The strength of this guest house is its location. There are main tourist attractions in 5 or 10 minutes walking distance. The price is also reasonable.

Only one problem for me was the bed. The mattress was too cushioned for me. It was almost spongy. I woke up early in the morning with back and waist pain. It took two hours of recovery, which I considered lucky.

Exactly what I was hoping for. Right in the heart of old Prague but on a quiet side street. Window for fresh air, refrigerator in room for snacks and the breakfast was a great start to the day. Very friendly staff. Clean, quiet, cosy. Would definitely come back.

It is close to the town center (astronomical clock) and the Charles bridge. The hotel is like a family run hotel. The staff is very friendly. The room is clean but very basic. my room is in the attic level and I need to take the stairs to the room. The tub is high and it can be a challenge to those who are short. Not sure if the room has AC but it's early May and it is not too warm.

I booked the hotel several months ago and specifically requested a twin room for myself and my adult son. On arrival we were asked to prepay for the 3 night stay. We were only told after we had paid that the room was a double! And no other accommodation was available. I was not contacted before arrival to say no twin rooms were available. The hotel is well located in the old town near the Charles Bridge. There are no parking facilities. The hotel although clean was well worn and could benefit from refurbishment and redecorating. The room was basic with limited facilities. Breakfast was nice but again limited, no hot food apart from toast.

The hotel is basically a home converted to a hotel. Other than proximity to the Prague City Center, nothing whatsoever was good about the place. The rooms were too small. We ran out of hot water for our showers. I stayed here 3 days and struggled to fit my luggage in the small room. The hotel needs serious enovation and rooms need to be remodeled.
Staff was never available to talk at anytime or help with any questions. Most of them had a frown on their faces.
Breakfast was average.

Bathroom was not clean when I arrived. I was put in another room which I stayed in one night. Woke up with bed bug bites. Told the front desk and they reimbursed the 3 other nights I booked. Ironically, the hostel I stayed at was way cleaner than this hotel. And cheaper, too. Do not stay here

Good: location is ultra close to much of the main touristic attractions like Charles bridge and Klementinum Library, there is a restaurant included that I did not get to try
Not so good: The room size was the smallest I have ever stayed in with sloped ceiling and large beam in the middle making it quite closterphobic and always havign to watch your head. And there was some kind of miscommunication with the staff about getting a takeway breakfast as I had mentioned to one staff I had to leave around 4am and the other staff working the night did not know and there was no breakfast prepared.
Overall, for the price and the size of the room, I preferred the other hotel in stayed which was in Mala Strana which was better equipped and in a quieter area but if you want to be close to the nightlife, this hotel's location is excellent.

Nice place to stay

The pension is situated in a very convenient area, just around the corner of Charles Bridge and few block from the Old Square, you can walk to most of the places to visit in the city. The services were very good; the staff was friendly and helped us with everything requested. Breakfast is simple but good. The room was very spacious and clean, the only inconvenience is that is was next to the elevator and the smoking area, so we had other guest talking and spending time next to our window. This was my second time there, and I definitely would go there again.

Good: central location, clean bedroom and bathroom. Actual double bed instead of two singles.

Bad: small, oddly shaped room. Very basic and tired looking. Front door to room so old, didn't feel the safest. Single glazed window meant I could hear noise from the bars outside. Breakfast very average, not the spread I'm used to travelling in Europe. Worst of all however are the thickness of the walls: woken up in the middle of the night by conversations, then kept awake by snoring in the room next door. Never had anything like it! Awful.

Its a nice place in a perfect location. Literally everything is just a step away. The room was bit too small, but the bathroom was spacious.
For the price I think it’s fair. There’s no parking in the street, there’s a garage about 1 km from the place for cca 20 EUR/day. The staff was friendly, they helped us to find the garage. Overall it was positive.

The Pension U Lilie is closer to a hostel than a hotel. The first room I was assigned didn’t feel clean and it was very uncomfortable. The hotel was able to move me to a better room that was comfortable, brighter and cleaner. It’s location is perfect - steps from the Charles Bridge and very near the Old Square so if location is your top priority, this would work for you. I would be looking for something different another time

This hotel is very central to the Charles Bridge and Old Town. The staff were helpful and friendly. The morning breakfast was usual for Europe (cold cuts, cereal, yogurt, coffee, juice etc) enough to get your day started.
I opted for half board which is like bed and breakfast and another meal - you had the choice of lunch or dinner. As a so traveller I enjoyed having dinner in their courtyard
I was on the third floor and it was warm even with a floor fan. The weather in Prague was hot and dry during my stay. Other than that this is a good priced, well located small hotel.

Nice & quiet hotel located within the Old Town!

Hotel staff were nice and friendly. The breakfast was not fantastic but descent with adequate variety of food and drinks. I like the room being so separated from other rooms, feels like our own little unit! The location was perfect, located within the Old Town and the Old Town square was just within 5mins walk!

Close to Charles Bridge, good for a short stay

Being close to Charles Bridge is a big advantage. However, the facilities really need to be improved. As a tall person, I was quite uncomfortable in my room, and did not sleep too well. In terms of sound, the walls are thin and I could here the next door people. In addition, because I was on the highest floor in the pension combined with the fact that it was 85 degrees Fahrenheit in Prague at my time staying, the room was DANGEROUSLY hot!!!! The level of humidity in the rooms is something that the pension should take into consideration as this is a serious safety hazard especially for people with medical conditions. I almost passed out during my last night; the fan/AC that was provided barely need its job and I had to ask the staff for an additional one. I am giving this place three stars because its livable in the short term and is convenient in terms of the location, otherwise it would have been a two.

Very central location but there are pubs/restaurant close by as well as in the Hotel so be aware that there is some noise. That said it didn't cause us any problems. Our room was large but the décor was worn and dated and the furniture was sparse however the bed was comfortable enough and the room was clean, and the broken shower fitting was repaired the same day that I reported it so couldn't fault the service in that respect. Wi-Fi worked in the room ok but don't expect many English speaking tv channels if that's your thing, we only had news channels in English. Elevator only goes to 2nd floor so if you need that make sure to let them know when booking. Buffet breakfast wasn't great, little choice.

Perfect location 3 min. walk from the Chas. Bridge; relatively quiet street, but if your room is on the 2nd or higher floor facing the noisy courtyard, as was mine, that's a problem. The whole place is very tired and needs a through cleaning and spruce up. My room was furnished in Early Thrift Store, not very comfortable nor functional. It wasn't especially clean either, although the bathroom was good. Breakfast Buffet is so-so, and not available before 8 a.m. Choices include room temperature canned fruit cocktail. The staff are quite nice. I would not, however, stay here again.

Very helpful reception. They provide me baby bed. Our bed was very comfortable. Negative point will be the wooden floor creates lots of noise and small lift. Overall price versus stay is money worthy.

This proved to be an excellent location for me as I was working at both DAMU and HAMU. Just away from the impossible throng of Karlova but with plenty of opportunity for dipping in and out of that madness.

Nice hotel with great location

The hotel is on busy road next to Charle's bridge but not so noisy from road outside because of it's located in another small road. Great location, we can walk to Charle's bridge and there are a lot of restaurants, souvenir shops, and actually lot of landmarks in Prague. There's elevator which is helpful with our 30 kgs luggage. Good breakfast, nice staff.

We stayed on the third level which gave us a good sized room with a skylight in the bathroom.
Some of the rooms have posts in odd places. You might want to look at a few rooms if you have the option.
The elevator which is quite small goes to the second floor. We were content to walk the three flights..

Although it was a relatively short stay, I had a nice time at this hotel/guesthouse. It's definitely a great value for your money and the location is superb. It's about a 5 minute walk to Old Town Square and only a minute's walk to restaurants and shops (although they're mostly aimed towards tourists and you can easily find better food elsewhere). The room was very small but clean. The only issue I had was that the curtains were sheer and very see-through from the outside of the room. Overall I had a good stay.

Basic comforts in the PERFECT location

This charming pension in a 17th century building is ideally located between the Charles Bridge and Old Town Prague. The rooms are basic but comfortable. Walls are a little thin. Staff is friendly and efficient, mostly fluent in English, and were a great help in retrieving my lost luggage and summoning a taxi for our return to the airport. The complimentary breakfasts were tasty and generous, and the cafe was quite good for lunch or supper, too. We were able to walk to many attractions. The Metro station at Mustek is a 10 minute walk and connects 2 subway lines so getting around town was easy.

Fantastic Location and friendly staff

This was my first time in Prague. I just had to say this hotel (pension) is pretty much a simple nice place to come to stay in. No thrills or cutting edge design. However the friendly staff, the nice \"at home\" feel of the place and particularly the location help it excel. I was only about 200m from the prince charles bridge. And even though I dont usually eat there, there is a TGIF around the corner. The area is always busy with tourists and always active. P

I was disappointed in this hotel. The room was shabby and in need of redecoration. It was also cold and damp with no heating despite cool temperatures outside. Breakfast was as basic as it could be. The location suited my needs but I would not stay at this hotel again as there are many others giving better service.

Is really in walking distance of most attractions, however parking is absurd. Be warned the hotel will tell you that parking is near by, however let it be known its metered parking, mon-sat. Costs roughly 80CZK per 2 hours, and you must go back every 2 hours to replenish the clock. Alternative parking is available, roughly 20 min walk. The hotel was dirty. Room was not clean, floor not clean. Breakfast in the AM was suitable, nothing to write home about, but the tables were filthy.

Hospitable staff and great location

The staff at Pension U Lilie were extremely helpful. We had an early checkout (had to leave at 6AM) before breakfast was served and they packaged up a sandwich and fruit for us when we checked out since we would miss the breakfast. The location is also unbeatable, about two blocks from the Charles bridge, less than 5 minutes from Old Town Square and on a safe (and at times lively) street. There are several restaurants and bars out front as well which could be a bit noisy until about midnight. As there was no air conditioning we had to have the window open but the noise does quiet down after things close. The hotel had free internet and a computer guests could use. The room did not have a hairdryer built in, but the front desk had one we could use although it would have been nice if the room had one built in. Overall I would stay at this hotel again and was very pleased.

Pension U Lilie - Ideal location and friendly

The hotel is ideally situated, literally around the corner from Charles bridge at the very heart of Prague. And a 5 minute walk from the metro station to the connecting airport bus.

The room was clean and comfortable with an en-suite bathroom. Included breakfast was a perfectly serviceable standard continental buffet type affair.

The staff were very friendly and helpful the entire stay.

There was a small amount of noise at night from being so central but only a few brief shouts or songs from people passing and nothing to worry about keeping you up all night.

Charmigt och bra läge men låg standard

Läget var toppen! Servicen var bra. Frukosten enkel men helt okej. Rummet var rent men i dåligt skick. Toaletten stod och rann hela tiden och handtaget till toaletten lossnade så vi fick gå på toa med öppen dörr. Tyvärr för slitet för vår smak även om hotellet i sig hade en viss charm

Bad renovierungsbedürftig, Zimmer genauso, Frühstück sehr einfach gehalten. Hatte mehr erwartet. Sehr laut bis spät in die Nacht.

Zuerst einmal -das Personal ist mega! Alle total nett, alle sprechen Englisch.Danke dafür!!!
Unser Zimmer war in der dritten Etage. Bis zur zweiten Etage gelangt man mit einem kleinen Aufzug. Das Zimmer hatte eine angenehme Größe und war gut ausgestattet mit Doppelbett, Sofa (bei uns als Aufbettung), Fernseher, Bad mit Wanne... Insgesamt kann die Unterkunft durchaus mal ein Update vertragen - vor allem die Fenster und Türen.
Das Restaurant befindet sich im Eingangsbereich und (überdachten) Innenhof. Das Frühstück ist einfach, aber es gibt alles für einen guten Start in den Tag. Mittagessen und Abendessen wird ebenfalls angeboten - lecker und gutes Preis -Leistungsverhältnis! Das Restaurant schließt gegen 20 Uhr!
Das beste ist die Lage der Pension - 5 Minuten bis zur Karlsbrücke, 50 m von Touristenstrom, Pubs, Minimarkt, Trdelnik... in einer kleinen Gasse ( und deshalb sehr ruhig). Von hier aus kann man praktisch alle Sehenswürdigkeiten erlaufen und wenn man doch mal etwas weiter weg will, ist eine U-Bahn Station sowie Bus und Straßenbahn Haltestellen in ca 10 Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen.
Alles in allem eine eher einfache Unterkunft in top Lage mit sehr netten Personal - wir kommen bestimmt wieder!

Old hotel

The hotel was a 3 star but should be 2 star because it was old and the room was worn down with a toilet running with water all the time and a tap that was hard and not easy to use. It should be repaired but nothing happened. However the hotel was in the very center which was positive.
