This hotel has been one of my favourites to stay in. Have told everyone about it and recommended it to anyone going to Prague. From the location right next door to the Metro station, to the beautiful hotel itself it does not disappoint.

The reception staff are amazing, especially a lady with brown hair - I didn’t catch her name but she will remember us as my husband wore shorts the whole trip! She was so friendly, helpful and polite and really helped to make our stay. Thank you!

The surprise little gifts on welcome and on leaving were a beautiful touch, as were the bottles of free water. The breakfast was amazing. If you couldn’t find something to eat here there is a serious problem. There really is everything catered for. Hot food, cereal, fruit, pastries, cakes, gluten free. All tasted amazing as well.

We loved the piano playing in the main entrance and sat and had a drink in the bar/cafe area when we first arrived as we were early. And loved hearing it piped around the hotel too.

The hotel was spotless, very clean, and the beds were so comfy. Got some of the best sleep in years here.

My only wish is you had more of these around the world as I would stay with you every time! Thanks for an amazing stay.

It is a huge hotel; we felt like we were at a holiday resort rather than a hotel. The breakfast is extremely impressive with a wide selection. We changed rooms twice. The first time, they gave us a \"supposedly\" better room on the 11th floor, but there was an elevator behind the wall, so the noise was unbearable. They gave us another room, but when we arrived, it was open and still being cleaned, so we ended up in a third room, which was comfortable and quiet. The room lacked an iron. The mineral water they give out at check-out is nice, but not environmentally friendly. The staff is professional and friendly.

Wonderful! Executive King room really nice and spacious. Breakfast was deluxe and the Executive Lounge a really nice place to relax in the evening. Hotel staff was terrific! Ivan at the desk was top notch for customer service. Super easy to access the \"A\" line for the Metro which had us downtown to all of the major attractions in 10 minutes. Also, trams and buses were easy to access.

Nice, but parking needs better organization. Taxis block loading zone in front of main entrance, ignorant drivers block the only other remaining entrance to underground parking, despite of a staff member asking not to do so. A/C is almost not functional - rooms are still very warm.

Our go to hotel

I have stayed at Don Giovanni many times. It has become my go to hotel in Prague due to the combination of its location, cost and service. My family love the extensive breakfast buet. It has become something we look forward to for the whole year. The location is very attractive from the standpoint of access to public transportation. There is the Zelivskeho tube/metro station right in from of the hotel as is a stop for multiple trams and busses (trams in the front, busses behind the hotel). Also, there is a Lidl supermarket across the street. Despite the transportation options the area is reasonably quiet and peaceful. Franz Kafka’s grave is in the cemetery behind the hotel. The sta is always courteous and helpful. Unfortunately, this year I noticed some signs of aging in the hotel room. Our toilet had multiple cracks and there was mold under the shower/tub handle on the wall. These things are common in hotels, and I understand how diicult it is to avoid mold in bathrooms. Another puzzling thing I noticed this year, was the ridiculous price hike on the hotel.com site (about triple the usual cost). This put me o booking originally and I booked another hotel. As the date approached the price retuned to a more reasonable range and was presented as a discount. I have cancelled the other hotel and booked here. I believe the hotel is under new management now and I am wondering if this pricing strategy has something to do with it.

This is our 3rd time in a year we have stayed at Hotel Don Giovanni and once again it didn't disappoint us . We always get a VIP room with executive lounge access which gives access to rooftop. I felt our room this time seemed quite tired and needing some TLC, lacked some of the luxury touches we have came to love. Saying all that we would highly recommend it to friends and family.

This hotel is great!! We stayed in a junior suite, and had access to the absolutely wonderful Executive Lounge. Location is good, about 5 stops on the metro from the centre. If we had 1 negative, it would be the hot buffet at breakfast was not that hot.

The hotel reception is impressive with staff happy to help when you arrive.
We booked a suite so that we had plenty of space in which we could relax.
The room was very dimly lit and the furniture somewhat uncomfortable. The tv in the bedroom wouldn’t turn on, the plug in the sink didn’t work, the shower head holder wasn’t holding !! And the room just needed a refurb.
The breakfast is good and the buffet dinner is a good option for people not looking to venture out in the evening.
The bar area is very nice should you wish for a coffee or a drink with friends or business associates.
Overall, this is a conference/business hotel which has a grandiose feel as you walk in but for us it was disappointing when you reached the room.
Though I will say, staff were attentive and fixed most but not all of our problems in quick time.
Its location is perfect for transport services into the centre of Prague with tram, bus and metro stops not 1 minute from the hotels doors.

Stayed here for 4 nights. 1 minute walk from the Zelivskeho metro station, tram and bus stops.
Quick check in with plenty of staff on reception at all times. All staff i came across were very friendly and helpful.
Cant fault the cleanliness of the hotel, one of the cleanest i have stayed in.
Room was spacious.
Room was very warm even though it was October, A/C only seemed to blow out same temperature of air no matter how cold i set the temperature.
Shower head did not stay up and the water was very slow to drain in the shower basin.
I had access to the executive lounge which was a nice area. Choices of food were croissants filled with ham, cheese, salmon, sandwiches, cakes, 1 type of lager, red and white wine and water. Although a decent choice, would have liked to have seen another selection of beer and the food was the same choice all day every day. Would be nice to have a different choice of food particularly early evening as all food was best served to have at lunch time.
I would definately stay here again.

Highly recommended ! Very clean room, fresh bedsheets and pillow covers. Bathroom is clean and well provided with the basics needs . Except toothbrush but that’s fine . We always have toothbrush when we travel
Very convenient the Bus , the Tram and the Train station is just a minute walk .It’s technically right there beside the bldg . And you can buy your Hop on hop off ticket with them .

The hotel has 30 years and is in classic style. The big benwfit is the piano music im tge lobby from early morning till night. The breakfast is acceptable. The unking surprise was charging my credit card when I choose pay at property what is related additional costs. After check in there was no option for return payment due to vacation onmy one person who can do it. It is not acceptable to wait 10 days for peyment when you pay 30 euro to pay at property.

The hotel is wonderful, the stuff is very friendly.
There is a metro stop right next to the hotel , you’ll be in the city center for less than 10 mins. We loved it and would stay in this hotel again.

Only downside side is it is right next to the graveyard of Praha. Our navigation took us straight to the entrance of the cemetery instead of the hotel ( loaded from the link here) .

Good hotel, very nice strategic location right next to Tram, Bus and Metro station. Good connectivity to the city centre and also to the airport.

Front Desk team very friendly. Just bear in mind that the hotel room check in time is 3 PM and checkout at 11 AM and its not possible to get early check-ins.

Room was comfortable, although the air conditioning wasn't very efficient. The room controller did not work I think so we have to open the windows to let some air flow.

Breakfast spread is decent but limited hot cooked food items. Good spread of fruits, yoghurts, cakes, cheese, cereals, gluten and dairy free items, breads and more

Staff is friendly and there is live piano performance that goes on in the lobby area almost all day, which is quite soothing!

Fantastic hotel that we would highly recommend. Staff on reception so helpful with tourist information, taxi bookings etc. Speedy check in/out service. Room was perfect for us, spotless, well turned out and had everything we needed. Beds comfortable and dressing robes and slippers provided. Hardly any noise at all, so had a great sleep. Cocktails at the bar were delicious and the lady in the gift shop is super helpful and friendly. Metro and tram stop a 2 minute walk away outside, perfect for travelling into the old town/ tourist attractions. We will definitely return in the future, thank you for a lovely stay.

This hotel suffers hugely from a lack of updating. Who has a shower with only a 14\" shower door??? The entire bathroom gets wet while you stand in the shower trying to keep warm. The air conditioning in the room doesn't work at all. The bathtub stopper was broken. The breakfast is a zoo, with children running everywhere screaming. Virtually nothing healthy at breakfast, and all the eggs are undercooked to the point of being raw, which is dangerous. This is definitely NOT a hotel for Americans; only Eastern Europeans would tolerate this low standard. It's only positive point is that it is near a Metro stop, but still 25 minutes ride to any site.

Very nice hotel. Looks luxurious and is very clean. A bit far from old town to walk (about an hour), but cheap uber and the tram was right in front of the building. Nice restaurants nearby and a Lidl in front. Check in was super easy and we were able to check in early while we waited for the other half of our party to arrive later in the evening.

Fantastic hotel to explore Prague. Directly next to the metro means the centre of Prague is just 10 mins away. Room was spacious and cleaned daily. Breakfast was excellent, lots of choice and presented perfectly. We ate at both restaurants, the buffet and the ground floor restaurant- both were excellent. Great bar/lobby area which offers live music throughout the day was the icing on the cake!

This four-star hotel has a lot of pluses: good breakfast buffet, d cent executive lounge, nice bar with live music, and a good restaurant. The room we stayed in was small but had a nice view of the city. Water pressure is fire hose grade.

The minuses include stuffy interior and very slow room cleaning (as late as 4pm on some days).

It was my 2nd stay this year, everything is perfect, great price. I would always go with the executive room, you have access to the executive lounge with great views, free drink and snack choices from 10 - 10.
location is great with a metro stop next door, in summer I even used public transportation from the airport for less than $5 and just 10 minutes longer than the $50 airport car pickup.

Overall good but with some unfavourable points

Overall condition is acceptable. Service is not good. Especially the front desk , they always pull a long face and not willing to give you a little bit more useful advice even when we asked for the closest metro station. The breakfast quality is no good, for example the juices are diluted with water and the food is not of good quality as you can buy from the supermarket. We don’t prefer to come the next morning though it was all included in our rental.

Don Giovanni is ideally located. It has easy access to both the trams, buses and Metro system. Both the breakfast and dinner buffet is outstanding The lobby and downstairs bar is lovely. The staff are helpful and polite. I found the breakfast buffet staff to be particularly cordial and welcoming. But the front desk and cleaning staff was excellent too. There is nearby shopping at Flora Mall. Numerous dining options are close. There is easy access to any part of the city.

Elevators were old and often took way too long to arrive. Room was clean and cozy and comfortable except that the king bed was actually 2 twin beds pushed together. Only a third of the shower was enclosed so water sprayed on the floor every time. Maid service was good. Lobby area was fantastic.

We Booked two rooms. Arrived after Midnight. Took Uber to hotel as Hotel Booked Taxi did not turn up. Reception tried hard to find out but unable to get in touch with Car or us. However , they were very apologetic and offered us two complimentary bottles of wine. Classic Rooms were spacious and clean.Bathroom was quite spacious and clean. Shower very good . We only stayed 1 night and then had a separate booking for Executive Rooms which we mpved the following day. Breakfast was very good, lots of choices.Buffet Dinner also very good although you have to buy even water separately.Very close to Tram, Metro and Bus. Easy to go to City. Very good hotel to stay in Prague.

Incredible hotel for all aspects especially wonderful breakfast. For sure if I go back to Prague it is my first and only option. Thanks management and staff and nice gift shop. Thanks Suzy in gift shop.

There is a Cementery as a view. It is a great place for business people with a car and groups. It was not the right place for me. It has a beautiful tasteful decoration to celebrate Mozart and his opera. There is a piano player most of the day. A great place for older people. Not for me

The breakfast was brilliant, best I have ever had in a hotel.

The only slight issue I had was the light switch in the room was broken.

Everything you need with easy access to Prague

The hotel is in a great location and very easy to get to from the centre of Prague. The staff were very friendly and always helpful, breakfast was fantastic and the room quiet, clean and comfortable. Will be recommending this hotel to anyone who wants to go to Prague, and would definitely stay again.

Fabulous hotel with great staff. Quick and easy to get into central Prague by public transport. Huge breakfast, we booked an Executive room which gave access to the Executive lounge where free food and drinks available throughout the day

Stayed there for the second time. Really like the place.
Only two things,
Beds too soft fir my liking and shower gel doesnt smell pleasant.
