Room was clean and staff was excellent. Staff was willing to assist in anyway. Location is excellent! Tram service was nearby and a bus station for a direct bus to and from the airport in a 10min walk.

The only issue I have is with the Laundry Service. Before finalizing the wash, notification of the total cost to wash the laundry should be passed on to the guest if different from what was expected at first(approx. 57 Euros). The new price of 158 Euros is unrational. If I was aware beforehand, the laundry could be completed at Prague Andy's Laundromat(a family member utilized this service for a larger load and confirmed the price) nearby for 20 Euros.

Small boutique hotel in a quiet street a few minutes from a main underground station. The furnishings were in excellent condition and a very comfortable bed gave a good sleep. A chair in the bedroom would have been appreciated but overall there was no other issues. A friendly welcome at reception and attentive staff in the restaurant capped a very pleasant stay.

The hotel was well appointed and decorated, and in a convenient location. Breakfast was excellent. Only criticisms were the rooms were hot (A/C was disabled for the season and there were no other fan options), and the water temperature in the shower often fluctuated between icy and scalding)

Comfortable beds, nice breakfast

This hotel has for me the most comfortable beds in Prague. It is one of my favorite hotels but I have to say I was very disappointed by the check-in and check-out experience this time around - arrived late at 10:30pm and had to wait 10 minutes for someone to show up at the reception and the same thing happened in the morning when I had to leave for a meeting with my client and nobody was there for my checkout. This for a 4star hotel like this is not OK from my perspective. Someone always has to be at reception or just leave a number there or something. I love this hotel but please fix the check-in/out experience, it was not up to your standards.

The horel staff were very helpful and friendly.
There was a leak in the room below and they had to access it from the bathroom in my room. They more than made up for the inconvenience, moved me to a better room, offered me additional perks etc. This is a great hotel, very comfortable and is close to everything. Stay here, you will love it!

This is a good hotel in a decent location. It doesn't sit in the centre of town (not a bad thing in my opinion) but is within walking distance of the old town and has a tram stop very close by with regular trams that cost very little.
My room was a good size and the bed was comfortable...I even had an unexpected balcony!
Breakfast was good with plenty of choice and the staff were friendly and quick to acknowledge you. They were also very helpful. There has been a mix-up with one of the bookings in my party, and this was quickly resolved by reception.
The only negative point appears to be a hotels.com issue rather than the hotel itself, as when asking about the \"free beverage\" promised in the booking, I was told that the hotel doesn't do this. When I raised this with hotels.com, they were quick to offer compensation, but to my knowledge, the offer is still shown on the booking page.
But this is a very minor point. In summary, if you are looking for a comfortable stay in Prague, outside of the hustle and bustle of the city centre but with good transport links back and forth, then this is the perfect place to book.

- Not able to sleep properly due to noisy pipes and other noise from the building

- Double beds do not have double sized duvet - the hotel only offers 2 single size duvets

- Massage room is a cupboard

- Curtains are not black out as advertised

- On a positive note the staff are very friendly and happy to answer questions eg how to get around via tram

Great Experience!

Hotel staff and facilities were excellent! The pillows were smaller than what we are accustomed to so we had folded them in half for comfort. The cleaning staff noticed this and without asking, they left us 2 additional pillows. What a treat after a long day of sightseeing! If ever we return to Prague, we will stay at Hotel Alwyn.

Our stay at Hotel Alwyn was excellent.
The room was super clean, very spacious and the bed was super comfortable.
The room was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
We really enjoyed the the balcony.

The daily breakfast was great and we enjoyed the restaurant for an evening dinner.

The location of the hotel is very convenient if you are using public transportation. The metro station is about a 10 minute walk away.
I would recommend Hotel Alwyn to anyone visiting Prague.

We would stay at this hotel again on our next visit to Prague.

I was struck by the camaraderie which existed amongst staff in this hotel - this makes such a difference to the ambience of the accommodation. My room was large and spacious with windows which could be opened to allow fresh air to enter. The meals/cocktails that I had were most enjoyable and I enjoyed my conversations with all. I recommend this hotel, it is close to a tram stop which accesses all areas of interest and had a welcoming atmosphere when I returned at the end of a day's sightseeing.

Great value, good location, cool neighborhood

I stayed here four weeks during a training course and found the Alwyn to be a very clean, comfortable hotel in a cool neighborhood and thought it was a terrific value and I would definitely stay here again. The room was a good size with a nice bathroom and a remote control air conditioner, which was a godsend during the summer heat wave. The breakfast buffet was well stocked with a nice array of cold and hot options. The staff were all very friendly and the hotel and rooms were kept immaculate. The location is also great on a quiet street. The surrounding Karlin neighborhood has a lot of good dining options, and the hotel is right around the corner from the Dva Kohouti microbrewery/taproom, which was a cool spot to hang out after work or after dinner and draws locals from all over Prague. The hotel is about a five-minute walk from the Florenc bus station, which is also where the Metro yellow and red lines intersect, making it very easy to get around the city. I often took the tram right around the corner from the hotel one or two stops and transferred to the Metro or bus, which made it very easy to get into the city center in 15-20 minutes. The Amboseli Restaurant in the hotel is pretty good; it’s usually packed at lunch time during the week but not busy at dinner. The fitness center was probably about what you’d expect in a small hotel, but there’s a nice walking/cycling path along the river maybe 400 meters from the hotel, so most days I just ran on that.

I really liked the hotel. It is small and cozy, clean and the staff is super nice and friendly. The location is 20 minutes of walking from the old town of Prague or 5 minutes to the nearest metro station.
The only thing I didn't like is the fact that the AC in the room was without a remote and I could not use it. I was told that during some periods of the year, the AC is not available...

The rooms are very very basic and compared to the price....its expensive. It is in no way a 4 star as it claims to be. No 24 hours room service, no bath tub. Doesn't qulify for a 4 star. a basic 2.5 to 3 stars maybe.

I stayed in a deluxe room, loved the comfort of the room, especially the deep bath after walking the old city all day in chilly rain. Close enough to walk to the old town, but far enough away to be a nice quiet night sleep. Hotel restaurant offers delicious local cuisine and beverages, breakfast buffet was excellent. All parts of the hotel were modern and the elevator is secure, so only guests can reach the rooms. I was able to find free street parking with only minimal circling.

Room was spacious but really need some maintenance or renovation. The corridor was very dark.
Better to have some flood lights to lit up their facade at night cos it was hard to see the hotel.
Receptionist was nice and very helpful.
No free street carpark indeed but there was a paid carpark with 24hrs in & out privilege not far away.

This hotel is located on a quiet street but close to restaurants. It is also right by the streetcar line so getting to all of the attractions in the Old Town are really close. The hotel itself was very nice, quiet, and clean. Also, the hotel was actually very well-priced. I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Prague.

Hotel staff super friendly and breakfast was just right. Location was amazing, not too toruisty, locals everywhere. Would reccommend pivorasky club & Lokal.

My main concern was the hotel was advertised as a 'double or two singles'? Just specify in your booking comments and they'll make the bed accordingly. I was worried it was going to be two singles stuck together, it turned out it was, but we didn't actually notice/feel the seam until we were leaving! the Bed was amazing!!!

The only downside is we had to walk the last flight of stairs, as the lift didn't go up there! Otherwise perfect!

Lovely hotel, my new top choice for Prague

As a somewhat freqent traveller to Prague, hotels are a hit-and-miss. I think I found the one. It's well-located near Florenc or Krizikova Metro stations, it's got nice rooms with very good AC (necessary!) *and* a balcony during non-hot days. Friendly staff, simple place, and most importantly, quiet when you DON'T need any noise! I'll return next time I'm in Prague!

Courtesy of Goggle maps we navigated our rental car into Prague 1. Thankfully Hotel Alywn arranges (fee) for guests to park on the adjoining street which we did for the duration for our three days stay without any issues. The Hotel Alwyn is well located within Prague’s central district only a block away from the local tram and only one tram stop away from the Florenc metro station (lines B & C). The hotel itself is modern with a bar/restaurant located at the entrance. Staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Amenities were what you would expect from a four-star hotel. Rooms were quiet and comfortable. A/C was a plus. Breakfast was served in the restaurant in the morning and was typically European and adequate. It was nice to discover a pot of fresh brewed ground coffee alongside the ubiquitous espresso machine. Plenty of food choices nearby and only a 20-minute walk to Wenceslas square. Overall a great location and great value for the price.

Clean and well maintained good size room, friendly staff, three stops to old town by tram or 20 mins by walk. We arrived late afternoon, tired, hungry and no kč, walked to old town to change money(kč) and have food, later we realized the food in hotel restaurant is cheaper and better also you can pay Euros, so if you are tired, hungry and no local money when you arrive, just enjoy your food in hotel, have a good rest before you explore the old town.

Hotel Alwyn was a great place to stay.They have an AMAZING breakfast.It really set me up well everyday for my explorations and full days of walking and sightseeing in Prague. It is a bit out of the way and about a 20 minute walk from the center, but close to the train and very accessible by tram. Their rates are economical and they have parking. If you don't mind the walk or having to take the train, it's ideal. Lot's of local business people stay there, so you know they are a good value. The rooms are comfortable, a bit small but with all the necessities. Since you won't be staying in the room a whole lot, you have all that you need. Beds were comfortable. The surrounding area is residential with some local businesses and is safe and quiet. I was tired of walking one night, and took a cab from the center and it was just 20 Euro. A single train ride is 24 Koronas, so less than $2 dollars or you can get a 24 hour train pass etc. The ladies at the reception were super helpful and assisted me with a charger for my phone. They saved my life because my phone was my only camera as well. There was also a super kind gentleman during the day that checked me in upon arrival and answered all my questions about navigating the area and finding places to eat and visit. He also helped me get a cab one day and exchange money.Overall, this was a great place to stay if you don't mind not being in the middle of the action and getting a feel for local life. Not in touristy area.

Nice hotel in a quiet area.

Nice hotel in a quiet area but not a far walk from old town and other areas. It is very peaceful and the food in the restaurant was DELICIOUS!! We ate there several times. The breakfast is OK, not a large assortment but enough to get something in your stomach for the morning. They have a cable box and so you are able to get a lot more stations in English than other hotels I've stayed in in Europe. Staff was very nice and friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at the Alwyn Hotel for two nights on a business trip to Prague. I was attending a meeting at the Hilton, but that hotel was fully booked, so with some trepidation I booked myself into the Alwyn, five minutes walk away. I was very pleasantly surprised. My room was spacious, spotlessly clean and well equipped (including free WiFi broadband). Room service meals were available and the small restaurant downstairs was very pleasant. The hotel is located on a quiet side street with no noisy trams rumbling past. The peace and quiet, combined with very good blackout curtains, provided ideal conditions for an excellent night's sleep. The Haastens bed was very comfortable. I probably slept better than I would have done at the Hilton and at a fraction of the price.

清潔で広い部屋。大きなバスタブもあって疲れを癒してくれる。朝食もとても美味しかった。

The Hotel ist chic, quite new, near the Center. The stuff very friendly and helpful.
The room was spacious, quiet, with windows to open and a filled fridge, the box spring bed was soft and everything was very clean.
I started 2 nights in June 2025 and the AC was also welcomed.
The Breakfast was just everything you need and well prepared with an good coffee machine.
I appreciated my stay there and truly recommend the Hotel!

In Allgemeinen empfehlenswert...

Schönes Boutique Hotel Karlin mit einem sehr freundlichen Service. Rezeptionsbereich ist neu, Die Zimmer sind groß und teilweise renoviert und die Lage perfekt zwischen den coolen (nicht touristischen) Stadtteil Karlin und der Altstadt, die in 15 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar ist. Leider wird das Hotel gerade renoviert. Restaurant hat am Wochenende zu und der Flur hat nach Anstrich gerochen. Fitness Studio ist da aber nicht mehr... Hoffentlich geht es um einen vorübergehenden Zustand.

Rock hard beds. Gave you a back pain instead of a good nights rest after walking all over Prag. Good breakfast and over all nice open space areas. The room wasn’t the cleanest really bad lightning both in bathroom and bedroom.

Underbart trevligt hotel.Centralt men ändå på en lugn gata. Mycket bra rymligt rum, sköna sängar, kanonservice. Frukosten mycket bra. Supertrevlig personal. Kan klart rekommenderas!

Parken vor dem Hotel unter der Woche sehr teuer, am Wochenende kostenlos. Haltestelle um die Ecke, 24 Std. Ticket ca.6 Euro. Zimmer sind geräumig, Bad schon in die Jahre gekommen. Duschbadewanne zu hoch und rutschig. Schmutzwäsche stand von Freitag bis Sonntag im Gang herum.

Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Englischkenntnisse sind von Vorteil aber nicht unbedingt erforderlich. Ich empfehle, den PKW am Hotel stehen zu lassen und die Stadt mit den günstigen Uber-Taxis zu erkunden.
