Good value from the money. The purpose of this trip was to the Canton Fair, and we had just a short walk to get to the subway, which was perfect. Rooms were very clean. Sadly, the breakfast buffet is pale in comparaison to other nice hotels in China in term of food selection and abundance... that constructive critic may push the management to do better in that area.

I booked a Full Size bed and received two twins instead. Then they switched me to another room after I informed them of the issue, but the new room only had a horrible box spring, which we had to sleep on after a long day of sight seeing. Don’t book this hotel. 🙁

We checked in a room facing Sun Yat-Sin memorial hall. The view was very nice and comfortable. We had a chance eating in the hotel restaurant. Foods were pretty good. The breakfast buffet were mainly supplied with Chinese foods which were Ok with us. One thing like to mention that unlike the other hotels, there was no spare toilet paper in the bathroom. The toilet paper they supplied was quite small which was easily empty. We had two incidents to call the front desk to deliver a new toilet paper to our room.

It was a great hotel, and we snatched it at a great price! It's located 1-3 stops away from ALL the main eateries and shopping area's, and is very convenient. There's Sun Yat Sen Memorial nearby which is great to take a look around, and to relax in the gardens. Would definitely stay here again. Only complaint is that the bed was a little small.

Stop over to UK. Wifi unsatisfactory. swimming pool and massage not available. Little English spoken. Room clean abut beds VERY hard. Good shopping at Beijing Road and metro service is excellent. Impressed that our western graffiti vandalism isn't evident. Kudos to China for this. Chinese people friendly and welcoming.

Worse Internet Ever
If internet is important, you absolutely will hate it here. It's non functional in room or even lobby. It's like being on a cruise ship where you will not have Internet for that week. I have stayed at hotels all over China, Asia, Europe, and Caribean and this hotel takes title of absolutely worse by far. Only other hotel that even remotely compares is Sonesta Beach Resort in St Maartin. Their wifi also does not work in room, but at least it works for brief periods in lobby.

It is close to number two subway exit, so getting to it is a 500 meters walk, if you can ask directions in Chinese, the hotels.com's map is not correct. Not a neighborhood you can get food or entertainment, mostly government or business buildings around it. The restaurant in the hotel provide a decent buffet breakfast.

Classic 1980s hotel with style, but with set back
Guangdong Hotel is located in a superb location -- right in the heart of the city. It's an old and classic hotel with a great 80s architectural characteristic, which I sort of enjoyed despite the old age of the building and the fact that there hasn't been a lot of effort on the managerial part to upgrade the hotel to compete with modern demand, such as the Hilton Hotel literally right next door. As a professional business traveler, I have to admit that this hotel is not suitable for business: the main reason is that it has a very bad internet connection. I stayed for two days for business and, for the least I could have asked for, needed good internet connection which they did not have for us. I spoke to both the receptionists and the manager and nothing was made to improve the situation. I couldn't even get access to Chinese websites, let alone foreign websites through which I would need VPN to get.

We are pleased with the hotel in general. Convenient to Guaugzhou MTA, 3 blocks from subway and 2 blocks from bus stop. Taxi services readily available from the main entrance. Bathroom fixtures can be brighter, shower head, has good enough pressure, but needed to be upgraded. Overall we are pleased for the price we paid at Hotel.com.

Rooms were recently updated and had some innovative features. Not luxurious but for the price this hotel was a great choice for the good service - all very professional and gave a trustworthy impression, good location central and easy to get around. The hotel restaurant and fitness facilities very not yet updated but I wasn't too concerned about that.

We were in guangzhou on business and regretted staying at this hotel as the internet was so slow we couldn't even load a page! The rooms stunk heavily of smoke, we asked to change hotel rooms and the second room stunk of smoke also. For two non-smokers this was horrible!

A 4night stay in Sept 2013
The hotel external is grandious, lobby is spacious. Hotel room has no wifi contrary to its website's statements. When u need to use mobile connections one need to go to the lobby. And out of the 9 hotel wifi connections, its so hard to connect to one. Room access card always malfunction when back to room after the day, need to go down again to front office to replace new entry card. The room is quite clean. The dinner buffet of ¥180 per pax at the main restuarant is not consistent of the value of the food served.
The attendant or bell hop will look away and not help to carry the luggage from yr transport when u arrived. Wonder why is he wearing the uniform and standing there for? However, the hotel is quite well situated with walking distances to many good places.

先ず、エクスペディアの情報が間違っています。正しくは「広東大廈（Guang Dong Hotel）」です。今後予約される方の為にも早く修正する必要があると思います。
さて、このホテルは広東省政府の真横にある大きな落ち着いたホテルでした。
繁華街の中にあるホテルも良いと思いますが、北京路まで徒歩15分位の距離なので、そう遠くはありません。地下鉄の駅も徒歩5分位だし、越秀公園も歩いて行ける距離でした。実際に歩いて、市内観光しました。
但し、閑静過ぎて、周りにコンビニが無かったので、少し不便でした。しかし、料金も含めて他の点は良い所が多かったので、満足しました。
