Ideal location as the old town is just minutes away on foot, plenty of bars/restaurants nearby, lovely historic city. Hotel and our room was very clean/tidy, great views across the city if you book a higher floor with balcony, chambermaid/waitresses very attentive, breakfast lovely and varied.
Negatives:
Hotel offers a pick-up taxi service from the airport but don't confirm that anyone is going to be there waiting or on way to collect you (waited not knowing by airport exit for 15mins until driver turned up). Management ask if there is anything you request to enhance your stay before arrival (champagne/flowers/chocolates) but failed to deliver or more annoyingly never responded with either a yes or no to our suggestion (birthday cake).

Horrible location, hard to get to by car. Reception staff is very rude. Gave us a key to an occupied room, then when we came back down and informed them, they tell us \"that's just not possible\". My only mistake was not taking pictures of the room for proof, our only thought was we need to get out of this person's room. They offered a different room but could not assure us that someone else would not get a key to our room. They have no parking on site, want you to pay them first in cash for parking and tell you to park at another hotel. Felt very unsafe after going into someone else's room and not knowing if that would happen to me. Would not recommend at all.

Great Location and Outstanding Breakfast

Hotel Astoria turned out to be the perfect base for exploring Prague. The location couldn’t be better—you can walk to most of the city’s must-see sights, which made getting around super easy. Our room was clean, cozy, and just what we needed after a day of exploring. But the real standout? The breakfast. Honestly, it was one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve ever had—tons of variety and all included in the stay. If you’re looking for a comfortable hotel in a great spot with food that will keep you fueled for sightseeing, I’d definitely recommend staying here.

Two days in Prague

It was a wonderful experience staying at this hotel. The hotel was kind enough and giving me the accessible room, which is next to the reception. There was a small outdoor balcony, which was very nice touch. The location is fantastic. Very close to the astronomical clock. the breakfast was also delicious.

The staff at the reception were very rude and not at all friendly or welcoming. We were early so didn’t get our room until the afternoon. Which was fine but the way the staff treated us wasn’t pleasant at all. We were quite upset.

The breakfast was very nice, and the staff were very polite and friendly.

Great little hotel with a great location, rooms were very comfortable, they looked newly renovated. Very clean and friendly staff. We had breakfast included and we were very happy with the variety of food choices.
Like I mentioned before, good location, 10 -15 minutes walk to landmarks and restaurants.

What a fantastic property. Great location- a few streets over from the center of the action so it’s easy to get everywhere but not super noisy. The room was spacious and new feeling- we had two twins and could have done cartwheels in the room. Breakfast was solid and yummy.

Stayed here with a mate on a holiday for 5 days. Overall, a convenient hotel with many walkable cites nearby and many shops to get essentials in. An ok ish breakfast offering, not very diverse range of items but will do for a short stay. The hotel is also very clean with cleaners every day. The only real issue we encountered was the deceiving fact that the rooms were incredibly small and also some of our conversations at reception was a bit difficult due to a translation and language barrier - baring in mind we speak English. Overall, a nice, safe and recommendable hotel!

Very convenient location. We blocked this hotel based on reviews and “parking available”- it doesn’t mean free parking at property for patrons. We were supposed to park car at the nearest shopping center for a fee (about $40-45) Nothing wrong with additional charge if it is listed ahead.

Hidden away but right in the center

I heard about this hotel from a blogger that it was close to everything and hidden away from the noisy streets . Absolutely amazing was my stay . It met all my expectations even the included breakfast. I highly recommend the hotel .

Well located but needs some improvements

Well located about six min walk to main square and 7-10 Uber to train/bus station. The rooms were clean and decent but the AC barely worked. We had it on 10 and barely cool…called and they brought us a portable AC which helped. The WiFi was also extremely bad, especially for Zoom/streaming purposes. Free breakfast was a nice addition with decent selections, but staff could be friendlier overall. Overall the location is the highlight here.

Overall was ok due to hotel location; is it a 4 star? No; i would grade it a 3 star ( no room slippers, no shaving kit, no vanity kit); they charge a storage fee of 1€/luggage if you need to store the luggage after checkout ( never heard this not even in Cuba:))
Are we going to return to this hotel? No! Return to Prague? Definitely yes!!!

Good room but no WiFi

Hotel was clean and moderate in size. However, the WiFi does not work at all. When it does come on, it’s at very low speed and basically unusable. When we asked the front desk about it, they said there’s nothing they can do as they have ordered the low speed and not high speed internet. For the price I didn’t feel that this stay was worth it

Well placed for the old town and very walkable. The only downside to our stay was that I had to share a double bed with my 22 year old son. I was told that I had not requested twin beds and there were no other rooms available until the 3rd day of our 4 day stay. It didn’t seem worth moving to another room for just 1 day so offer was declined. I did receive an email regarding room preferences the day after we had arrived! Separate duvets were provided and we slept head to toe so we managed…..still….
The room itself was lovely and clean and bed was comfortable. There is a well stocked mini bar. The breakfast was excellent with a good choice of hot and cold food. The only disappointment was that I thought the hotel had a roof top terrace. I believe that this is only available to the guests staying on the top floor 😕. Overall though, it is a lovely hotel with friendly staff and I would return.

Great stay near the Old Town

The location was great - minutes walk from bakeries, restaurants and the Old Town. Perfect for those travelling.

We also appreciated them accomodating our early check in request and the breakfast was great too.

Only downside is the request for Euro 1 for storing luggage - which we weren't aware of. Rest the hotel is great!

One of the best convenience of locations! The recipients are great! Especially the young big eyes boy! But the employees at dinning looked tired… nice clean room but the heater seams stopped working during night. Wish they provide conditioner ( shampoo and body wash) tissue box should be movable. The most important is that a laundry room is very necessary! Good breakfast! Generally this is very nice hotel ! I strongly recommend to stay in!

Staff are excellent and helped with my requests prior to arrival, and even arranged an early check in. In general this was a great hotel in a great area, but my only criticism (and the reason I haven't rated it as 5 star) would be that I had chosen a double bedroom, yet the bed only had 2 'single' duvets which made things a little uncomfortable - a simple thing like a double duvet would have been so much better. Would be interested to know if the room had 2 occupants, whether this would have been different.

Walkable to many places however bed is way too soft that you sink in and I’m not a heavy person. If you enjoy a soft mattress, that’s fine but not otherwise as I find it most uncomfortable and disastrous for my back.
Breakfast room far too crowded at times of high occupancy such that you literally step over each other but kudos to service staff for their efficiency.

In comparison to location, services and room size the price was of this hotel was too high.

I had been visiting Prague since 2012 so I know a lot of hotels and streets. This was a new street for me.

The location is not so ideal. Approx. more than 1 km from bus and train stations.

The breakfast is just ok, not many options of hot drinks and cakes.

Great downtown hotel.

Parking needs to be clearly specified in listing. The reason we chose this location was that they had reserved parking in downtown. Unfortunately parking has to be reserved ahead of time so they didn’t have a spot for us so we parked offsite. Mall parking was fairly close so it wasn’t a huge deal other than it was a few blocks and more expensive.

The Astoria Hotel is perfect for a sightseeing trip to Prague. It’s location, close to the Old Town Square, means that you can reach all points of interest on foot.
The room we had was comfortable and appeared to have been recently refurbished. A mini bar was available.
The breakfast was excellent with both hot and cold food available.

Hotel Astoria is a lovely hotel in a very convenient location to the Old Town Square and all of the sights of the Old Town, as well as the new town and castle areas. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The room was very comfortable. It was a pleasant surprise to have a refrigerator in the room. If I ever return to Prague, Hotel Astoria would be the first I would consider.

Would book again. Great except bad street noise.

Sisters came for epic vacation. If you can afford a room on the 8th floor-do it. The terrace is where it is at and we made the mistake of not coughing up the extra money to stay in that room the entire time. That was our first night. You do share with other people on that floor the terrace FYI. They then moved us to the 6th floor and it had a balcony which was lovely. Fresh air, clock tower close by and a little table and chairs.
On our return back we got a room last minute on the first floor only a big window we could open a tiny bit.
We are from the USA so to help those others traveling here-
The a/c is building set. So even if it is warm outside, if they have already turned the building hvac to heater, you can’t get a/c in your room and that was a big bummer. I didn’t understand that. Dealing with older buildings with charm, these are some drawbacks which I traded off for no problem.
Love the hot water tea set in the room. They use top sheets only comforters so for warm sleepers like me, this was rough.
Beds are very comfortable, hotel itself quiet and clean and well maintained except we had ants in our room that they gave us some spray for but no follow up for.
Food choices were not labeled in English for breakfast. That was a little challenging.
Final thing - any room in this hotel is going to get major walking street noise. There are pub crawls that happen throughout the night. Even with the windows shut. I had a difficult time with this. Beware light sleeper

The hotel was great!We were able to check in early and were treated wonderful. The room was newly renovated, too! The staff was very accommodating, as well. Suggesting tours, restaurants etc. It was also perfectly located to the city center, so we could walk to town. Centrally located and free breakfast was delicious! Coffee was available all day, as well.I would highly recommend it..Perfect for our needs!

The location is excellent. Quite street but close to everything. There is a mini supermarket across the road which is handy but it’s super expensive.
If you walk one block back through an arcade, you will come to a supermarket on the main road which is a lot cheaper.
I suggest an uber If your coming or going from the train station. The cobblestone streets are a nightmare with luggage and not that easy.

Excellent hotel. Value for Money. Excellent breakfast buffet with a huge spread. Rooms are exactly as pictures and very clean room and bathroom. Close to all attractions and old town. Would definitely stay here again. One little discomfort was the AC was working, but still felt warm in the room even after the hotel staff adjusted it.
