What a quaint, perfectly located hotel. We really enjoyed our stay here. It was so charming! The room was perfectly sized. The bathroom was awesome. The mini fridge, although unused, was a great addition. The coffee machine was great. The reception desk next store was so welcoming! The safety features of the hotel were great. We appreciated the offer for hotel transport and the driver from the train station was great. We were dissapointed that the driver to to take us to the airport at 345 am did not show, but i also didn't confirm prior and was able to easily find a driver through BOLT. Be prepared to carry up your luggage to the top floor! It was fine, we didn't mind considering the awesome location and great hotel!!! We would definately recommend this hotel!!

The Black Star Suites is right off of a busy street and just a few minutes walk to Charles Bridge. It is convenient to walk to sights, or take transit or a taxi.

Great location: 3 minute walk to Charles Bridge and 5 minute walk to the main Christmas Market. Accommodations were good and plenty of space. One downside is there is no elevator, so you don’t want to carry heavy luggage up the stairs. Staff was excellent and very responsive.

Clean room, staff very friendly and helpful, amazing location. Please note, check-in is at the hotel next door ( I believe it’s called Hotel Contessa). Also, the Black Star Restaurant has very good food at a reasonable price. Especially the spaghetti, pork lion, salad special.

We stayed in a Junior Suite at Black Star Suites and absolutely loved it. The medieval décor perfectly matches the atmosphere of Prague. The room was spacious, spotless, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. There was also a fully stocked fridge offering wine, beer, soft drinks, and snacks, which was a very convenient addition.
The hotel is in an excellent location, within walking distance of all major sightseeing attractions, and very close to shops, trams, and the underground. Housekeeping visited daily, providing fresh towels, replenishing coffee and tea supplies, and making the beds.
The reception team, especially Romana and Alice, were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic.

It was a splendid visit and stay at the hotel. We slept 3 nights. Bed was good, the room have big table and 2 big armchairs, well ventilated, good natural ilumination. This is a wonderful little boutique hotel with lovely staff. Super convenient to get to the center of town. We enjoyed walking everywhere. The first floor where our room was is above a couple metal doors that slam all night, and a restaurant therefore we did not get a good sleep. Thankfully the city tends to get a late start in the morning so we were able to sleep in a bit to make up for the noise.

The layout of the room was perfect for our family of five, and the location is hard to beat. Staff was awesome. The only reason I have to knock the rating down a bit was because we didn't have heat or hot water our first night (New Year's Eve). Given the really high cost of the first night it's hard to stomach the fact that we couldn't run a better and couldn't shower for the first 24 hours we had the room. Again, staff was friendly but it took a while to get fixed and is a bit unacceptable when the night cost over $800 for New Years Eve.

I was welcomed with a smile and lots of kindness even though my flight was seriously delayed. Shown to my room and made sure I had evening I needed. Had great recs and when I saw her out and about later she was sure to say hi and introduce me to her friends. I needed to leave some things behind to lessen my pack weight and they took them and assured me they'd be donated.
The location was GREAT and as a solo female traveler, I never felt unsafe coming and going, even really late at night.

Traditional Property in Old town central location - The rooms are Vaulted with traditional lighting so if you're after an authentic \"Prague\" stay then this is probably a good choice - I found the rooms dimmly lit - due to the traditional lighting - also the room I had had very low doors which my head didn't agree with and are a little rough around the edges - probably say 3 star rather than 4 - but good value for money in the old town - don't pick if after a well lit \"normal hotel room\"

All I can say is you would not be disappointed if you stayed here. We stayed for 4 nights with my Daughter and felt totally at home. The location couldn't be better if you placed it personally, but yet still quiet enough to feel like you are set back away from things. 2 floor accommodation, great reception on arriving. I enjoyed my stay at this property very much. The location was amazing. The room was much bigger than I thought it would be. I would like to note that it was very noisy due to its location, but I was aware of this before booking, and in my experience, usually the more centrally located hotels, which is what I prefer, tend to be more noisy at night. I used earplugs, but other than that, I enjoyed my stay very much. And would stay here again.

The place is in the perfect location. You will stay in an authentic ancient building built AC 1300 and rebuilt in AC 1500 year. Big bad and big room. Very close to attractive points but in a very silent street. We were happy and I would stay again in the same room. (Room 11)

We stayed in 31, the top floor, the apartment was lovely, rustic, and they have kept it true to the old style it would of been.
But with amenities, air con etc, not that we needed it.
The receptionists are lovely, and will let you store your luggage if you arrive early, or if you need to leave it there before you leave for the airport etc.
There is free coffee Nespresso pods each day, and tea.
The rooms are spacious, and the bed is comfy. The bath is big, and the water is always hot.
All in all you won't be disappointed.
The only thing I would say is that there is no lift, and there are a lot of steps, but you only go out and come back in once or twice a day so it's not a problem

We had an amazing time at this property! It was beautiful, historic, clean, and quiet. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly - Romana is an angel, and I would stay here again just for her. You couldn't ask for a more centralized location - nearly every single thing we wanted to see was within walking distance. I cannot recommend Hotel Black Star Suites enough! I'll definitely be staying here on my next trip to Prague.

She allowed us to put our luggage in their bf room after checkout which was great help. She also offered us to book our taxi to airport which we did ourselves bcoz we were not sure when we will be back.

I stayed here for a day/night and had a wonderful experience. The room is just as described and pictured. It’s beautiful and fully functional. It has a sitting room and a modern bathroom. The room is very clean, the bed is super comfortable, and the blanket(s) were very warm. I visited during late fall/winter and I was very warm sleeping. The staff is just lovely. They are super friendly and welcoming. I felt safe and taken cared of. The reception is right next door at Hotel Clementin; it’s convenient. The location is excellent—right in the heart of Old Town square where you are minutes away from the Charles Bridge and Wenceslas Square. There are also restaurants all around, many of them open late. This is my second time visiting Prague and I’ve learned that most of the places I wanted to visit are around the Old Town, including the theater, walking on and along the Charles Bridge/river, and eating hummus at Golem Restaurant. Location wise, I think this is one of the best. I would definitely stay here again when I come back to Prague, hopefully soon!

It was literally near everything! The staff was so nice and helpful and let us know where to go and which places were best to eat! Our favorite place to eat was right outside our door, the Irish Times is a must! Would love to stay there again in the future!

on arrival my partner was having a cheeky smoke and the lady on reception came out, grabbed a couple of chairs and table from the restaurant next door and brought us a couple of glasses of prosecco!! lovely lady and super helpful. Only downside was lack of windows in the room, more natural light and fresh air would have been nice and the bathroom did not have a proper shower although the bathroom was huge so no real issue other than getting the floor wet. Would stay again and would highly recommend, room was more than big enough and was cleaned every day. Location wise couldnt have been more central

We are very happy with our stay at Black Star. Our host, Romana, was so nice and helpful, and she even bought our son some chocolate from the local chocolate shop around the street corner.
The hotel building itself was also very interesting in terms of design and history, Romana told us that it is a 700-year old historical building that was converted into a hotel with very spacious apartment suites.
The location of the hotel was also excellent since it is close to all the main attractions, such as the Charles Bridge (on the Vltava River), the Old Town (for the Astronomical Clock), the Klementium Mirror Chapel (for nightly concerts), as well as countless other restaurants and shops.
Even though we only stayed for three nights, it was very memorable for us, and we will surely be staying here again next time we are in Prague.

The location is very well placed in the heart of the town and has easy access to many visual points as well as tram and metro.
There is no A/C or fans (the reception tried to help with one pedestal fan) so during the heat it can be uncomfortable.
