I had a great stay at Atar Airport Hotel in Istanbul during my layover. The location is very convenient, especially if you need to stay close to the airport.
The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and professional, which made my short stay smooth and stress-free.
The room was very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained — exactly what I needed to rest between flights. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, and I would definitely stay here again for a layover in Istanbul. Highly recommended!

There was rain in Istanbul and water was coming through the room ceiling in the bathroom, the ceiling over the night stand, and the ceiling just outside the bathroom. The floor was soaked with water as it came through the window base.I had spent the majority of the night soaking up the water and literally used 20 large towels.

We requested a different room but we did not get a different room until the next day.This situation was extremely bad. We have never been so disappointed with a hotel, and it questions us ever wanting to us Hotel.com ever again.

The staff was good but when we complained about the water, the night shift guy didn't know how to handle the water situation. In fact, we could not request enough towels and just got to a point to allow the water that we could not contain just damage what it would damage. The flooring was getting damaged but the staff didn't seem to care very much.

There is also wall paper that was peeling of in so many areas. I can only assume from the wayer and moisture.

We would never stay at this hotel ever again.

Would have been a 4 or 5 but for 2 reasons.
1 - The airport pickup arrangement was poor. Had to wait 15 mins outside the airport for the ride to arrive. Enough time to take a cheaper taxi to the airport.

2- The bathroom was filled with irritating long hair on my arrival.

Our room was close to the maintenance room and we could hear all sort of sounds all night. We had an early flight and couldn’t have a good night of sleep. But the staff were very kind and very helpful. They let us have an early check in with no fee and overall it was a decent hotel.

We only crashed here for a very short night on a layover - it was fine for that. Tiny room and noisy street so we didn't get much sleep. We chose this place because it said shuttle service available - be aware that it's a rather expensive service ($25 one way to airport). The bus (H-6) is the cheap alternative, but iffy if you have to catch a flight! Service was great - they look after you very well!

This hotel will not provide you with a good night’s rest before your flight. It is on the flight path, has thin walls, a gap under the door and a hall light that blinks on and off all night. The staff were friendly though.

The hotel deliberately oversells the big rooms they no longer have.

They message you regarding your booking, transfer, etc. but they don’t even mention the room you paid for is unavailable.

On arrival they give you their standard room, which is tiny. When you point out it’s not the room you bought, they blame it on “technical issues” on their system but they don’t even offer to refund you the price difference.

We were taken to their sister hotel World Class Airport Hotel on the main road with traffic, big lorries 24/7. Awful. They told me the hotel is in a quiet area, which was dishonest.

Our room had a strong smell of sigarrets/smoking. It was awful for my 5 year old.

Breakfast was poor.

Transfer was awful. The driver was late. When he eventually arrived, he was driving like crazy, which made my journey to the airport extremely stressful

The driver told me he had to drive so fast because he was late and he had to come back to take another guest to the airport. He wouldn’t slow down! My child was scared.

Absolutely awful. I do not recommend this hotel.

The staff was super amazing. The facility served its purpose for us catching an early morning flight out of IST and not having to travel all the way from the main part of downtown Istanbul. Was able to pay for pick up and drop off to the airport and it was in a very nice spacious and luxurious sprinter van. I left my jacket in the hotel and the staff brought it back to the airport in time for me to catch my flight. They were wonderful. I would recommend staying here for short term stay.

Very clean and neat , staff in really helpful from the get go , impressive service and attitude for the cost per night , used their shuttle and was on time , I was greated very kindly from the airport to the hotel , very comfy room , bed , the room temperature is good with a new AC , Dinara the receptionist and her assistant Batu did a wonderful job making this stay one of my best , I’ll be coming back next time but with my family

Hotel very good for a stopover as my flight to Doha was cancelled as Doha airport was closed on 24/6 and had to take a Turkish airlines flight to Singapore.My transit was 17 hours and the hotel staff was kind enough to let me check out late as I had checked in at midnight

This was a terrible experience. The bathroom shower is very tiny. Planes fly overhead all night every 3 minutes.

Great place for a stop before an early morning flight, everything is all pretty new. Excellent service and good airport transfer service if a little expensive. The area around the hotel is still being developed to serve the new airport so still quite rustic Turkey which I loved but not what everyone will be expecting from an area surrounding the airport.

Never in my entire life I saw a hotel without coffee! No coffee at breakfast “we only have tee”. Free breakfast was awful.
Food menu in my room was with huge oily stains and smelled terrible.
NO HAIR CONDITIONER!
Body wash disposal was broken!

We don't know who wrote the reviews. The definition is a collective farmer's house. the light in the room cannot be turned off, it is necessary to turn off the general machine. The air conditioner is not working. There's nowhere to put my suitcase in the room. no more than 7 - 8 m2 breakfast was one egg and a piece of tomato. The audibility outside is super. the coffee was just coffee and just tea. There is no choice. The staff is helpful, but they couldn't turn off the light in the room either.

New property yet almost everything is falling apart. Peeling off wall paper, had to call for TV remote and AC working. The TV never worked. Horrible, pacjaged breakfast that was possibly prepared the night begore. Pleasant staff and that is the only positive. We will never stay here again.

Adequate hotel. Clean and near airport by car. Limited options for food (no restaurant at hotel, hotel is far from restaurants). Not located in a walkable place (surroundings are vacant lots or construction sites) & the neighborhood is not attractive at all, so it feels isolated. It leaves you dependent on taxis for transportation, and everyone is hiking the prices to preposterous levels. Rooms are very small: double bed and not much else in terms of space. Noise from the road & any activity on the floor (toilets flushing, showers) audible through the walls. I had booked a breakfast at the room the day of departure, they forgot about it & I had to call to re-arrange. The food was not very good: a cold boiled egg adherent to the shell, a leaf of salad, a slice of tomato, nothing to drink (no tea, no coffee, no juice).

Atar hotel.

Comfortable warm and modern, The hotel does not have a restaurant so food has to ordered from a local restaurant. Not much of a breakfast selection either. 2 slices of orange 4 slices of cucumber, 1 boiled egg, bread and some lettuce. There is a couple of shops and other restaurants within 10min walking distance.
It isn’t bad for an overnight stay. We didn’t get to use the spa facilities so we cannot comment.
The staff were friendly.
If you don’t mind planes flying overhead and traffic noise then it’s ok. But it is an airport hotel.

It’s a very good hotel close to the Istanbul airport. We stayed for a night to catch the next morning flight.
Bed was comfortable and the linens were excellent.
The room decor and furnishings were new and tastefully done. We ordered dinner thru the hotel and it was promptly brought in. Shower was hot and bathroom was clean. Great value if you plan to spend a day.
The one negative was the small size of the room. Didn’t matter to us as we were there only for the night. If you plan to stay more nights, choose a bigger room.

Rooms are certainly not soundproof. When I first got there, I had no water for sink or shower, but this was quickly remedied. I then ordered food, but it came with no cutlery or napkins. I called the desk, and the guy came up to see what I meant - did I want a spoon? No, a knife and fork. The hotel is obviously new, so everything worked (other than initially no water). Staff were helpful.

Overall pleasant as newly built small hotel. However the double room just about fits the double bed.

Greeted by pleasant Nusnet who could not speak English but smiling and helped with luggage.

Receptionist Latif asked for more money but he quickly realised I had already paid in full.

TV didn't work in my double room and so I was moved to an adjacent double room. This was more spacious and the TV turned on but the remote control didn't work even with new batteries. Nusnet helped in trying to get it to work with multiple other remote controls.

Latif seemed confident in that the TV would work with the remote control that belonged to a different TV in reception. He was wrong.

Another staff, who appeared in my room in shorts and TShirt, Mesih managed to move move the curser along the different apps on the TV but this was temperamental. The remote control had to be angulated in a certain way when trying to get it to work.

After all this, there is no Netflix subscription and other apps are Turkish.

If you're wanting to chill for the night with snacks and TV, think again. Apparently all TVs in the hotel are problematic.

Taxi drivers think they can charge what they like. It's between €8 to €10 euros equivalent to about 300 to 375 Liras maximum for the journey from IST International airport.

Be mindful, if you're a light sleeper. In Arnavutköy, the planes fly over the village so it's loud.

Toilet height more than normal.
Fridge didn't turn cold overnight.
Stray dogs.
