelled that but they didn’t refund me.
Never ever recommended whatsoever.
If you would like to loss your money choose this garbage.

A good hotel

I had a great stay at this funky little hotel. The rooms have modern decor and illuminated signs in room that are pretty cool. The staff are friendly and always try to help, a big thank you to the manager Baris who speaks good English and assists guests. This is a family business hotel and they are trying hard to please guests. The rooms are clean and have tv air con and it was a bargain last minute price for me so i will stay here again. It is in a good area by the foot of Taxim but is at the bottom of a steep hill. I recommend staying here.

I informed the owner or front desk person that I would not return..I took all my suitcases. The property is not what the description presented. The owner would not refund my money. The place was not safe, clean, and very outdated. The internet did not work ...or I should say the connection was very weak and I was unable to connect to the internet.

It is very noisy all hours of the day, the wifi here does not work, rooms are very small, and the receptionists are very shady. I checked out of my hotel and waited in the lobby for a taxi for about 15 minutes and when the taxi pulls up the hotel worker claims I still owe money.

The hotel is one km away from Taksim Square and the hotel has 5 floors with staircase access and nice lounge area where the breakfast was served. The lounge area is linked to the reception area which directly leads to the street entrance. The area has some stores and local businesses and also to the main traffic road which can be crossed to the VFS visa application centre, which I have heard accepts the visa applications to the most of the European countries and Canada too. The room was clean and well lit. Came in the evening with the Google map directions by walking from Taksim Square, which brought us with rather unique walk trip along the local residental small buildings and neighborhood.
The receptionist and the staff were friendly and helpful to our needs and would like to propose others to stay with this hotel.

The room was small. The staff were good, the guy at the check-in table was friendly. Noises from other rooms were so much heard in the room. The breakfast wasn't really something special. The neighborhood wasn't safe enough if you have car and want to park it in the alley or you want to walk in evening. But there's a parking space with fee close to the hotel that uou can usr and feel safe.

The staff are amazingly helpful and were always happy to provide us with much needed drinks, tea, coffee & water, after dealing with the only negative I have, The Steepest Roads!! Unfortunately, to go anywhere you either turn right & pray for a taxi or turn left and start climbing, like seriously steep/calf burning/uphill roads, naturares way of reminding me how unfit I am given how hard my lungs were working, which, for some reason felt twice as hard/thight burning/tiptoeing back down to BlackSuits as it did going up!! Anyway we both enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again when we return to Istanbul, plus the kebab shop on the corner is amazing!!

When i saw the reviews before I booked i said its a good hotel because of reviews but after i bookbed and want there i been on shock because it was so dirty and there was som of cobble out of outlets and the doors handle was broken and the below was so dirty and the towel has blood on and the light on bath was not working and the drawer was broken and left smoke cigarette inside. All of those things was in first day then i speak with reception they told me that well change my 3 rooms in second day and they change it but some dirty and in 3 rooms just have 1 small refrigerator not enough for 6 people and in one room the ac was dripping water and the light of both room has verdigris on and the both shower was broken and dirty we can’t take shower on. All of those think should not be available in hotel like these reviews

And there's no esclater and my room was in the fifth floor

Very basic room but good for the price !
The room was cleaned everyday, all you need is there. The only problem is that there is no elevator, but they helped with my bags, and finally the neighborhood is not so beautiful the hotel is located at the end of a big slope, but 15 min walking from taksim square which is a so cool area (or 12 lyra by taxi).

The hotel itself is fine. My room was small but it was clean and the staff was friendly. The locatiom however was really bad and to get to the center you had to pass through a dangerous area so I preferred to take a taxi each time i left the hotel.

I stayed in this hotel for 5 nights. When I was looking for a hotel, I found out the Black Suite Hotel is almost cheapest one in its location. Therefore, if your budget is tight, you can consider it. However, the following concerns should be considered before your booking.

First of all, this building has no elevator, and it was very hard for us to reach to 4th floor ( be aware this hotel has totally 5 floors). Unfortunately, it is listed here that this hotel has an elevator! Secondly, its surrounding area is not perfect and is somehow scary at the late night. All streets have large slope and it is not easy to cross them, specially for elderly people. For going to Taksim metro station we used taxi (e.g. Uber or BiTaxi), which costs less than 12 TL. Our room had two twin beds, and it was super small, which means we had problem to fit our baggages.

Finally, I should mention that the overall cleanliness of our room and lobby was good, air conditioning was considerbly functional (which is highly demanded for summer season) and wifi speed was excellent!

The hotel rooms were not cleaned while our 5 day stay and when asked to clean only the bin was changed. We asked for duvet covers, pillow cases and change it ourselves. Very unhygienic conditions and the toilet was never cleaned either. Returned with itchy eyes due to the dust in the room. The hotel didn’t have an elevator so my pregnant daughter had to take stairs all the way up to 4th floor.
