The only negative was that it was advertised as having a gym and sauna, but when I got there its an extra charge to use them (which wasnt obvious at the time of booking). Not a deal breaker, would stay again

The Grand exterior unfortunately does not meet the interior standard. While the traditional furniture does add charm to the spacious room the road noise from the adjacent highway and the paper thin curtains do not make for a peaceful sleep. A handheld over the bath shower could also be improved. A welcome smile or just a happy face at reception might have helped a little but even this was missing. The 4* rating is a little misleading.

4 Day Winter stay

This is a comfortable hotel and within walking or public transport reach - Trams 12 & 14 stop right outside and Florenc Metro is nearby.
My room was comfortable and clean and quiet, the only let down was a lack of tea/coffee making facilities.
Breakfast is plentiful but there is limited space in the breakfast room, and a cut-off hour of 10am means there was a lot of congestion between 9 and 10.
Also there were often shortages of juice glasses, coffee cups and other essentials

Budget friendly decent hotel in Prague.

Stayed 4 nights for couples long weekend. About 15-20 minute leisurely stroll into old town. Lovely restaurants and pubs on the way. Team outside hotel. Supermarket just around the corner. Hotel was comfy, slightly dated in places but perfectly clean. Comfy bed. Nice bathroom with bath, shower, toiletries, hairdryer etc. fridge, mini bar, safe, and own balcony. Big room with lots of storage space. Breakfast was decent, eggs, bacon, sausages, beans, salad, pastries, cereal, toast, cold meats and cheeses. Bar was good also and reasonably priced. Check in smooth. Nice staff. Would definitely stay again.

Cons: staff came across as rude. Hot tube was shown as an amenity but was 15 euros with limited space. Bed was weathered and rough. A bit far away from thongs but public transport is good.

Pretty Good Place to Stay

The hotel is a little far from the center of Old Town Prague, but easy to get to and plenty of places nearby to get a good meal. The hotel is adorable and we really found the Suite to be very comfortable. Very clean and the staff was pleasant. There were two concerns. We were told that the spa and sauna were included, but we were charged for use at check out. They also arranged for a car to take us to the airport costing 27 euro. When we got to the airport the driver insisted on 80. That may not be the hotel's responsibility, but they work with that company. So they should have some awareness. The continental breakfast was really excellent. So all in all, a good experience.

Great hotel & experience

This was our first visit to Prague, the furthest destination on a European road trip. Wasn't too sure on what to expect however, by in large everything was fine for a city centre hotel. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the parking. The expectation based on the information when the room was booked was that there was free parking, however on arrival discovered there was no parking available, and was given directions to a secure parking area nearby. This was about 60 seconds drive and the presence of far more expensive cars that ours left me confident it would be safe. (Around £8/ 24hrs)

The hotel is old (built in 1800s) however was well decorated, clean and in spotless condition. The room, bed and bathroom were well furnished and comfortable.

We had one evening meal which was excellent in all aspects, and the buffet breakfast was a great spread of all kinds of things.

Some of the main attractions of Prague (old town square/astronomical clock/Charles bridge) are about 15 min walk.

Lovely hotel 10 minutes walk from the Old Square. We found the staff very helpful. Our room was very clean , our only issue was the bedding. Uncomfortable pillows but we got more on request. We arrived on New year's day and decided to eat in the hotel restaurant for dinner. Very nice meal for a great price. The breakfast buffet was great and had something for every taste.

Awesome Hotel!

We arrived in a totally foreign place but finding Opera was quit simple. It's location was great for our visit; locals amenities very convenient to walk too. The receptionist was very polite and helpful to us on arrival. The highlight was our breakfast and cocktails! Would recommend to anyone and definitely go back on next trip.

● comfortable matters, well slept
● location accessible
● spacious rooms; tv with all languages, mini bar was awesome, safe
● bar with restaurant on site


Cons:
● Bedding had some blood stains

Potential to be a nice hotel

Two out of the four nights I had to close my window because a staff member was very loud smashing bottles into a bin outside, even though it was stifling in the room. It is a nice touch if you have a kettle in the room.
The breakfast choice was very good but unfortunately, the food didn’t taste that nice or fresh. As a four-star hotel I was slightly disappointed they wanted to charge for the sauna and Jacuzzi.

Breakfast was included. There were many hot and cold items to choose from on the buffet. The pastries and bread were fresh. Room was very clean and although facing the highway there was very little noise during the night. If any noise is a concern, request a room facing the side street. Hotel very close to transit (stop just outside the lobby) and staff who spoke very good English, were very helpful with transit tips and directions to attractions. Highly recommend for your visit to Prague.

This was my 3rd stay at this hotel in a 2 week period. Each time I stayed, I was in a different room (all booked through Expedia) and each room (all single rooms as I was a lone traveler) had a different price. The more the single room cost, the bigger and more comfortable the room was! I must say though, even the cheapest room was comfortable and clean, however the bed was a little short for me (I am tall, about 195cm) and my legs hung over the edge. It was fine for only 2 nights, so no complaints; however, if I had stayed longer I would have preferred paying more for a bigger bed. Clarify bed size before booking if you are a tall person! I loved the location, near a major train station and only 1 stop to the main Prague train station. Easy walking distance to the main tourist areas of old town. There are 2 big grocery stores nearby so buying cheap food & drink stuff for your in-room fridge is convenient. The free breakfast was very good, nothing amazing, but great simple selection and plenty of food, even after 9:30 (ends at 10). The staff were very helpful, kind, and pleasant to talk with. They were also very accommodating with allowing me to leave my big suitcase with them (free of charge) as I traveled around Czech Republic and Germany in between my stays at the hotel (I checked in and out 3 times). All in all, very satisfied.

In general it's a very nice hotel in a location that looks a bit run-down.
There is a tram stop nearby, but it's not on one of the popular lines and so if you intend to take the tram a lot, you need to take into account the fact that you will be spending a bit more time getting anywhere, due to connections that you need to make and times for transfer. Metro station isn't too far either.

The hotel itself is in excellent shape, all facilities are great, rooms are clean, service staff are courteous, helpful and many speak English, which makes things easier for those of us who don't speak Czech or German :)

Rooms themselves are small, so keep that in mind if you like to have some space.

Nice hotel, little far from center . You need transportation to get to center of town. I would rate the hotel 3 star. Room was clean but it smelled bad. We had two rooms and they both had the same bad smell. Hotel staff were very helpful. Overall, ok experience but would not stay there again.

Not for the pancakes but for everything else

Unique experience in a beautiful old building, close to metro and bus staitions, walking distance from the beautiful river.
They sell the all pass 24-hour ticket. The staff are professional, helpful but not too friendly.
Breakfast is not 4star! Rooms are nice and there’s a safe box inside. Minibar is charged as extra, and the bathroom’s shower couldn’t have been hanged on the wall. Overall, best thing is their low price/value ratio and the building itself.
The elevators are small. I’d give it a 4out5 like their star level.
