This hotel is in an older part of town, extremely close to the Vyšehrad fortress. You can just walk up the hill to it. The fortress is definitely worth spending 5-6 hours. The hotel itself is quaint in an older building and is clean and a budget stay.

If you have a car, there is parking about 100 meters away for 10 euros a day.

There is a tram stop almost immediately outside of the hotel to get to the city center. There is also a nice pub adjacent.

In short, it is worth they stay. I wish parking was closer, but that is it.

As a hostel, it fit the bill. There is a tram stop right outside the property, however do not be misled on a map by the closeness of the metro station. It is on a bridge literally 50 to 60 meters or so above the surrounding area. So, it is a difficult walk. The city center is about 20 minutes by foot. Also, parking is about 50 meters away. Other than that, everything was fine.

Stay somewhere else- anywhere else

This place is a total dive. We were a group of 4 friends who stayed in several properties on our European holiday and this one was by far the worst. From the second we walked in the door we knew it was going to be bad. Check in took over 30 mins as he tried to tell us we hadn't paid and we would need to pay again even though we had told him we prepaid. Only after showing proof of payment from hotels.com and providing proof from my bank which showed payment did he finally admit it was prepaid. He then tried to explain the reason for wanting us to pay again was that he thought our phone number was Russian and (apparently) Russians are known for not paying. We are a group of Canadian and UK visitors. They stuck us in the attic where we had to climb about 200 steps with all our luggage. Breakfast is dire - it is served in a humid dungeon of a basement where the only staff member is a miserable old woman with unbelievable BO who just stares you down while you eat. The second morning we had to leave breakfast early as the heat and stench was so bad we couldn't bare it any longer. We had to share utensils as there were no more clean ones, and the breakfast consisted of some hot dog type buns, yogurt and mouldy oranges (see photo) I'm not sure how this place passed health inspections. The only good thing about this place is its location to the tram stop.

Great budget hotel

This is a great budget hotel. The one and only downside is that you are about 20-30 minutes from the Stockholm city center by public transportation. Everything else about it is great and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I would recommend Hotel Dialog to anyone looking for a nice, reasonably priced place to stay in Stockholm.

Just what I needed

Made this trip to look for a musical instrument (which I found, thankfully, in the 11th hour). All I needed was somewhere affordable, basic and conveniently located. I got all three at Beta Pension. I had my own room (tho with 4 bunks total). Free wifi, clean bathroom and shower on the same floor. The tram lets off virtually right in front of the building. There's a friendly bar in the same building on the ground floor. Czech beer is cheaper than water, and probably better for you too. (Warning to whiny non-smokers: it is like a pub should be and allows patrons to light up). Back at the hostel, there's a continental breakfast every morning in the basement from 8 til 10 in the morning (which I did not avail myself to till my last day). All told, a very positive experience; it's not the Waldorf, but I was very happy with the price I paid and what I received in turn.

I read reviews before I booked this hotel. Basically nothing more to add. Hotel is not in the city center. Tram 18 has stop has in front Beta and takes you to the city center. But it is not as frequent as other lines.
Breakfast is really OK ( I don't don't know why people complain about that). Location of hotel is bad regarding noise coming from railway (from the back), Metro (from the top) and trams (from the front). For weekend stay as it was mine stay it is OK. I would come again.

Overall it was a pretty nice hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They said parking was available for a surcharge, but it was a bit far off. Like 4 blocks. The site said that they had a lock box that you could put your valuables in, but they didn't. The tram stop was right outside, but out of the 3 trams, only one took you to the major sites, and you had to wait a while longer before that one came around. Not a lot longer, around 15 min, but the other ones came around every 4 or 5. Other than those two small things, it was a pleasant stay.

Beta Hostel in Prague. Direct tram to city centre

We found good value basic accommodation at Beta, although it is noisy, with tram and road to front, trains to rear, and metro in a concrete viaduct above!
There is a cheerful young persons bar next door which serves good and cheap czech beer, and the area is friendly and slightly run down.
The nearest metro station, Vysehrad on line C to Haje, is in the viaduct above the hostel, and so it is a steep walk down the hill. Or trams 18, 24, 53, 55 travel from the street to city centre - about 3 kms

Advantage: Good Price, Good condition of hardware, wooden floor through, Convenient Location close to shops and street car, good breakfast, very helpful staff, very good guides selection package for practical info.
Disadvantage: A little bit noise at night when metro C line passing the bridge above the roof, thin blanket, cold at night, hair on the floor, no lift for luggage.

Budget/Hostel - Clean, Not convenient but cheap.

Whilst my room was clean, all three mattresses/beds in the room that I booked (all to myself) were lumpy and uncomfortable. Fortunately I was tired and would sleep well regardless. I was pleasantly surprised about the bathroom facilities, I would have slept in here if I could. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good if you want cheap accomodation, especially if travelling in a good or want to meet other travellers. Although there is a tram and train stop nearby, it was not the most convenient location to stay in. The surrounding area didn't look that friendly either.
Not a overall terrible experience but I would look elsewhere before staying here.

This is a great hostel! It's typical, rooms are small and there really isn't much in them other than beds a dresser and a table, but the people who work there are SO NICE! They were very helpful and respectful. They all spoke English. The hostel is a little ways from like downtown and stuff but everywhere is very asseciable from this hostel by tram! We had no problems getting anywhere! They clean your room daily and they also clean the bathroom and showers daily as well. It was very clean and the service was great! There is also a complimentary breakfast which is pretty good if you get there right when it opens. They also keep your key for you when you go out and when you come back in you just them them your room number. Another thing I liked a lot is that they remembered who we were! So I wasn't worried about them giving my room key to some stranger! I defintely recommed staying here!

Central Prague was easy to reach (15 mins with tram, 30 mins by foot)
Nice restaurants in the neighbourhood

Negatives:

Very thin walls, you can hear other guests very well
The radiator is making weird noises all day, even when it's off. And you can hear this from other rooms as well due to the walls
If you want fresh towels you need to ask for it instead of just getting new ones when the room is cleaned. We got 1 set of fresh towels without having to ask in our 8 day stay..
No shampoo is provided

Sono stato alla pensione beta molto bene insieme una mia carissima amica per visitare Praga. Mi è stato riservato un alloggio con più letti e in più un bagno all'esterno della camera totalmente privato e molto pulito.Sono molto felice di essere stato in questa pensione e vi ritornerò per un mio prossimo viaggio nella città di Praga. Col tram 18 e altri tram che girano per la città è facile arrivare proprio davanti la pensione in qualsiasi ora del giorno della notte in quanto la sua ottima posizione ci permette di rientrare a casa anche di sera senza problemi. Non hanno gradito la mia prenotazione online e quindi mi hanno fatto pagare in contanti. La mia prenotazione arrivava da un sito americano da noi sconosciuto. A voi consiglio di soggiornare presso questo hotel prenotando prima perché loro sono molto gentili con voi e vi danno la possibilità di lasciare le bibite nel frigo alla reception. Sono stati molto gentili ad assistermi in ogni mia richiesta tra cui un coltello da tenere in camera per affettare un dolce che avevo comprato.

Perfekt für einen günstigen Aufenthalt ohne Extras

Das Hotel ist zentral gelegen und die Gegend ist sehr laut, vor allem der Verkehr. Wenn Sie also nicht durch den Stadtlärm schlafen können, dann ist dies nicht der richtige Ort für Sie. Es liegt in der Nähe aller Verkehrsmittel, und mit einem 24-Stunden-Pass ist es einfach, überall hinzukommen. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Für einen preiswerten Aufenthalt ohne Extras ist dieses Hotel sehr zu empfehlen.

Sólo si no hay otra cosa.

Por lo que cuesta no se puede pedir más.Me dieron una habitación con retrete particular pero con ducha colectiva.La dueña,super amable.Recomiendo el tranvía para ir y venir porque el metro está en lo alto de una colina y es incómodo llegar.Pocos servicios alrededor pero es que es barata. y encima incluye el desayuno.Señal wifi aceptable.

Nice hotel with friendly people. It is clean and the breakfast more than you expect for the price. The only minus is her little bit “hard” bed and the noise of the trains. In our case the temperature in Prague was high so you have to keep the windows open.

Prisvärt boende, rent och säkert

Vi bodde i rum med eget badrum. Toalett och dusch var väldigt fräsch och rummen var rena och avskalade. Det är ett basic hotell men det är också väldigt prisvärt i förhållande till vad du betalar. Bra kaffe till frukost och lite olika saker att välja på. Entrén är inte så inbjudande och frukostrummet är ganska deppigt men i övrigt bra överlag!

Dobrý den, poměr cena/výkon doporučuji. Personál se k nám choval hezky a starostlivě. Jediný s čím jsem měla problém, je s vaší nabídkou, kdy jste v popisu pokoje měli koupelnu a wc, s čím jsme počítali a nebylo. Chyba vaše, ne hotelu. Jinak společná koupelna i wc, vše čisté, bez problému. Pokoje útulné, čísté, pravidelný úklid.

値段相応。

部屋のドアがただのベニヤ板のようなものでできており、中や外の光がダダ漏れでした。またドアのすぐそばにベッドがあるので、誰か人が外にいると怖かったです。ただ慣れの問題で、2、3日すると慣れました。
スタッフの方は良い方ばかりで、エレベーターがないからと、30kgはするスーツケースを4階まで運んでくださいました。またチェックアウト後の荷物預かりもすんなりしてくださりました。
ちなみにホテルはトラムの「Svatoplucova」駅の近くです。

Čistý pokoj, skromě zařízený, ideální pro jednodenní výlety. Ideální pro toho, kdo se nehodlá v pokoji zdržovar přes den a tráví čas spíše ve městě. Přímo u hotelu je tramvajová zastávka odkud se dá dostat snadno do centra.

Bra lågbudgetalternativ som gav mer än väntat!

Tunnelbanan (Vishera) till hotellet och det gick utmärkt, men visste då inte att spårvagnen (24)från centrum stannade precis utanför. Är lite långt att gå till centrum och inte mycket intressant att se på vägen. Räkna med att använda antingen spårvagn eller tunnelbana för att ta sig fram och tillbaka. Hotellet ligger alldeles intill spårvagnen och man kan höra den från rummet, men inget som störde mig. Hade rum 32 på översta våningen. Tågen kör alldeles bakom hotellet men heller inget som störde så mycket. Ovanför hotellet går en viadukt där bilar kör, men det såg jag bara och hörde inget av det på rummet. Duscharna som fanns i korridoren var fräscha, rena och hela. Även de gemensamma toaletterna var rena, saknade inget men var små. Trevliga människor som delade ut nyckeln och som fanns på plats hela dygnet. Området låg utanför men kändes inte otryggt. Mest positivt var frukosten. Priset var så lågt att jag förväntade mig det mest basala men det fanns både nykokta ägg, frukt, grönt, färskt bröd och yoghurt med flyttande honung. Mitt rum var avsett för fyra personer (fyra sängar i rummet) men jag hade betalt som enkelrum. Var stort och rymligt med högt till taket och takfönster. Dock inte med någon stor utsikt, men fönstren var inte i en höjd att man såg ut om man inte stod på något. Enda nackdelen för den som inte är så rörlig är att det inte finns någon hiss och att det innebär att man får gå i ganska smala trappor för att ta sig till rummet eller till frukosten i källaren.

Levné ubytování s dostupnou dopravou do centra

Měli jsme miniaturní pokoj, zařízený v minimalistickém stylu. Bylo to jen na přespání. Všechno vybavení pokoje bylo zánovní, udržované a čisté.
Snídaně byla velmi prostá a skromná.
Personál velmi ochotný, přátelský a vstřícný.
Ubytování bylo ve skutečnosti mnohem lepší, než by odpovídalo ceně.

Bra hotell för bra pris väldigt nöjd med rummet då vi fick egen toa o dusch. Dock var det riktigt varmt när vi var där så AC hade varit skönt, hade en fläkt bara. Bra frukost och nära till hållplats för spårvagnen.

Dobrý hotel za dobrou cenu

Zůčastnil jsem se setkání maturantů po 51. letech, takže jsem v hotelu pouze přespával. Hotel má velmi dobrou polohu- za několik minut lze dosáhnou centra města. Ale i okolí hotelu stojí za shlédnutí (pevnost Vyšehrad). Cestu tramvají lze přerušit a prohlédnout si botanickou zahradu, nebo výstavu skalniček ve Faustově domě.
Každému doporučuji.(Moje hodnocení se vztahuje na poměr cena/kvalita.)

πολυ καλη επιλογη!!

Το δωμάτιο ηταν φυσιολογικό για κάποιον που πήγε στην Πράγα για να δει την πόλη και να μην μείνει στο ξενοδοχείο. Είχε παντα ζεστό νερό, θερμανση και καλό πρωινό! Χαμηλή τιμή και στα 20 μετρα υπάρχει τραμ που παει στο κεντρο της πολης!

freundliche Pension. 3-stöckig, leider kein Aufzug vorhanden. Das Gemeinschaft ist mit mehreren Gästen zu teilen mit 2 Abteilungen für Frauen (inkl. Dusche) und 1 Abteilung für Männer (inkl. Badewanne). Jedoch großflächig und sauber.

Småt og spartansk

3 senge klemt ind på et forvejen lille dobbeltværelse, vi skulle kun bo 2 der. Badeværelset MEGET lille, man skulle kante sig ind, for at kunne lukke døren. Ingen faciliteter (dvs. tv, køleskab, plads til bagage), ingen elevator. Et bestilt rygerværelse til anden person i vores selskab, fandtes ikke.
Virkelig dårligt sted, hvis man bare er en smule dårligt til bens.
Morgenmad indtages i kælderen, ingen vinduer...

Morgenmaden var til gengæld okay, omend man skulle koge sine egne æg :-)
Der var rent og pænt. Rengøring af værelserne var osse fin, vi fik dog ikke rene håndklæder de 4 dage, som vi var der.
Personalet var smilende og yderst hjælpsomme.

Vi vil nok finde et andet hotel næste gang.

Nettes Hotel mit nahen Tram, Ubahn Station

Sehr nettes umd informiertes Personal. Zimmer einfach aber schon eingerichtet, alles immer top sauber und ein sehr schönes eigenes bad. Frühstück war reichlich und für den Preis absolut in Ordnung. Hotel liegt in einem Tal, daher am besten mit Tram anreisen. .. bei Ubahn anreise muss man einen berg mit einigen stufen runter gehen.

Nachteil war: kein aufzug! Und zum teil sehr hellhörig
