love everything about Opera Bosphorus, we have been to 4 hotels before this and I am super glad that Opera gave us the ended holiday rest that we need. We booked 2 rooms and honestly, the Royal Suite could fit the family of 5. we were greeted with an awesome view of Bosphorus. the Deluxe Room also had partial sea view and it was great as well.
Love the staff handling our stay. Shout-out to the 3 staff that attended to us, Yassin, Maya and another person during our check-out. some mistakes were made but they were quick enough to rectify it. Thank you Opera for making our 5 days stay fabulous with an awesome new year bang..

The hotel was clean, well staffed and comfortable. Our double bed was separated to twin beds (friends in same room) late in the evening on arrival, breakfast was good.

2 room’s Bosphorus view and honeymoon suite
I had booked 2 rooms with Bosphorus view and a balcony one of these rooms was a honeymoon suite. The view is majestic and seeing the sunset was a major sight to my visit.The rooms looked as the pictures so I was happy about that. They were very clean and spacious.
The honeymoon suite comes with a capsule coffee machine and a jet path; I had booked this for my anniversary but they were charging a lot to add flowers on the bed; would have appreciated it if they were complementary considering the price we and the occasion so I didn’t go for that.
The hotel location was not that great for car drivers. It was on a hill and a highway so it will be a problem parking there. However, the rooms were very quite and on the other side of the road so we can’t hear any noises.
The evening staff were friendly and nice. As I loved the room I asked if I could extend and they told me it is available and you can book online or come in reception. So I booked online.However the morning staff was very rude and wanted to change one of the rooms to lower floor I told him that I had a chat with the evening staff and told me it was available he said it is available but someone wants to extend and asked for that room. He didn’t make sense but eventually we stayed in the same room after argument. He even made me pay more saying I paid for one person even though it stated 2 people capacity.

The property is high and nestled on the Bosphorus call me a home body but you kind of don’t want to leave your room the views are amazing in the Bosphorus rooms and spacious. 2 Restaurants on property have a variety of local and foreign options, customer service is remarkable and seamless. The property was in a great area for my trip objectives. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff and service were great. Every staff member I encountered was very friendly, professional, and attentive. I especially want to thank Hayri and Erdal for their assistance when I had a couple of specific requests. This is a really good high quality smaller hotel. Staff was very attentive to needs and were helpful navigating Istanbul. I would recommend getting the room facing the Bosphorus. It is a really nice view. This location makes for easy getting around. The tram station in a hike down some steep sidewalks. Easy to get to

All of hotel personnel is so friendly and customer service oriented. Have been in more than 76 countries, houndrieds of hotels, one of the best service ever! Manager of the hotel his name is Mahmat, this guy is a gold of this hotel, just makes every guest happy being in his hotel! No other option for istanbul when im back!

The best part was the outstanding seaview and the spa (steam room and sauna). The pool was closed. They also have a Starbucks at reception which is open til late. I didn't eat anything but checked out the Skyview restaurant which has awesome views. The staff are very welcoming including Ahmed at the spa.
The surrounding area is ok but not upscale like the Beskitas area which is close by and a better choice if that's what you prefer. You can walk to the hotel from the Taskim station but it's uphill or Kabatas tram which is downhill.

Excellent experience here at the Opera Bosphorus Hotel. It all began with a nice welcoming from Hayri, advice from Yuksek, and excellent service from Erdal with a little daily lesson on Turkish. Overall the staff was always friendly and helpful with advise on how to get around. The view from our room towards the Bosphorus was the nicest thing to wake up to everyday or relax and meditate every night. Location is excellent, with just an 8 minute walk up the street you’ll arrive at the Taksim Square and walk down the famous Istiklal street. Walk five minutes down to the Bosphorus you can start another adventure towards Besikitas, walk to Galataport shopping area, or take the train towards Sultanahmed Mesquite and grand bazaar area.

First of all , they are trying to charge u extra when u get there because they know u are tourist second of all they room service doesn't clean ur room in a right way , they leave dirty towel on the floor , when u take a shower the water smell sooo bad , toilet was broken when we get there they didnt fix it , I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL IF U SLEEP ON THE STREET IS MUCH BETTER THAN THIS HOTEL .

We had a wonderful time at the hotel. We had amazing water view from our balcony. The room was comfortable and clean. The rooftop restaurant was a fun and lively place to hang out. The location was great as well, close to the main attractions and transit. Overall, wonderful!

I went on a family vacation July 2022 and chose this hotel for the view. Although very expensive, it was not worth to pay a high rate for a view and ignore all other factors of being on a relaxing vacation. First of all the staff at the breakfast restaurant were very rude, secondly the housekeeping service is terrible, and rooms were kept unclean at all times and towels smell. I have been to Istanbul several times and this is my worst experience. I am really upset of my wrong choice considering reserving three rooms and having to deal with an issue everyday. Never again! It was a nightmare

Also, be aware, they have a certification of tourist safety in their lobby - not sure what this means, but the ride they arranged for us to the airport kicked us out on the side of a road and removed our luggage. All this was because I asked him to set the fare meter to the starting price. When we rode the cab was already at 41 lira.

Terrible plane to stay the manager treated me bad just because I booked with my Expedia points. I booked 1 night with my Expedia points and I was planning to extend my stay and pay on the property and when I asked him if it was possible he said the hotel was fully booked and he told me to hurry up to leave the room and when I checked on Expedia to see if this hotel was really fully booked there was still rooms available, even on their official website! It’s an amazing hotel, with perfect location, in lovely area. Service is great! Receptionists helped me a lot! Even with my problems that weren’t related with hotel. I really appreciated that. Thank you from all of my heart. I stayed there for more than 2 weeks and I was amazed how great the service was there. It was clean, they helped me a lot, breakfasts just amazing with an amazing view. Gym is really good too, you’ll find all necessarily machines there. Couldn’t try the pool because of the weather. Like I said before, if you’re not Turkish, don’t go to the spa. They’ll charge extra extra money from you.

Could be a great place, but staff unfortunately is operating at a disappointing level. Room service only happens if requested, half hearted and usually only involves making the bed, rather than restocking tea/coffee or toiletries when they have been used up. Staff seems to speak excellent English until a concern is brought to them. Not particularly friendly or accommodating. The gym has great equipment for a hotel gym. It is not maintained well, there is no water or towel provided when you head down, but if you need to get a good workout in on the road, there's a range of weights, and other machines that even allow for a halfway decent leg day. So above par variety of equipment, but maintained poorly. I was a single traveller and given a room with three single beds. Only one other room on my floor was used while I was there - not sure about the logic behind that. The \"partial Bosphorus view\" was facing at the next building. You could see a hint of sea if you squeezed your head against the window. Beds were comfortable - albeit small in my case. Room was nothing noteworthy and there was no view.

Good hotel close to Taksim Square -room to improve
This is a really nice hotel 5 minutes walk from Taksim Square. It is an uphill walk but a pretty easy walk. But it isn't all positive.
The rooms are lovely and the breakfast is excellent. Reception desk service is superb.
I do have to raise a couple of faults:
The room wasn't cleaned properly for 2 nights as the same crumbs that were already on the floor of my room when I checked-in were still there right next to the bed when I left.
The second thing, and this is partly culture, is that they have a small outdoor pool but whilst you are using the pool both staff and guests come out and smoke in this area - there is even a large ashtray. I know this is a perception thing but having a smoking area between the pool and the fitness suite is a bit off-putting. Other than that, and these are minor comments, the hotel is excellent.

An amazing experience! I have stayed in many luxurious hotels all around the world, also many in Istanbul, and never stayed anywhere else better than the Opera Hotel. Personnel, food, cleanliness, view, decoration, best of the best!

Check-in was smooth. We had some issues with their policy of no outside food or drink allowed. We told them we should be allowed to bring bottled water for ourselves and milk for our toddler, to which the manager agreed. Hotel location is excellent, about 8 minutes walk from Taksim square. Beware of the incline though. Room and bed is a bit small for two adults plus 1 child. But they did provide extra blanket on request. What I did find strange was that there is no latch or lock on the bathroom door. Staff (especially housekeeping staff) was very helpful. Buffet breakfast could a little better. City View room is a bit noisy (street traffic). Room size is not bad.

Hotel is situated close to Taksim square within short walking distance but in a calm neighborhood. We had 3 rooms reserved one with Bosphorous view and 2 with partial view, the view room has a fantastic view but the other two had only neighbor's wall with a real small window partial view. the staff was helpful, breakfast buffet was good with a variety changing every day. Me and my family visited Istanbul for a five day break which I feel was not enough as there is lots to see. The hotel itself is very nice, but I would recommend the bosphorous view rooms. The partial sea view rooms are not worth the money we paid in my opinion. The building shape is such that you hardly see the sea from most of the \"part sea view rooms\". I also feel that we paid a lot more for the two rooms, but that could be as we travelled in peak season. Overall the hotel experience was good as the rooms were clean and we had free wifi and the buffet breakfast was very appetising. Just one thing, that they do not provide irons in the rooms and you end up having to pay the hotel laundry service or wear creased clothes!

Bosphorus view rooms are a must! Pool/spa area was good rather great, but the rooftop bar/restaurant and our view from our balcony was outstanding. The location in Beyoglu, a short walk from Taksim, was perfect as it was close enough to transport links but away from the crowds and annoyances of a more touristy area. Breakfast offered a good choice.

Convenient Location and Good Value
My girlfriend and I and another couple stayed at this hotel for three days while enjoying a long layover in Istanbul. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful - even calling a Turkish Bath for us to check on last minute availability. The rooftop bar provides amazing views with an evening cocktail and the breakfast buffet terrace is the perfect setting for a cup of coffee. Our room was a city view room and was clean and modern. The bed was comfortable and the rain setting in the shower was welcome after walking for miles in the city each day. The location is quiet and relatively convenient. You have to walk up a hill about a 1/4 mile in order to get to the Taksim attractions, so I wouldn't recommend the hotel for folk who don't enjoy walking. A short walk down the hill to the Bosphorous will get you to a great Tram line that goes straight to the Old City. We found this a great way to get around the city and see the sites. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the Opera Hotel to others.

Paid extra for a Deluxe room, with city view, and as I was traveling with Family I requested the two rooms to be connected. However, when arriving the Deluxe room with City view does not have connecting rooms, and the city view is rather a street view...you don't see the city and nice lights...it is a misunderstanding from my part ??? of-course...
However, to have a connecting room, I paid an additional 35 euro per night, and that came with a deluxe room view of the Bosphorus, which was beautiful and exceptional during the evenings...

Hotel staff were not polite and misallocated my room and realised after a couple of hours later, that they made an error. Then I was moved to room with a very smelly bath and they failed to pick this up before moving me in. I regret booking this hotel and would not recommend anyone to stay here.
