Airport Transfers!!
This was our feedback to the hotel directly:

Gd morning!
Sadly, to say that the airport transfers and vehicles were conducted very poorly!
On arrival, it was hard to find the staff at a point called Aura, it was a crowded hustling marjet place!
After going through 14+ hours of flight, and enduring the cold, Smokey environment whilst waiting for the driver, once we had secured contact with Aura representative, we were hustled in a group to a remote area in the airport parking lot and told to get into an old vehicle, ranked of smoke with 3 other passengers!

Transfer back to airport yesterday morning was pre booked for 10.30 am, we were ready and waiting in the lobby by 10 am and driver was late!
A rickety, old, dirty VW van arrived and announced a different name for pickup, but reception told him ride was for us and before we could object to getting into this vehicle, we were ushered in!
I did manage to tell the receptionist that this was not we were told to expect!

Stepping inside was a horror!
It was so dirty and worn out reaked of bad smell!
My eyes were watering and the extreme smell of cigarettes smoke, took our breathe away!
I have severe asthma, and had to use my inhaler multiple times!
We are truly upset and horrified by the whole experience.

The two gentlemen, one who checked me in and the other checked me out, could not have been nicer or more professional. I loved this little place! I had a jacuzzi tub in my room and a nice little view. It was very clean. I really enjoyed my stay here!

I stayed at Elysian Airport Hotel & Restaurant in Arnavutköy (Istanbul) for one night, and it was a really solid choice, especially for the price. The room was very clean and clearly well cared for, which mattered most to me on a short airport stay. Everything felt fresh, simple, and comfortable without trying to be “fancy.”

The value for money was the big highlight. For what you pay, you get a clean, quiet place to rest, and that’s exactly what I needed. Staff were courteous and helpful during check-in and whenever I had a quick question, and the overall experience felt straightforward and stress-free.

Was the room spotless? Did the staff seem courteous?
Yes, the room was spotless, and yes, the staff were polite and welcoming. I’d stay here again if I needed a clean, affordable hotel near the airport.

Had a long layover in Istanbul.. despite being offered a \"free\"hotel room at another place by the airline, after reading reviews, I opted to stay close to the airport for an early morning flight.
I was very pleased with my choice, the hotel was very comfortable, quiet and even had a nice cafe with fast service and vegetarian options.
The hotel manager also arranged for me to take a small private tour of the key sights in the old part of Istanbul. Despite it being freezing (with snow on the ground) it was a nice short visit.

We arrived at 17-09, rooms were not prepared( even check in is started at 14-00). The bedding was used before us, I believe the staff “ forgot” to change it after previous tourists. Soundproofing is zero, you hear everything from outside and inside. I will not stay inthis hotel anymore.

The hotel itself was very clean, cozy, and comfortable. For the purpose of being close to the airport, it was a really good experience. The staff were very helpful. The area around the hotel isn’t perfect — it feels a bit rural — but it’s extremely close to the airport, and within a 5–10 minute walk you can reach good local restaurants and shops. Overall, it was a great experience.

As a female solo traveler who has stayed at many hotels, I felt especially safe and comfortable here. The hotel’s environment, combined with the professionalism of the staff, made this experience stand out as one of the best in terms of overall safety and peace of mind.

The staff were consistently amazing, professional, respectful, and genuinely committed to providing outstanding service. Among them, Ibrahim stood out for his remarkable dedication. He was exceedingly respectful, professional, and attentive, going above and beyond to ensure all of my needs were met. His hard work and willingness to assist did not go unnoticed. While the entire team was wonderful, I happened to interact with Ibrahim more frequently, and his exceptional service made a lasting impression.

Overall, the Elysian Hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking comfort, beauty, and great hospitality.

The staff were polite and helpful, the hotel was clean and well-appointed. The rate was great, especially for a last-minute booking when our flight was delayed. The rooms are definitely not sound-proofed from each other - I heard sneezes and coughing - but there wasn't a lot of noise from outside. The biggest issue I had is that the door to my room wouldn't actually lock (neither with the normal digital lock or the deadbolt; there was no chain on the door) but I was too tired to try and switch rooms at midnight. I just put the luggage stand in front of the door so something would wake me up if the door opened.

The Bad: not the best location outside the airport. No public transportation close by at least not Sunday evening . Hotel/airport transfers a bit pricey.
The Ugly: 7:30AM while I am still sleeping a hotel staff walked into my room by accident. I later found out the room lock never worked!

Easy to find airport shuttle and little wait. Only complaint would be the driver on the return transfer to airport was looking and texting on his phone for almost the entire transfer - only drove with one hand and would be looking at his phone for several seconds at a time. Made me a bit nervous.

My stay at Elysian Airport Hotel was short but memorable. While it’s advertised as an airport hotel, it’s actually a bit farther from the airport than expected—so plan for extra travel time. Also, make sure to get familiar with the local currency quickly, or you might end up paying more than intended.

The room itself was superb—modern, clean, and incredibly comfortable. The shower was one of the best I’ve ever experienced. Unfortunately, the hotel was under renovation during my visit, and the hot-tub room I originally booked wasn’t available.

There was a small issue at check-in around 1–2 AM. The front desk initially refused early check-in without charging extra, even though we had an 8 AM flight. After some discussion, they eventually allowed it at the same rate, which was appreciated but took effort.

On a positive note, the younger front-desk representative was outstanding—very pleasant and helpful. He even translated for us and assisted in communicating with our taxi driver, which made a huge difference.

Tip: If you need a transfer, ask specifically for a yellow taxi. If the hotel arranges it, you’ll likely pay double the normal rate.

Overall, I’d recommend this hotel for a short layover if comfort and cleanliness are your priorities. Just be mindful of the distance from the airport and the strict check-in policy.

I have stayed there multiple times and in different rooms. Was in a double room, king size room, triple room, suite with a bed and pull out sofa and depending on a room the amount of noise was different.
If you got to see the street-you will hear all the cars. If you got the room looking inside of the building you will see workers smoking and doing construction.The construction was there last year and it is still going this year. A lot of floors aren’t done.
The good thing are the employees of this hotel are friendly and helpful. In the morning of our last stay the light went off and of course the elevators. So we had to shove our staff in the bags without having light. Perks of construction they have. I went down and got a staff member to get our bags and poor thing was carrying everything 3 floors down. Very nice guy. Thank you for that. Internet was down too because of that. Thankfully we had our cell service internet to call a cab.
With cabs it is hit or miss with the staff. This time they were offering other people to call it. Another times I stayed they shrugged their shoulders and said they have a shuttle. 30 euros one way. I am from Miami and it is way more expensive than Istanbul and our taxis don’t charge that for 15 minutes ride. So I opened uber app and ordered a taxi. Was about 12 bucks to the airport. Taxis in general in Istanbul are a rip off if you don’t get a meter or an uber. Overall the hotel is ok to sleep at for 1 night.

Beautiful, new hotel. Great amenities in the room. The staff is wierd. The lobby and the area around the hotel was strange with random drivers and vendors smoking and chatting. However the room and the rates were awesome and the distance to Istanbul Airport was great! All in all, I would recommend for short stays to be close to the airport. It was too far for anything else.

Check in was fast and smooth, the workers were very friendly and helpful, it’s only a 15 ride away from the airport! I would recommend to anyone looking for a stay durring a layover
