Great budget option.

Location is in Prague 1 near the dancing house. Within walking distance of old town square and wenceslas square . Also close to the metro so was very ideal.

Facilities were good, no issues when checking in or out.
Price was also very cheap.

No complaints. Would consider staying here again the next time I go to Prague.

El hotel tiene buena localización, pero la estadia fue horrible. Nos cambiaron de cuarto varias veces. La primera noche la habitación holia a humedad, holor a cigarrillo y la cama parecia una piedra. La segunda habitacion que nos cambiaron al segundo dia comenzo a liquiear agua del techo y se mojo toda la cama. Por ultimo la tercera habitacion que nos pusieron, el baño no tenia cortinas ni siquiera el tubo para ponerlas, fue un completo desastre. Para lo que pagamos no vale la pena. La recepción esta solo hasta las 7pm y luego de eso el check in es por telefono con un codigo. En las fotos se ve el hotel moderno, pero no lo esta.

My stay at this hotel was awful. The shower water was ice-cold one night, making it unusable. When I reported this to reception, the staff rudely responded, “What do you want me to do about it?”—completely unprofessional and dismissive. To make matters worse, the hotel falsely advertises laundry services on Expedia and their website, even providing a “laundry bag” in the closet, but reception informed me they don’t offer this service. This misleading information and poor service made for a horrible experience. Avoid this place at all costs.

Poor service/conditions. No drinking water bottle in the room despite glass cups being in the room. No soap in the bathroom despite asking to get that sorted.
Door locker from inside broken, doesn’t closes.
Very very outdated furniture, needs a proper lift up.
I would never stay there again.

Bad; one outlet, leak in the ceiling if you kept the bathroom light on too long, beds are all single, no queen or king size. Front desk was not 24/7.
Good;quiet, walls kept me from hearing other rooms, internet was really good, didnt cut out playing games as much as other hotels but sometimes it would. Price was great for the stay

Not worth it.

You pay too much for what you get. Room is small and suffocate feeling. No sunlight or air. The main entrance smells from cigarettes. Some things did not worked in the room. No kettle or coffee machine in the rooms. I suggest to find a better place. Sorry. My experience. One good thing - always hot water in the shower.

This hotel had the smallest room I had ever seen in a hotel. Maintenance was sub-par. I was considering paying for breakfast at the hotel, but overheard some Germans complaining about the poor selection as well as the many flies in the breakfast room. All in all this hotel was very disappointing.

Absolutely the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at

Never ever stay in this hotel, cannot say anything good about it, we had to change our room due to lack of air con and we also couldn’t open the windows, so basically no fresh air. After we changed the room, the bed has been broken as well as soap dispensers and the cleaners have also thrown away my teeth retainer worth £240, because they thought it was trash :) Breakfast had old and hard bread as well as weird tasking cucumber and tomatoes. Never choose this hotel for your visit in Prague, will leave a bad taste of the city.

Very basic and dated hotel. Stayed for two nights. Had issues starting with the checkin. There was a mixup with bookings, which eventually was sorted out. We had booked a room with two twin beds, and were told that it was not possible ( issues with Expedia and hotel communication). Had to change one room as air conditioning was not working. Mattresses were very old and had to ask for a replacement mattress as there was a sharp piece of metal pointing up out of the merges. Air conditioner in the other rooms also not working and were told by the reception that multiple rooms have non- working air conditioning as the building is old. Ended up keeping the windows open, but was very noisy throughout the night from noise of cars and loud people in the street. There was water dripping from the ceiling in kids room which we did not even report to the hotel as we were tired. Would not recommend

Nice breakfast each morning. Room was basic, nice shower though. An impossibly frustrating to use TV. Spent ages trying to get it to work, or at least show something. Just kept going to the 'settings' screen, in Czech. I have never had any problem with foreign TV's but this one took the biscuit. So, I had no TV to watch in my basic room for 4 days. Nothing else in the room either, apart from a small fridge, ie no writing paper, no information about anything, just a glass and bottle opener.

Location was convenient except the taxi would only drop us at the corner and we had to walk half a block with all our luggage down a cobblestone street. The hotel had some additional local tax charges (about $20) but they said they wouldn't take a credit card. We arrived late and I didn't have any Turkish Lira. I got a little indignant and asked him why I can't use a credit card and he furrowed his brow, did some clickety clacking on the keyboard and then took my credit card begrudgingly. Our room was old. The carpet was old, the paint was old, the bed was on the hard, cheap side. The pillows were very flat. We couldn't adjust the heat above 22 c. The shower didn't have a curtain, which is the style in some European countries, but the spray wand sprayed water in every direction and every time we showered, the whole bathroom got soaked (including the towels, our clothes and the toilet paper which we learned to remove after the first time). The hotel was expensive too, about $170 per night. Not a good value at all.

Decent place in a great location! Room was fairly clean a few cobwebs etc but overall comfortable and a decent stay, breakfast had a strange selection but was great to be included in the price!

Only issue we had was a fairly long check in process which we felt we were judged as we had backpacks and didn’t appear like the regular hotel customers.
Also we were given 2 room keys, neither of which worked and was made to take the lift to the 5th floor 3 times before we were given replacements, whilst the receptionist sat at the desk and didn’t bother moving to help at all, one of which replacements also did not work! Otherwise, a nice place to stay for a few nights, Prague is a brilliant place!

I stayed for 2 nights at the beginning of August and it was very hot most days. The hotel's AC doesn't seem to work very well. As such, it was quite uncomfortable to be inside during the day all the way until late into the night. The facility is fine. The location is pretty good. The breakfast was sufficient. If not for the poor AC, I would have rate it higher.

Overall the hotel is nice, the location is good, close to the centre (walking distance). Parking is a bit of a problem, they have a parking space, but it's quite expensive. Breakfast quite OK for the budget, although again the price/night is not so cheap. The rooms could use some refurbishment, especially bathrooms.

Room was very quiet, bed was comfortable. Shower cubicle did not close so had to mop up water each time.
Breakfast was included which is always positive, good quantity but not much choice.
TV only worked one day out of 4, tried to fix it but to no avail. TV in bar not on but no one inbar.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights in October 2016. Initially we were given a
garret room on the 6th floor which only had 3 skylights and no blinds or curtains. It was also so narrow, that the room looked like a corridor. I asked for another room and to be fair, a twin room was found on a different floor which was perfectly okay. The best things about the hotel were it's location, being only a short walk to Wenceslas Square and the Old Town. The hotel staff were all lovely friendly people and anxious to help. The downside was there was no coffee or tea making facilities in the room, the temperature was stifling hot with no way, it seemed, to reduce it via the wall control, and there was no mirror in the room only the bathroom.

Perfect for a stag party. About 7 minute walk from the main square and only a few minutes from where the restaurant and bars start.

Carpet was a little dirty.

Room was nice enough but 1 room had a shower and the other had a bath with a shower attachment and no shower cover which was annoying.

Breakfast was ok but not great.

We stayed for 4 nights at June 2016, and we liked the quite place and the good location. The room was with a big comfortable bed. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good.
We expected a 4 stars Hotel, but really, it's not more than 3 stars for us.
Our room was a little dirty carpets. The tv was with small chioce of programs, The bathroom equipment is poor.
No coffe or tea in the room.

not the best location for tourists

No big complaints with this hotel.

It is really accessible from the tram - Stepanska stop. Check out the website to see how to get there. It's a decent walk to Wencelas square (maybe 10 mins) but further to the old town or Charles bridge. That was tiring after a while... walking home from that area seemed long.

Near a street corner with a nice small grocery store as well as a park. Go to the restaurant Al Tagliere which is on Jecna street nearby. Amazing food and great couple who runs it.

The room was average - awesome bathroom and nice closet space. TV could use more channels (English would be nice). Bed is a little on the uncomfortable side but not a huge deal.

One weird thing about this hotel is that the hallway lights are almost always off of or very dim and they don't usually come on when you're in the hallway. You can still see okay for the most part but it's a bit odd. Can be tricky in the stairwell.

Buffet breakfast is good - pastries and yogurt as well as some eggs and other things like salads and toast. Salads and vegetables are a bit weird but definitely enough there for a substantial breakfast. Gets a bit busy though as the room is small. The room gets very warm too. No need to get another breakfast after.

Probably wouldn't stay in this location again as it's a bit far from the tourist sights but if you're here for other reasons in the new town then would recommend.

Small room had a lot to offer!

I have read all of the reviews about the size of the room. Yes, it was a single room and it was small, however, I was never in my room! The neighborhood hood was very safe. It's a bit of a walk from the action of New Town, but I didn't mind the short jaunt. The bed was a not the best, but the bathroom was newly remodeled and very nice. The WiFi worked well. Those at the front desk were very friendly and assisted when it was needed. The hotel lounge was not opened each time I tried to go, so I cannot comment on that. The breakfast was a typical continental breakfast.

No Air Con & Poor service & double booked!

Prior to this visit I would give the CP 4 out of 5, this time it was different. All 4 of our rooms for a party had been double booked. The hotel blamed the booking agency hotels.com for the double booking error, but advised that they had arrange for us to stay in another 4 star hotel close by. The other Hotel was the Hotel Manes which was more like a 3 star as opposed to a 4 star. The staff weren't very helpful & the rooms and general hotel condition were of a lower standard & quality. The biggest problem however was the air con, or lack of in this case. We stayed for 4 nights 5/8/15 with the temps up to 37oC/99oF. When we complained the hotel advised that it wasn't much they could do and that everyone was in the same boat basically? The receptionist advised that rooms should be available back in the Crystal Palace on the following day, 6th Aug. We walked up to the Hotel CP only to find they had 1 room free? Again the hotel blamed the booking agency. They advised that they might have 4 rooms on the 7th so to call back and check. However, yet again the same issue the next day, only 1 room free? So basically we had to settle for a sub-standard hotel with no air con & temps up to 37oC. Our short break was totally ruined as we were only getting a few hours’ sleep each night due to the room temp, thus all of us exhausted each day. That was our 14th visit to Prague, but quite possibly our last. Thanks hotels.com, EA and both the Hotel Crystal & Manes for ruining our holiday.

This hotel is accessible to everything that you want to see in Prague. It's close to the train station too. The room itself was comfortable, but it needs some updating. The carpet was stained and the walls were in need of repainting. It was a great price, but the appearance needs to be addressed.

As stated, very good for getting around. It's near Karlovo Namesti so lots of trams and metro, also the 57 night tram (and possibly others).
I suppose the main complaint is there was no tea, coffee, etc provided and there was no safe or any place in the room to keep valuables in.
The tv didn't carry any English speaking channels (i thought BBC international news was a standard, maybe it's been shutdown). I got a single room and the bed was very narrow. These things aren't make or break to be fair but I'll probably opt for something else next time.

Great hotel

The front of house staff were lovely and even printed our boarding passes for us. The hotel is on a quiet side street close to Wenceslas Square. The location is particularly good if you are arriving by train. the old town is about a 20 minute walk away and there are trams close by. Breakfast was adequate and included in the price and the room was clean. My only complaint would be that our room was opposite the cleaners cupboard and we were woken at 8am every morning by the same cleaner shouting down the corridor to her colleagues, I did go out and ask her to keep it down and she literally ignored me. Very odd but I think this would be relevant only to our room.

The hotel had plenty of rooms that were vacant (as the sign at the reception suggested) but we weren't given a room until 2 pm even though we got there at 8:45 am. The breakfast was nice and the staff at the breakfast room were nice and attentive.

Position and staff good but hotel disappointing

This hotel is located in a good position and the staff were helpful. However, overall, the hotel was disappointing, especially considering its supposed 4 star rating. Firstly the room was small, quite dark and had stains on the carpet. There was no mirror in the bedroom and the kingsize bed had 2 separate duvets which did not have well fitting duvet covers on and were too small to fully cover you. Also the bathroom towels very often frayed and the shower/bath had no curtain or glass partitioning so the bathroom floor would completely flood.
My partner and I were also disappointed with the cleaning service. The cleaners on a couple of occasions just walked into the room without knocking, once whilst I was using the toilet which is positioned directly in front of the door. Also they did not once refill the coffee and tea facilities or take the dirty cups and replace them.
Another disappointment was the bar/lounge which was small and not somewhere you would particularly want to spend time have a drink or lounging.
On a more positive note, the reception staff were helpful and upon arrival there was a bottle of complimentary wine and a bowl of fruit left in the room. They also supply slippers and a dressing gown, although I did notice a stain on one of the dressing gowns. Lastly the breakfast was ok but not as much variety and quality produce as it appears in their advertised pictures.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. My room was comfortable, albeit smaller than other hotel rooms, but it was only me so I didn't mind. The bowl of fruit, wine, and coffee maker were delivered to my room shortly after check-in, to my surprise, but much appreciated. The hotel staff was helpful for the two questions I had. The breakfast was fine and the beautiful sunroom was clean and bright.

Good hotel well situated near all tourist sites.

Prague is a beautiful city, well worth visiting. Shame however there is no public transport from the airport to the centre of town. The transfer service we booked was perfect, so it did not matter too much. The hotel was tucked away in a side cobbled stone street. Staff could not have been more helpful : We wanted an other chair, we got it at once. They helped with the phone call to the cab company ..etc. They were all pleasant and spoke excellent English.

perfect for a romantic getaway!

Hotel is in a great location. Its about a 20 minute walk to charles bridge. Room was nice and clean, if a bit on the small side.

Very clean, easy to get to all sights

My stay was very good, especially for the price. It was very clean. I was easily able to walk everywhere that I needed to go. The staff was friendly. When I arrived my bags were brought to my room and the staff showed me some features of the room. The price was so good that I worried what it might be like, but I was pleasantly surprised. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel, Good location, near tram station

The hotel was nice and clean, near tram station which can connect you to several metro lines and close to the city center you can even walk if you feel like. The rooms are a bit small but not a big deal, bathroom clean and modern, the only thing is that the staff is a bit shy and not to friendly and some times they don't speak English if you need some information but other than that is perfect hotel for vacations. I would stay again there, good price.

Not so friendly hotel

We were not given a room with 1 bed as we had requested (not sure if it was because we are a same sex couple). We had to complain to get a one bed room.
The room was on the street, isolated. A \"tik tak\" rythmic noise was there every 1-2 minutes from upstairs.

shower curtain!

an otherwise perfectly acceptable hotel but the lack of a shower curtain was not impressive. every morning the bathroom was soaked and the towels ruined. this is not a great standard for a central prague.

Clean! Good location!

Stayed for one night. Hotel overall clean and service from staff was great. The carpet in my room could've used a little love as there were stains everywhere. The bathroom had not shower curtain so I was more conscientious trying not to splash water everywhere, but other than that I would recommend this hotel to others. Great price point!

Nice hotel in Prague

Great location , close to main square. Walking distance with luggage to main metro lines, breakfast was ok. Cleaniness of place great . Nice new bathrooms . Very good value.
