This hotel really falls between \"ok\" and \"good.\" The staff were fantastic -- helpful, friendly and polite. They are all doing an excellent job.

It is not there fault that some of the rooms have not been rennovated in decades. Mine had stained carpet - just from age and abuse, but still. The hotel's AC was completely shut off for winter, meaning there was no air circulation and the room was incredibly stuffy.

The staff did bring a fan for me and that, along with leaving the window open, helped a lot. However, my room was near to the entrance so an open window also meant putting up with disgusting cigarette smoke from guests smoking just outside of the lobby.

But, look, it's 2025. HVAC should work year round. The rooms get warmed up from showering, blow dryers, and from the sun shinning in.

The location was good -- lovely to walk to the nearby fortress and nice places to eat. Ubers are pretty cheap in Prague so it was easy to get in and out of the city center, but good to remember that traffic can be heavy at rush hour -- just plan around it.

Great location for Prague Congress Centre

A very pleasant, welcoming and hotel. One lift out of order (middle of 3 with barricade round), so couldn't actually see on first looking there was more than one lift. They were independent so either had to choose one or push both which probably isn't very energy efficient.
Breakfast was really good, with plenty of options. However, it would have been useful if there was a quick option if you didn't have much time as it was expensive otherwise. The little cafe was great as an alternative, however, they didn't open till 8am.
There wasn't a room service menu in the bedroom and couldn't find one on line. Was told that there should have been one in the room. Not a big deal as I came down and ordered at the bar and then took it up myself on a tray. Good selection and my risotto was tasty!
I didn't have a chance to look round the local area but didn't get the impression there's much round there, so ideally you want to get onto the Metro and go into the city. Didn't do that this time, but the stop is close and the line efficient.
Comfy bed, handy to have your own iron and ironing board, air con for comfort although windows open which I prefer.

Great hotel. Recently refurbished. Our room was really big and airy. Located close to city centre and good transport link. Housekeeping do really good job, the room was spotless. There is no housekeeping during the stay automatically due to current situation, but if you ask, they do so.

very convenient location to the congress centre, however...

When I came into the room the radiator was on and the air con was on. The room was very hot because the air con was loud but ineffective. There was no way to turn the radiator off. I slept very badly because of the heat of the radiator and noise of the air con.

The room is fine, but the bathroom needs a serious update. The hairdryer is awful, the whole bathroom floods when you take a shower, the sink was cracked and needed replacing.

The bed was fairly comfortable. I don't like two single duvets instead of a double, or that it is just two single beds pushed together with a single sheet to make it appear a double.

Prague is an excellent place to be, Holiday Inn Prague Congress Center is just next to congress center, excellent for business users, there is a metro station nearby, around 5 to 7 minutes walk from the hotel. Our stay was great, staff had been very helpful. Provided us details as to how to move around in the city and we were able to buy metro tickets directly from the reception. They even helped us in finding the transportation for our ongoing journey to Munich. Overall we had a great time in Prague and comfortable stay at Holiday Inn.

The hotel is very nice and located just by a metro station (The public transportation system in Prague is excellent). The breakfast was very good although a bit pricey (19 euros). What impressed me the most about the hotel is that I forgot a plastic bag with two bottles of wine and medicines and when I returned to the hotel about one week later the bag was there! Honest people indeed.

Had some prescription sleeping pills come up missing. Also the management was not fit to run a carnival sideshow. Worst of all was the disgusting 2nd hand smoke you breath everytime you walk in or out of this hotel. What can you expect when they put an ashtray on both sides of the door. One was two feet away and the other was 15 feet away from the entrance. If your a non smoker avoid this place like the plague. Food was ok and restaurant staff was very nice and it's certainly not the priciest place in town.

Rooms air did not arrive run correctly. Just enough air so I wouldn’t get pissed off.

Subway was around the corner and it got you every over Prague - caste, charles bridge, mall, old town.

Don't stay at holiday inn Prague

It was a bad experience. I haven't given the promised room and staff was discourteous. Will never recommend such place to any. And Expedia is equally responsible as I got booking through them. I complained to Expedia and holiday inn but no remedy as yet.

When everyone is good but the manager...

The manager of this hotel must have made a standing order not to help me when I wanted to check out. I had to carry 7 bags downstairs to check out, and even though there were 5 employees doing next to nothing, no one would lift a finger to assist me. This is in marked contrast to when I checked in, where the staff found me a room a bell man stored all my stuff with no guarantee.

Excellent hotel in very good location in Prague. Easy to find if driving. Superb breakfast. Much more luxurious than American Holiday Inns. Rack rate is 200+ Euros and if you walk up, they charge you that rate so definitely to your advantage to book through Hotels.com. Very comfortable room near metro station so easy to access the sights.

The motel was mediocre at best! The room was hot, the breakfast was cold. Seems to attract a really rude clientelle! I know that's not the fault of the hotel, but none the less. We have stayed in three or four other hotels in Prague and this is the one we will likely not re-visit! The desk staff was were friendly, but the resturant staff was not. Not sure how the eggs were ALWAYS cold, but they were. Room was stuffy...even hot, no matter how we adjusted the AC.

Overall the hotel was good, it was a little far from Prague centre but it is good if you want to escape the busy tourist centre. The food in the hotel is fantastic and staff are extremely helpful.
The downside for me was having a room with two single beds. The beds are quite small so not ideal for tall people.

Near conference centre; facilities & staff mixed

Conveniently next to congress centre, but not in centre of Prague. About 5 minutes walk from Metro and some nearby trams - takes perhaps 15-20 minutes into Old Town/ Lesser Town. Receptionist on arrival was helpful and professional. Most other reception staff we dealt with were much less so, and some almost unhelpful. Bathroom the smallest ever! Toilet strangely high so could not reach the ground. Only bathroom amenities were one soap dispenser by the basin, and one combined shampoo/body wash dispenser on the wall by the shower. Quiet hotel. Ate in restaurant - food very mediocre, service terrible. Spaghetti with tiger prawns had ONE prawn. Served in conservatory which was a little cool for comfort, but no alternative seating offered. Would not recommend eating there. Described in conference details as 4* hotel but definitely below that standard in our experience. Have indicated \"would not recommend\" to a friend, unless all you are there for is to attend a conference at the congress centre for one or two nights. There is also the nearby Corinthia hotel as an alternative close to conference centre.

Very disappointed as Aircon was not working even after complained, reception staff had never smiled to me and phone inside the room was not working after complained 3 times. I also saw a guest made a long complain in the reception. Staff were just not addressing his points.

Clean and modern hotel

Even though the hotel is not located next to the tourist sites, it' just a a few minutes walk to the metro station and 2 stops to the Museum. The hotel is much better decorated and furnished than those Holiday Inns in the US. Food is good and reasonably priced. Room is spacious and clean. Very friendly staff.

Clean, roomy and good location

There was plenty of room for our family of 6. We had 3 connecting rooms, which was perfect! We enjoyed the location, near the metro, we were able to get into downtown Prague easily. Parking is a challenge in Prague, so having a parking garage was wonderful. The staff was gracious and helpful. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel was very nice and the staff friendly. The breakfast was delicious with lots of choices. One negative was that the house cleaning entered our room to clean it even though this was not requested.
The hotel is 5 minutes walk from the Metro station which takes you to the attractions in two stations = 5 minutes. Also, it is located 10 minutes walk from the Vysehrad Castle which is very pretty.

Hotel good but terrible bed!

The hotel was easy to find and close to metro. The parking garage was a nice bonus. When checking in, we were given the wrong room (2 single beds for my husband and I) but the hotel gave us a different room. The beds were terribly hard and uncomfortable. I know that European beds seem to be more uncomfortable than the ones in the US however this is one of the WORST beds that I have every slept in. The breakfast was good (but always crowded) and the restaurant for lunch was delicious. All in all, good hotel with minor issues.

A typical modern chain hotel. Staff were welcoming and helpful. A deposit was subtracted from our card upon check in, this is something we have not encountered ever before. Room was clean, but since we had an extra bed for our child a bit too small for three.Room's safe was mended with duck tape, so was the TV remote which was initially not working, staff fixed issue promptly changing batteries. Bathroom sink was cracked right through the middle but not leaking, all this left a negative impression. Hotel is a bit tricky to get to by car, difficult to park the car at the surrounding area. A good walk is needed to reach the metro.

This hotel was both good and bad. The good: extremely close to the metro station, and it's a short ride to most of the big tourist attractions. The lobby was nice, clean, well decorated and spacious. The bad: the hotel staff is not helpful or friendly. I understand cultural differences, but the hospitality industry is usually an exception. They were most certainly not helpful or polite. The hotel is a bit deceptive because the lobby is nice and modern, but the rooms themselves are outdated and small. Prague is a beautiful city - I would return, but to a different hotel.

Overall, the hotel was convenient to my conference and a better value than the official conference hotel. My floor was non-smoking However, the hotel allowed smoking in the lobby and public areas. Free wifi was unreliable in the room but the lobby was too smoky to use wifi there. Staff did not seem experienced with U.S. business travelers but tried to be helpful. Two subway stops from city center.

The hotel was ok and excellent proximity to the tube so you can be in the city in a few minutes.
Breakfast was ordinary and luke warm where it should have been hot. The coffee machine produced disgusting coffee, and the waiter in the evening just looked as though he really didn't want to be there... so eat out... there are excellent restaurants and service in Prague itself.
The hotels.com website listed this hotel as having a pool and I should have checked on the hotels website first because they don't have one. There is a facility in a health club across the road, for an additional cost, but it is very small.
I would not have stayed here at all if I had known about the pool, but fortunately we had a great time in Prague despite this.

I needed to attend a training in the area, and found Holiday Inn to be conveniently located just behind the Prague Congress Centre.
Plese note that this is at Vysehrad metro station, not Pankrac, as the map shows here.
The rooms have been renovated recently, friendly staff, enjoyed my stay here.

If you are in Prague choose this hotel.

The hotel location is ideal for business travelers since it is located within access to metro for other venues of interest within the city. Regulations on Metro must be informed to users especially first time traveler since were fined for not having validated the ticket through the machine( it was not realized for the first time ). A bad experience with the unfriendly ticket controller .

Even with it being 2 metro stops from the centre the Holiday Inn Prague Congress Centre was a good hotel and under a minute walk from Vysehrad metro station.
