The room was fairly spacious, though a bit dusty in the bathroom. The staff were polite, and the breakfast was tasty. The hotel’s location near the metro is a huge plus. I think it’s perfectly sufficient for a one- or two-night stay when visiting the city:)

Smelly room, no refund

The room toilet smelled so bad, that I couldnt stay, so I asked staff for different room, they didnt have any so I left to other hotel. The staff told me they will refund me, but later on they changed mind. So yeah, sucks and I am not coming back.

Pros and Con but not terrible for the price

We stayed for 2 nights. When we checked in, we were given a Twin room, not the Double we had requested. There was no other rooms available that night so we stayed in the twin.
The shower in that first room was broken so that water was sprayed sideways out of the shower head, so that it hit the wall and room, then flooded the bathroom whilst it was in its holder, so the show had to be used by handing the shower head and trying to hot have the sideways water leave the cubicle.

We were moved to a Double for our second night. The staff were very polite and offered assistance in a not too 'over-the-top' way.

The second room was much more roomy and comfortable, with a larger bathroom and functioning shower head, but someone had removed a battery from the TV remote so we were unable to turn on our television, which hung at a slight angle on the wall.

The biggest plus of the stay was the buffet breakfast that offer every choice of breakfast food that one could expect and plenty of tea and coffee. I might stay here again, just for the breakfast.

A decent deal around center

Upon arrival the staff were very friendly and very welcoming. The check-in was very smooth and I just paid city tax. The room was clean big and tidy and everything was perfect.
The weathe was hot, the room has a small fan no AC and when u open the window too much insects come in. The mattress was okayish but not the most comfortable.
But overall for the price and the quality it's superb and will definitely recommend it to others

Helpful stuff and good rooms. I can imagine though that some of them could be noisy in the Summer because if you open the window you can hear a train line right on one side of the building. Other than that all is great there. You can even book a private sauna with whirlpool for reasonable price at the hotel.

Good stay.

Good hotel, you have to a bit to the bus statior or metro but not a big deal. Room was pretty big, breakfast is good and never has a problema. Our heater didnt work but they gave us a potable one so its ok.
Just ask for extra toilet paper, they didn't put us a new one so they last we ran out of paper.
We recomend it.

Recommended 3 star hotel

Adeba was a great place to stay and I would recommend it. We all loved the neighborhood it was in, we were close to both trams and the subway. Public transport to and from the airport was super easy and super cheap. Although we could have taken the subway or tram to the tourist district we chose to walk. The weekend we were there was not a good one to visit, Prague was packed and the hotel prices were jacked up. I would not say Adeba was a good value for what we paid, but looking at their regular rates it would be excellent. The breakfast was huge and well stocked, staff was friendly and helpful and the rooms / beds were comfortable and had everything we needed. There are many great restaurants in the neighborhood, with very reasonable prices, if you want a break from the tourist district. There are great running / walking trails nearby, along the river and in the park directly behind the hotel. There is a tram that runs behind the hotel, if you are a light sleeper, ask for a room towards the front. A very good 3 star hotel.

It was clean and had a good location as was close to a metro station and some nice places to eat. We were out almost all day so only needed it as somewhere to sleep so it worked fine for us. The snack bar was rarely open and breakfast had little to no vegan options for my friend staying with me but all in all did the job for our short stay.

Extremely hot without AC nor a fan. The location is questionable and far from shopping and restaurants. The walls between units are thin. A couple next to mine was having a shouting match in the middle of the night and I was trying to sleep. Went to the front desk and she wouldn’t do anything about it. The ATM I’m the lobby charges 25% markup for cash withdrawals. In all Europe, if you see ATM or Euronet, avoid them. Always use a bank machine at a local bank so the charges for withdrawals are minimal.

Clean enough, but wouldn’t stay again.

The hotel, was clean enough. However on arrival the receptionist didn’t even crack a smile. It was very hot and no air con in the room, and count open the windows as the room was backed onto the train track meaning trains were going by every 5 mins (only 5 meters away). The beds were rock hard and the pillows non existent really.

Pleasant stay - you get what you pay for

Pleasant stay at Hotel Adeba. The staff upon arrival were friendly. The room itself was quite stuffy as the window didn’t open very wide. It wasnt particularly hot during my stay either so I imagine during summer months it would be unbearable therefore I would recommend paying extra to upgrade to a comfort room with air conditioning. Disappointed that there wasn’t a kettle in the room. The room itself was very clean with a good size bathroom and good shower. Only other downside was my room was next to the railway line but wouldn’t have been any better on the other side of the hotel as the building was undergoing a huge renovation. The area of Karlin in nice and a only 10 minute walk to the metro or 35 minutes to the old town.

Decent Location, some nice & good staff, Greedy management, booked a week stay and even after 72 hour notice Manager would not budge on letting me go unimpeded....says its nonrefundable, yes it is - but you had discretion especially after I gave notice for 72 hours and asked nicely and politely, but no dice.

Also if you are used to US standards this is not a 3 star but a US 1-2 star quality, - 15 min walk to Metro, carpets old, cheap vinyl/laminate furniture, no AC (but they'l give you a fan with attitude...), paper thin walls/doors, hear conversations clearly at night, poor, cheap lighting, weak shower, thin matress, no change of sheets every day,,,,you get the pic... - Cannot recommend as hotel was mediocre, disappointing and mixed unfriendly - Basic Attitude is: \"if you ask - ...they are doing you a favor...get it\" ?

The hotel is clean. We arrived around 10:30 am and they check us in although check in time is 2 pm.

Room is clean and exactly like the pictures. The space is ok.

Note that tooth brush and paste is not for free. My room was in the side of the train and it is not that noisy but just share the note.

Hotel is recommended.

It was a decent hotel close to both metro stations and the main sites, 15/20 minutes walk into the main tourist area. The room I stayed in was opposite the railway track and at night and early morning you can hear the trains go past every 10 minutes! The wifi was hit and miss. Breakfast was good.

Only a short walk to bars / restaurants, bus station & tube, city centre in walking distance, you must try one or more of the street food markets good cheap food and drink. Prague much cheaper than expected, some places accept euros as well as local, but not all. Hotel was good value for money, only one thing let it down, Wi-Fi not very good, I had to log on every 15 -20 mins.

The Hotel Adeba offers basic rooms at inexpensive rates. The service is good and the \"snack bar\" (bar with sandwiches and desserts) is pleasant and convenient when you want a quick meal. The wi-fi is all but nonexistent, however. Also my room backed up to the train, so with no air conditioning it was pretty noisy. I could also here someone snoring on the other side of the wall. There's a nearby street with what looks like a good selection of restaurants as well as a convenient mini-market. I'd stay elsewhere on future trips.

The first room we were given was facing directly the railroad, with trains passing day and night and no proper isolation.
We asked to move and we were given a much smaller room, with no place for luggage.
But we payed the same price!
The room are not sound proof and the building is old and noisy.
Breakfast buffet with poor variety and no fruit.

A Nice Surprise

Upon arrival, the staff seemed a little distant. This was slightly disappointing; but then the manager came out and he was super polite and bubbly. He realized my friend and I were traveling with 2 small children and were in separate rooms. He offered us an upgrade, no charge.
The apartment was wonderful and perfect for our small brood.
The parking was a short ways down the road and not terribly expensive.
The location is not the best...It is a ways to all main attractions. But, there are some nice restaurants and shops within walking distance.

This is the worst of our stay in the complete hotels.com supported ratings.Location not appealing in an old lane of the city with shabby colors.The hotel rooms doesn't have telephone to contact,no room service for food.Moreover not children friendly,my 6 yr daughter broke one of the glass balls by accident at the decorated Christmas tree at the entrance & we are charged for that.No international plug in the hotel,if asked we have to pay a deposit for the adapter.Very cheap mentality should never recommend anyone close, to be in this hotel.

It was a nice hotel. Seemed to be more residential location, which was nice. However, didn't feel like there was much for food and drinks in that area. The hotel had a small bar. Vladimir was a top notch bartender for small talk. The foot traffic and variety of persons stopping for a drink was limited.

Incredible in walking distance to city

We had a great time in Prague and Hotel Adeba was a wonderful place to stay. The staff let us check in early right when we arrived, free of charge. They immediately fixed our shower when the faucet wouldnt stay up. Staff stored our bags in a locked luggage room our last day since we were leaving the city that night but had to check out that morning, free of charge. I have to say that the staff was excellect, very nice, accomodating in any way possible and made our stay in Prague that much better. Thanks Hotel Adeba!

Needed a hotel close to the Forum Karlin so that getting back from a gig was hassle-free. It's a 5 minute walk from the Forum, so was ideal. Staff very friendly and helpful. There was even breakfast provided. Where the idea that the British eat cold baked beans for breakfast comes from, I've no idea!

Overall our experience was great. The free breakfast was a huge plus. Buy one get one free for the drinks at the hotel bar. If you needed to buy anything, they had it there (water, quick snack, soap). We arrived on New Years so the hotel was full. When we got there our room wasn't ready because a lot of the guests didn't check out on time. I understand this is not the hotel's fault, so we went to the pizza place around the corner to eat. Very good pizza and very cheap. The only bad thing was the Internet. It was very slow but it worked.

Hotel Adeba Review

Our stay at hotel Adeba was very good. The only downside that we were not told of was our room sat directly in front of a main railway line. Consequently, we were kept awake at certain times during the night and morning by passing trains. The window would have been shut to prevent this but the room was very hot itself with no air conditioning so we were forced to leave the window open for ventilation.

Hotel looks very nice at entrance/lobby. The breakfast area is beautiful set up too with a quite a nice selection for the money. Once you go a floor up things take a different turn. Room's aee very basic which would be fine with me since they're clean and comfortable enough IF there was a minimum soundproofing to the walls. Though I was expecting it already, just not to this extreme. It is no soundproofing at its worse. If you can deal with total lack of privacy you'll be fine.

Excellent position, 3 tram stops from the main areas of interest of the Old & New town areas,Restaurants locally were a 3rd cheaper than the main town & drinks around 50% cheaper,
Hotel was clean, Breakfast plentiful with a good choice of hot & cold,
I stayed on the 3rd floor & the only gripe i have is the cleaning staff starting around 7.30am, the room sound proofing wasnt up to much, so daily i heard the cleaning trolley roll along the corridor & the hoovering started shorty after that!!
So any layin was out of the question...
There is no Tea & coffee facilties in the room, but i hired one cheaply for about £1.00 day

I was given room 306 initially which was way too close to the elevator. Non-stop stomping in the halls day and night and walls that were paper thin, conversations next door after midnight and I heard every word. The lack of soundproofing was truly horrendous. It really felt like the Czech Army was doing maneuvers in the hallway. I was awakened continually and I was wearing ear plugs. The place is super clean and as cute as can be but if you can't get a decent nights sleep what is the point?? I DID NOT get a decent nights' sleep for my first 4 nights and finally demanded a room change. Was given 401 which was quiet and charming, good thing since I got the flu and spent 2 days in bed. It is really such a shame because the location isn't bad, only about a block and a half to the subway and a really great restaurant just around the corner. The staff tried to be accommodating (some more than others) and the breakfast was adequate, although unusual. Room 306 would get 0's and room 401 5's, so that is why it was split the way it was. It really has the potential to be a super little hotel but they MUST work on the soundproofing.

My experience at this hotel was a positive one. The staff answered any and all of my questions, as well as checking in and out was a breeze. The free breakfast in the morning was good, can't complain about it. The room was clean, and was equipped with a flat screen tv, but it only had one channel in english, which was BBC world news. The standard of facilities and service far exceed this hotel's price class. I was impressed that staff always remembered my room number when handing me the key in the evenings (keys are left in reception when you're outside the hotel) which is quite an achievement considering how full the hotel seemed. The reception staff were always attentive and approachable.

My single room was clean, spacious and cleverly designed so that any noise from the corridor is separated by 2 doors and the depth of the bathroom. There was even a fridge. WiFi was fast and reliable.

Breakfast was superb! The food and coffee was of unusually high quality by any hotel standard and the availability was punctiliously maintained by the staff. There was the usual full selection of hot and cold food, fruit, yogurt, breads, cereal etc.

The main public areas of the hotel are also worth mentioning - the reception lounge was surprisingly large; with marble counters, stylish furniture and an xbox! The nearest metro station is easily reached, although the area around the hotel is a bit lifeless at night.

All in all, I am very happy with this find. Will rebook next time I'm in Prague.

Very Happy With This Budget Hotel

Very happy with this hotel. Got a great price but was worried about noise issues. I did get a room facing the court yard which made the train noise so remote that I wouldn't have known it was from a train if I hadn't known about it. There is a little noise from other rooms but not bad at all. And there is an odd quality to the hallway floors that produces more noise than normal when people are walking. My room was at the beginning of the hall so there was a lot of foot traffic.

I went into the noise issue in such detail because I like quiet and had ordered ear plugs in preparation for this stay but I never even considered using them. Overall it's quiet, especially during normal sleeping hours (say 10 or 11 to 7 or 8).

The finish of the hotel and the rooms appears brand new and is very nice for a budget place. The bed was very firm but extremely comfortable. Wifi worked fine. Breakfast above average for a budget place. Excellent heat and plenty of hot water with a good shower. Staff friendly and helpful the couple of times I needed a little help. Neighborhood has light industrial influence but well lit and felt as safe as other areas in Prague where I've stayed. Would definitely return.

Great hotel for the price

Although it took us a bit to find the hotel location, it was a nice place and we'd probably stay there again. The price was right and the amenities were sufficient. Our (minor) only issue was with the wifi -- if our devices became in active, we'd have to log back in. However, the speed was perfectly fine (I was able to Facetime with my parents back in the states with zero issue).

Hotel Service OK, breakfast OK, price very reasonable. Only problem the noise from the railway...trains start about 05.00 in the morning. Anyway, good value for the money if you are not too demanding

The hotel seems to be away from the center of activity. But it is only a couple of minutes walk from the metro and tram routes. Reasonably priced, and most importantly for me a hot breakfast buffet. The only downside that I can see is the railway line that passes very close to the back of the hotel. But if you're a train spotter it's great.

Couldnt fault it

This hotel was lovely, the only issue I can think of which cant be helped is the road noise if you have a front of house room but apparently the train noise at the back is worse (not many trains on this line anyway). The breakfast selection and quantity was great, very modern, clean and staff were very helpful. I own an apartment close by so know this area very well. Very safe, even late at night with supermarket, tram ,metro and nice bars and restaurants nearby which are always growing in number. I will definitely stay there again.

Great hotel near(ish) the City Centre

We were very impressed with the Adeba Hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious enough and the location was excellent (you could easily walk into the Old or New Town, or alternatively the nearest Metro station was only about a 5 minutes’ walk).
Although we stayed 4 nights in all, we booked the second 2 nights separately so we had to change room but the staff very kindly allowed us to check into the new room straightaway. The first room was at the front of the hotel so there was no noise from the railway; the second room did overlook the railway and I was concerned about this but it did not have too much impact on my sleep so this was okay.
The left luggage storage facility is very useful if you are only leaving Prague in the afternoon, like us, and do not want to cart everything round until you leave for the airport.
The breakfast is in typical continental style but very good and, being a buffet, there is plenty of it.
All in all it is not the Ritz or the Hilton but for the price it really cannot be faulted and so on that basis the Adeba Hotel is highly recommended.

Nice, cheap place

Nice, clean, cheap place, close to public transit and the Vitkov National Monument (a must see in Prague for anyone who loves Social Realist excess). Near a train track, but not that many trains actually come through.
