Séjour catastrophique l’un des pires hôtels que nous ayons faits. Le problème principal est le personnel, extrêmement antipathique et désagréable. En particulier une certaine madame Zenia.S, qui parle aux clients de manière très irrespectueuse et donne clairement l’impression que les clients la dérangent. Pour un hôtel qui se veut de standing, c’est totalement inacceptable.
Le service est inexistant. J’avais demandé deux oreillers supplémentaires car le lit et les oreillers sont vraiment inconfortables. Le personnel m’a assuré qu’ils allaient les monter dans la chambre… mais ils ne sont jamais arrivés. Aucune excuse, aucun suivi.
Le restaurant est également très décevant. Il est affiché ouvert jusqu’à 23h, mais à partir de 21h30 ils refusent déjà les commandes, ce qui est totalement trompeur pour les clients. Et les prix sont scandaleux : 80 € par personne pour un repas qui ne vaut absolument pas ce prix. Si vous voulez manger là-bas, passez par Hotel.com / Expedia car sur place c’est clairement de l’abus.
Le spa est ridiculement petit et les horaires sont très limités. Encore une fois, très loin de ce qu’on peut attendre d’un hôtel de ce type.
Enfin, l’emplacement de l’hôtel n’est pas idéal, ce qui n’aide pas à sauver l’expérience.
Nous étions venus en couple pour passer un moment agréable, et au final ce séjour a été une vraie déception du début à la fin. Entre le personnel désagréable, le service inexistant et les prix injustifiés, tout est à revoir.

What a luxury to have a hotel like this and be able to explore a European city. Staff was very accommodating and courteous. Food was varied and plentiful . It was a great value using my Expedia points as well to get half board for $250 a night during Holiday time.

I booked a deluxe room at a higher rate than normal, when we checked in we were given room 202 which at first glance was lovely, it wasn’t until I opened the curtains that we were very disappointed with the view. There was no outside view at all, instead both windows were looking out onto an internal building site with literally bags on cement on the window cill.
I mentioned this at check out thinking we may have been offered some kind of compensation but all the man said was “ I know, there around £650. We travel a lot and I have never known such high deposit being taken.

I will say that the room was lovely, as was the bathroom, also very clean and comfortable. It’s a shame they let themselves down with the attitude to the lack of an outside view.

The room was nice aesthetically but being on floor 1 which was street level, the road noise and even the noise from footfall outside was loud and constant from early morning to late night especially the 2am bin collections on Sunday morning!
The staff were pleasant but not very welcoming and small requests were ignored like a request for a small amount of milk in the room for tea and coffee. The breakfast has no meat as this is a Kosher hotel but this is not expressly stated which is something I should have explored before booking as some meats are allowed in kosher eating. The Spa is also not available to couples together with men’s and women’s times seperate which was disappointing to find out on arrival but again had I downloaded the opening times it is on the website but again not expressly stated until you research. The hotel is about 20th its walk from the old town and there are much better locations if you are looking to be in the thick of things in Prague. Overall we had an ok stay, I would not stay again but I would defiantly visit Prague again.

The Kosher Hotel King David in Prague is incredible. The staff was extremely attentive, responsive, and helpful. The rooms were huge, quiet, well appointed, and the air conditioning worked great. The food at breakfast and dinner was superb with a ton of variety. We stayed there for sukkot and would do so again in a heartbeat. The hotel is beautiful, but it's the staff that truly made the stay extraordinary. We arrived around 11 PM after a long flight and the front desk had saved us food from dinner in to go containers. From there, things just kept getting better. The staff at meals were extremely pleasant and anticipated our needs before we did, even bringing us blankets when the kids were cold. There's a shul in the hotel, a nice heated sukkah, and plenty of staff that speak Hebrew. Overall a perfect hotel, especially for kosher travelers.

Everything was presented very elegantly. It was fancy and up-to-date style-wise. The room was one of the smaller rooms of the hotel and yet was quite spacious. The room came equipped with an additional sink outside the bathroom, some closet space, and a small fridge (no freezer). The staff was very nice and helpful. The meals were presented very nicely, and the food was delicious. Outside the property are semi-quiet city streets and - around the corner - a park. It was a short walk from the town center.
Overall would highly recommend!

We had an unfortunate experience regarding unexpected charges. After our stay, the hotel claimed that we had damaged the minibar, specifically that the door was separated from the unit. However, the minibar door was already faulty upon arrival, and it merely became unhinged when opened. Despite explaining this, the hotel proceeded with a charge of 3,250 CZK, holding us responsible for pre-existing damage. This raises concerns about how the hotel handles wear and tear issues and whether unsuspecting guests might also be blamed for faulty furniture or fixtures. If you plan to stay here, I strongly advise checking your room thoroughly upon arrival and reporting any damages immediately to avoid unfair claims. A disappointing experience in an otherwise comfortable stay.

If you are in observant Jew, this is Heaven and even if you’re not, you’ll still enjoy being there

This really is a poor representation of a five star hotel and the rooms in the roof space leave a lot to be desired with out real windows or a proper ceiling overall the lifts were dirty and the breakfast at 30 euros massively overpriced I really would not believe the reviews and look for the more honest negatives ones as being nearer the mark

OK, but check the details.

Clean hotel, great rooms, brilliant staff. Unfortunately the spa was being \"serviced\" while we were there, along with the restricted timings meant we weren't able to use it. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was for the spa. Other guests were some of the rudest people I've ever met in my life, obviously not the hotels fault but just for reference.

For the Kosher traveler, wanting to visit the beautiful city of Prague, that could be no better solution.

The convenience of the accommodation was second only to the kind and patient staff.

The food was plentiful and fresh and the on-site Synagogue was fantastic blessing.

The spa was spot on pool and hot tub, beautiful.

We came 4 families for Sukot holiday. We booked the best and biggest of their suite. The staff was very rude, one of them literally said “I don’t have time to speak with you” after we asked to have dinner in part of the restaurant that was warmer since we were with 2 young babies. Not only the Suka was super crowded and cold- it was also dangerous with big holes on the side since they didn’t build it up to the end.
In the spa they allowed kids that were yelling and crying. My wife took massage and asked the manager why the kids are allowed and he answered “it is what it is”.
Let’s not start to talk about the non existence of security-they try to save money also there and the security there is basically zero. I don’t need to explain why it’s problematic nowadays.
The food was just ok, the cleanliness of the room was terrible and smelly urine in the bathrooms.
Room service is almost non existing.
We won’t come back.

The reason we chose the hotel was for the gym and spa facilities. 3 of the machines in the gym did not work, leaving only 2 working machines and free weights. The one benefit of our stay is that the beds were very comfy. But I do not believe the hotel should be rated as highly as it is.

I am Expedia VIP Gold. At checkin they had no idea what Expedia VIP Gold was. I showed the people at checkin on my phone that i was entitled to a room upgrade if available and also one beverage. They had no idea what it was. At first they said there was no upgrade availble as all rooms were booked.... eventually one was mysteriously found. When i showed the Ukrainian lady at check in on my phone the benefits of vip gold she took a photo of my phone in order to show her manager.

Rooms and amenities are excellent and room was very clean and quiet. Breakfast was great and a large selection of food to choose from.

The check in ruined my experience but the stay itself was very good.

The spa was the only thing I liked. The coffee machine in our room was broken and so was the plug in the basin. Neither they bothered to fix. The net curtain also fell off the ceiling when I went to draw it. We had a basement room where you couldn’t see out of the window and we were also asked for a 3000 Czech koruna deposit on arrival which has never happened before. The staff were also the most unwelcoming I have ever come across.

You MUST know that this is a Kosher hotel, so, if you are traveling with family you can all enjoy the pool ONLY after 6, because man and women do not share the pool but after 6 PM,. besides that everything was great, the food was good, I liked it, I would come back. Be prepared for some interesting things if you, like me, are not into religion, you will see some people chanting whilst getting their meal buffet :-)

This is an amazing hotel for any traveler, but particularly Jewish ones. Glatt Kosher meals, synagogue in the building and attentive staff. Old Prague is an easy 20 minute walk with no hills. Beautiful property and great accommodations. And Benny ensured everything was kosher to the highest standards.

We were very happy that we decided to stay here. For the kosher traveler visiting Prague, this is a no-brainer.
Our room was spacious, with modern amenities. The staff were uniformly helpful and friendly.
The food was great. We had breakfast every morning; there was a nice variety and plenty to eat. We also ate Shabbos meals that were delicious.

Much Better Options Available For Jews Visiting

This is definitely not a 5-Star Hotel. Please don't get any notions that it will be like the King David Hotel in Jerusalem. It isn't. The hotel is not very clean. For a \"5-Star\" hotel they have a lot of junk in the hallways. The building is in serious need of renovation. From painting to fixing the wallpaper in the rooms (mine was peeling), to just the wood moulding that seemed to be chipping everywhere.

The benefit is that there is kosher food on premise and the hotel is set up for Shabbos. There is also a daily minyan. But the food is only so-so. Definitely not worth the price. Chabad in Prague definitely has much better selections. In fact, on my upcoming trip to Prague, I will be staying closer to Chabad where there are some much nicer hotels at much better prices. And the location its much nicer.

The location of this hotel is close to the HBF, but nothing else. Luckily, Prague is not too big and you can walk 20-30 minutes. But you may not always want to do that or be able to doo that.

Would I stay at the King David in Prague again? No. Do I regret my stay? No, it was a very interesting experience. But I have had it once and thats enough.

A very unique hotel. It is located in an old classic building hence rooms are rather cramped and there are lots of steps etc. But they make up for it with friendly service and especially the unique kosher facilities that include a synagogue as well as kosher restaurants etc.

Amazing experience. We are not Jewish but still really enjoyed every aspect of the hotel. Do be aware that unless you are staying in an executive room or suite the spa pool and hot tub is extra an 10 euros and does is open specific hours for men and women as well as both men and women but still totally worth it. The breakfast was incredible, fresh pressed orange juice, hot and cold food items, pastries, coffee, hot chocolate some meat items depending on the day and all food is Kosher and so delicious. If you are not of Jewish faith I would recommend asking the front desk for some information on the rules the hotel follows to accommodate the Jewish religion so you are not caught off guard or cause any disrespect to other guests.

certainly not 5 star. noisy room next to road. to move to another room, told should pay upgrade charge despite staying 5 nights with them. breakfast is ok, not 5 star. bed uncomfortable. staff rather stern, not warm or inviting. overall disappointed.

The staff is very nasty. A lady called veronica would not let us walk out with a roll of bread as we were eating it she wanted the charges she was asking us how we would like to pay for it cash or card we thought that was ridiculous. The room that they gave us was in the attic we could not even walk upright there. The stuff would not help us. Rude

Forget about it

Not a lot of value for money. Rooms in the attic are cramped. Service is medium rare and local neighborhood is unfriendly. The distance to city center is not so close as it looks.

It's ideal for Orthodox Jewish people

The location was distinclty unpleasant. Right off the highway with window overlooking the passing cars.The lobby could not even pass for a 1 star hotle let alone for a 5 star one. The swimmiing pool hours a very limited since the hotel caters to orthodox Jews who's religious practice includes seperate swimming for men and women. Additionally the pool is mostly for sitting not swimming which is what i was hoping to do. The staff with the exeption of one was infriendly. What was good was the bed and bedding both very comfofable. The breakfast buffet was also well done. This hotel primarily caters to people who observe the Orhtodox Jewish laws and making those not of the same religious sensibiity feel a bit out of place. I would not give this hotel more than 3 stars.

Amazing weekend, great hotel, awesome food/service

Excellent food, service, and rooms. We got in late Thursday night with 4 children- it was the first time in my life a hotel had all 6 beds made up, and hot dinner waiting for us in our room!! What??!! Will definitely be back!
