The room was nice, the location is perfect, and the staff were friendly. The only thing I wish to be improved was the lack of any soundproofing between the adjoining rooms. Every single little noise could be heard so clearly that it felt like my neighbors were in my room with me and vice versa. If I had known about the lack of privacy I honestly would have paid more for a different room. That being said, it was still an overall positive experience and I would recommend Pension Brezina otherwise.

Perfect location for the price.
Walking distance to old city center.
Friendly staff, fast check-in. Advised about good restaurants where locals go.
There was email with instructions how to get to the hotel from airport, what was very useful information.
Only one drawback - location is quite noisy with city noise, and you need to keep windows closed. But air-condition didn't work. Hopefully it will be fixed for next guests.

Generally I would recommend this hotel.

Small but nice, well-located and fantastic service

Overall a great stay, with very professional staff and very good location. They were easy to contact, quite helpful and solution-oriented when we had problems.

It's a block away from the metro, and lots of different trams, so you'll be able to get anywhere in Prague quite easily. Lots of bars and restaurants around too, including some of the best breakfast I've ever had in the city.

The rooms are small but clean, accurate to their pictures and descriptions.

One important warning: their standard room has a huge door connecting to the neighbor's room, so you can literally hear each other the entire time. The rooms are very small so this was quite unpleasant. I would not recommend that room specifically, but rather the next tier—which was quiet, a little bigger and definitely worth the money.

Could here the neighbors but wasn't a problem. Everything was better than expected. Super clean, near everything, good breakfast cafe across the street, IPPavlova elevator across the street. Noisy traffic but it always calmed down after 10pm. Would stay here again! !

It was an ok hotel for a short stay. Was a very small room with little space for luggage. My room was in a building that hosted other businesses. The lights were never on in the stairwell at nights which always made me nervous. I had no internet the first night but that was quickly resolved by the technician. Bring your own towels. The towels provided seems to have been in use for ages... they were so thin and old. If you just need great location and do not intend on spending much time in your room then take your chance.

A Great Find

Brezina is very central. A short walk from I P Pavlova metro. Easy to find with pubic transport...don’t waste money on a taxi. Lovely room on 4th floor. Didn’t even realise we had nightclub under us. Breakfast was plentiful; cold meat, cheese, sausages, cereal, fruit, juice lots of different drinks. Small eating room but not crowded. Could leave luggage in Reception as we had a late flight back. Won’t look elsewhere when we return,

Great hotel with full equipped kitchen

We are really happy for the kitchen facility. There are next door supermarket. Room is big with the bath tub facility. Bed is good. What we don't like is the different location between reception and the apartment. Although it's the short walk, but the city road is not able us to the wheel of our luggage. So we need to hold the big suitcase and walk to the apartment.

Basic room with bugs and no wifi

I checked for a lift before booking as travelling with my aged mother. Put in basement with no lift. No wifi as advertised. When questioned I was told rudely if you buy budget you get basement and no wifi. The budget room was not advertised in this way. The room was swarming with silverfish and when I let them know they laughed and said no bugs here and I cant see any holes in your clothes.
Very close to the metro and bus stop. Wouldn't stay here again.

Decent location, good value

Good location well within walking distance of main sites.
Arrived early, however as one of our rooms was ready, we were able to drop our bags off and get changed.
Decent rooms, only downside was the wi-fi didn't work and the sheets had a couple of dubious stains !
Really good bar next door with decent prices.
Reception were helpful and arranged an early hours taxi at a good price for return trip to the airport.
Definitely recommended for a group of lads looking for somewhere to get their heads down.

Good simple pension close walking distance to center. Very quiet with plenty of room, good size beds, and perfect temp/heat in winter. Would stay here again for value and location and no major issues, but a few negatives were: typical EU-style sewer smell in bathroom but didnt affect bedrm area; beds were comfortable but unevenly worn and need to flip mattresses. Soap and towels provided but bring own shampoo. Decent place for a cheap stay close to center.

Thr hotel has two buildings. The one on the right when facing the building that houses the reception is a dump. We were given a room there for the first night - couldn't sleep with young, party-goers opening and closing the door to the room area at all hours. There is absolutely no soundproofing on the floor (lights from the hall came through the gap between the door and the frame at full strength as iif the light was turned on inside the room). I have had a fair share of hostels and cheap accommodation experiences but this ranks as the worst re: sleep quality. After the first night, I talked to the front desk. The hotel gave me another room in the other building. The new room was in a much better condition than the first and the floor layout as well as the sound proofing were better. The showerhead holder was broken and other items neded fixing. However, no molds, drainage was good and water pressure strong. Overall, the property left me with an impression that the owner has given up on upkeeping the property and was barely covering the operating costs with young, partying clientele. Definitely a wasted opportunity in a good location in Prague.

Reasonably nice in a reasonable location

First impressions were very bad, the building reminded of a scene out of hostel. However the room itself was brand new and immaculate and the WiFi was excellent. 10 minutes walk to Wenceslas square, and the host upon check out was very friendly. Watch out for the restaurant scams around prague castle, espescially any place 99kc cheap goulasch. Also watch out for the currency exchange places, double check the rates and any fees they might charge, a lot of them are exorbitant.

We stayed in one of the rooms with a shared bathroom as we just needed somewhere cheap to stay over night. The room exceeded our expectations. It was a bit dated and the bed wasn't the most comfortable but the room and the bathroom was really clean and staff was friendly and helpful. Location was perfect, lots of pubs around and also very close to the underground. Great value for money.

Weekend getaway with a friend

The room was very cosy and clean. We had fresh towels everyday. The staff was very polite. They even stored our luggage the last day till 3 o'clock. The location was also on the spot. You can everywhere by foot if you don't mind walking a bit. I would definitely go back there again and recommend it for a few nights stay.

i had the room on the fifth floor (lift was working perfectly) spacious room ,was a good base not very far from public transport ie trams and metro which took you very quickly to the main sight seeing spots Some you could walk to.. Breakfast was simple and buffet style and staff very friendly .

The hotel is basically several sections of rooms within a larger building that houses also apartments and offices. It is within a block of the Metro (only two metro stops from main train station). My room was on the 4th floor, access through an elevator.

I was able to walk downtown, to the river and castle from the hotel. Not the most appealing place, but good value for money, especially for a short stay. No major complaints.

I'm not sure the staff is there 24/7, but they are most of the time and they were helpful with tips on how to get around and save some money as well.

A week in Prague

Good value and location for an inexpensive stay in Prague. Very close to the metro, though you can walk to the old city and other locations in 30min or less.
Take the 22 tram for a tour of a lot of the city too. Stops at a Tesco for groceries.
Was disturbed one morning with building renovations, but they moved us to a new room.
Would stay again.

Our reservation was for 1 double and 1 sofa bed but we were given 2 single beds on opposite sides of the room with a pull out chair in the middle. Reception stated that was all they had. Prague is a beautiful city with so much to see and it's easy to get around. Make sure you sample all the different foods from the vendors, the are delicious. Prague was not as inexpensive as I thought it would be.

Good Budget Hotel

The location of hotel is great- right by a tram and metro stop in the new town and a short ride away from the historic centre. The room was fine, fairly big for European standards, and the bathroom had clearly been updated recently. The beds were a bit old and not very comfy, but ok. The only issue really was on the second morning when I went to have a shower, there was no water. I thought I was just doing something wrong and tried again, only to get a bunch of brown dirty water pour out! Luckily, I was not standing IN the shower at this point. When I spoke urgently with the front desk staff, they said that there had been a problem with the water that morning and it should be fixed in about 20 min and to just let the brown water run until it was clean again. While I appreciate that it was an old building, it would have been good to know in advance (even an early morning phone call to the room would have been fine) that there would be water repairs occurring and potential brown water spraying out.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and spoke good English. Our room was on the top floor off the building next to reception. There was a lift to get there. The room was en suite with very basic facilities. It was clean and there were fresh towel every day. We paid for breakfast which was a buffet with a good variety including cereal, yogurt, pastries etc.
It was very convenient for using public transport. There was a metro and tram stop at the end of the street. It was only a 5 minute walk to the museum and Wenseslas Square.
Overall basic but a perfect base for exploring the city.

Antique Structure, Cozy Insides

This is going to be a short review even though I stayed a week at the place. The building is old and interesting, the stairs going up are worth at least one go even if you're on floor 4; if nothing else you can work off all the meat, dumplings, and beer. The staff is variable, sometimes you get someone who speaks very good English and other times not so much. This only caused an issue when trying to get the shower fixed, but eventually they did get it repaired and so there's nothing really to complain about.

Perfect for a weekend away

This is an ideal place to stay if you are on a weekend away. Its very secure and its in a great location as its not too far a walk to the main city centre (10 mins) The food next door to the hotel is extremely good too. Overall a super weekend.

Decent hotel in Prague

I wasn't expecting much, but the room was fine. All other hotels on out trip were 4-star and this is 3-star but there wasn't that much difference in what we got here. The location was fairly easy to get to from the train sation (helped by knowing where to go). The staff were helpful and friendly. The faciliites were not elegant but perfectly acceptable..

the only good thing I like Abu the hotel is very close to metro, walkable distance to shopping strip..
the hotel itself, reception is at a different building, rooms at a different building two doors down , receiptionist not friendly at all...
the mattress was very thin that I can feel the spring!!! woke up with back pain!!! the light wasn't on at the hallway, and I didn't know where they switch is.

Make sure hotel is aware if you have a hotel car, we were lucky that they had a carspace available.

The hotel was fine. We stayed in room 5. I liked the outside door, I thought it was cool looking. The bathroom was small; could barely bend down in the shower and no much space between the sink and the toilet. No bidet. Only some rooms come with AC, I thought I booked one with it but, I guess not. The room door was complicated to open (trust me, I know it sounds weird), but one of the guys I was staying with had the magic touch so it was ok. Older hotel, but still clean.

A good budget hotel in a decent location

This hotel is situated in the New Town area about a 5 minute walk from the National Museum. It's also less than a block away from IP Pavlova Metro Station so whilst it's not right in the tourist centre everything is easy to access.

I was in a twin room that was very clean and comfortable with an en suite shower, air-con, fridge and small safe provided.

I was on the ground floor and thought I was going to hear noise from the Music Bar next door but heard nothing.

I didn't use the breakfast option but heard it was good.

In summary a good budget hotel in a decent location with everything you would need for a comfortable stay in Prague.

My wife and I decided to take a weekend break and visited Prague. We booked this hotel purely due to its central location. Although advised that the hotel was 15 mins from old town, its actually 35 mins which not too bad. We walked to all the attractions and didn't need a taxi at any occasion.

Our only disappointment was the service we received. During our booking, we made a note that we required a king bed but received two single beds joined together.

Overall, hotel was good value for money.

We were on the top floor of the apartment building next to reception and our room was clean and comfortable. In addition the WiFi worked well and the hotel was only about a 15 minute walk to the center of town. This hotel provides very good value.

our experience was overall positive, the room was clean and big and the hotel in a convenient location within walking distance to the cities main attractions. We found the bed to be really uncomfortable and only had one pillow each, we did ask for extra which the staff promptly brought to our room. The staff were helpful and polite. There seemed to be some work happening in the hotel and the banisters were a little dusty. And of course the hotel was nice and cheap :) I would recommend this place to friends.

Great experience!

Perfectly well located. It's very close to the main train station and close to the historical area , just walking distance. Staff are very polite, the hotel is clean, you get wireless and breakfast included and the best is that it is super inexpensive. Also, it is a beautiful historical building (1820) perfectly preserved and maintained. I loved it!

Great budget hotel for young and old alike

This is a budget hotel outside the downtown area, but only a short walk from Wenceslas Square, and less than a block from the metro. Our room was on the top floor (165 steps) but there was a lift which worked and was always available. The room was light and airy with Velux windows giving good views. It was warm, clean and cozy, if very basic. I was disturbed by noise from the adjacent room one night, and I expect they were disturbed by my snoring too. There was plenty of hot water and the shower was good, except that the shower head's mount on the wall did not work, so one had to hold the shower head in one hand.

The best thing about the hotel was the generous continental breakfast offered in the little restaurant. There was a great selection of cereals, fruit, meat, cheese and a variety of breads, as well as yoghurt. Coffee, teas, hot chocolate and fruit juices were available.

Overall, it was a very acceptable place, and I would go again. My wife loved the balance between economy and comfort.

Friendly staff, clean

The location of the hotel is pretty good, close to Metro and Trams to major sites, also walking distance to major sites. The rooms were very basic but clean, it's not the modern hotels North American clients would expect. However, the staff was very helpful.

Pretty good Hotel for the price

The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. It included breakfast and was a quiet hotel. It was a good hotel for the value and would stay there again for a short stay. It is near Wencselas square but would have been nice to be closer to Old Town Square.

Great location, good price

The location of the hotel is just one block from I.P. Pavlova metro station. The staff is friendly. I called ahead because I was checking in after 12AM, they assured me that it is no problem. The reception is not at the same entrance as the guest entrance. The elevator stops between floors so it took a bit to figure out where is my room. The price is adequate. Great place to crash overnight.
