Breakfast was complete and comprehensive. Very good for 12 euros. Breakfast room on -1 level. Unique use of the space for the 18th century building. Beds were comfortable, bathroom extremely clean and plenty of room. Very quiet. Would absolutely recommend this location to train station. Area very walkable. Deminka Restaurant also a must.

We had a very nice stay here. It's a very old building, and didn't offer any air conditioning on some unseasonably warm days. Leaving the windows open exposed us to some noise from the city, but overall it was an enjoyable stay. Every thing was very clean and comfortable.

Deminka Palace is in a great location for visiting Prague. The staff and cleanliness of the room was perfect.

The p-trap in the bathroom smelled like sewage
They could have had a hanger on the wall for the shower wand so it wasnt handheld, and the mattress needed replaced years ago.

All in all, not a bad place, and would stay again if they addressed these issues. Room 204 needs some work

Absolutely fabulous building and the Royal Suite was exceptional..hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The only snag would be if you wanted to cook there were no pots or utensils. However we ate out so it wasn't an issue.. Only a short walk to Prague town an absolutely fabulous place so much to see and do we will definitely be back.

Stayed in the Royal Suite it was beautiful and spacious, it had everything you needed. Easy check in/out. Only downside was the noise from the bar below and the traffic outside. Other than that, really nice place to stay and convient to shops pubs restaurant trams.

Deminka Palace is situated on the edge of Old and New Town. The rooms are simple, no frills, not much character. I stayed in the junior suite which includes a bedroom, common area with a couch, kitchenette, and terrace access.

Family loft was spacious and comfortable

We had the family loft on an upper floor. Was plenty of space. Top bedroom ceiling was low, but no other complaints. Excellent location. We went to the Turkish restaurant down the street. My son was sad we could only stay one night. Neat building, short 10 min walk to Old Town square.

The hotel is beautiful, the room was very clean, lots of space. The kitchenette could've been equipped a little better. No wine bottle opener, no wine or champagne glasses. Just 2 regular drinking glasses. The bathroom was spacious, but no shower curtain in front of the bathtub, also no hook or appliance to attach the shower head to, you literally had to hold it to wet down, then soap up pick up the hose, and rinse off, not very convenient. We loved the location, within walking distance of many beautiful areas and restaurants we wanted to visit. D/t no air conditioning, we had to keep the windows open for some airflow, but there was construction right in front of the hotel which made it very noisy. We were lucky that the temperatures when we stayed there were \"only\" in the low 80s and it cooled overnight. I also have to mention the restaurant Dominka which is right next to the hotel. Awesome service and food and very affordable. I would definitely recommend Dominka Palace Hotel, even with the few \"flaws\" we had a beautiful stay.

The Palace part is no lie.

Absolute luxury right by the National Museum in Prague. The room was enormous and really did feel like a palace. The staff were very friendly, as were the staff at the restaurant next door.

Definately not worthy of a 4 star status.

This hotel could have been so much better for where it is and the price we paid.

Firstly, the hotel receptionist that checked us in was really nice and friendly, as was the gentleman who got us extra pillows when we requested. Infact, all staff we encountered were friendly and polite.

The hotels location was bang on too, with everything you could want within walking distance including attractions, sights and food establishment. The furthest being Prague Castle at approx 1.5miles. However there were tram stops and subway stops nearby if needed, or plenty of Bolt taxis.

The room itself however, I'm not sure how it was rated 4 stars, or how it cost us so much to stay!

The room was so big and empty that it was constantly cold, despite the heating being on and the curtains being kept closed.
Our boiler wasn't working, so we had to have freezing cold showers on our first day and then the second day we managed to get someone to 'fix' it.
The bed was uncomfortable qnd didn't even have a double duvet, but two singles.
The mugs and glasses supplied were FILTHY and clearly not washed for some time. (I'm unable to upload photos of this for some reason)
The adjoining rooms were noisy almost every night until 1am or later, and there was the most annoying buzzing/vibrating noise that went on every single night from approx 9pm until early morning.

Overall for the right price, I'd suggest maybe 1 or 2 nights, but otherwise I'd look around for places in the same area.

Our corner room was huge and comfortable, very comfy bed and pillows, but the shower set up was terrible you had to hold it in your hand but it was good hot water, and we had a kitchenette with a stove top but no utensils or pots to cook with and no knives to cut or chopping board or tea towel was a bit strange. Amazing value though we would recommend to stay.

Very helpful staff. Wasn't able to check in a couple hours early but not a big deal. Was able to keep my stuff in the back closet. They do give complimentary drink tickets to the restaurant next door but you must buy food with it.

Got a spacious corner room which includes a basic kitchen and a blacony-esq room.

Great location and great value ($70~ per night). TESCO close by.

If you require air-conditioning. this is NOT your place. They do provide a rotating fan.

Please make the front door to the hotel easier to open.

Our stay at Deminka Palace was great - perfect location to get to the centre and the train station, and the room was very clean and large. We were staying when it was very hot in Prague but there was a fan in the room which made it a lot cooler and the reception staff were very helpful and attentive.

We've stayed in many 4* hotels in Prague but Deminka Palace is easily the best one. Junior Suite was huge, well equipped and above all every member of staff was friendly and helpful; they even kindly stored our luggage for 3 days until we return to Prague next week!

Close to public transport, 2 minutes from I.P. Pavlova and a 5 minute walk to Museum and top of Wencelas Square.

The stay was going well until the restaurant downstairs started playing music one night very loud from 3-7am and we didn’t get much sleep. The staff was nice enough to compensate and move us. The maids didn’t always clean the room completely but otherwise everything was good. This hotel is very close to two subway stations and has grocery stores, restaurants etc. The staff at the front desk were friendly. Another side note, the wifi isn’t the greatest!

The Deminka Palace is a very good hotel in a great location. Just down the road from the tram stop and a short walk to the main strip with a great bar next door. The hotel itself has a small entrance that you could easily miss but once inside its a really nice hotel and booking a Royal suite and a Family loft, these rooms are the largest hotel rooms I have stayed in (and I have stayed in quite a few).

Overall its a excellent hotel for the money with very friendly staff.

The Royal suite was wonderful and all the staff were friendly and informative. Unfortunately the suite is on the 1st floor and there is a bar below which became noisy of a Saturday evening until about 2am. I will return to the hotel but would choose a room on an upper floor in future. Location is great just behind the National Museum and able to walk to the old town easily.

First time in Prague and we loved it. Reception staff at the Deminka Palace were warm, welcoming and helpful and the room we stayed in was simply furnished and clean. Please note that due to the age of the building there is no air conditioning in the rooms, although a fan was provided. It did get very hot at night. The hotel is near to the museum and a short walk to Wenceslas Square where you can walk on and into the Old Town in around 15-20 minutes.

The lobby was beautiful. Our check in Troghan was wonderful and helpful. Our beds were small , hard, and our room was smaller than it was tall. No decorations. Tiny TV and HOT. Asked for a fan but told they were being used by other customers. It was hot and miserable. The drain in the shower didn't drain so had to wait between showers 30 min.
Overpriced for what it was.

I didn’t like how it was next to the busy street you can hear everything. The tram was so loud, our first night there were a bunch of people racing their cars for like an hour. Even with the windows close you can hear everything. There isn’t any air condition you can hear when other guests open their room door or when they have flushed the toilet. The only thing I like is that the hotel was walkablento the center.

A great place to stay, central and next to Wenceslas square and walking distance within 30-40mins to most attractions. I booked a Royal Suite which is great value for money at just over $100AUD per night. The room is huge though no air-conditioning as they are unable to install due to the hotel being a historic building. There is a fan provided though. Breakfast is ok, the same thing each morning but suffices. Friendly service from reception & free maps provided. Plenty of food & beverage choices surround the building. Is walkable from central train station (about 10-15 mins) but if you have multiple cases or a heavy bag like me then probably best to catch a taxi which was around $7AUD (110CZK) using the Liftago app. They do offer loft apartments on the top floor which have air-con and are massive with the extra bedroom upstairs with a reasonable sized single bed and it's own aircon unit. Central heating is also available if needed. Would definitely stay again.

I was only there for one night with my two young children before heading to the airport early the next morning. The receptionists that we had interaction with were very friendly and helpful. The room was quite nice. We were happy to find an oscillating fan in the room since the temperature was quite high. We also used the airport shuttle which was very efficient and the driver very courteous.

The rooms were large and the beds comfortable. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The reception staff were friendly and very helpful. It was in a great position, just behind the Municipal Building which looks down over Wenceles Square and a short stroll though to Old Town Square. I would recommend that you use their airport transfer service as it was much cheaper than taking a random taxi ftom the airport. I would definately stay at this hotel again.

Tucked away behind a large door is a beautiful little hotel, the staff were helpful & friendly & had a really lovely stay. The hotel is only a couple of minutes away from Wenceslas Square & less than a 10 min walk to Old Town Square. Next to the hotel is the Deminka Palace bar where the food & drink is great, especially reasonable is the lunchtime menu - try the garlic soup.

Friendly staff, prompt cleaning etc.
Breakfast was not good. Room was very noisy due to the boiler in the bathroom and the doors basically let in all sound. you can even hear neighbors partying at night.

The hotel has a real feel of the luxury of the past combined with all the modern facilities needed to make your stay simple and convenient. There’s even a brilliant, old fashioned Czech style pub right next door serving Czech beers and wines as well as a range of tasty meals.

An acceptable hotel in a beautiful city

We had a nice time in Deminka Palace and loved our trip to Prague. We paid £207 for three nights midweek in Sept in a double room which was OK considering we were less than 10mins from Wenceslas Square. The communal areas were beautiful and the staff were warm and friendly. I think the 4-star rating had inflated my expectations a bit. The room was spacious but a bit sparse, the beds were very firm, there were no cushions or rugs to soften the look, there was no bath in the bathroom and the shower was one of those fancy fixed-head ones that sprays you with prickly needles of water but doesn't actually have the pressure to rinse shampoo out of your hair. There was no conditioner or body lotion provided (even on request), the shower and sink both leaked, there was an ugly boiler on show in the bathroom, the breakfast was delicious but the tiny burners keeping the food warm weren't up to the job so the \"hot\" food was room temperature... A breakfast room set for 30 people had one interminably slow two-slice toaster... I definitely don't regret staying here but I had expected a luxury 4* stay and I was a bit disappointed.

OLD BUILDING, DELUXE ROOM, GOOD LOCATION

Stayed at Deminka Palace for 2 nights on 2 occasions during our recently concluded European touring. The hotel is well placed for tourists to explore Prague. It is in close proximity to the railway station, although at the moment, road works are making walking to the station a little difficult. The neighbourhood is inner-city but my wife and I experienced no problems whatsoever, and we walked all over the neighbourhood as well as the rest of Prague on each of the 4 days of our stay. The hotel is located in an old building that has been loving restored.
We booked 1 of the deluxe rooms which was very spacious, with loads of space, comfortable beds, modernised bathroom with seperate toilet space. My only negative comment relates to the shower - the screen is very small and it is impossible to stop the bathroom floor getting very wet.
Breakfast choices were standard but the products supplied are of good quality.
Because we broke our 4 nights stay into 2 x 2 nights, we were able to store our 2 suitcases at the hotel whilst we travelled to Cesky Krumlov for 2 nights. Togzhan at reception, was very helpful in this regard and in helping to arrange our parting transfer to the airport. However it should be noted that there is no bell-boy assistance with luggage when arriving at the hotel. The initial flight of stairs may make it very difficult for incapacitated patrons.
If the carrying of luggage up the entry steps can be overcome, this hotel is a good place to stay in Prague.

Short stay in Prague

We stayed here in September and we were so close to the main square and the museum. Very central and east to get to. The hotel is clean, junior suite just fantastic and the breakfast is very filling. I am coming back.

Lovely hotel

We had a very nice stay at the Deminka Palace. It was a lovely hotel, not one of those modern hotels with no sole, it is a beautiful hotel with lots of character and charm. At one side of the hotel is a bar that serves very good beer and good food, very handy. The staff at the bar and inside the hotel (reception, breakfast service, cleaners) all do a first class job they are friendly, helpful and nothing is to much trouble for them.

Its a nice location and walkable distance to the Wenceslas Square which is a major center of activity. The metro station and the tram stops are close by.

The staff were very helpful. I'd forgotten to take a power converter and the front desk person dropped it off at our room.

Overall I'd highly recommend the place

Negatives:
Breakfast was quite a depressing ordeal
We had booked 2x Junior suites and stayed that 1 needed a shower not bath for my elderly grandparents. I booked well in advance and contacted the hotel to confirm. On arrival we were told no showers were available in the junior suites until tomorrow afternoon. Our options were to take the junior suite with a bath and my grandad couldn’t properly wash for 2 days or we take a downgraded room with a shower for 1 night with no part refund.
The hotel is not elderly/disable friendly as there are many steps you need to take to get to the entrance level.
Rooms are hot, we had to sleep with the fan on all night
No robes provided in the junior suites even though it states they are on the website/ booking.
Overall it was a fairly cheap option for the location but not exactly the level of comfort we were hoping for.
