Food is overpriced - an aperol spritz was €22 compared to 6 to €10 everywhere else in Rome and Tuscany. The dinner restaurant is overpriced and does not have options for a family. The breakfast buffet is really nice and was included in our fee. The lunch service is also very nice but €39 per person.
Overall: does not feel modern, has not been maintained very well and is definitely not worth an entire trip to visit. If it’s convenient while driving through Tuscany, it may be worth a stop over if you have the time and money.
Important to note that there is nothing to do in the surrounding area and you will need a car. It would be wise to book dinner at an agriturismo in the area so that you aren’t stuck at their restaurant for the evening since the nearby village is completely shut down in the evening.

I have slightly mixed feelings about the hotel.
Fabulous Tuscan location, but beware it’s quite remote( which is not a negative just an observation). Spa facilities are fantastic with natural (and really hot) thermal water but the hotel itself could have been better. This hotel belongs to the ‘Leading Hotels of the World’ group (or is a member of) but neither rooms nor restaurant were really up to standard.
The bathroom / bedroom were dated and for sure needed updating and bedding was not good enough. Restaurant staff were great but food lacked attention to detail and real quality. Two examples: on one of the evenings we selected beetroot dish with Greek Yoghurt and some
Greens- they left off the Greek yogurt but said nothing and also on one of the evenings served wine with a very noticeable chip in one of the glasses.
Enjoyed the stay- would I go back again, probably not!

Exceptional service , amazing Tuscany view , the facilities are in excellent condition, we booked a massage and it was very good , this place is very good for adults or couples who would like to have relaxation for 1-2 days.

The property has a great view, overlooking the rolling hills of Tuscany, but it is so secluded that you cannot leave the property to do anything else without a car. There is no close by bus or train station that can take you to nearby sites or activities. We also found the elevators to be a little dirty, possibly because the hotel is pet friendly? It's a nice place to stay if you want to just stay at the hotel and take advantage of their thermal pools and spa, but if you want to explore Tuscany, this hotel is pretty secluded from many areas/attactions.

Stayed a couple of days while attending a classical music festival. Warm and friendly welcome, good food in the restaurant. Prices for extras (like mini bar drinks) are quite high though, even by 5 star hotel standards. Good, stable fast and free wifi.

We arrived for a weekend gateway very late around 1am. Late check in was available even though it advised to call in advance. Here are the highlights of the trip:
- Staff. Some very bad some really good. We had a lady at the reception who was really antipathetic. When we had an issue with the room instead of solving it right away, she acted like if she was doing us a favor and she did not know about any tours. Instead I would like to specially thank Jonathan who was incredibly helpful recommending the restaurants and bringing us to the tours we booked.
- Rooms: We booked the standard room. It is clean but we had an disgusting smell (sewer smell) in ours. Very old fashioned furniture, and small in size.
- Hotel amenities: HIGHLIGHT OF THE TRIP. The pools and the spa are just incredibly beautiful. We had an incredible experience here. We enjoyed watching the most gorgeous Tuscany sunset in one of the infinity pool with our private Jacuzzi. Special recommendation for the infinity pool in the middle with a large window.
- Breakfast: AWESOME! Lots of variety and beautiful view to go with it.
- Tours: we had the a massage, it was average as she forgot to massage some parts of our bodies :D and the horse riding tour was in a beautiful location but not the best riding experience.
On overall, I would not come back to the hotel but I would strongly advice the terme.

This hotel is simply lovely. From driving past the ancient San Casciano dei Bagni, arriving at the private gates, checking in and seeing the room with the wonderful view and using the amazing spa this place is perfection. The staff are so friendly and the grounds are beautiful. If you want a few days away from everything then this is the place. The restaurant is also superb. Sometimes hotel restaurants can be soulless or a bit hit and miss but this was lively with excellent food. We will be back next year!

The hotel is amazing. If you truly want to get way from the world, this is it. Relaxing and healing of your body and spirit. The landscape is beautiful, the staff is top notch. Our room was comfortable and spacious. The resort is tucked away so you will need a car service if you want to go anywhere else, though you won't want to leave.

The best bagno and spa in Tuscany
Two of us stayed one night in mid March. It was wonderful. The service, the room, the food, the baths, the spa services were all excellent, and because we stayed on a Sunday night during the off-season, the price was very reasonable. Plus I cashed in a Hotels.com free room and it was a bargain. They even upgraded is to a room with a view over the pools to the mountains.

We stayed at the Adler several years ago and it did not measure up to Fonteverde. The view at the Adler is magical, but the restaurant, the service, the ambience, and the facilities are inferior. Plus it's more expensive. I checked it first.

Tough start great finish
Rough start. Hot water ran muddy for 20 minutes. The prickly desk personel said they had a line break and were incredulious that we had come down to inform them. Obviously the room was not in ready condition and the phone did not work. Spa , bar, and our room were all first class. The breakfast was unbelievable

La habitación superior es muy pequeña , el aire acondicionado lo tienen limitado , hay q pedir q lo dejen encendido porque sino se corta cada 2 minutos y hay q volver a encender . La TV no funcionaba , se le dijo al personal pero nunca lo solucionaron .

Lugar cinematográfico!! Tudo perfeito. Piscinas aquecidas para qualquer gosto. Excelente escolha. O único detalhe que deixa a desejar é a quantidade de cachorros por todo lado: na sala do cafe da manhã, nos corredores. Além de anti-higiênico, o cão no quarto ao lado pode começar a latir as 7 hs da manha. É uma pena, pois pensei ter encontrado meu refúgio na Italia......
