Begore you book thos hotel check your arival because they have check in at 3 pm and for every hour you want the room they will charge you 20 eur. This info is not anywhere so pay atention.
Room was kind of old
But perfect location.
Its very turistic hotel they dont treat you there like you feel welcome. There is ukrainian woman at the reception that is mean on the phone or personaly.
For the same price you find other hotels around.

Lovely Oldie Worldie Hotel, wood everywhere. It’s so central, easy access to everything you need. Be aware that it’s become ‘Insta Famous’ due to the lovely roof terrace so it can be very busy. We loved it, room was a little small and very warm. All this being said we loved it,

Hotel U Prince Prague is wonderfully located right on Old Town Square, offering incredible walkability and views. You’re literally steps from the Prague Astronomical Clock, and we stayed around Christmas time, when the Christmas market was set up right outside the hotel—an absolutely magical atmosphere. Dining options are everywhere, and the energy of the square is hard to beat.

One important thing to note is access: taxis cannot drive directly to the hotel due to Old Town restrictions, so you’ll need to walk about half a block with your luggage from the nearest drop-off point. Not a deal-breaker, but something to be aware of if you’re traveling with heavy suitcases.

The rooms are charming, clean, and full of character. The hotel décor is eclectic, fun, and thoughtfully done. The staff was lovely and welcoming.

For a four-star hotel, complimentary water should really be provided. There was none in the room, and purchasing water nearby was surprisingly expensive—around $5 a bottle, very much airport pricing. I would recommend avoiding the small convenience shops in the immediate area, which are extremely overpriced and clearly geared toward tourists.

The hotel restaurant looked lively, clean, and inviting. We only had a light snack and didn’t fully explore the food offerings, but it appeared very nice.

Beautiful hotel but right off the extremely busy main square. Drunken, bar patrons were literally howling in the streets outside our windows most nights till 4am. They also only have one elevator and that is also used to access their very popular rooftop bar. Most times it was faster to walk up to our fifth floor room than to stand in line for the elevator.

We loved being in the heart of Old Town Square just steps from the Astronomical Clock. Our room even had a darling balcony where we could look at the tower and listen to the chimes! We spent an evening in with drinks at Black Angel’s - the best cocktails! - followed by dinner on the glorious rooftop terrace. Prague is already magical, but our stay at the Hotel U Prince made our trip even more memorable!

I chose this hot based on reviews I read of how friendly and welcoming the hotel staff were.
This was not the case.
They were very rude, not at all helpful and gave us the wrong time for our breakfast.
When I raised this, they didn’t come up with a solution or suggestion.
They claimed we had it written down on welcome card in the room.
We didn’t receive this so we had nothing to refer to.
We therefore missed out on breakfast and had to pay for brunch in the hotel.
we waited 35 mins to collect our bags for our return flight as the reception was overwhelmed by new guests.
No sense of organisation, total chaos , lack of staff around to help. We nearly missed our flight.

The hotel itself is stunning,
However the staff were very poor.
Felt very let down. And sadly won’t return to this hotel.

U Prince is a distaster
Was crelebrating my 50th bday through Europe and ended in Prague with the thought that staying at the U Prince would be the highlight of my trip but instead it was a total nightmare. U Prince is advertised as a 5 star Hotel but its really a 3 star at best. The staff look like they were in Hell most of the time and dont want to be bothered with you. They falsely advertise with a Junior Suite with grand pictures that are probably the most uncomfortable room ever... small bathroom, and tiny space. The ultimate point of anger and frustration was with Client relations person named Barbara which I dont understand why they keep her around since she clearly lacks any sense of client relations and when I asked her to see her manager due to her dismissiveness.. she simply said I cant call him \"unless she had a valid reason to\". She begrudgling switched me to a room that was almost the same dimensions.. and by that point I had to make a decision of either checking out and adding to my frustration or staying.

At check out please check your bill because U Prince, inserted multiple tips and charge you for items from the minibar that you never used.

Prepare yourself to share the hotel with the entire Old Town tourists that want to take Instagram pictures on the Terrace which always closed early and makes it impossible to take the elevator to your room.

Breakfast was included but was cold most of the time and only had one person working which made it easy to run

Our room 41 was HORRIBLE because it was right under the rooftop terrace. I paid extra for deluxe NOISE!!! Not only was it loud during opening hours, but also in the early morning hours of 6-8am when they were moving tables?!? Staff could also have been friendlier (except Barbara (who was friendly)). Would NOT stay here again!

The property is quaint and very well positioned. I found some staff friendly while others dismissive. It is unfortunately an influencer’s hot spot as they arrive in droves to go to the terrace on the 4th floor for the view of the square. This means the lift is often hard to access and frankly annoying being around the influencer set all day. The bar at the bottom is historical and comes with a wonderful backstory. Unfortunately they play 80’s top ten hits which ruins the ambience of a 1920’s speak easy. Bizarre! Nonetheless an interesting and central place to stay.

Although we have stayed in several Bauer hotels and do love them, we were disappointed here. We had to change rooms due to noise, air conditioning not working and being directly across from the stairs to the terrace bar. We couldn’t leave our windows or curtains open due to a constant flow of people outside the window. But the thing that will keep us from staying at this particular location again is, the terrace bar. It is very popular because of the view. It was wonderful. But for hotel guests it made it nearly impossible to get to our room using the elevator in a timely manner. We had to use the stairs most times. When we were on the 4th floor we had to wait in line behind 2-3 elevator loads of bar people. When we checked in it was made clear that if we wanted to go into the basement bar, we could not wear tennis shoes. So we didn’t go because all we brought for this walkable city vacation, was tennis shoes. Funny, because we saw plenty of people go down to that bar in tennis shoes. We were offended from check in that they would tell us that. We’ve stayed at the Iron Gate and were never told things like that. They have a beautiful bar and restaurant and no one ever made us feel like we were not inappropriately dressed because we were wearing our $250 tennis shoes.

Nice place if you are in to very old antique style places. Right in the middle of old town square. If you like more modern places then, this is not the place for you. I recommend going to the bar in the hotel for the service was amazing. Shout out to Harry, Blue, Liza, Quinn, and rest of the bar staff. Awesome crew.

Fabulous located hotel full of charm

Our fourth stay in Prague this is ideally located in the main square of the old town. The hotel has great charm and attention to detail. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped. There is a fabulous cellar cocktail bar and rooftop terrace for drinks or breakfast (not included). Exceptional stay and good value. The only drawback is the clock 'chimes' every hour, throughout the night.

This hotel was right in the center of the main square. It was a very busy area. This had both advantages and disadvantages. It was pretty noisy at night and 2 of the 3 rooms we rented had broken AC. Our room was nice and cool thankfully. We also enjoyed the rooftop terrace. The staff was ok, not super helpful or friendly. As we were checking out, a man that carried our luggage down asked me to give them a review and then proceeded to take my phone to make sure I gave them 5 stars. This was not ok. However, since we were on our way to the airport I couldn't do anything at the time. Overall I think it's a good hotel and the rooms are nice. If you're looking for something right in the middle of the action, this is it.

Amazing hotel and centrally located

This hotel was so beautiful inside and out. The restaurant didn't have air conditioning but has a great outdoor patio on the ground floor that is lovely. The rooms are amazing and reasonably priced. And air conditioned! Did not love the restaurant on the rooftop. Beautiful views and food is okay, but the restaurant hostess was judgmental as we were not dressed like \"influencers\" since we were staying at the hotel.

I really wish that I could give this hotel a 10. It is a beautiful hotel—lovely décor in the hallways and room, flowers, great bathroom with nice shampoos and lotion and a face cloth, comfortable bed, robes and slippers, nice terrace and plaza restaurants. Fabulous location. However, we had no WIFI. First, I was told that so many people in the bar and restaurants were using it that it was overloaded. But when I couldn’t sleep at 4 in the morning and wanted to read from my phone so that I didn’t wake my husband, there still wasn’t WIFI. We had to go to reception to download maps and I had some work e-mails that I needed to respond to. The 3 people that I spoke with in reception were not even apologetic.

An excellent location in the heart of everything. This is both a blessing and a challenge. One elevator in constant use, mostly by those going to the bars or Terrance. Most aren’t hotel guests.
The two restaurants serve good food. The location directly across from the astronomical clock means lots of nearby traffic.
Our room ac did not work the entire 4 days there. On the third day someone brought us a fan, which helped —-some. If going during a heat wave demand proof the Carrier wall unit works.
The location is near everything in Old Town.

Wonderful space in the center of Old Town

We really enjoyed our stay dispite the room being right next to the line of guests waiting for a rooftop restaurant table. Because we were jet lagged and couldn’t sleep with the noise outside the hotel changed (and upgraded) our room. This was wonderful and we slept very well. Staff were friendly and had great recommendations for dining- don’t miss The Deer!

The Hotel is old and not accessible by car, valley is very expensive and you need to carry luggage for long distance.
Also I booked the hotel for 3 Days and realized can’t stay the last (3rd) day but they refuse to credit me although it was 48 hr notice!?

A beautiful hotel in a beautiful city

Stayed in a Junior Suite and it was breathtaking, the decor, the building itself, the view! This hotel is right on the Old Town Square pretty much opposite the Astronomical Clock. A great base, comfortably walked to all the main landmarks within 30 mins and most within 20.
Incredibly clean and the staff all very welcoming and helpful. Made use of the round trip taxi service which was perfect, drivers were pleasant and on time, no issues whatsoever.
Food at breakfast was fantastic with a good selection, there was fresh fruit, continental meats, granolas, cooked breakfast, and pastries and cakes - we tried almost all of it and all so tasty.
We had some panels in the parquet flooring in our room missing, only small and not enough to mar the room at all.
Hotel was incredibly warm in all areas both the rooms and shared spaces such as corridors and restaurants.
Both the Terasa and the Black Angel’s bar were worth a visit, very good indeed.

The room was large and there was a good selection of hot and cold choices for breakfast. My only complaint was the Internet was intermittent or non existent in our room on the 3rd floor , I did raise this with the reception but they were unable to solve the problem

I always like U Prince . Its has a very romantic charm. Its nestled in a area of old town Prague which is a favorite of mine. I knew i made the right choice when I pick this place. With all good things about this place, it has one fault and not by their making. I have stayed in the Grande Suite and the Junior Suite. Very nice however, they share the same affliction. The people in the rooms above you have no concern in how much noise they cause. Both of my visits have been marred by this. Moving furniture , loud voices, and occasional running in their rooms is amplied in your room. You speak to hotel staff and they tty to ask persons to be quieter but to no avail. Language barriers come into play. Hotel U Prince is wonderful but there arethings beyond their control and this should not affect you choosing this gem

It is a wonderful hotel with friendly and attentive staff. My only complain is completely misleading photos for Junior Suite (room #22). The description does not mention that windows in the room open to an inner hallway above the reception (I expect windows to face outside). It is a very tiny room with a loft for a king bedroom. This makes the very low ceiling above the bed. Our room didn't have any stone walls that look so appealing on the photos. At night registration clerk at front desk just under our \"windows\" spoke very loud. I had to step outside and kindly ask him to lower his voice. Overall very nice hotel. I definitely recommend with a word of caution about the room.

This property does not disappoint!! We were lucky enough to reserve a suite and it had the hotel's only balcony!!! The view of the Christmas Market, astronomical clock and churches were amazing! Just wish it had been a little warmer to enjoy the balcony more but as least we had a place to put our drinks to get them cold! Beautiful hotel that is worth staying at - we hope to return one day!!

The location could not be better being basically in front of the astronomical clock. Wonderful view looking over Old Town Square and the clock. Very walkable to anywhere. But it can be loud from the restaurants around, even late at night. I'd recommend bringing ear plugs or a travel/mini white noise machine.
The rooms are clean and very spacious, and the styling goes well with the area. The breakfast was really good and well worth it.
The elevators can get busy with people going to the rooftop bar/restaurant. If you're on the 1st floor (reception) you have to go down the stairs to the street level to get the elevator to go up.
Overall it was very good and I'd definitely stay there again.

Lovely hotel and room

Lovely hotel and hotel room, the room was very large and the bed was really comfy. It was close to everything we wanted to do and see and we enjoyed the restaurants and bars on site as well!

I chose this hotel because of it's location in the Old Town of Prague and it's proximity to the Astrological Clock. The hotel is old and quaint but extremely well maintained with updated facilities. The roof top restaurant has great views of the old town, the Charles Bridge and the Castle. Our real treat was going down to the Black Angle in the cellar! I've traveled all over the world over the years and this is absolutely the best bar I've ever been in. The bar tenders are real artists! The hotel also a great outside restaurant where we ate lunch each day and also just to have drinks and watch people.

The hotel is right in the centre, 100 yards from the astronomical clock, so very well positioned. Reception is on the first floor. The lift is very slow at times. We were on the 4th floor and our room was pleasantly decorated and large. Staff are pleasant, but didn't go out of their way to make it a memorable experience in any way - considering they had been informed prior to our arrival that we were both celebrating big birthdays and a wedding anniversary! We only ate in
on the evening of our anniversary in the rooftop restaurant. So disappointed - I wouldn't go back!

We loved the hotel and our room was quaint. There were problems with the bathtub and shower. The guard didn’t work and water flooded the Lou. I sopped up as much as I could hoping it wouldn’t seep into the room below. Needs a better design. We had trouble finding outlets to charge our phones and the lighting was minimal. Loved the decor and the the hotel was so convenient!

Great hotel. Right in old town square. Rooftop terrace is beautiful. 30 min from the airport. Large suite was 1100 sq ft and amazing. Overlooking astronomical clock.

Waiter in the restaurant was so disrespectful. I was give 2 complimentary drinks but they treat us like we are there just for there for those drinks ant treat us like trash

I absolutely loved our stay in this hotel. We stayed there twice. Room 21 is Amazing! Photo worthy. It has a separate sort of living room, separate from the king bed bedroom. We also stayed in a more traditional room (34) the only catch was that the minisplit could not keep up with the high temperatures, so we were hot every night. We were able to open the windows one night, but it looks over the busiest square in town (beautiful view!), so that means loud people, music, etc on Friday, Saturdays. Aside from the suboptimal ac,
this hotel is amazing. The rooftop restaurant is worth going even if you are not staying in the hotel, just for the view, and the bar is a prohibition era bar in the basement that has An amazing vibe!

It’s a great property. Be aware it is in the middle of the most popular tourist area and therefore can have some noise outside in the night. We found the convenience outweighed the noise, but others might not. People with mobility issues could have difficulty in some rooms too. Call and confirm your placement if you have issues.
