My particular room was located around 50 meters from the hotel where I book the room in the separate building without reception, this was not mentioned during booking process, quite noisy room, something like residential building after reconstruction with quite cheep common areas

It was kind of quiet area but can be accessed by trams or buses. The room was very comfortable and clean. Staffs were kind and helpful. My most favorite was breakfast, many plenty of food that I don’t eat normally.
If I visited Prague in the future I would like to stay in this hotel again ^_^

Comfortable, clean, warm, excellent breakfast, convenient location with ample nearby restaurants and bars. Walking distance to the main city centre. Good cheap tram service nearby. Helpful staff who will also book a taxi for you to and from the airport although better to phone them than send an email. Overall a great hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at the Three Crowns - we were attending a conference at another hotel, but wanted to stay somewhere within walking distance.

That staff were wonderful and friendly, and made sure our stay was just right.
Breakfast was tasty and a good range of food and drinks were available.

We would happily stay here again next time we are in the area!

The look from the outside and lobby was actually nice and looked like a 3 to 4 stats hotel, but it’s totally different when into the inside. Never got a hotel room without kettle, no aircon, weak wifi connection. Everywhere smells like in hospital, feels like it was a hospital. Mattress is sponge, and the double room is actually a 4 single beds room, breakfast was not too bad but the coffee from the coffee machine Tasted super sour and the stuff said that’s normal....
The only one positive thing is close to the bus stop.

THIS Property needs painting as it look dull,The T.V is small and old and only fit for the bin..Too noisy at night from thr road. Bathroom too small and no curtain in the small bath.. I was disappointed.

A 2-star Hotel, forget about 4

Every thing in this hotel is a disaster and this hotel is a real definition of a crappy hotel. First, the people at reception are very rude and impolite specially the man with glass. When you order something at night he becomes angry and doesn't want to give service or any help. Second, the ventilation is so bad. There is no air-condition in the room and no fan in the toilet. Third, the room is not cleaned very well. Check in process was very long, they scan the passport, visa, ask to fill a long form ...
The only good thing in this hotel is the breakfast.

Had a one night stay when the heat was around 30*. There is no AC so I would not stay there agin.

One of the best hotels in Prague. Hotel is new but basically i pay literally nothing and I get one of the best service in Prague hotel, luxury and more. Breakfast was great omg they have everything and the best is complementary. Room is so big; only bad thing is they need to renew the bathroom is to old. Is locate very close to the city (about 10min in metro); they have variety of good restaurants around the hotel and very cheap.

The suite was large with a separate toilet, bathroom and bedroom with enough space for sitting areas. The staff were friendly. It was very quiet. It is a little dated in style and the shower was a shower head over the bath, however all and all it was a nice stay.

I really loved the location of this hotel, it's an easy tram ride away from the city hub, but still surrounded by amazing and interesting places, restaurants and bars. The breakfast was amazing and the staff extremely friendly and willing to assist in any way. I would stay here again next visit as I felt the atmosphere and value for money was extraordinary.

Friendly staff andcomfy room, although it was a little too hot for our liking. There also a good breakfast that sets you up for a good stint around Prague.The hotel is a short tram ride (9 or 5 or 15 if you want to go to the castle) from wenceslas square. The local area has a few good pubs which provide local beer and food at a reasonable price along with a cosy atmosphere.

I booked the superior room. The bathroom was smelly through out the room. The windows are not double or triple as a result I was waking up during the night by drunk people screaming. The breakfast poor, the free coffee undrinkable and no fresh bread. The hotel staff specially at the restaurant very professional and friendly. Except a male receptionist who the last day when I asked him for taxi he gave me triple price!! I canceled this taxi and I ordered on my own. Laters I found out that receptionist are taking commission from taxi. Which is unacceptable.

Nice hotel not far from public transport.

This hotel could be really great with a little investment. There were things left unrepaired and the lighting in the main room was only bedside lights and one dim standard lamp, no overhead or wall lights.

Nice hotel but watch out for the car park...

We set the filter for hotels with a car park so this one came up. However there was no talk of needing to reserve a space or the price of parking which was very steep!

We would recommend the cheaper underground secure government 24 hour car park (marked with a P) about a 4 minute walk away. The receptionist never mentioned this one on us asking, she just kept finding us other hotel car parks at crazy rates.

Overpriced at $268.Lift was not working.Staff declined to help with luggage.Room had no AC or fan and was musty and hot.No soap in bathroom.Neigborhood is unattractive and unclean.Keeping window open is not an option as it is noisy till early morning ! Breakfast was below average in quality and content.This is a one star propert.Not sure why it is offered on Expedia and how they get to charge what they did.It is best avoided.

Thoroughly unpleasant experience

This hotel was a huge disappointment. The photos are very deceptive; most rooms are very dated and worn. They also suffer a great deal of street noise or disturbance from people wheeling suitcases along the non-carpeted corridor. Definitely only two star standard - some rooms look more like a hostel and the bathrooms are tiny. The newer rooms are better with some nice touches (no wardrobe, though). However, they overlook the noisy outside seating area and also suffer noise from the locals in the adjoining flats around the courtyard. I didn't get a full night's sleep on any night of my stay. The day staff seem very unprofessional and - apart from one person - arrogant and unfriendly. One couple I met had their wallet stolen. Most definitely would never return.

It was terrible. It is not 4* hotel actually. I'll mark as 2* maximum. Not like shown in photos. Room was very dirty with spots on the carpet. We booked double room, but their doublebed isn't real doublbed. We got 2 single beds put side-by-side, and between matrasses where big space, which was very uncomfortable for couple. Overally it was very bed experiance. Only breakfast was ok.

Well, the location was not too bad, quite a lot of places around the hotel, restaurants, bars, sights. Two stops by bus from Florenc station. The lobby area is nice and staff friendly but the room is very outdated and old. I think some of the rooms had a shower and toilet on the hallway? Overall OK and maybe for 1-2 nights fine but I do not think I will be back.

This is my 7th visit to Prague and have always had a good stay. On this occasion I chose a hotel out of the city centre as it was a weekend and I had my 6 year old son with me. The street which the hotel was on was immediately off putting with most properties covered in graffiti and bags of litter on the street. Most of the neighbouring properties seemed run down however at night that did seem to change. Hotel is about 5 minutes from the city centre by tram, so convenient. The room was ok, nothing special. We were on the 4th floor and it was warm, the heating was on in the room and we were not able to turn to radiators off. There were no obvious signs for emergency exits or safety procedures in any of the rooms or even directed by hotel staff on arrival. I fortunately have short legs, those with long legs may have trouble using the toilet as it was directly in front of the wall!

This is a nice affordable hotel. The lobby is very modern asa well as the outside patio area. Breakfast was plentiful and hearty. It was also included with the price of the room. The room was neat and very clean. There was not air condition, so in the middle of summer it was super hot. I didn't think to check on that!

A disappointment

Hotel claims 4 stars but it's not. The hotel is 3 stars, rooms are badly designed with see-through door to the bathroom position so that if you enter a room from the outside you will see perfectly whoever is showering in the bathroom. TV had 1 channel and nothing else worked. No minibar, blinds didn't cover all of the windows so you would have to decide whether the rooms opposite your windows would see you coming out of the shower or sleeping .. Will never go there again.

Great value! Our room was clean and quiet. Our deal included a free breakfast, which was excellent. The location is about a 3/4 of a mile from the city center, but it was a nice walk and there are trams available to get you there. It's near (3-minute walk) to a nice park around the impressive monument to Jan Zizka. There were some great and inexpensive restaurants nearby -- much better deal than around the city center where you would pay twice or three times as much for the food that is about half as good. We'll come back here.

Recent family holiday in Prague

The hotel staff were very helpful, they arranged my airport taxi`s both to/from the airport at fixed rates. We had a family room on the corner which was massive. There was free wifi in the rooms and a bar available near reception. We requested a fan for our room and it was provided on the same night. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice available. The hotel is situated around 25 minutes walk from the main part of the city which was close enough to walk to/from but also far enough to be a bit quieter. We found a lovely restaurant nearby that was very good food and competitively priced. Overall a very good place to stay

An older hotel in a local neighborhood within a 15-minute walk to Old Town. It's great for a good sleep unless you want to be right in the heart of historical Prague. Great breakfast, hearty and satisfying, along with a 24-hr bar. Check-in and check-out were smooth and quick.

Nice Hotel, great value

Couldn't be more pleased with the value. Only a 15 minute walk to Old Prague and an even shorter journey there if you want to ride the Metro. Breakfast was quite satisfactory with a variety of options, and the staff are absolutely wonderful. The hotel even sells you public transit tickets which makes that even easier. Very pleased with the stay especially considering the rate on Expedia. I actually extended my stay twice as I enjoyed the city and was so pleased with the accomodation. If I return to Prague I would be more than happy to stay here again.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The staff were helpful, everything was well run. The hotel is situated on a side street so it is not a noisy location. Although not in the city centre there is a good bus service on the nearby main road, and a frequent tram service from the main road at the top of the street.

We enjoyed our stay at three Crowns. It was very quick and easy to pop to the city centre via a tram or bus 207, and there is a grocery store (Billa) within a five minute walk. This is a lovely hotel with an appealing lobby, bar, and breakfast area. we were comfortable in our room, but found the lack of a fridge, and lack of shower curtain (!) to be unfortunate. Everything was clean and well maintained. The breakfast area, while well stocked, was a bit of a madhouse at 0900-1000, so we recommend that visitors try to pop down early to beat the rush.

Modern reception but dated rooms.Had requested a queen bed but on arrival got single beds pushed together but mattresses did not meet in the middle because of the wooden frame around the beds. Room was dark , only one window and dark wood paneling on walls didn't help. Asked for another room but was told no room were available at which point asked to speak to a manager. The manager stated that the hotel was fully booked but did get us another room with a queen bed. The new room was the same layout as the original room but had two windows so room was brighter. Rooms were large and clean and bed was comfy enough, bathroom quite modern compared to room apart from the poor shower facilities.
Overall good big rooms which are clean and comfortable but outdated decor.

You get what you pay for .. Listed as 4 stars, our room on a budget of collecting an earned free night (ie. We booked 3 nights & paid for 2), was definitely 2 stars. We requested a double bed - received 2 made up singles .. 3 bedlamps set up -no overhead light. Staff not helpful or sympathetic. Neighbourhood not on my promenading A-list by night. Maybe it was just us? Breakfast excellent. PS Prague wonderful - will return, just not here...

We booked last minute and got a great deal. Staff were amazing and very helpful. Only let down was the breakfast as there wasnt a lot of selection. Couldnt connect to the wifi because of low signal even though we were first floor. Otherwise we had a really good stay. Staff were very helpful with transport and answered all questions. I booked this hotel online just based on a price, availability and pictures and it was just perfect choice! I was staying with my 3 kids. The location is excellent - short walk to tram and in city centre within a few minutes. Easy access to the airport via taxi and public transport as well. Plenty of small corner shops and places to eat in the area. Two major attractions in within 10 min walk – Zizkov Tower and Vitkov. Friendly and helpful receptionist. Room was spacious, clean and airy – comfortable and relatively quiet, considering it was facing street. Breakfast offered plenty of choices to pick from. Only minor issue – the check in/check out times mentioned on a booking website did not correspond with the real one, but hotel provided us with the luggage room so it was fine at the end.

Hotel was excellent and staff were very helpful. The breakfast was very good and filling. The rooms and the bedding were very very clean the only thing if you are there when it is hot they have no air-conditioning and the rooms do get hot. It is very close to the public transport and using the public transport it is easy to navigate the city we took two children with us aged two and seven and they loved it.

Great value, needed Air Conditioning!!!! Being in the middle of a heat wave in Prague with no AC was not pleasant. And I wish the breakfast buffet would have had scrambled eggs... that English Breakfast is not too tasty for us Americans... :-)

Decent small hotel in central area of Prague

Very successful stay in the Three Crowns, Prague. staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast excellent. Overall very good stay and would definitely go back.

Slightly out of the center, but good value

This hotel is on a side street off the 5, 9, & 26 tram lines - about a 5-7 minute walk from the tram stop, so a bit of a hump if you have luggage, but not a problem if you only have a small bag. A roller bag should be fine - sidewalks all the way.

Clean, high ceilings, big windows.

Staff is competent but busy and brusque.

Very loud on the weekend as this is a party area - bars up and down all the streets.
On the flip side - lots of good food and bars nearby.

Not near downtown, but awesome place to stay!

I have booked at the Three Crowns hotel in last minutes and I got a nice awesome room at cheap price! Andrea and Lukas were very helpful in my stay. There is a free breakfest in the morning, but don't miss the schedule, or else you won't be able to have a coffee even if there is still some left availble. The minute the dining room is closed, it's closed. On the other hand, there is a nice terasse with a 24h open bar and snacks! The hotel is a 30 minutes walk from downtown though, but for the quality, I will look forward to booking a room there anytime I will get back in Prague.

Friendly personnel and clean rooms

With very attentive and friendly personnel, clean and a good hotel not so far from the city center. It takes around 15 minutes to walk to the Municipal center and Powder Tower. In superior rooms, after a little longer use, shower may overflow. Also they are rain showers fixed to the top. Sometimes you may need a hand shower as well. Internet is very week especially in the rooms. It is a good place thinking that you will spend most of the time in the City.

Some issues but resolved

First room smelled of urine and had wet carpet. Room was promptly substituted with a good room. Staff superb.
may have been a theft there while there. Not sure.
Take valuables with you.

Find something else

If you are coming by car, do not use this hotel. There is a garage but full months in advance. Street parking is zoned so no street parking. The room stank of mildew from the bathroom. Breakfast - ranks among the weirdest I have ever seen - fried rice and chicken for breakfast? Neighbourhood is rough. TV didn't work. When I tried to explain the room smell and TV at checkout - rude and didn't care. Thanks for your money, go away.

Inside is the value

Externally it says nothing, but when you enter you find a very interesting surrounding and decisions for the hotel. Room was big and clean, service is very much convenient. Overpriced for parking.

Family accommodation for a week

It was good for night stay with whole day outside hotel. It gave me arrangements for total 4 member of family including 2 children. It was great. Room was Atic with roof window only. Toilet was provided only with towel and hand soap but no other facility. Overall good for the money spent.
