Great location and the room was clean. The staff were all extremely unfriendly - this was actually the worse part of my time in Prague was how rude and miserable the staff at this hotel were.

The hotel does not have air conditioning, and when we checked in, it was extremely hot. We were uncomfortable the entire night. While the hotel is in a great location, just a short walk from Old Town Square, it's not worth staying here during hot weather. The hotel is not clean at all.

Very basic hotel.....clean but dated. Some water patches on ceiling and foam filling gaps around door frame.. hairdryer overheats very quickly so took long time to dry hair. Shampoo and soap products very watery.

The stay was fine - i did not spend a lot of time in the hotel, but the check-in and check-out were rather fast. I didn't try the breakfast there and didn't use any other services. The room was nice. It did smell like a million different cleaning products have been used there, but i got used to it really fast. When leaving, i forgot my watch in the hotel room and downstairs in the reception they already informed me that i forgot it there. Fast and honest!

Nice hotel very clean 5 mins walk from old town Square clarles Bridge only a little walk away. Nice choice for breakfast... Stop there 4 nights and the bar was not open any night which was a massive disappointment and when asked about this got told there was a bar around the corner.

Major issues with the room however the staff went out of their way to help, including sorting us another room. Thank you to the general manageress and female receptionist.

In terms of the hotel, the breakfast wasn’t great and the hotel doesn’t have aircon making it very difficult in 30+ degree heat.

Location 10/10 making it a great base for the wonderful city of Prague.

Ok but would stay elsewhere next time.

Generally OK but the bathroom has clearly flooded meaning the wooden door frame was falling apart. Room was small but comfortable for one and the shower was a very shallow tray and horrible curtain which explains the flood damage. Didn't bother with breakfast or anything but the local area is ok, safe enough.

So-so hotel

So-so experience. The location was fantastic but it was summer and there is no ventilation in the room so it was stuffy and all I had was this tiny fan and the windows needed to be opened wide just to get slight coolness in the room. It was a struggle to sleep!
Wifi did not work at all! Thank goodness I had data roaming for free.
Hotel taxi was a rip off too. Don't ever book taxi with the hotel. Just book a transfer online which is a fixed rate.

Hotel was nice, rooms basic but clean. Staff Nice. Good breakfast. Great location in Old Town around 5 mins walk from Old Town Square.
Our booking said we had a Superior room but our room in fact was basic with 3 single beds, when I queried this at reception, I was told that all the rooms are the same, so no Superior rooms in hotel so reception sent a maid to our room to push two of the beds together, which we could have done ourselves. Didn't spoil our stay but was just a little disappointed.

Utter Disappointment!

If you need to park your car, forget about getting a decent price for parking anywhere in the Old Town, where this hotel is situated. The worst of all was the noise from the street with drunks shouting and the trash collection (around midnight) with an extremely loud engine! To top it off, there was a bell going off every hour even at night. If you care about a good night's rest after a long day exploring the city, skip this hotel. I'd pretty much pay more and stay elsewhere if I had known the 3 nights I stayed would make me sleep deprived.

Hotel was fine. No parking nearby. The old town has many historic sites but if you want to see a particular site get there early and do your wandering later. We got into the palace immediately o arrival. Those who arrived after noon were in line for up to an hour to get in and Disney quality lines inside.

Hotel is conveniently located in the Old Town.
Breakfast was pretty good.
Reception service was not the best. Furthermore, we asked for a cab to take us to the bus station. The cab arrived late and he asked for 500 kronas (for just 6 blocks!). Smelling that something wasn't right, we decided to just walk to the bus station. Here, the hotel should have been more diligent and call a more reputable & bona fide cab operator.

Hotel served its purpose

I went out on a stag weekend so I was not looking for a 5 star hotel. First impressions when checking in was that the man behind the desk was very moody. Second was the damp on the hidden behind the curtain. Single bed was fine I only slept in it for 3-4 at a time. Breakfast was basic and the plates that are smaller than your hand was a joke. Breakfast staff was as good as gold & house keeping. Location wise it was good walking distance to everything.

Location advantages and disadvantages

The hotel is in a great location for seeing the sights of Prague.
The location is a disadvantage for getting any sleep it is on the route of the pub crawls where crowds of 100 young people go by at all hours making a lot of noise. Closing the double windows does keep out most of the noise but if you like fresh air.

Great location, very comfortable stay

The hotel was in great shape and the room was very comfortable. The included breakfast was very nice and there is also a small bar in the hotel. Can't beat the location - a short walk to everywhere. Plus just up the street is a grocery store and mall so ample opportunity for shopping. There are a few restaurants close by and many more a short walk away. If you are willing to walk it's very easy to get the bridge and Castle area, makes for a fun day. And it's a city truly experienced best by walking through it and taking it all in.

Walking distance to all major sight seeing area, near to metro and large department store, hotel clean and has double glazing so the outside city noises do not disturb you. staff helpful giving directions and recommending tours.

Only negative is that the tub is very deep and there is no hand bar to assist entering and exiting. As a \"mature' woman with short legs, I was glad my husband could help. Your free continental breakfast was great, but we had the complete one and thought it was a good value..no lunch needed!

Only real pro is the location

I recently stayed at this hotel , the location was perfect close to most tourist attractions and in old town. Other than that , the hotel had nothing good to offer. The rooms were outdated, the lights flickered, and breakfast had few selections. The entire hotel only had one iron press , rooms did not even have a mini fridge and there was no room service . All in all I would not stay at this hotel again nor would I recommend it .

Location, quality, price

Central Hotel Prague has excellent location - 3 min walk from Powder Tower and 5-7min walk from central square. So, location was excellent. The room had 2 queen beds (even though we needed just one), safe(which you do not see in all the hotels in Europe), large bathroom with full bath. Clean, bright, spacious. Refrigerator in the room. Breakfast was included in the price and was all worth it. Decent selection of breads, cereals, coffee, i.e. continental breakfast European style. I would recommend this hotel to others and would stay there as well. If you want location closer to hip and party areas, then you might want to stay closer to the train station which is few metro stops away or 30min walk. If you plan to drag your luggage to the hotel, then it would be detrimental to the luggage wheels - virtually all Prague's streets are paved with cobblestone.

Good price for a nice, clean hotel

The hotel is in an excellent location, not far from the old town square so able to walk to most places and if you would prefer there's an underground station less than 5 mins walk away. We had a room for 3-4 people, which was a good size, bathroom was lovely. Room was clean and quiet. There was a good choice of food on the breakfast buffet although my only complaint would be that all the dishes were still warm so food that is meant to be cold ended up warm as soon as I put it on my plate/bowl. Friendliness of staff was average but from the friendliness of the staff in all places I visited in Prague this seemed to be the norm. We often stayed out til 11pm-midnight and didn't feel unsafe at all walking back to the hotel.

No frills hotel in perfect location

This hotel was recommended to us by a friend who had stayed there several years ago. We booked via Expedia at a very reasonable price.
Our room was on the first floor facing the street. It offered clean, comfortable accommodation with TV but no tea/coffee making facilities or a/c. The mattresses are rather hard and the shower tray needs replacing, but otherwise the room is well decorated.

The view out of the room is slightly marred by graffiti on the wall opposite, but this cannot be helped, The windows are double glazed so there is little noise unless the windows are open, when occasional passers by or revellers in the nearby square may be heard. Other than that the room was extremely quiet & it was hard to believe there were many other guests.

The staff on reception were so friendly and helpful, and the self service breakfast offered a very good choice.

The location of the hotel was perfect for exploring all Prague has to offer in terms of shopping, attractions, bars and restaurants. It was very easy to find.

I would thoroughly recommend the Central Hotel as an ideal base for visiting Prague.

Enjoyed a 3 night stay here. Just 2 minute walk from Old Town Square. We had a 3-bed room for 2 of us. En suite was very good. All clean. Lots of things to choose from for breakfast, though only a single 2-slice toaster. Only a little fresh fruit is put out. Ask for some if there is none there. Staff were nice. Lady at reception during day was very pleasant and friendly.

Excellent location for enjoying Old Town

The hotel is no frills but does have free breakfast and wifi. We stayed and took a quick trip to Berlin and then returned. Upon returning the staff treated us as valued guests and we got great rooms on the 6th floor. Petra, Daniela and Havla (not sure I got all the spellings right) were delightful and made the stay that much better. Top notch client service. The location can be quite loud with many young people partying well into the wee hours of the morning at the clubs nearby but all in all an exceptional value for the room price. Would definitely stay again.

We are a fit and active middle aged couple and we could walk to all the main sites of interest within the city centre. The hotel is clean and value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful. There is no hotel parking on site, but a couple of secure options either at a garage arranged through the hotel or in an underground car park nearby. Breakfast was average in quality, choice and amount.
