Really good location with loads of trams, rooms definitely need sound proofing as you can hear everything outside which is annoying as trams run every 2 minutes during the day and every half hour at night.
Reception staff were lovely and helpful, cleaners were friendly breakfast was poor however sadly, nowhere near enough options, you had cereal, hotdogs, bread or cold cuts that's it, not very filling but good times though 7:30-10:30.

I recently had a very pleasant stay at Residence Tabor in Prague. This hotel is conveniently located within ten minute tram ride distance to the Old Town, there are also many shops and restaurants nearby. The staff was very supportive in solving any issues and providing information. Breakfast was also very good. I would recommend this hotel to visitors.

Hotel conveniently located a short tram ride from main station, although is also walkable uphill.
Room a bit dated but had good air con and was very clean and comfortable. Room also had a fridge and kettle. Breakfast was nice with plenty to choose from.

My second stay at the hotel

Good budget hotel similar to Travelodge, Premier inn, Holiday inn....
Compared to this chains the breakfast is much beter and generous, mattresses are firmer, microwave and small fridge in the room and direct phone line to the front desk.
Also there are a few points for improvement (compare to the mentioned hotels):
- kettle, mugs and glasse in the room, but nor tea spoons neither tea bags.
- soap dispenser in the shower, but no soap in
- safe in the room, but no batteries in, therefore it couldn't be used
- No recycling point or informations where or how to recycle glass bottles, cans, paper...

Lobby staff were very helpful and allowed me to store my luggage in their luggage room prior to check in. The room itself was very spacious and had air conditioning and a refrigerator. The lobby is across the street. I left early in the morning so I can not comment on the breakfast. Overall this was a nice spacious room for a great price. I would stay here again.

The hotel is out of the old town but it is walkable or you can use a tram to go. The breakfast is absolutely amazing everything even a hot soup is for you to start a long day. The main railway station is in 20 min walk or 2 tram stops, very convenient to go to the other towns like Kutná Hora or Karlovy Vary. Mini markets and restaurants are a few steps from the hotel door. I travel myself and booked transfer from the airport- I strongly recommend to do it before you make yourself comfortable to orient in the city.

Great place, price, and location.

Part of the Hotel Golden City across the road. You check in and have breakfast there. The breakfast was very decent and a reasonable selection although not exceptional.

The rooms while they feel budget are everything you could need. Comfortable bed, everything clean, decent shower, and very useful aircon.

The location is excellent, there's high frequency tram service from right outside to the station (5 minutes), old town (10 minutes), and the other side of the river (15 minutes). These trams do run 24/7 which is useful although something to be aware of particularly if you're on the front of the building as you will get the rumble of the trams despite decent sound insulation.

Very easy to get to downtown. Also people 65+ travels FREE in all public transportations(locals and tourists)
Staff at the hotel front desk were awesome! The entrance at the residence( across the hotel) is a little bit weird but we had a great stay. Beds and pillows very comfy. Breakfast included was ok!

I like the property facade and I was very surprised for kindness and cleaning of service staff. The room was always with a good smell of clean. The position is perfect because you can easily reach the historical center of the town by walk or by tram with with you can reach every place in town. I was very concerned to see food service staff preparing and serving food at breakfast without masks during this pandemic. In addition several of the cleaning staff assembled and visited for an extended length of time in the food preparation area (very small area) and none of these individuals wore masks either.

I spoke with the manager about my concern and thereafter, did observe improvement among the food service staff. However, the other employees continued to spend time in the food preparation area without any masks.

Nice hotel right on the tramline, so easy access to transport. Good size room with a nice continental style breakfast. Shower did not drain well though so only took short showers to avoid water getting all over the floor of the bathroom. Shower head also struggled to stay up, so was a bit inconvenient. The hotel is average. Nice, helpful staff, clean rooms without much luxury, but for bed and breakfast absolutely adequate. In the room there is a microwave, a kettle and a small fridge. The bathroom was spacious and always clean. A big plus is the tram stop right in front of the hotel. It takes only four stations to reach the center of Prague. A rich breakfast in a small breakfast room, but only with instant coffee.

A very good place to stay with a tasty breakfast!

The check-in was very efficient and uncomplicated. I arrived very late, but was greeted with courtesy and a smile. The room provided was regularly serviced by the maid. The breakfast was exceptional with a large array of meats, cheese, eggs, breads, yogurt, soup, salads, juice, cereal, beverages, fresh fruit and pleasant staff.

The hotel is well served by local transport to get into the city centre: frequent trams stop more or less outside and it's about 10-15 mins. You can get public transport tickets at reception (accross the road in the main hotel). The only downside is that trams run all night, so if your room overlooks the road there can be some noise.

Service was faultless, staff very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet was ample. As it's a little away from the centre there are some good value local restaurants and take-aways too and a supermarket nearby.

Overall we very much enjoyed our stay and facilities were as expected from this grade of accommodation.

Cosy Hotel, great tram link.

I only stayed one night and it is what you expect from a cheap hotel. It has everything you need a bed and a bathroom, I also has decent other little touches such as a fridge and a safe. It is also good that they have a room to put your bags in while you explore the city. The only downside is that, being on a tram line is a bit of a double edged sword. Sure it is good because you can easily get places (such as the Central Station) but bear in mind the noise. The road is also not super busy but there is a pretty constant stream of traffic which, if you're not used to it, might be a problem. Overall it is a nice hotel but I would probably stay at one a little off the main road.

Golden City Hotel is a good value

The room was adequate, but clean and well-kept. Bathroom was small, but included all necessities. The room was cleaned and put back in order every day.

Breakfast was large and offered cold cuts, a variety of sliced cheese, typical Czech salads, breakfast soup, cereals, bangers, yogurt and a variety of bread. Something new this year was juice, boiled eggs, and fresh local fruits, which were a great addition.

Some residence apartments have access to balcony with seats to allow a quiet sit, located at rear. Quiet area, any bars are away from the residence, but within 5 minute walk. Also supermarkets located nearby.
Provided reliable WI-FI, TV, Fridge for my beer (:-)), Microwave, Phone.
Security Front door to building, and your own door, with elevator/lift to floors. Staff will explain all this.

The only thing was the hotel is a bit far out from where everything is happening so you have to take the tram - but the trams run frequently and stop right outside the hotel. Very good price for the stay!

Residence Tabor - a refuge from the city.

Residence Tabor is a nice quiet getaway from the noise and hubbub of the city. The room was very small and the bathroom only large enough to turn around in. Maid service is every day, but linens are only changed once a week. The room is clean. Breakfast is substantial, but rarely change. The soup is very pleasant and a variety of salad is provided. Coffee is instant coffee. Juices are provided, but there was only fresh fruit on a very limited basis. Staff is friendly and helpful. Tram service is only 50 steps from the hotel.

Tabor - excellent transportation at the door.

The hotel residence is rather private with a very nice breakfast served across the street at the sister hotel. The breakfast is substancial and offers a wide variety of fare. I would prefer some fruit added, but that can be had outside the hotel at several small markets. The trams outside the residence take one to the main shopping square (Vaclavski Namesti), Old Town, a short walk from the Charles Bridge or a convenient transfer to the Castle and St. Vidas Cathedral.

The rooms are not as clean as they should be. We found the towel not very pleasant to use. However the reception was very friendly when we ask for the towel change. The room however had all we needed. a fridge and a water boiler that came very handy. The breakfast was good too and the hotel was very easy to reach by tram.

You have to check in at Hotel Golden City located across the street. The room is alright but the bed was not clean that the bed sheets, pillows and blankets trapped a lot of hair (great minus), probably because they are very worn out. The staff are very nice and helpful though, very friendly staff. They made very nice breakfast with hot soup, salad pasta, sausages, tea, coffee and bread. One more thing, the hotel offer currency exchange with good rate, but they charge 4% commission. Go to Opletalova street on the Vaclavske namesti end (the plaza) instead, there are many exchanges with good rates selling and buying (buying at 27.4 when the actual rate was 27.43 at the time of my visit) 0 commission.

Residence Tabor - a hotel of contrasts !

I really enjoyed my stay at Tabor - there's a tram stop right outside so although it's a little way out of the centre, it's easy to get into town. The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was good and Zizkov was a nice area to stay in. There was free internet access too. My only gripes would be the tatty bedclothes, the broken soap dispenser in the shower and the strange towel, which I'm fairly sure must have been a bath-mat in a previous existence. If you're after luxury, this isn't the place for you, but if you're looking for somewhere basic and reasonably central at an extremely good price then I would thoroughly recommend it.

Wunderbare Lage, in direkter Nähe Produktläden und Haltestellen der Busse und Straßenbahne. Gutes Preis-Leistung Verhältnis. Badezimmer voll ausgestattet, ein breites Bett mit ausreichenden Bettuntersilien. Das Zimmer warit einem Wasserkocher und Mikrowelle ausgestattet, es gab aber aus Geschirr nur 2 Tassen und 2 Gläser. Ich habe aber auch nicht um mehr gefragt, so nett wie das Personal war, kann ich mir vorstellen, dass alles andere auf Nachfrage ist. Etwas enttäuschend war, dass beim Wasserkocher kein Tee/Kaffe mit dabei war. Das Frühstücksbuffet war mit ausreichender Wahl, nicht zu viel, aber so, dass jeder etwas für sich finden konnte.

das Zimmer wurde keinen Tag gereinigt bzw. keine Betten gemacht... wir bekamen jeden Tag ein neues Handtuch und Badetuch neu.

Rezeptionsleute sehr nett und zuvorkommend.
Frühstückbuffet war ok.

O hotel é bem antigo, o quarto que ficamos tinha muito cheiro de mofo. O café da manhã não tinha boas opções, principalmente de coisas salgadas. Único ponto positivo era é boa localização, em frente a um dos pontos de bondinho, o que nos possibilitou acessar facilmente todos os pontos turísticos da cidade.

La habitación se encontró limpia, el equipo de ama de llaves se encargó de siempre tener lista nuestra habitación, el desayuno es variado y rico, la atención del personal es excelente siempre muy amables y dispuestos a ayudar!
