The staff member who checked us in was incredibly professional and helpful. Apart from that we never saw another staff member. The room was large and spacious, however the two single duvets on the bed were very small. The bathroom was clean apart from the shower which had some black mould in the corners and the drain was very blocked so the water did not drain whilst the shower was in use. The location was excellent; a very short walk to the old town square.

Not quite 4 star property - our room had all shower gel bottles empty on arrival and after requesting as part of the clean on day 2. The rooms had quite a bit of dust in them but overall was a great size for us 3. Did find the set up a bit odd as we chose this property as it had 24 hour desk though that’s only actually from 11-4 (unless you’re checking in or checking out at a different time then they will be there). The coffee machine was broken. Plus, the image of the cool top level and bottom level underground looking dining area didn’t exist (or at least we never saw or was shown it on our stay). Breakfast was very standard. Despite this, it was a great location and when the staff were there, they were friendly. Though I would argue that this is a good 3 star hotel and ideal if you want easy access to the old town.

Beautiful historic building situated in a quiet corner of the Old Town within easy reach of all the amenities. Very clean and comfortable, excellent service from the helpful manager.
Only downside for us was the breakfast, which is served in the adjoining hotel. A very good offering but only until 9.00am!

The hotel was perfect for location! We walked everywhere. The room was large, clean and had plenty of storage for the 2 of us. The only thing we felt could be improved on was breakfast. We stayed for 4 night and every morning the food was cold, this would include sausages and bacon. However, we did have dinner on the first night and the pizza was beautiful! Overall, we would recommend this hotel.

This isn't a four star hotel. Far from it. The breakfast is maybe the worst i have encountered and the superior room with a city view - i have attached a pic.
Staff couldn't care less. Location however is good but the stairs will kill you (no lift).
There are much better hotels close by. At better rates.

This is effectively the annex to the Metamorphosis hotel, as they administer it. Nice rooms in a great location. The breakfast is a treat as one goes down two floors into an ancient cellar. The restaurant Ungelt, just outside the door is excellent!
I would definitely go back.

It was in a great location. Hard to find where to check in. We didn’t have any working WiFi in our room despite multiple efforts. Day shift desk person seemed very annoyed by any questions asked as they only manage the check in process. Room was big. Good air conditioner! But we warned LOTS of stairs to get to the room! No elevator.

Perfect old town position, top of the range comfort, fabulous coffee great breakfast ..and quiet too !
Only thing that lets it down is the front of house advice which was terrible! We asked for a good restaurant nearby and got sent to a place which had really bad food and appalling service .They could have seen all the criticism on Tripadvisor but we relied on Ivan and he was Terrible!
His successors at the desk gave us no help as to concerts ,which we found for ourselves ;and told us a taxi to the train station would cost twice what it had cost on arrival ..so we walked!Internet impossible to connect with

I read before that it would either be 3 star or 5 star and couldn’t agree more. The hotel was beautiful and ideally located, very good value for money considering. The staff from the hotel were very friendly and helpful, including Peter who checked us in and gave us a few recommendations. The safe in the room locked us out ten minutes before check out (not ideal!) but we were in within minutes. Breakfast is in a different building however while we thought this added to the quirkiness of the hotel it really isn’t worth getting up for, if you can afford to, skip it and look for a local cafe, we did this and it was a far nicer experience.

Overall the only real complaint that we had was the beds, while extremely comfortable, were literally two double beds pushed together, with two separate single duvets and one large blanket but this was easily got around, with aspects like the underfloor heating in the bathroom we didn’t really need the blanket, but the bed situation could have been better.

All in all a very nice place and wonderful trip, very good value for money. If you have the time pop into Choco cafe. Bar and Books also an experience - just moments from the hotel.

A wonderful experience! A spacious, comfortable room in a building located in the Medieval Old Town center within short walking distance of the Astronomical Clock, Charles Bridge, museums, galleries, and many restaurants and pubs. A reception desk open 24 hours with helpful and efficient staff and a daily breakfast with many options. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great location but be prepared for steps!

Only 6 rooms in this part of the hotel, two on each floor but the rooms are large, well equipped and comfortable. Be prepared for a good few steps though if you are on the top floor as we were - no lift!

The location is perfect, right in the heart of the city (3 minutes walk to Old Town Square) but we heard no overnight noise in the courtyard area where it is located. Having said that, it was a weekday stay rather than weekend so it is possible that it may be a bit noisier then perhaps?

The buffet breakfast is served in the attractive basement of the restaurant next door and had a very good choice on offer but be prepared again for more steps! Our only gripe was that we could not get the WiFi to connect reliably and despite reporting it, the problem did not go away. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and would go back again.

This hotel is in a fabulous location for the main attractions in Prague, it is in the centre of the Old Town. It is quirky in that it is spread over several buildings however all are in the same little square. It was almost perfect except I want a good wifi and the wifi was flaky and even went off completely for a whole day. I specifically look for wifi so I was very disappointed with this. Otherwise, this is a great value well-located hotel, Clean, generous room but it is an old building however, the bathroom was very modern.

Nice hotel and staff but music in the night

The hotel was very nice, the bed comfortable and the staff service-minded. Breakfast buffet in a nearby café with lots of different things to choose from. The only reason why I'm rating the entire experience with just a \"3\", was that the bar or the restaurant in the same building was playing music so loud it could have been in the same room. Normally I wouldn't be able to sleep, but I had found fantastic earplugs that helped me. Therefore, we didn't complain to the reception. I did tell them when we left, and they told us that they've tried to do something about it but it was hard to make the bar/restaurant to understand. So all-in-all, if you are a light sleeper, don't book the room on the first floor in the Tyn building.

Great location - sadly very noisy

Tyn Yard is in the centre of the old town and within a court yard of several hotels, restaurants and bars. The location is ideal for exploring Prague. I was given a large room, well appointed with an excellent bath room. The wifi was fast. The breakfast buffet in an adjoining Italian restaurant was quite adequate. There were two factors, which annoyed me greatly. The TV system had 3 remote controls with no instructions as to how to use them. I failed to get the TV running. I do not travel to watch TV but would have liked to see the news and weather forecast. The second and more important downside was the incredible noise around the hotel. As it seems secluded, I expected it to be quiet at night and some feedback indicated this. However, there are bars in the immediate vicinity where head banging music is played at max volume until 2 a.m. and when the bar guests spill out at closing time, they shout around for another hour. Then the businesses in the court yard tidy up noisily in the early hours with all the noise reverberating around the enclosed yard. As if this were not enough, there are 4 churches close by and they ring out the hours all night through. This makes sleeping with an open window impossible. Sleep quality is so poor that I would not book this hotel again. Staff were friendly but could not help with the TV.

Superb old building, wonderfully preserved

The buidling is old but beautifully preserved. The vintage environment takes you back in time and provides you with a proper Prague experience. At the same time, the room was huge and very clean. The check-in and check-out were very quick and the staff was welcoming and helpful. We would like to particularly thank Prokop and Jan who were professional and warm at the same time.

It is a bit difficult to find the hotel because it doesn't have its own reception. You should go to Metamorphis Hotel located closer from the hotel.
And the room was broad enough, clean enough and you can also drink coffees anytime.

A nice hotel but not sure I'd stay again

A nice, cozy hotel in the heart of Prague. The room was really big and the bathroom was modern and well equipped. The only downside was that our room was on the third floor of a walk-up building, which can get tiring over time. The place was really hard to find as it's located on a courtyard.

Breakfast was good with decent selections for vegetarians as well.

What I wasn't crazy about was staying on the top floor of an old building with lots of wood construction and absolutely no apparent fire escapes.

This is a quaint little hotel just steps from Old Town Square. The building is beautiful and the rooms are unique. There are many stairs and no elevator, though. This is part of the charm, but may be hard if you are disabled or unable to walk up to your room. I would highly recommend staying here.

Peaceful comfort in the heart of Prague's Old Town

The hotel seems to be spread across several buildings in the Ungelt courtyard, so Reception was across from the lovely old building where our bedroom was located, and for the breakfast buffet (very busy every day) you had to go to the Va Bene restaurant, a couple of doors along. We were on the second floor and not really aware of guests in the other rooms, so it all felt very quiet and private, and not too noisy at night, despite restaurants and the Town Square close by. The room was clean and spacious, with big comfortable beds, a table and armchair (a second one would have been helpful in a double room) and the usual safe, tv, minibar and kettle. Tea was supplied, but mostly herbal and there was no milk, so we had to buy some ordinary tea and milk from a nearby supermarket to have tea. No coffee, but there was a free coffee machine on the landing below, so not a problem. The bathroom was well-appointed with an excellent shower, although the automatic extractor fan that came on with the lights made it a bit on the cold side and seemed a bit unnecessary as there was a window for ventilation. Hotel is well-placed for Old Town, castle and Jewish Quarter, and for walking to other, less crowded parts of Prague.

1- This is NOT a hotel, Tyn Yard is just a place where you rent rooms
2- Tyn Yard is located just above Green Devils Cafe, where the sell Absinthe alcohol, this is definitively not mentioned on the web site, most of the picture have been modified, it means the rooms especially the one (supposed to be the best) just above noisy bar till 1 or 2 in the morning
3- it smells alcohol all over the place, especially at reception but also in the rooms.
4- we have been stolen by the hotel of 1200 TCrown (48 €) : I booked for breakfast I could never get
4- receptionist disappears during all our stay (4 days) after giving the key, he confirmed his phone number but never reply to my message
5- breakfast : Tyn DOES NOT SERVE any breakfast, you need to walk to a bar called Bond Cafe, Tyn will give you a voucher of 300 TCrown. The issue is the bar was closed sunday and monday morning, many people were waiting outside, and on the first day, I went for my breakfast (saturday) I discover that for 300 TCrown I was able to afford bread, coffee and a glass of orange juice, unless adding extra at my own cost, at the end of the day if you are willing to eat a decent breakfast, you need to spend at least 300 T Crown more
5- room : large, nice looking however not clean, amazing quantity of dust under the beds and around, beside it the bathroom was in poor condition : electric wires just lying on the floor, shower broken...

Great Location, in the city center, hence a bit loud at nights and in the mornings cause the cleaning services under the windows start cleaning the streets at 5/6 am..
the rooms are great.
The reception is not always open but the staff is always in whatsapp to contact if anything is necessary.
The breakfast is in the Bond Cafe, the dishes are tasty but 300czk as a voicher per person is not enought to get drinks, only food. And although ive paid for breakfast, i still needed to pay extra for drinks. That was not a good experience.
the hotel itsels is a historical building, nice and cosy.

In meno di 2 minuti a piedi si raggiunge la piazza dell’orologio.
Nei pressi della struttura ci sono diversi ristoranti, locali e negozietti di souvenir.
Camera bellissima, pulitissima e molto calda.
Il bagno disponde di vasca, doccia e bidet (che per noi italiani è un “must”).
Pavel, il manager, è una persona disponibilissima e molto cordiale.

All’arrivo ti manda un sms con tutte le istruzioni, alcune attrazioni e dei locali consigliati.

L’unico neo è che nella descrizione del servizio proposto era specificato Colazione a Buffet, mentre la colazione consisteva in un buono di 250 corone da utilizzare in un locale vicino dove non c’era affatto un buffet e la cifra non copre per intero la consumazione!

I thought Tyn Residence was a lovely place to stay, the baby bed was perfect. The only thing to keep in mind is breakfast starts at 9am, that with a young child is not comfortable as they usually wake up much earlier. Besides that, we would definetly return.

Trotz zentrale Lage, sehr ruhiges Zimmer. Hotelpersonal war sehr nett und freundlich. Gerne wieder kommen!

Уютный отель в сердце Праги

Хоть и омрачил мой отдых растяжение ноги и гипс,но сотрудники отеля сделали всё,чтобы прибывание наше было комфортным!Номера чистые ,приносили завтрак в номер,номера очень большие,хорошая звукоизоляция!Расположение отеля замечательное в самом центре у Старомесской площади,но при этом дворик тихий и нет толпы народу!

La ubicación y que tenían máquina de café gratis y no me gusto que se publicita como hotel y no lo es solo tiene 6 habitaciones y si tienes algún problema tienes que dirigirte al personal de recepcion del otro hotel que no es de la cadena le alquilan la habitación y no me gusto nada que mi hija tiro una Coca Cola al suelo y lo limpie con las toallas para que mi hija no se resbalara y pretendían cobrarme 16 euros porque según ellos las estropeé si hubieran tenido servicio de limpieza como en un hotel esto no hubiera pasado

Mysigt mitt i stan

Jättefint hotell som låg på ett mysigt torg mitt i Prag.
Rummet var stort och fint. Lite märkligt att behöva äta frukosten i en annan byggnad.
Vi bor där gärna igen!

Die Unterkunft lag mitten in der Stadt, was sehr praktisch ist. Die Rezeption und das Hotel zu finden war etwas schwierig. Der Service war top. Das Frühstück im Nachbarrestaurant war in einem schönen Ambiente, aber das Frühstück an sich war nix besonderes und hat somit keinen bleiben Eindruck hinterlassen.
