I recently stayed at Hotel Machova and wanted to share an important lesson I learned during my visit. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of not using the safe at the reception to secure my cash while I was at the hotel. After I checked out the room, I discovered that the cash was missing.

The hotel’s rules state that they are not responsible for lost personal belongings. It is ultimately my responsibility to keep my valuables secure.

Overall, while the hotel itself was ok, this experience has taught me to be more vigilant with my belongings in the future.

Absolutely shocking

Things weren't great from the get go, the receptionist was super rude when we were checking in.
We requested a non smoking room but we're given room 1 which was next to the smoking area and so the room smelt of smoke still. There's also no air conditioning so if you want to cool the room down you have to open the window at the smoking area. The walls are super thin so you can hear everything in the surrounding rooms and outside the rooms. It was incredibly noisey and doors were banging loudly till 1am.

On the third day our toilet paper hadn't been topped up and we were running low, we asked for more and were told housekeeping would provide the next day. When we said we didn't have enough to get through the night they said they'd take a look. We never got any toilet roll.

I'd never stay here again.

A bit inconvenience to park a car (for free).
I can tell that may be difficult, but many hears are jammed with the floor carpet.
Staffs are friendly and kind to support sightseeing. Breakfast is good.

It was ok but I have some comments. The bathroom is very tiny and stinks. The parking is 1.3 miles away (16 minutes walking fast). Breakfast is fair but simple.

Okay if you don't need wifi or parking

Do not stay in room 2 or 3. There is NO wifi in those two rooms. Room 2 and 3 are also on the ground floor and there was a lot of road noise and young people listening to loud music right outside the window. Parking is a 15 minute walk away, so if you have a car, I'd find another hotel. Breakfast was nice. The front desk was kind and helpful. Easy access to public transportation.

This is a list of the things that are not as claimed by the hotel.
1. Parking is not on-site and is actually 1km (10 minutes) away; during the walk between I did not feel safe.
2. Wifi is useless, off peak times it works but in the evening or morning it is down more often than up. Do not rely on it.
3. Breakfast is there but there isn't much, wasn't impressed but at this point I was well into hating this place.

Basically this is a hostel with private rooms. If you are looking for cheap then go for it, otherwise I would pass.

No parking at hotel

Hotel was easy to find, though it was not brought up that you could not park near the hotel. Had to park at sister hotel which was a 10 minute walk away. Bathroom was very very small, to include a low water pressure from the shower head. Bed and breakfast was decent.

Value in a solid location

Overall very solid hotel. Staff was friendly and able to answer questions, provided a map, etc. Parking is included for free at a sister hotel. 4 minute drive, 15 minute walk away. Easy to get into the old town - there is a metro stop a few blocks away or you can walk in about 25 minutes.

Cheap hotel. Ok accommodations

Good cheap hotel. Rooms are small and bathroom even smaller. Beds are very uncomfortable and the bedding is stained. Wifi worked fine. Didn't have the breakfast so I can't speak to that. Hotel profile says 24 hour guest services but no one was there at night or on Sunday. Also, the rooms have physical keys instead of key cards (not very convenient).

Shabby, but clean and conveinient

I chose this hotel because I wanted a hotel that was close to central Prague, but inexpensive. Positives: wireless internet worked well, hotel was very clean, the included breakfast was satisfactory, front desk staff spoke English well. Negatives: there were holes in the towels (but they were clean), the bed was two twin beds pushed together, the bed(s) were rather uncomfortable, there was no shampoo/conditioner/soap for a shower (although the corner store nearby sold all of these things). Overall I would say the hotel reflected the cost and I was satisfied.

Lovely hotel at a quiet location.

I was quite please by this little hotel overall, especially by its location. It is situated just three underground stops away from the old town square, i.e. all points of interest are within a very easy reach, yet the hotel is not in centre of all the bustle, which makes staying there much more pleasant. There are numerous lovely restaurants very close to the hotel, and I would recommend dining there.

Good location and price

Only stayed one short night but the location was close to public transit which is key in Prague. The only beef I had was that it was a hot muggy night and there was no AC and the air flow wasn't great in the room. Breakfast was fine and I got a great price so no real issues here- I would recommend it.

Affordable but wish the neighborhood was better

The hotel was a short walk from the metro station. There was a trolley which runs down the main street but it was always too full to use - so we just walked. The room we had was on the fourth floor. The elevator only goes to the third floor so you have to walk the last flight but it isn't bad. The problem with the fourth floor is the layout. You are in the \"attic\" of the hotel and heat rises. We were there in the early spring and it was cold outside but still very hot in our room. The windows were in the ceiling so you could not leave them open when you left the room in case it rained (the windows are directly over our bed.) Breakfast was minimum but free. Valet service was not as expected. For a small fee per night they offer \"valet\" service but that means you are allowed to drive your car 1 km away and park it in a secure area at a sister hotel, then walk the 1 km back. If you stay here with a car, I recommend it as parking on the street did not seem safe for your car. At the end, the hotel was acceptable, no major problems and we would likely stay again if we were on a tight budget and couldn't afford to stay near to the main squares.

しかも目の前にコンビニみたいなお店があるのでとても助かりました！

The location was convenient, not far from Jana Masaryka tram stop. The room was a bit small, but it was good enough. The breakfast was okay. The only bad things were that it wasn't very soundproof, I could hear too well when my neighbours arrived or left their room or what they talked in the corridor. Also the bathroom was a bit tricky. I'm a normal-sized person, but I had trouble getting to the shower as the closet door only opens partly and in the room the shower was in the corner behind the sink.

But the price was good and so was the location for my needs, so all in all not a bad experience.

C'est okay

Le séjour s'est bien passé, le personnel est serviable, pas de problèmes majeures.
2 choses à noter:
- La personne en charge du ménage laisse la fenêtre ouverte toute la journée (en fonction de l'heure où cette personne vient bien sûr) ce qui fait que le soir, on se fait piquer par pleins de bêtes qui ont donc pu rentrer dans la journée. Je pense que ce sont des moustiques mais bon 5 boutons qui grattent c'est pas top
- Je pensais l'hotel beaucoup plus centrale dû aux avis que j'avais lu disant que la localisation était top, je ne dirai pas ça. la localisation est okay, pas trop mal mais pas génial non plus. Je trouve donc le rapport prix/emplacement/qualité pas top, assez cher pour ça.
Autre point: j'ai l'habitude de m'endormir avec la tv allumée. Or, aucune chaîne internationale à regarder!

They didn’t returned the book I left behind

I forgot my book inside the bathroom. When I realized that, by the time I went back to take the luggage I had left at the locker room, the from desk man said that no one had reported it. He didn’t even looked up! This man was smelling really bad, by the way.

Should be a hostel not a Hotel

I could hear other hotel guests in the hallway talking when I was in my room.I could also hear their conversation when they were in their own room. A lot of slamming with the doors. The bed was not good, and when I looked under the mattress, the ribbone was broken. The bed also creaked every time I moved.

Easter vacation.

Nice hotel in a quiet area. About 5min walk to tram. The room was nice but the beds a bit hard. TV is horrible no English spoken program at all. So make sure you can stream. ;-)
Breakfast was a bit \"plain\" but ok.
Staff was friendly and spoke good English. Oh yes, the elevator is quite small if you have big suitcases.
I can easily stay there again.

小さなホテルですが部屋がとても広くてリラックス出来ました。メゾネットのお部屋で、バスルームも広々してました。残念なのはエレベーターが4階までしかないので5階のお部屋が1階分階段を使うことになります。ホテルの方がスーツケースを運んでくれたので助かりました。

Zum Übernachten ist das Hotel mehr als gut. Zimmer sauber. Früstuck gut. Hotel liegt ca. 2-3 min. Fußweg bis zur nächsten S-Bahn Haltestelle und ca.10 min. Fußweg bis zur nächsten U-Bahn Station.
