Breakfast was probably the best thing about this hotel. Very close to transit which was nice.

But….It was so noisy on our floor. Doors slamming shut (they do not close nicely), VERY noisy neighbours. We could hear what sounded like furniture being pushed around above us. The food is so cheap in Prague but unfortunately we got taken at the lounge. Crappy food and drinks for $200 Canadian!!! Most of our meals at restaurants were around $45. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AT THE LOUNGE!!!

Also found a lot of places do not speak English around this area as it is away from the touristy spots.

I booked a junior suite - and not even a free bottle of water was included. The room is very noisy, I can hear the neighbors when switching on the lights. And the light sensor in the bathroom was working in reverse - not switching on when someone is in the bathroom, and switching on for no reason when I was in bed, with the result of waking me up. On the other hand, the room was quite clean and spacious.

Overall everything was good, love that there was a gym on site. The closeness to transport was a plus as it is near to most of the attractions and sites in prague making our trip worth while. Daily room service was great which gives a clean feel when returning from a long day outdoors. I would definitely recommend the accessories with the room such as television (however more english channels needed),mini cooler, hair dryer, kettle and cupboard with hangers and safe to lock away items are all needed to make our stay greater. Thanks for having us 🙂

Staff were friendly and helpful. The wide variety of buffet options at breakfast and evening meal were very tasty. The air con was very welcome as it was a hot week in Prague. Reception gave us a free map of the city centre with a metro map on the back which was very useful. The leaflets and city map in the reception area helped us plan our tours. Overall very pleased with the hotel.

The room was quite clean and the hotel looks really nice. Reception was nice. The lift worked for all 14 floors. Gym was good however only included leg workouts. Food was very dry and limited options most nights, only water was available at dinner service, to probably make it slide down easier or to wash away the taste of the dry food. Glasses smelt horrible and the locks on the doors didn’t work. Please tune in to Channel 8 on the TV, and phone in the wrong answers, you’ll love the results.

Don’t try the lemon water unless you love licking your candles at home, fridge was on the constant verge of warming up our room whilst the AC produced less wind than my deceased nan. Would recommend listening to TLYA’s “make me sway” or Ariana Grande when showering, truly a euphoric experience.

Great breakfast - Bad dinner

The staff at the hotel were amazing - friendly and helpful - both the barman and the lady at reception. We were slightly disappointed that upon arrival the room allocated to us did not have a bath (Junior Suite) as requested via email. The lady at reception changed the room for us when we asked if the room had a bath. We then went all the way up to the room to discover that it only had a shower. So back down we went and had to have the room changed again - She kindly gave us a voucher for a free drink at the bath. I feel that our email request was simply ignored.
The only other negative would like to mention was dinner - my husband had the burger and I had the goulash - both big NOs - the burger comes with a black bun (we are all for trying new things, but it should be mentioned on the menu) - it did not look good and it certainly did not taste nice either. I have no idea what \"meat\" was used for my goulash but it tasted like plastic -the dumplings were not good at all - I left my entire plate. The deserts were stale and also not tast.
On the flip side - breakfast was divine, well prepared, fresh and very yummy. Overall we would stay again - but just have dinner somewhere else :-)

While a few miles from town center, we found it easy to park at the Palladium parking in town and save money by staying at this very nice, clean, nearby hotel. Cold a/c in room was great. Good experience.

It's a 3-star motel level
.
Never book a room with a breakfast nor half board! Dinner was horribly lacking, and if you want to order extra drinks, you should go to another restaurant in the hotel. You can drink there only the tab water.

The reception didn't give accurate information, and they prepared a room of a type that I had not reserved, so I went up and down three times between the room and the reception, but I didn't hear a word of apology.

Nice clean budget hotel but one, big but…
This is how the toilet and bathtub are exist and hitgthr whole bathroom appear in the hotel room. There is no door to the bathroom and when your need to enter the bathtub our opponent in the room can see you reflection via mirrors in the cloakroom. If you live together for many years this is ok, but when you are new to each other it’s kind of strange to have no door to the bathroom. Other was good

The hotel overall is very nice, and with cheap and always available transportation to the city center, the location is great as well. There is a restaurant and a bar both in the lobby, as well as several choices within walking distance.

The only issue we had is that the air conditioning didn't function. Our room got a little too warm at times. There is a sticker on the window asking to keep it closed so the A/C functions correctly, which we found ironic because it didn't work at all.

Overall, a good experience. The next time we go to Prague, we will definitely consider this hotel again.

Modern and functional with high end amenities. Very conveniently located 5 minutes away from the C metro stop. Getting to the hotel from the airport was very easy with public transportation but took about 50 minutes with the change between the bus and metro. Going downtown with the metro was also quick and convenient.

The neighborhood is mostly residential but also has many nice restaurants and pubs within a two block radius from the hotel.

The staff are very professional and curteous and go above and beyond to help and make your stay smooth and enjoyable.

The property was refurbished in 2016 and has a modern vibe and feels well looked after. The only slight negative is that the soundproofing of the rooms isn't great and you can hear a bit of road noise.

Overall this was a comfortable and enjoyable place to stay for a visit to Prague.

The Hotel is modern and clean, the rooms are nice although the glass cubicle toilet and shower are not very practical. The breakfast is awful, as is the restaurant which offers a small buffet. The prices are extremely high for drinks and even buying a bottle of water is 3 times the price for the same bottle at the Petrol station next door. The restaurant and bar lack any character and feel like a school dinner hall.

If you stay at this hotel is make sure you understand the metro and buses, as taxi's get pricey.

Staff were friendly, and the room was nice.

However, please be aware about the room mini bar. There was a giant bottle of water on the side, Which we didn't open and as it was open they tried to say we used it. However this was resolved quickly

The room was okay, cleaning service was great. The elevators have to be a known problem, since there were only 3 tiny ones that were always packed... I found myself going 8 flights of stairs a few times just because I couldn't find an elevator to go on.

The reception was OK - I found myself struggling to get room service and ended up waiting 2 hours after going back and forth between the restaurant and reception! After checking out, I realized I got charged multiple times on the bill as well. One staff member offered to change rooms generously, but besides that I can't say much else...

Overall okay. Although, I booked hotel two months prior to check-in, and was initially placed in a room near an elevator. I was also put into a room in the middle of a group of college kids traveling on a choir tour. When I requested a room change, staff was VERY reluctant to change my room. They moved me 4 doors away from the elevator. Luckily the kids were well behaved. Not impressed with check-in ~ period. Restaurant/Bar staff were excellent. Cleaning staff used the guest elevators during check-out hours, making unaccessible for guests to use them. Rooms were very clean and respectable.

Was there during week after Easter and it was in the 60s. With the direct sun hitting the room it was very warm. The window only opens a bit and doesn't cool the room. I asked about AC and the staff said it doesn't run until summer. The king beds aren't really king either, but two singles. Which means they split apart if you lay in the middle. I won't come back here.

I enjoyed my stay in this hotel it was conveniently located to where I was spending my time. The bed was really comfortable and overall well equipped. i stayed in a junior suite but the side room is pretty pointless and i did not use it once.

There was a minor issue with breakfast (as a guest in such rooms you should be able to use the restaurant on the 1st floor) I was refused entry as you are supposed to request it in advance 'apparently' but management sorted that out upon my request, it's just quieter and less busy than main breakfast area.

I would recommend this place if staying in this district. I also ate one evening in the B lounge and the food was very good (club sandwich).

The room was a superior room and very small. The air conditioning had to be turned on down stairs and really did not work. The window was frosted so we could not see out because there was a cemetery near by but the frosted window gave us claustrophobia due to feeling enclosed. The cemetery did not matter. Also the refrigerator in the room was hot and could not be fixed and it was dirty. The room cleaning was not very thorough. The coffee was not replaced, a spoon fell on the floor and the house cleaning did not see it. The water in the coffee maker was not emptied. We travel a lot and the standard here for the money was not met. The food in the restaurant was not that good and the breakfast that was part of the superior room which was 10 Euros extra was rather poor.

Clean and comfy at affordable price

I was there for 3 nights for a business meeting. Although the hotel is not in the city centre, it is only 5 minute walk to Budějovická metro station. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is amazing! However, for the third day breakfast, the staff was trying to send me to a different place for breakfast, quoting I was not an executive guest so I cannot have my breakfast in the 'executive' breakfast room, despite I have been having my breakfast in the same 'executive' breakfast room for the past 2 mornings and my room was on the 12th floor which is an executive floor. After some brief argument, the staff gave up and all is good.

The hotel is nice. The only thing is that the front desk staff is not really willing to offer alternatives or think Out of the box. I arrive at 6am and i told them that my reservation was supposed to be ready at 1pm but I was willing to pay extra for getting a room in that moment to sleep a few hours. The answer was no and I needed to wait until 1pm for my room. And to be honest, the hotel is big - I am pretty sure that not all the rooms were occupied.

Barcelo praha hotel was absolutely amazing to stay at. The rooms were big, very comfortable and showers were excellent. Very friendly staff across the entire hotel. Spotless rooms and cleaned whatever the time of day you left the room, you come back to a perfect room. Would stay here again definitely, only a short taxi ride to winceslav square or a train ride away.

Really disappointing

First of all the hotel is not in central Prague. It takes quite a journey to get to the Old Town and it takes a 10 minutes walk to reach the closest subway station.
Secondly, they gave us a joined twin bed instead of a double. We asked to be moved to a double bed room and we got it but even there the supposed \"double bed\" was in fact two beds joined together. Sleeping was very uncomfortable.
Thirdly, they did non updated the minibar day by day. After we used the water and coffee they never replaced them so we had to ask for new water and coffee.
Fourthly, the room was incredibly stinky. There was a terrible sewers smell coming out of the shower box.
Finally, the bathroom had....no door! So we slept practically in an open space with the sink and the shower and toilet (only a sliding door separated the toilet and the shower from the rest of the room).
We don't recommend this hotel to anybody.

Nice hotel near to my new job

I chose this hotel as it was close to my new job. The room was in excellent condition. The gym was also in good condition too as I used this two or three times during my stay. The breakfast food was not quite up to standard although there was a lot available on two floors too. My only bad experience was changing my reservation dates which was really difficult to do.
