Cozy hotel Villa Wagner, located in the very heart of New town, will be your new home for the time of your stay in Prague. The nearest metro station is just 5 minutes walk from the hotel, and stroll to Wenceslas square will take about 5 minutes.
Each room is equipped with everything necessary for comfortable stay: big comfortable bed, modern smart-TV, tea set, mini-bar and a room safe. Free wireless internet (Wi-Fi) and television is available in each room.
Room cleaning is done daily, linen and towels are changed every three days. Breakfast served in a form of a buffet will pleasantly surprise you with selection of hot dishes, pastry, fruits and vegetables.

I will look up around 11:30 PM on the first night because a red light was blinking up in the heating unit. I called downstairs to say was there a problem a red light blinking near? The heating seemed like it would be a problem but they said that it was just that the battery needed changing. I asked if the battery could be changed and they said no the electrician was not there until the morning.
So first thing in the morning I said, when can you please fix that flashing red light in the ceiling and they said the electrician comes in at nine will have him take a look. I assumed that they did what they said they were going to do. But at midnight on the second night, I woke up and the red light was still flashing. I called downstairs. They said oh sorry we can move you to another room, but there’s no electrician till tomorrow morning.
So two nights a bad sleep, something that signal danger flashing all night, long, and the person at the front desk, who told me that the electrician would have a look, was not telling me the truth. Or else she just didn’t tell him I don’t know, but really two nights of worrying and not sleeping

This is a very cute property in an amazing location. The lobby lounge is cozy with live music nightly, and the staff was friendly. The rooms were very small and had deep storage which made staying for 5 nights with 3 of us difficult. There were no dressers, drawers, and just a very small area to hang clothes. The room also had very large temperature swings that were difficult to control, it was either super hot or freezing. Overall this is a cute hotel, but the room comfort did not align with the price of the stay.

This was a quaint hotel in a very convenient location, with subways nearby and a short walk to Greenwich Village, Soho, and other areas. The staff was helpful and accommodating. I liked everything about the hotel and stay except for the fact that when I booked through Expedia, I was told that all taxes, fees , etc. had been included, but when I went to check out, i was hit with a $40 \"facilities fee\" even though i had not used anything--minibar, breakfast, etc. This was highly disappointing to me, and when I complained, I was told nothing could be done about it, that this was their policy.

Appreciated when one of the elevators went out of order it was repaired quickly. Room was fine for one. The desk was hard to use because the chair pulled out hits the bed and the curved leg area under the desk made it impossible to sit at an angle. A flat desk would be great in that small space. Other than that great amenities. Also ate at the restaurant every day. Staff was fast and friendly. Food was excellent every time. Would definitely be back

Walker is in a great location in Greenwich Village. It has a cool lobby and vibe. Our room was very small (normal for NYC) but had a loud A/C and a damp smell and feel.

Nice property in good location. There were a couple of issues during my stay (which I made the property aware of). Fire alarm went off early am, which was a false alarm but that was inconvenient. My room was very very warm. I think the building (older) has a hard time keeping up on AC so important to note for any summertime travel. I told them after night one which they gave me a fan and said they sent up someone, the fan did nothing (and was quite dirty). Room stayed at 80 during my stay, just too hot and uncomfortable for sleep.

The hotel is in a good location, and the overall lobby, bar, restaurant and live music are great.
However, the air conditioning barely worked throughout the hotel. It was almost 34 degrees some of the days during our stay and we could never get our room cold enough and there was no cold water you could use for the shower. It was difficult to find any relief from the heat! Overall the room smelled strongly of mildew due to the moist humidity. Additionally the rooms were on the small side and felt a bit tired. The lighting in the room was very poor and when attempting to turn on one of the lamps it actually gave me a mild electrical shock.
Overall the location is good and the overall “aesthetic” but there are some items I couldn’t look past in terms of overall comfort and functionality for the price and I wouldn’t stay here again for that reason.

We arrived before a well publicised heat wave yet were given a room with faulty air conditioning. Many, many phone calls and in person entreaties to reception we were fobbed off with stories that the engineer could not find a problem despite the conditioner registering 78 and even 80 degrees. We were given a fan (the hotel calls itself luxury) which barely coped and made the air conditioner go higher in its temperature. Finally, after four sweltering nights when the conditioner heated the room even when the heatwave broke, and it could not be switched off, we were given a room change with a working air conditioner. They then admitted that the room we had did have a faulty air conditioner. Lack of sleep made it all much worse, Other gripes include only one bathrobe for a booking for two. And then when we secured a second, the cleaning staff removed it the next day. The rooms are very small, beds are also small, so if you are over 5’6, you feet will hang over. It is also very dark. We won’t be returning. The final failure was the faulty fire siren which went off at 5am.

I travel extensively, staying both at mid-range and high-end hotels. Having just spent a full week at the Walker Hotel Greenwich, we were very disappointed. For $500 per night, many things should have been better. It truly feels like a hotel operating without a hotel manager as the employees don't care about their jobs or the guests. I understand New York culture is more brusque than most of the US, but couldn't a single person make an effort during the week. The front desk was unpleasant checking in and out. Additionally, our room was so tiny (for $500) that there was no where to sit the luggage or store our clothes. The curtain rod was broken so it was difficult to open the window to get relief from the excessive heat. One morning the cleaning staff had a loud 10-minute party right outside our door while we tried to sleep. On my last visit to NYC, I stayed at a Four Points Sheraton for half the price and it was a much better experience. (P.S. The Society Cafe on-site is great.)

I am absolutely serious when I say how much my friends and I completely enjoyed our experience. The environment is fun, clean, and very New York...but shockingly affordable! I loved the thoughtful details down to the espresso martini available in the hotel room minibar. Cute. And I don't even drink. The rooms aren't big but this is NYC. My bestie and I shared a room and were perfectly comfortable. Cleanliness is important to me. Check that box again. My highest praise goes to the staff. I don't remember everyone's names and am so sorry for that. The lovely short-haired blonde person at check-in/out. Dale at the front door was so nice to talk with. Our server in the restaurant was perfect. This is coming from a table of those that work(ed) in the service industry. Peter, the guy in charge, gave us a fun little tour of the hotel highlights. He was the BEST and so interested in our experience there. We loved him and had great stories to share with literally everyone we have seen since. One last thing includes the pancakes. I'm not into pancakes but will eat them every time I return. Simple and perfect. I'll be back in NYC this Sunday and am booking The Walker. Our group will be visiting quite a bit this year checking on a friend. We all intend to stay at The Walker. Thank you everyone!
