Ok… here the real scoop on this place:
Ladies - beware!! Do NOT stay here unless you are in a large group with friends. Never as a solo traveler. They don’t offer women only dorms- just mixed dorms
I stayed two nights. First night in an 8 person room was okay. Second night in a 6 person room was horrific. Yes… the rooms were clean. My issue is the safety for women.
At midnight, a man entered the room and took the top bunk above me. From 12:00- 3am , the man kept going in/out of the room, slamming doors and things. No one paid him any mind and just kept sleeping. Then the man came over to my bed, and shined a light straight into my eyes and kept standing there watching me. When I ignored him, he tried to pull back my privacy curtain and enter my bed. I complained ASAP to front desk.
They did switch my room keys out, and told me they checked the room and the man was no longer there . But I still felt very uncomfortable. They didn’t do enough - didn’t offer any perks to make up for it or comp the room. Or offer a new room entirely.

Manager told me to take my breakfast items that I had just got all to my room. She could not wait for 5 minutes and was extremely rude!! Very impolite staff!!

The hostel is also very far from the interesting parts of Prague. You cannot walk to anywhere interesting. Also, I stayed in a private room and there were not decent chair to work at the desk.

I advise *not* to stay in this place when visiting Prague.

The price range is very wide for one traveler to stay at this property. I was able only to get two nights at an acceptable price. Those two nights were a decent deal that I would repeat in the future, if available. No problems with the condition of the property or the quality of service. Location good. The kitchen in the common area with fridge, stove, and sink, dishes, silverware was helpful.

Cheap and fairly cheerful

I was really short of options after my initial place was completely unacceptable and had to find somewhere else for a good price. This place had decent reviews, and for what I paid I really can't complain. I had a 4 bed mixed dorm for 5 nights. The first bed/ socket I tried my adaptor didn't fit, so I moved to another bed which it did but didn't actually charge. I did mention it but it never got fixed. The breakfast was ok, wouldn't say it was worth the price, the handsoap was in the same room as the shower and not in the toilet which seemed a bit silly. There was a small leak but that did get fixed in fairness. There's quite a lot of additional deposits and charges for stuff, I'd personally rather just pay a bit extra and then get them or have access to them in a shared space maybe. I was unlucky with 1 roommate who was there for 2 nights and came back drunk both nights, throwing up in the toilet at 2am. However the staff were friendly and the place is pretty clean too, I would stay again if I needed to. I wanted to give 3.5 stars but you can't and I feel 4 is too generous. Location is good with frequent bus and trams

Cheap and cheerful!

Czech Inn was lovely. Friendly staff, lovely self contained apartment style accommodation. The kitchenette helped us keep costs down, there was plenty of space. The beds were very hard but we were so tired you didn’t really notice. The shower leaked but a house keeping style service cleared up what we couldn’t each day. We also got our towels replaced during our stay, which was brilliant. A lot of the dishes and utensils were dirty, which I’m not blaming on the Czech Inn. That was clearly a previous occupant of the room, but we didn’t mind washing stuff properly. They made it really easy in fact by providing washing up liquid and a tea towel. The breakfast buffet option they had was very basic but great for kids and was pretty inexpensive. Highly recommend overall for a cheap and cheerful base to explore Prague from. There’s a tram stop literally just outside and that gets you straight into the city within 10 mins.

Apartment building was a bit old on the inside as you can notice that the bathroom had a very distinctive old building smell. Not the nicest thing to encounter when you arrive into your apartment.

Bedroom doors tend to not open properly and the security door card pass didn’t work on the first attempt.

The place has bar downstairs which is good and very reasonable price of different drinks, also its staff were amazing .

The hostel is nice, shows some signs of age but otherwise a nice place to stay in Prague. It’s not in the middle of the city, so it’s fairly quiet but at the same time could take a while to get there. Staff are overall friendly - the bunch at reception were nice, but the housekeeping staff appeared a bit too serious and angry looking. Everyone in my room had an issue with their card opening our door, so must be something to do with either the cards or the reader on the door.

The Czech Inn hostel was the BEST imaginable option for my first time in Prague. I will absolutely be staying at the Czech Inn for my next visit to Prague. The on-premises bar was not open every night, but when it was open, I had a great time meeting fellow friendly travelers and it was lovely meeting friends in the lobby and café as well. It was a quiet, comfortable, and safe accommodation and I couldn't recommend it enough. I booked a single room though, just so you know! I did not have the dorm bed experience but lots of the friends I made did and had a good experience as well.

I really wnjoyed my time at this hostel. I felt my room was a good size the windows were big and the bed was comfortable. The shower was excellent and the space in the room was what I expected. I had 2 issues with my room however I was told that my room had AC i could not get it to work, luckily it wasnt too warm during my visit however, opening the windows allowed mosquitoes and bugs into my room which was annoying. 2nd, my TV didnt work which wasnt a huge deal but again, it should have worked. Otherwise the place is great the bar downstairs is terrific. I will definitely stay at this location again.

Liked: Friendly and helpful staff, 24/7. Our room with one queen bed and private bath was spacious and quiet. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean, with a large shower and modern fixtures. Food service on site is limited mainly to beverages and snacks. For full meals, there are a couple of small but excellent (and very reasonably priced) cafes within an easy 5- to 10-minute walk. Don't miss Crème de la Crème for delicious gelato! There are a couple of tiny convenience stores a minute away for groceries and other necessities. Access to Prague's excellent tram service is right across the street, getting to the center of Prague in 15 minutes. Grabovka Park is a 5-minute walk away, with a beautiful panoramic view of the city.
Things to note: The Czech Inn is both a hotel and a hostel. There were lots of young adults there during our visit, lending a lively and sociable vibe to the lobby, round the clock. There were no microwave or refrigerator in our room, or closet or chest of drawers, but there are open places to hang or stow clothes. The furniture was modern/urban/minimalist and a little uncomfortable. The location is an ordinary Prague neighborhood where regular people live and work, not a touristy environment, which we liked very much.

As soon as I walked in, I was welcomed with a smile. After checkin, everything was explained. Additional information provided about nearest ATM, bars, transport links etc... Free entertainment offer, free tour in the morning. The room was cosy, locker and phone charging locker available next to each bed. Check out by another person was smooth too. Definitely recommend.

Only one issue I’ve experienced so far. The bath does not have water that is very hot. This time of year that is fine but in the dead of winter it’d be cold!!! So management needs a larger water heater!!

Not a bad place overall. The room we were given was extremely hot but they did give us a fan. Temperature control didn’t seem to work. Would have been unbearable without it.
Fridge and kettle in a small double room. The area does not have much for restaurant selection and what they did have other than fast food was full!

Great hotel! Rooms are modern, comfortable and spacious and breakfast is lovely.
Just beware when following Google Maps to try to get to the hostel from the main train station. Rather than taking a bus or subway/tram combination, google told us to take a regional train to a minor old train station a 15 minute walk from the hotel, which wound up bringing us to the base of a massive staircase which we had to lug our suitcases up. It was downright awful. That’s not the hotel’s fault though, of course. I’d recommend the 135 bus and buying a transportation pass for your stay so you can take the subway into the city center. The nearest subway stop is about a ten minute walk from the hotel. There are also trams right outside the door of the hotel.

Very cute hostel. Included a bar area that was in the basement and i never heard any of the noise while in the rooms, which was awesome. Had some issues with their laundry machines, and they were fairly pricy as well (220 CK to wash and dry). Everyone had lots of trouble with keycards to get into rooms/elevators and them working only sometimes (used mag. Stripe)
The rooms were nice and spacious, each bed had an outlet. We had the extra large dorm and it had a sink in the room, which was nice cause you could grab water or brush your teeth without going to the main bathrooms.
The lockers need your own padlock, basically a big drawer under the bed. Not the most secure technology but someone would have to make a lot of noise to break the lock so it did the job.

Showers were pretty good for cleanliness. Big bathrooms, never had to wait for a toilet or a shower or a sink.
24 hour reception was very nice. The paid breakfast was good and nice it kept it quite late. Cost was comparable or cheaper than most breakfasts.

Overall i would definitely reccomend the czech inn (beyond the best pun for hostel names).

Perfect for when you're balling on a budget

This place was perfect if you're there to see the city and are just looking for a place to crash. It was also super affordable. I highly recommend this if you are traveling alone as well because there are also many people doing the same. I went there alone and stayed in a room with 12 others and I went out with 2 of them and I had so much fun! Also the front desk was super helpful and there is a bar downstairs and kitchen.

Fab hostel, great service!

My stay at The Czech Inn was fantastic. Great facilities, really clean and staff were really friendly and helpful. Team stop just across the road and you get given a map when you check in. Great bar with happy hour and nice communal kitchen. Would highly recommend!

Our first room had no working outlets and uncomfortable beds. They quickly changed us to another space — much better — and we really, really liked it. The mattresses are not terribly thick and could be replaced so be wary if you have a sensitive back.

That said, we would HIGHLY recommend the place for the location and the staff and their responsiveness.

Prague is very exciting city that never sleeps. With that said, if you are looking to spend time in a room, this is not for you. If you come here to experience all this city has to offer, this is a great and very reasonable place for your basics (SSS)! Do not expect a lot of privacy unless you are in the bathroom or a shower. Definately a place to meet and make new friends. Great for groups of friends. Mostly younger folks, but it's up to the individual's personality and how well can you adapt to something different for a moment. I recommend this place for the basics as the price is right. It is a decent hotel for cheap accommodations however, there was no air conditioning, which made for an uncomfortable stay. As well, the light in the bathroom is on sensor, and not a very sensitive sensor. More times than not, I would have to dance and wave my arms to get it to go on - annoying. And it often shut off while I was still in the bathroom - very annoying. But those are my only complaints!

It was such a nice hostel.

Everything was good but location.
It was a little bit far from downtown.
but all of staff were kind and The room and wash room were clean also.

great hostel, staff let it down

The private room was great - as good as a decent hotel. However, staff seem to lack enthusiasm and a few staff members really let the place down. Not all amenities in the room were working and when we were left without water one morning there was very little explanation or apology. One staff member just asked us what we expected him to do. Outside can be a bit noisy at night. Overall, clean and good value.

Great place, friendly staff

This is a great spot if you want to be in a nice place with friendly staff and lots of young fun people around you. You have the option of staying on floors that are hostel style or have your own room with private bathroom. The private rooms (I stayed there) are similar to a 3-4 star hotel, but you also get to meet & hangout with all the fun hostel people!

Highly recommend this place if you're traveling solo and/or if you're traveling with friends and want to meet more people.

This hostel has everything you can imagine. There is a bar downstairs and they conveniently serve breakfast downstairs for a fair price. I was in a 4 bedroom room and it was just fine. The rooms could definitely use a fan. Remember to bring a padlock with you to lock your stuff up. Also bring your own towel or you can rent one there. My only true complaint is the showers. They really looked like they needed a scrub with bleach and kind of smelled bad. This can be a concern in a hostel since so many people use them and in hot times (esp summer) bacteria grows. Just bring some flip flops. The location is good but not necessarily in the center. But it is easy to get to Old Town from here. Overall the staff and people staying there were really nice. This is a great place if you are traveling alone bc there are alot of planned activities--a free walking tour and pub crawl you can pay for. :)

Decent hostel, good conditions, far from subway

Nothing wrong with this place, staff is friendly and always ready to help you. Be ready to walk 12 minur\tus to the nearest Namnesti Miru subway statio. When I have lost my keycard they gave me a spare for free!
