Our hotel room was efficient. Bed was nice and firm. And seems new but…pillows are either a huge one that links your next or a small one. And shower leaks from under the glass wall and gets all over the floor. Also in room 203 there was a weird buzzing clicking sound that happened every minute coming from outside. Lasted about 5 seconds. But enough to keep ya awake a bit.

Lovely 2 night stay at the Gold bank Hotel in Prague. The only down point was our AC was not working in room 609 so our room was a toasty 25 degrees all night long which was too warm for our liking. We mentioned this issue to the reception staff and was told the problem would be looked into however when we returned to our hotel room that afternoon after exploring Prague we found our room was even warmer than it was when we left it that morning so we were unsure if the AC was looked out or not. Despite this, our hotel stay was pleasant and found the hotel to be very convenient for exploring as well as our onward travel by the main train station which was only a 10 minute walk down the street. Would recommend to anyone looking for a reasonably priced hotel near the main attractions of Prague.

Room can be bigger and use more space. We had to switch our rooms twice just because the first room given to us didn’t even have space to open our luggage. They need to re consider the layout of the room, otherwise the property is very clean, modern and staff is very friendly and accommodating

This was a great little hotel. Very clean and comfortable and just far enough from the main tourist spots to be quiet, but still a very easy walk to wherever you want to go. The staff were helpful and friendly. It is also just a few minutes walk from the main train station, which was very handy for my early morning train when I left.

Our family had two separate stays at this hotel. The first, on May 26, was pleasant: clean room, friendly staff, good breakfast, and convenient luggage storage. Based on that, we looked forward to returning on June 4—but were deeply disappointed.

We were assigned Room 108, which initially seemed great for a family of three. But the air conditioning wasn’t working, and despite visits from maintenance and front desk staff, the issue remained unresolved. When we returned from dinner, the room temperature had risen to 29.4°C (85°F).

No other rooms were available. The only solution was one small fan and a suggestion to sleep with street-level windows open—which let in loud city noise and posed security concerns due to the lack of screens. We had no real choice but to try to sleep in a hot, stuffy, noisy room. It was a miserable night.

Staff offered breakfast as a gesture, but that didn’t adequately address the discomfort. I requested a refund afterward, but was only offered a 15% discount on a future stay—which is of no use, as we are international travelers with no plans to return.

In short: our second experience fell far below a four-star standard. I wouldn’t stay here again.

This is a bit of a unique property.
The good - location, bed comfort, shower is nice.quiet hotel.
The meh - feels like an ibis type hotel, basic. Only shampoo and soap provided, breakfast was adequate but nothing special. Same items each day.
The bad - no waters supplied. Room didn’t have a couch or a desk although it was a room I selected.

For the price if you want a basic accommodation it works. from the outside it looks 5 stars and inside 3. Next time I think I will spend a little more and get better accommodations.

Perfect hotel for a short stay. Conveniently located 5 minutes walk from Prague Main Station. You can get the AirPort Express bus to and from here. 10 minutes into Old Town. We did everything by walking i.e. old town, lesser town, Charles bridge, Prague castle, Jewish quarter, rotating head. Staff very friendly and nice. Great bathroom, shower and huge tv with YouTube.

This hotel was in the perfect location in Prague. It is about an 8-minute walk to Old Town which is where all the restaurants, bars, train station and historical landmarks are. The rooms were nice and clean. Check in was fast and easy, they had good Wi-Fi, I felt safe walking around the area even late at night, friendly staff. I even had the misfortune of having my luggage lost and told front desk if they could notify me when my luggage to arrives. They went as far as leaving my luggage in my room which was the highlight of my day.

The only reason I do not give this hotel 5 stars is because of the art and cleaning service. I have read reviews about the art being cringy or weird and they were right. When you walk into the hotel, it looks upscale but when you go up and see the photos of a random woman with gold and black splattered paint on her face, it cheapens the overall aesthetic of the hotel. It is not a painting it's just a photo. I had some water bottles piled up on the fridge hoping staff would throw away when they came to clean, and the cleaning service came into my room and cleaned but did not throw away the bottles until 2 days later.

Other than that, I still wouldn't mind staying here because it is in the perfect location for a good price.

Stayed from Jan 6th to 11th. Hotel was beautifully decorated, room was warm and cozy. My double bed however was two singles pushed together and 2 single duvets! Bathroom smelt of sewage and I reported this but it never got resolved. Check in was not very welcoming and lacking in general friendliness. Requested a room with a bath as the description noted bath or shower and was told shower was my only option! Overall it was good value for money for the hotel condition just lacking a bit of friendly customer service

I had a nice time staying at the Gold Bank Hotel. Staffs were welcoming and helpful, room was clean, modern and reasonably equipped. Breakfast was good with a lot of choices. 5 mins walk from Prague central station which can be used to access to the airport or neighbouring capital cities by bus or train respectively.
Also within a walkable distance to Prague major tourist attractions.

The service was really bad and nothing like they say. You only can choose one day for a free room service, the mattress was very uncomfortable (made my back hurt) and when we asked them to change it/the room they couldn’t do anything. We asked for an extra pillow and that took them 2 days to give one to us. Not even mentioning there was a false fire alarm and no electricity for half a day during our stat. Generally, very disappointed in the service and the hotel. The staff was really good at apologizing for the inconveniences but clearly had no intention of helping/fixing stuff for you.

Rooms not ready when we went to check in even though after 3pm. Only took around 10 mins though.
The “bar” is a real let down. Went with a friend and we didn’t want late nights out but quite like a glass of wine or something after we get in. One day they didn’t have cold white wine, later no white wine left so we had red wine (one was in the fridge), second night no wine at all. Staff had to hand wash the glasses behind the bar before pouring us a drink. Staff also seemed quite unsure about drinks - what was available, whether wine should be chilled or not. Only seats are in the big reception area - no music, no atmosphere.

The hotel property itself is clean and nice. Sadly, the staff are among the most cold and unfriendly I have ever encountered in my life. On top of that, after a night out in the city we returned around midnight and our hotel room wouldn’t open. We waited in the lobby for 90 minutes until 130am and when they finally opened it they said it was our fault for leaving a towel on the door, which there is NO WAY we did. It’s a very bizarre vibe with a scary staff and we recommend elsewhere.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. While the rooms are small, they are generally good for a short stay. The breakfast offered is decent and the location is undeniably great, with easy access to local attractions. The staff at the front desk were very polite, which we appreciated.

However, we encountered a troubling incident that overshadowed our stay. After our first night, we were closing the curtains and a bottle of lubricant fell out from behind them. This was not only unexpected but also very concerning, as it suggests the rooms are not being thoroughly cleaned. We reported this to the front desk, and they assured us that the manager would be notified the next morning. Unfortunately, we never heard back from anyone, which left us feeling dismissed and uncomfortable.

Given this experience, we would not choose to stay here again. There are plenty of other hotels in the area that likely offer a cleaner and more responsive environment.

Great location. 10-15 min away from town square. 2 blocks away from a train station. 5 min away from a mall. Really good Bistro across the street. Television with cable and YouTube. Staff spoke English and you can leave your luggage before and after checkin in the lobby. Walls are a bit thin, could hear the neighbors playing music and television at times and doors closing.

Loved it! Close to the main train station, lots of trams in the area, walkable distance to the old town. The hotel and room were clean and warm. I appreciate that my request was considered and I got a room on the higher floor which did not face the road (it was so quiet. Amazing!). I loved the style of the room. There was enough space for one person and lots of storage space to put personal belongings. Fridge and kettle came in handy. The bathroom was spacious and clean as well. Water pressure was great, small toiletries were provided too. There's just one thing that could be improved. As some guests mentioned, there's no bench or something similar where luggage could be put. It's nothing major though. Overall, I loved the place and would definitely come back! Oh, and the staff were nice and friendly.

Can't wait to return. Loved this hotel and the staff. They were very friendly and helpful; the recommendations for restaurants were great (restaurace hybernska especially was phenomenal). The hotel is centrally located and was easy to to navigate. The rooms are very high quality and so to are the cosmetics. The rooms have a kettle and fridge which is ideal.

Czech people are also very very friendly and I felt safe as a solo black female walking later at night and earlier in the morning.

The room is quite small and it does NOT come with a single chair in the room for sitting. Bathroom shower water power is strong. Breakfast is good with a variety of choices, including salad and fried rice. It is better to book online than coming to the hotel since they give you a rate higher than online booking. In addition the front desk staff will quote it as euro which is even more expensive.

The Gold was a beautiful hotel, that was able to help us out after we had left our first hotel due to poor standards. The staff were fantastic and always smiling. The room was lovely, spacious and clean. The breakfast was great with plenty of choice. We were close enough to all that Prague has to offer but far enough away to get a peaceful nights sleep.

This hotel is also a 10-minute walk from the old town square, but if you ever want to get anywhere fast, we recommend taking bolt scooters.

Great hotel which looks fresh and clean. I had a double room which was spacious , clean and comfortable. Shower gel and shampoo in the room.
The hotel itself was just far enough away from the centre to avoid the crowds but only a short walk in. It was great booking in as the hotel sends you a link so all you have to do is pick up your key.
Pleasant staff too. The best thing is that they are environmentally friendly and only change your linens and towels every 3 days but will come in more often if you wish.
