Room was spotless and included all the basic amenities - soap, shampoo, body wash, kettle. Shower pressure was high and water hot. Staff were excellent, polite and provided quick services. Now onto one of the locks to any man's heart - food... The breakfast buffet was great, coffees were available and a wide variety of foods. They typically had four hot foots, which rotated. Examples include chicken strips, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages. Cereals, fruits, fruit salad, plums in syrup, peaches, yoghurts, pancakes, pastries, cakes which rotated. Examples include sponge cake with chocolate filling, orange cake, blueberry cake, carrot cake (these also rotated). It is close to several key destinations, however Rome is quite vast, so it's impossible to be close to All of them. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel. Apologies for the long food talk, I hadn't seen a detailed review of it when booking myself.

The hotel is central and close to local businesses and restaurants, not far from the Colosseum (10 minute walk). Other points of interest are a little further (about 30+ minutes to the Pantheon, for example) but navigable on foot if you enjoy walking. Important to note that the hotel is only a 5 minute walk from the train station. The area is also safe and quiet. It's a little less busy than the bigger touristy areas. There are many nice restaurants/bars/coffee shops in the area. There is a small, well stocked, supermarket next door.

As a nice surprise, we were assigned a room that had 2 independent bedrooms in one, separated by a door: one bedroom with a king bed, and the other bedroom with 2 twin beds. Needless to say, we had all the space you can wish for. The room was well maintained, with a traditional decor. Most importantly, it was CLEAN. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were good, thick and plenty; hence we slept great.

The bathroom looked to be relatively newly refurbished. It was a little tight- to be expected considering the age of the city and building - but nothing that took away from the overall satisfaction. Yet, the bathroom had all the comforts you need. Air conditioning worked well and was quiet, and we didn't hear much from any guests in the nearby rooms nor from the outside. Street noise, with the windows open, is not bad. The street where the hotel is located is fairly quiet.

Best part of the hotel is the staff: genuine, friendly, helpful.

Don't miss a hidden gem!

All around this was a wonderful stay. Lovely intimate hotel in the older part of Rome. Plenty of restaurants, groceries, cafes, etc. along with the old and ancient sites within easy walk. Plus a complimentary bottle of wine! Would definitely return in future.

The rooms are comfortable, clean, with all necessary amenities. Breakfast is delicious and very well served.

The terrace is a lovely place but the waiter attending it is the worse. Both times I went he never came to take my order, once I had to go into the back of the bar to look for him. And both times I wanted a capresse salad he said they did not have tomatoes. No tomatoes in Italy is hard to believe.

The hotel was very clean and user friendly! The staff was accommodating, helpful and knowledgeable. Their buffet breakfast was delicious! We also enjoyed the rooftop bar. This hotel is so centrally located, you could do the hop on, hop off bus tour with ease. There were two restaurants the were recommended and delicious as well. They were Taverna Urbana and La Mela D'Oro. Both were amazing and within walking distance of the hotel. If your planning on exploring Rome, this is the hotel for you!

Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Wish I could’ve stayed longer but it was sold out for all the days I was going to be in Rome so I only stayed for a half the week. Much prefer this hotel over the new one I’m in.

Staff is very friendly, property is very clean, felt the rooms were spacious for the price tag. The location is also very good. A lot to do within walking distance.

When I’m in Rome again, I will stay here for hopefully the entire duration of my stay.

The hotel is an old building that was classic-looking and clean. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast provided was delicious and plentiful. And the location is very convenient, walkable to virtually everything in ancient Rome except the Vatican.

Staff on front desk very friendly and helpful.

We had an issue where the wardrobe lock failed and this meant for our stay we had to keep the door closed with putting a bag in front of it, that shouldn’t really happen.

Other issue was rooftop bar, bar was never busy but still staff member failed to keep up with timely service. On second time of going, there was 3 other people there and after 15 minutes of waiting and not being served we left.

I couldn’t be any more happy with my stay. Staff was accommodating, kind, and very helpful. The place was close to Roma Termini and we found it easily after arriving at the station. We were in the middle of all the action in Rome. We were within walking distance of all the places you wanted to be. Want me to keep going? Sure—breakfast was awesome. Showers were hot. Our terrace was unbelievably beautiful! Still not enough? The bar on the rooftop was a vibe. Taxis found us easily to go to the Vatican. They checked us into our room early! Need more? The place was fairly priced and had a Roma charm. You could hear the church bells and choirs during mass and the birds fly out your windows like you’re Cinderella. The soaps in the shower smelled good, our sheets were super clean and we always came back to a clean room. This hotel is gem. If you’re stuck between which hotel to stay at, you won’t go wrong with staying at the beautiful, fabulous Raffaello Hotel. I will LITERALLY never forget this place. May need to write a poem about it in the future. Long live this hotel, we loved it so much.

Hotel Raffaello is a nice little hotel that is near a grocery store, shopping, dining and other historic landmarks. The rooftop view and balcony from my room were also quite memorable. I appreciate the location being in so near many things but it not feeling too busy and it was quiet at night for a restful sleep.

Wonderful stay in Rome

This was our second stay here. We love the location. Easy access to trains, buses, restaurants, etc. Not as busy as downtown. We use “hop on-hop off to get to everything. A beautiful remodel since our last stay. Staff were welcoming and extremely helpful with all of our needs. We will return on our next stay in Rome.

Great solo traveller hotel

Great little hotel in the centre of Rome. Nothing fancy and slightly dates, but great service, daily room clean and free luggage storage. I was a solo traveller and my single room had a pretty big bed (small double), fridge, great shower, desk and view from the window. Only a 5 minute walk from the Forum and 10 mins to Colosseum. Very safe area close to train station, metro and dozens of restaurants. Perfect hotel for solo travellers on a budget.

Well located, just 15 min walk to Rome Termini train station, 10-30 min walk to Trevi Fountain, Palazzo Romano and The Pantheon. During this walk you will find a lot of Restaurants and shops. Couple of groceries stores nearby. No metro in the vicinity but at Termini station. At our second stay we received a room upgrade, wonderful room, big, pritty and spacious. A little expensive but recommended hotel. Thanks Expedia for the Champagne and Proseco bottles, great!

Our room was decorated with rose petals for our anniversary which was lovely. The staff were great. The hotel was located around 10-15 minutes from the colosseum but the Trevi fountain was about 25 minute walk. There is a metro stop not far away but we didn’t use it. Relatively good location. The only reason why I gave 4 stars in one category was because the double bed was actually two singles pushed together - which was just annoying.

The property was very central to most tourist sites. Apart from one guy at the desk who greeted us the first night but never saw again, everybody was very kind and helpful. The room was clean. There were windows in the room but no safety and we had kids and the room was really high up so we couldn’t really open them. But it was a nice hotel.

This hotel was well located with only a short walk to all the sites except the Vatican. The Vatican was a 60 minutes walk. Everything else was around 15 minutes away. Room was clean and comfortable. Only complaint is no A/C. We stayed in winter so it was not an issue.
