the room was in good condition, clean and spacious, the bed and the pillows were pretty comfortable. we even got a free upgrade! there were free biscuits, coffee and cold tea in the lounge room. however, the water temperature in the shower was difficult to manage, either it was too cold or too hot. the elevator was quite old since the hotel is in an old building.

Best stay for a layover!
Check in was a breeze even though the deadline is 12am but I made it on time and even called to let the front desk my flight was delayed. Room was on the 10th floor, where the entire hotel itself is in, so this was new for me. Bed was soft but comfy, bathroom was clean and no mold. Room came with a fan and AC above and it was hot during the summer. WiFi was working well and no problems. Also wanted the free filtered water on the common area and saw there was self laundry service that I did not take advantage there. Location was close to many things.

Had a wonderful 9 night of stay from 27 March - 5 April.
Good point:
- Room are clean, all staff attitude is responsive, helpful and friendly.
- They have a mini pantry to refill water, winter melon lemon drink and some snack for refreshment.
- Washing machine @ 100 Twd / Dryer @ 100 Twd
For me, paying this only take 50 min for washing 50 min for drying [1time] so paying is okay for me.
[Some hotel have it for free but you have to consume more time to keep washing and drying as they are of low speed and have to spend more time monitoring]
- The food nearby are all very tasty and very near to the train station and ximending.
Can be improve:
- The hotel is at level 10 of the building and have to share the lift with their residence / office people and if you urgently need to use the toilet better find a toilet nearby first.
- Shower water are very hard to adjust, either very hot or very cold.
- Shower water very small, abit time consuming to shower.
- The ceiling is abit too low for tall people above 1.7m to stand in the bathtub for shower so have to shower at the corner beside the bathtub.
- For my room the soundproof was bad it is near to the other room so when i am on my bed sleeping, i can hear the room beside hanging their thing on the hanger as there are the “kiang kiang kiang” sound which is quite annoying and also when people return back to the hotel as it was near the lift too.
But overall summarize, the stay there was still amazing and wonderful.

The property is located on the 10/F of a residential building. Building feels relatively safe although access controls could be enhanced to improve guest security.
My stay was good and really appreciated that the reception allowed me to check in 3h earlier as all shops were closed as I arrived when typhoon Kong-Rey struck Taiwan. The convenience of this location and the value for money offered for its proximity to 西门町 is really fantastic.

Our family of 3 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Attic. Rooms were comfortable, facilities were adequate (including a pantry area we really appreciated). Location was excellent - very walkable to where we needed to be, with lots of food options in the area.
Only minor complaint is that room was a wee bit compact for three. Would have given 5 stars on property otherwise.

When arriving the building, we were a bit skeptical as it looks like a very old residential building. But when arrived on the reception level, it gives a different perspective altogether. Nice and clean. Reception staff was helpful and polite. The only thing that is not good is when turn on the water in shower, the drain has a really bad smell. Not sure if this can be improved. Other than this, all is good. Thanks.

Will stay in this hotel again if I visit Taipei again. Super convenient to Ximending the trendy shopping area. Fantastic staff who has arranged our room right opposite the pantry and also their reception and staff had friendly attended to us almost immediately as I thought to informed them I bringing 2 teenage girls and 1 80+old mum with me. Super arrangements I would say and appreciate their help. Sorry to caused much inconveniences as mum asked to call for me. Thank you again. :) to lovely staff.

Small little in the midst of a residential building. A bit out of way to the nearest metro. But the big room, bed and cleaniness make it up.

We had 12 people stay and the hotel hosts were incredibly kind and accommodating. If I had questions, I just asked via LINE and they were able to respond in english as well!

I stayed in early December with a friend. This is really a no-frills, cheap stay but for the same price, you can get much better in Ximen. Service is lukewarm... luckily they allowed me to cancel one night so I only stayed 1 out of 2 nights so that was nice of them.
The walls really need to be repainted the walls were full of marks.. which is gross affected our comfort levels. The room was stuffy and had a weird smell. The only plus were the big big queen beds, which is why I initially booked here.
The elevator is shared with everyone else in the apartment building and the elevator is old..

I was very disappointed in this hotel. The stay felt more like a motel than hotel. The service was very mediocre at the reception desk.. smily but not friendly, inviting, or welcoming.
The room was very stuffy and had a bit of a smell... like musky. And the walls... please paint the walls. They are gross.. there are marks everywhere, which really affected my comfort levels. Even though the room was pretty clean with a bit of dust, it felt dirtier because of the nasty walls. There are way better hotels for this price point in Taipei.. we moved to the Hej hotel for the third night and it was so much better

Helpful staff. The room is small but clean, and overall great location. The hotel uses one floor of an old building, so I got surprised getting into the hotel but once you are in the 10th floor everything looks much cleaner and organised.

We were a bit skeptical after our driver dropped us off. It occupies the whole of level 10 but it doesn't have any counter at the first floor. Staff was very welcoming and easy going and shared w us many things. Room was spacious and bright. Ideally located near Xi Men exit 1 and near eateries.
Poor design of bathroom, don't understand why there no shower curtain as the water kept splashing out and wet the whole bathroom. Although the hotel is relatively new (under 1 year), some of the paints on the wall was tearing.

Our family of 5 were very happy with this hotel. There were 2 queen beds which were super comfy!! The pillows and duvet were so soft, we slept great :) There is a small sun room area in the room which was good for our kids to sit and colour in. There was a bath in the bathroom, the 1st bath we have had in 2 weeks of travelling so it was nice! The hotel is on the 10th floor in a building and location was excellent, walking distance to the main area, restaurants and the subway. We enjoyed our stay here

위치가 좋다보니 타이페이의 다른 숙소들의 물가를 생각해보면 (유독 숙소물가가 더 비싼듯) 위치와 시설 대비 괜찮은 가격인 것 같습니다. 제가 묵은 방은 제일 안쪽 방으로 다른 후기를 보면 제가 묵은 방은 창문이 열리지 않아 습기조절이 안되어 냄새가 난다고 하는데… 대만 날씨 생각해보면 창 닫고 에어컨 켜두는게 제일 좋은 습도유지방식일 것 같고, 화장실 창은 열리므로 화장실 문과 창문을 열어두면 환기가 어느정도 되어 좋았습니다. 지내는 동안 특별히 방에 냄새가 나거나 너무 습해서 불편하진 않았습니다.
