Spacious room with comfortable bed. Toiletries were good quality and complimentary wine and coffee was appreciated. There were tea bags but no kettle which was confusing but otherwise room facilities were excellent. The hotel is beautiful particularly the restaurant. Breakfast was generous and a very good range of food and drink was on offer. Good location to access all the sites, with a convenient tram stop close by. Highly recommend this hotel.

The Art Deco Imperial Hotel is very centrally located close to the Namasti Republiky metro station and tram links.

I was greeted very warmly on arrival and all facilities were clearly explain to me in detail. I booked the Imperial Suite, which is on the top floor.

The main suite door opens into the sitting room and there is an adjacent washroom. The furnishings were traditional and very substantial, with a decent amount of storage space. Inclusions were an ironing board, safe, a writing desk and minibar.

The bedroom was spacious with a huge king-size plus bed. The room was serviced daily with the bed linen changed every three days as a standard. The large marble bathroom had vanity units for two, a separate shower cubicle and a very large soaking tub. There were plenty of towels and bathrobes, and the towels were replenished daily.

Breakfast was served each morning in the main restaurant, where lunch and dinner could also be taken. The design of the expansive dining area was very traditional and attractive and breakfast was a buffet style. There was a good variety of food items to choose from and all items were fresh. The serving staff were constantly busy and worked together as a team. They were friendly and helpful.

This is the second time I’ve stayed at this wonderful hotel and I appreciated it even more. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is a rare example of an updated and carefully decorated building built on its 1912 skeleton. Some of the original tiled mosaic is still preserved and the theme is a nostalgic art deco style beautifully executed. It is very conveniently located within easy walk to all the sites and the center with several choices of restaurants along the way.

This gem of a hotel was renovated in keeping with its 1912 roots and done very tastefully. It has all the amenities and features of an up to date hotel. The staff is helpful and rooms are very clean with updated bathrooms and furniture. The location is ideal within walking distance of the historic Charles Bridge and the center. Would highly recommended it.

We stayed at the Art Deco Imperial in the run up to Christmas and were very happy with our stay. The room, like the rest of the hotel, was clean, modern and comfortable. The restored Art Deco features, along with a great menu, in the cafe make it a wonderful experience but it is popular with residents and non residents so well worth making reservations. The hotel is about a 15 min walk from the old town sqaure with metro, tram and bus stops nearby.

Broken hot water, poor internet, no water one day and no parking onsite was not expected for the amount we paid to stay here. I was very unhappy that you charged me more than I paid at my 5 star Hotel in Hamburg for water and parking, and without tell me the cost beforehand. I assumed parking would be free because of the inconvenience. Otherwise it was an amazing hotel, however I think for the price I will stay elsewhere in the future.

This is an outstanding and very unique hotel. The service was very good. It is a very unique and beautiful hotel with all of the art and amazing restaurant/café. You feel like you’ve stepped back to the 1920s with all of the art deco. We got the junior suite and it’s very spacious on a corner with windows all around. Slight noise of trams below, but not disruptive and we could sleep fine. Breakfast was very good- scrambled eggs, fried eggs, sausages, and bacon. Different pastries, and breads to toast. Yogurts and different things to put in the yogurt and a cappuccino machine, fresh juice and fruit. When you walk out the front door, it’s just a couple of minutes and you are at a place where the trams stop. Uber and bolt are very usable to bolt seems to be cheaper I think. Depending on your budget hold can work fine. It’s very inexpensive, but people seem to like the public transportation too. it’s just like a 5 to 10 minute walk when you go out of the hotel to the right to get to the big square where that astronomical clock and all of that is. Beautiful restaurants and shops everywhere. Walkable to the Jewish quarter as well as all around old town. You can walk to the Charles bridge and over it to the castle, but that would be a longer walk 20 or 30 minutes you might want to take transportation. There are jazz clubs around and the big theater that has symphony orchestras. If you want something classy, a great value with great service and very beautiful this is your hotel!

Our VIP room was excellent. All staff were always attentive and provided every need. The restaurant was beautiful, great service and food. We even had heated floors in our bathroom. Only wished we had a full length mirror in the room.

Lovely Stay

The hotel is excellent with beautiful old charm decor. Neat and clean and spacious rooms. Check in staff very helpful and sumptious breakfast. Liba from concierge was very helpful and her reccomendations for the restaurants were brilliant. It is 8 to 10 min walk to the old town square and very centrally located. I would definite;ly stay again at this hotel.

Firstly, I would like to thank Hotels.com for the welcome gift. This hotel is beautiful and the terracotta tiles throughout made our stay like being in a work of art. The room was spacious and well decorated. The staff was extremely helpful and offered money saving suggestions that made our stay even more enjoyable. When I come back to Prague I plan on staying here!

Good hotel, clean but breakfast to be improved

Hotel was great generally and in a superb location. The rooms were pleasant, clean and the turn down service was always appreciated. Our only improvement would be the breakfast as the buffet service felt a little canteen like. On our first morning no one told us what the process or offer was and the a la carte breakfast was only shown to us after we asked. There wasn’t the biggest offering available

Not as expected

We chose this hotel because it was advertised as a five-star experience, and I was celebrating my 30th birthday, so we wanted something a little special. Unfortunately, it didn’t really live up to five-star standards.

Usually, five-star hotels wow their guests and add touches that make the stay memorable. Other than a 15% discount offered on a future booking because it was my birthday, there were no extras or gestures to mark the occasion – which was a bit underwhelming. Even the minibar wasn’t complimentary, not even bottled water, which you’d normally expect from a hotel of this calibre.

The breakfast was fine but very average, and not what you’d anticipate from a five-star hotel. The buffet was small, and it seemed like some guests were able to order food to their tables, but this wasn’t explained or offered to us. The gym was also disappointing: small, dated equipment, and one of the strength machines was missing a part, making it unusable.

On a more basic level, even the bedding didn’t feel luxurious – the pillows and duvets weren’t down, which again, just took away from the sense of indulgence we were expecting.

Most concerning of all, a member of staff accidentally let themselves into our room, carrying a duvet that was meant for another guest. It was unsettling to have someone come in, especially in a five-star hotel where you expect high standards of professionalism and privacy

It was a wonderful place to stay and a 10 minute walk to the conference. The rooms were spacious with comfortable beds. The hosts were above and beyond helpful and knowledgeable about the area and how to get to whatever we needed. The area is beautiful and safe. There are many good restaurants and a grocery store 10 minutes away. The rooftop terrace views of the city can’t be beat, and is a great spot to go relax. This place is charming and I would love to go back someday!

This hotel is not 5 stars. I would rate it 4 stars. Not luxury but more an upscale tourist hotel. Lots of tour bus types, many advertising signs in lobby and breakfast is not great. No fresh juices, pastry is average and they run out of items quickly. Staff is very nice. Expect lots of people in large groups and tour buses. Not an elegant 5 star operation.

The hotel is a nice tourist hotel. Signs and promos all over the lobby. Tours and buses coming etc. It is not a top luxury hotel. Not close. Photos look good. Rooms are renovated but the public spaces are very touristy.
