Everything went smooth. It always does best hotel in central city. I will never stay anywhere else. They care about you here and want your stay to be a good as possible. They always have to give us extra pillows because of the tiny pillows but they always step up. Whatever we need they are always so courteous. Best hotel award BW

The walls felt paper thin. We could hear everything waking us up repeatedly throughout the night and early morning. Iy wasn’t noisy neighbors, they weren’t yelling, they were talking at a normal level but we could hear everything. Constantly. The pool was listed but is closed indefinitely which would have been good to know. Constantly hearing water flowing and bang and creak in the walls.

Hotel is being renovated. May be nice when finished, but we would not recommend it now. Elevator was out of service. Room felt damp and musty. Our mattress pad had blood on it. We asked for a clean one and changed it ourselves. Not all items available at breakfast even though we were there in plenty of time. Desk personnel were not dressed nor acted professionally. ..

As we walked in to check in, the front desk lady was rude and had no people skills whatsoever. She was trying to go on break and we were needing to get our room. With a frown and a tone not warranted, she said, \"I swear, every time I try to go on break, somebody walks in!\" And, there were all of 3 cars in the parking lot. Look, I'm sorry that you have a job to do and are overwhelmed by the amount of people staying at your hotel, but it's called a J.O.B. that you are paid to do. It was really kind of comicle to my wife and me because it took all of 5 minutes to check in. Now to the room...A/C got cold, water was hot and rooms were clean which was great! But, round seated toilets need to be replaced by elongated toilets for sanitary reasons, the beds are hard and I guess that's great if you like that, but we don't. Last, but not least, I totally wish I could post the sign from the morning breakfast that was on the wall because...WOW! Never have I seen a hotel that offers free breakfast, complain about what you eat and what you're limited to and maybe it's been abused at one time or another, but the sign was just petty. Oh, and the indoor pool was shut and out of order, but looked just fine. Anyhow, it was just a one night stay and probably wouldn't stay here again unless it was an emergency. Management or Best Western needs to look into these issues.

The people are friendly and kind. The hotel was not heavily booked during my stay and when I registered, I was told that the complimentary breakfast would be minimized. This was true and not ideal for me. The pool is closed and has a sign that says it has been closed for some time. The only ice machine is also broken and when I asked at the front desk about this, I was told to go over the restaurant across the parking lot because they sometimes give ice away when asked....??? WHAT? (I did not go begging for ice!)

I reserved this hotel, although it was the most expensive, based strictly on the prominent advertising of the pool. There was a sign on the pool door, not at the desk at check in, saying the pool was closed. When I asked the desk person I was told it would be for several months before it would be open! When it is unavailable for \"several months\" they need to change their advertising or put a notice on their website. I asked for a rate adjustment and she said \"they don't do that\". Later that day my husband went to get ice and found out the only ice machine in the hotel was broke. Tried to buy a cold soda and the soda machine was broke. The tub in our room was badly cracked and impossible to even take a bath. I asked the second day for a room upgrade to a whirlpool room and was told she had to call her manager. Eventually our bill was adjusted by $30, but no upgrade. When I checked out I asked for a receipt. The receipt was very difficult to understand. There wasn't even a total on the receipt. When I checked my credit card I saw that I was charged for three nights instead of the two we actually stayed! I called the desk and the person who answered said she didn't understand the receipt either! She said she would look into it and call me back. I hope this was an honest mistake that will eventually be corrected. However, twenty-four hours later and I have not heard back. There are plenty of other places to stay with no pool for a lot less money, even after the $30 adjustment.

Upon entering it smelled like cigarettes. In a non smoking hotel I was surprised. I had hope that this was just a little blip. The room we were given had a damaged bathroom door and dirty bedding. We were moved to another room. Getting off the elevator it smelled very musky. It was so late we just needed sleep. The key fob to our second room did not work so I returned downstairs where we were given a third room. We did not unpack but fell in bed slept for a few hours and left. The hotel needs work.

The staff was polite , breakfast was great and the room was clean. Our only complaint was that the pool was closed. We were really looking forward to relaxing in the heated indoor pool during our stay. It was disappointing knowing that Best Western is such a large chain and couldn't pay a company to maintain the equipment or pool chemicals. We have a pool ourselves and my husband and I manage our chemicals ourselves.

It took 20 minutes to check in, then we spent another 10 minutes messing with the key to our room. I had to return to the service desk 3 times. I was late getting to my event i traveled for. Breakfast was upstairs which is not convenient for handicapped. Seemed the hotel was very understaffed and the desk clerks were working extra shifts, which creates the problems of incidents. Although there is clearly a sign on the door requiring face masks to be worn, Neither front desk clerk, when checking in or out, wore masks. There was not a shield either. We try to be super safe when traveling and this was upsetting. The bed was comfortable, but did not seem to be made well and the sheets did not stay on. Although it was easy on/off the interstate and there were food places nearby, we would not choose to stay here again.

My husband asked at the front desk for more towels and facecloths and he was rudely told that there was a towel shortage and didn’t we have towels in our room. The front desk clerk stated she couldn’t change our rooms for something cheaper even though she had king rooms available. There wasn’t free breakfast even though they said it was available. Gave me a handicap room room. The hotel was not full and I'm not handicap. There were men eating at the breakfast bar with no shirt and barefooted. I checked in later in the day and by mistake left my Amex card on the counter when checking. Unloaded my car and went to eat. I noticed when i started to pay for my meal my Amex card was not in my wallet. I knew the last time i had it. Went back to the hotel and my card was still on the counter and no clerk in sight. It will be hard to stay at this place again even though I have stayed here many times. As a customer they showed me no customer service.

Nice hotel in a small, friendly town. Very nice staff, especially the assistant manager. Only trouble was hotel.com booking taking too long to show up on BW’s screens, so had to wait which was no fault of this hotel. Nice beds, towels, only negative is the paint colors chosen where a bit dark and could be lightened up in the rooms to make them brighter!

When we checked in the receptionist at the desk didn’t seem to know her job. I reserved and paid for our room through Expedia. The receptionist asked for another credit card, we were charged twice however I called when we got back home, spoke to a lady who quickly looked into the issue and we were credited for the second charge. The room was clean but the sheets didn’t have the fresh feeling that clean sheets have.
