Our stay was amazing from start to finish made by birthday trip so special . The staff were so helpful and friendly especially Francesca nothing was too much for her . Checking trains , booking the spa restaurant recommendations she is such a lovely lady . Apartment were so lovely spacious and clean we had an amazing view . Breakfast was delicious lots of variety and Anita in the breakfast room was so nice and pleasant always smiling and working so hard . Apartments close to everything perfect location . I will definitely stay here again 10 out of 10 for service from all the staff .I Used the sister hotel for the spa which was amazing and staff really friendly there too .

Fantastic apt style hotel with valet parking just outside most loud shopping streets, under 10min walk to the arena di Verona, right in front of castle museum. Definitely a considerable place where you can cook and relax in a small common area in each apartment. Super new everything, clean, neat. 5 star.

This is a lovely apartment hotel. The location is next to the castle and just a 5 minute walk from piazza Bra and the Coliseum. The staff are very professional, helpful and very kind. We will definitely stay here again!

Great hotel. Very friendly, courteous and professional front desk staff and woman hosting at the breakfast was simply wonderful. Amazing breakfast (nice variety of food - yoghurts, homemade granola, fruits, smoked salmon, vegetables, pastries, eggs, pastries, coffee machine) and good quality food). We were a family of 4 and we fit fine - we had our own good sized room with a solid wood door and second door separating the shared bathroom - so all noise was blocked out. The kids stayed in the living room with a slept on the pull out bed in what would otherwise have been the living room space. It was tight for them but they loved it. There was a small kitchen and seating area. Very nice really - compact with the kids occupying the living space. It perfectly fine as loads of room for bags in the main bedroom. No views- outside not particularly appealing but that was fine as the area was right perfect close walk location was great - right across from the castle and a few minutes to the arena/Piazza Bra (also where the buses stop). The bathroom was nice too. All modern/new feel and clean. Kitchenette nicely equipped and there was a selection of teas and also instant coffee provided. Would certainly stay again. We liked that it was just on the edge of the busy tourist area and not smack in it…so calming. Good quality bed (and think the same is true of the pull out but I didn’t test it).

4 Night stay in Verona for Valentines

Check in was easy, bags carried to room for us. Location is great, easy walk to all sights and restaurants. Staff are very friendly! I booked the studio and it was beautiful exactly like the pictures and worth the money, it was spacious, loved the colour changing shower, bed was extremely comfortable , and it was very tidy! I could not fault my stay here at all and will most definitely be back if I come back to Verona

Well located, but small rooms

We stayed for 1 night as a family of 4 in early June 2017. The hotel is well situated very near the castle wall and minutes from the centre of town. The entrance makes it look run down, but inside it was fine. The rooms were a bit small, but good quality and clean. The shower had a drainy smell, but otherwise was good. Breakfast was offered in a box at 5 euros, which was disappointing, so we ate in town. Try Gusto pizza takeaway round the corner on the main road - good value and tasty. We also ate at La Cantina del 15 which we enjoyed.

Great hotel - even better when finished!

This is a really great hotel. The title takes account of recent refurbishment work, ongoing. Our rooms (sleeping and lounge/kitchen) were very good - but one of the wall light units was missing - just wires coming out of the wall. Also another group of wires from the ceiling (smoke alarm?). The kitchen unit was great but we have suggested a simple guide to the advanced 'hot ring' device which caught us old fogies out for a time! We told all of the above to the management at the time and they were grateful for our input.

Otherwise, the location is great; About 15 minutes' stroll to the Arena and lots of interesting sights to see. About 35 minutes steady walk to the train station, but buses passing the castle (very close to the hotel) go there frequently so no big problem there. The welcome drink at the sister hotel near the Arena was most welcome with a good view from the roof terrace. All in all a great experience and we would certainly go back again.

Close to everything but dated and noisy

The apartments are within 5-10 minutes of walk to the downtown and in 2-3 minutes of walk to Castelvecchio and we were very glad to find a small washing machine at the kitchen (as it was the second week of our Italy trip and laundry was a bit of a problem). But the place seems to have really thin walls and we could hear everything that was happening in apartments around you as well as at the street and in the courtyard. Another issue was with the bathroom - the shower head didn't work and something like mold was all around the shower cabin on the ceiling and even on the bathroom door.

Location,location, location.

This hotel is central so it is an easy walk to all the tourist sites. The apartment was spacious with a separate room for the kitchen dining room. The bathroom was clean and loved the big shower rose. The issue was the floor of the shower is dangerously slippery and the shower doors need fixing as they are very hard to open and close. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone going to Verona and want to cook.

The hotel is very nice and the staff very friendly and helpful. It is located only a 5 minute walk from the Arena Verona and the historic centre of the city. The only downside is that there is no restaurant / bar at the hotel so breakfast cannot be provided.

Beautiful residence. Great for couples!

Really liked the residence and the location. I was just a little disappointed that they could not switch on the heater. They mentioned that they have to take an approval from Verona's municipality a day in advance if a guest requests heating. It was a little strange, but I was alright at night with a couple of blankets.

Perfect location

Perfect location, right in the city. Walked everywhere. They don't have a lot of info on what you can do, etc. It's more of a bunch of apartments that they rent for a minimum of a week so you won't expect room service. My room was rather dusty and I had to take anti-histamines. Claudia was really nice though. She helped me with directions to the tourist center where I got more information. The toilet's clean and there's an attached kitchen should you want to cook.
There's this lady who was staying in the block who kept practicing her singing and they were playing music- utterly annoying. She practiced about 3 hours a day!
If you're alright with accommodation that gets cleaned once a week, may be a little dusty but is close to everything, do not hesitate. I'd rate this 3 out of 5 overall.

Perfect base for a week in Verona

We had a great experience at La Residenza Verona House and would definitely stay there again. The location is just on the edge of the old town near the river and everything is within walking distance.

The owners are very helpful and friendly. They speak English quite well and gave good recommendations for places to see and eat.

We had room number 10. It's a studio apartment on the 1st floor and it was exactly what we needed. The room was clean, quiet and pleasant, though the furnishings are a little dated. It's not really cute or romantic if that's what you're looking for but we spent most of the time walking, eating and drinking our way around the old city. The convenience of location, having a washing machine and a fridge outweighed the rest.

Our room had:
Free wifi
Aircon
Washing machine
Kitchen with fridge and cooktop
Small living room

There is on-street parking. We didn't have trouble finding spaces out the front but they are limited. The parking permit €8 per day from reception.

Breakfast is a coupon for coffee/juice and a croissant at a nice cafe over the road. It's not open on Sunday though so you'll have to walk to the main square and buy something.

Great space - and air con.

We were there for a week, so it was good to have so much space - living/kitchen downstairs, bedroom/bath up. All a bit tired, but the location made up for it. Giuseppe was excellent when we arrived and gave us lots of info, but the lady who was there in the mornings was constantly on the phone and never once spoke - just handed over the breakfast voucher and smiled while continuing her conversation.

However, it was a very comfortable stay, and the air-conditioning was very effective - vital last week when the temperature hit 40.

We were pleasantly surprised to find that we had a large room with en suite, sitting room and kitchenette. Very comfortable and clean. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful - really went out of their way to ensure we got the most out of our stay in Verona. Excellent location - a few minutes walk from The Arena and shops but on a quiet street with a stunning view of the Castelvecchio museum opposite.

Home away from home

The hotel fulfilled all our expectations. I rated the staff 4 only because it seems the best place to inform the hotel owners that because the reception area (and consequently the computer) is open only a few hours on most days of the week the service of the hotel is lessened. We had to stand in the entrance hallway for wifi. When we were on day trips we missed a chance to use internet time. The reception staff was very willing to assist although the English of some was limited. We personally don't expect the whole world to speak English, but this is important point for some travellers to know in advance. We weren't looking for a luxury hotel. We wanted a clean convenient spot for a week in Verona. We are pensioners, prefer a chance to shop locally and eat in the apt once a day. Enjoyed the breakfast voucher - service in local cafe/bar for coffee and pastry.

A very good base

This hotel is next door to Castelvecchio and very close to the amphitheatre and town centre. There are only minor gripes - the reception people are not always there, not even when they are meant to be. However they are very friendly and helpful. The decor is a bit dated but all very clean and confortable. The wifi service is very limited (or rather becomes costly after 15 minutes) but reception printed off my flight boarding passes which they didn't need to do.
All in all, we'd be happy to go there again (in fact wouldn't really consider going elsewhere).

A perfect base for the city centre.

Our room was comfortable with old fashioned hand painted furniture, and a small shower room. The shower room is small but perfectly fine with new fittings. It was great having a small fridge in the room. The room was cleaned thoroughly every day, and we got clean towels every day. Beds v comfy. Air conditioning was excellent and very quiet.

The 2 young women running the place were extremely helpful and were happy to chat. There was no problem leaving our stuff in the hotel until we got our train later in the afternoon.

The location is great for taking the water buses on the Grand Canal, and you can walk to all the major sights in 15min. There is a lovely square just at the end of the little street where you can sit out.

The only problem with the hotel is that there is no-where to sit out, but this is true of most hotels. It is nice sitting in the squares but of course you have to buy a drink to do this. There are very few squares with benches for the public to use, and the ones there are, are well used. We tended to drink too much at night because we had to sit at cafes to stay outside. (We're too old to be hanging round steps).

The cost is very reasonable for the location, and you really are in the centre of things. If you're on the go all day and only need a base to drop in through the day and sleep at night, this is perfect.

Great Hotel Experience

When we booked our hotel online, we did not know what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised by everything about La Residenza Verona House. The service was very responsive, answering our questions about Verona sights and booking us travel when we needed it. The room was clean and spacious, with a nice kitchenette, which was fully stocked with everything we needed to make a nice dinner for ourselves. The hotel is in a good location, across the street from Castelvecchio and within close walking distance of both downtown Verona(~5 min. walk) and the train station(~15 min walk). Overall, we would definitely recommend the hotel to others and plan to stay there whenever we return to Verona.

The best thing is that is is very central. But it isn't a hotel and shouldn't be marketed as such. It's a series of one-bedroom apartments with an overall feeling of time having stood still in 1970 something and the occasional bit of tiling or flea-market acquired rug chucked on a bit of available floorspace.
There is no food at the hotel. Breakfast, if included, is at an incredibly unwelcoming (to you if you are a 'breakfast included' person) cafe a few minutes walk away.
It was OK for our purposes - a few days stay in central Verona - but greatly over-priced and somewhat misleadingly marketed, possibly. I presume the rates can be demanded for Verona during Opera season but that is a regrettable fact.

Great location for exploring Verona and only 5 minutes walk to the Arena. Friendly staff. Room was comfortable, with a shower and kitchenette. Voucher for breakfast which gives you a coffee and a croissant in a local cafe- you pay for anything else but it all worked very well and you could sit outside and view the Castelvecchio Museum just over the road. We would definitely stay there again.

Apartment was so convenient:- beside a beautiful castle,
within walking distance of Arena so went to the Opera 2 nights. Towels changed regularly, very clean. Don't rush to get up for breakfast as it is minimal. Near pubs and restaurants.

Die Klimaanlage war im ganzen Hotel auf sehr kalt eingestellt und konnte nicht manuell im Zimmer angepasst werden.
Das Personal konnte nicht helfen.
