We had high expectations with this hotel being 4 stars but we were shocked by the rudeness of the staff.
Breakfast is from 7.30-10.30, however even when you go at 10am they stop replacing food and when we asked the staff if we could have some more, they could not understand or speak English (in a 4 star hotel full of tourists), and when I asked the lady to call someone who spoke English, she just ignored me and said walked away. I asked for help to the receptionist who was incredibly rude and told us that “special food” is served in the early morning and when I asked if she could go to check if there was more in the kitchen, she walked back to the reception without saying a word to me and leaving me stood up there. why is the breakfast served till 10.30am if food is not provided anymore?
The room was okay but we stayed for 3 nights, two people and they never provided more shower gel o shampoo. Terrible service.

The hotet was great, in a convenient location. Cleaniness and hygiene weere exemplar. Breakfast was of great quality, with a variety of food. Coffee in breakfadt was great too. The staff was helpful, effective, polite and always available to help. The room was brilliant and very quiet. Bed and mattress were great too offering a quality sleep and rest. From the staff i would like particularly to thank Marina for her excellent support to me and my friends and family. Definetely the hotel is wort to recommend and be my next stop in Prague.

Excellent experience

I stayed at the Archibald for two nights and I recommend this hotel. The room was very comfortable and clean. The bathroom products very specially good. The bathtub was a wonderful surprise and I used it after each day of walking around the city. The location is great, very close to the train station.

This is my second staying in the Hotel within two weeks. The location is excellent, the staff is nice, convinient to all important places in Prague, walkable to the oldtown. THe breakfast is very good and a free lunch soup is provided. Will stay again when visit Prague.

Most hotels in Europe charge outrageous prices for their breakfasts. It was nice to be in a hotel where there was a professional and efficient staff and where breakfast was included (as it should be). Next time we are in Prague we will definitely stay here.

Comfortable beds, good pressure for shower but the shower head turns towards the curtain so to wash your hair having the shower hanged is no fun. Water all iver the floor. Besides that it is 20 minutes to walk to old town, some restaurants around. Buses and trains. Elevators. Small parking for 6 cars total. 20 euros a night. The big breakfast is good and lots of choices. Onky hotel I have know that also provides free lunch( soup and sandwich) between 12-4pm. Front staff is great. Cleaners do the job fast. I would stay there again.

Room was spacious but it was too hot and no opening window in the room. Ac was poor. No fans available.

Terrible breakfast. They never topped anything up and the girls serving couldn’t care less. The breakfast and them really let the hotel down. Items missing such as coffee not topped up, closing earlier by up to 45 mins.

There is a good breakfast and hotel stay includes light \"brunch\" (soup, sandwiches and pastry). This is really nice hotel for the price with very attentive and friendly staff. Definitely would stay again.

Inexpensive but extremely outdated

The hotel was clean, but was so incredibly outdated. The carpet in the room looked like it had been there for 30 years. Same with the curtains and lighting. When you walked in, it was a very drab feeling versus a brighter, more inviting room.

I found the staff on reception to be very friendly and helpful but.....the waitress in the restaurant was quite abrupt. I had booked a gluten free breakfast in advance and when I asked her she shrugged and looked miffed. She said I had to go to reception. The gentleman spoke to her and she glared at me. Made us wait for quite some before fetching it. Next 2 day,s we were only given the bread and not the rest but another lady was given the whole lot. The room itself was spotless and clean and quiet. But the waitress made me feel very uncomfortable. But reception staff were fantastic and I thank them for their help.

Breakfast buffet was good- the brunch option was a nice touch too- not much choice, but good to be able to grab soup/sandwich/drink before check in.
It's a little bit outside the centre, but not so far that you're away from things- the walk from the metro is up a big hill though, so not one to be done with a suitcase!
I was happy with my stay- and booked to come back a week later after the rest of my trip.
They have a luggage store so you can leave bags before/after check out if needed.

The hotel is in a decent location with cheap (and good) dining options. Rooms and facilities are quite clean, and I didn’t feel anything in particular was missing from my stay. Highlights were the free breakfast and brunch included on mornings and afternoons, there were great food options for complimentary meals. Walking to the city center would take probably 15-20 minutes, and a little shorter to the train station. I would stay here again when I return to Prague.

I really appreciated the totally safe parking under the hotel for about 8 cars. It's important to reserve a space for those with cars as it fills up fast. There is a nightly charge but it's reasonable.
The rooms are a bit cramped and I didn't care for the decor but the bed was very comfortable and the space was very clean. The A/C worked well.

Great location, amazing breakfast, fast wifi and a huge room. We weren’t expecting such a large room in Europe but it was an excellent stay for us and our 10 month old. Amazing breakfast had lots of options and the staff were quick to attend to any empty dishes. The brunch was a nice bonus if you were there in the afternoon. We arrived early and they had a locked luggage room as well for us which was great. Highly recommended for the price.

The Hotel was in a great location, near Tram #22, which takes you to Prague Castle. Breakfast was very good, lots of choices, great lunch too! Nice for a family stay

We stayed at the hotel for a special occasion. The staff were really helpful, and the breakfast offering was really good. The hotel is close to the bus and train. The hotel allowed us to leave our luggage on our last day, leaving us free to roam luggage free.

I would have given 5* but giving 3* because of the rude reception lady. She had an attitude with me since I checked in I don’t know why. She should focus on improving her behaviour or get a back office job not customer facing.

Apart from that location is great. It’s a 15 mins walk from the main station and 50 mins walk from Prague Castle. You can easily walk without public transport. Also it’s located on the main street so not outskirts.

Room was very clean and bed was comfortable.

Breakfast was okay. Nothing very good but still convenient.

Atmosphere not really good just because of the staff.

I would recommend this for short stay probably a day or two. For longer than that look for hotels more closer to the tourists attractions.

A pleasant stay

The stay was really pleasant and good. The rooms were clean, comfortable and you had everything that you required. The check in was smooth, the service was also quite good.

Great location (far enough away from the noisy city centre area, but everything in walking distance).

Bed was really comfortable!
Good shower (and bath).
Good air conditioning.
Kettle, tea/coffee and fridge provided.

Not so good:
Bath towels not very big.
Breakfast selection dominated by salads, rice and vegetables. Scrambled eggs and beans not very warm (cereal and small selection of pastries available).
Brunch (free) - although a nice touch, this was sandwiches wrapped in cling film left on the side, cheese that was uncovered and luke warm soup. No drinks. The food being left on the side, uncovered and not in a fridge didn't seem very hygienic.


If visiting Prague again, I would consider staying here again.
