The front desk staff was great! But the ice machine was broken the A/C in the room didn't work. I asked for the room the be cleaned they never came in to clean it. It was all about all about location why we stayed. The breakfast definitely wasn't a best western breakfast, but had coffee & toast and bagels. So that was nice. To me a little to pricey would look at different offers next time.

I'm not sure how this place had such good ratings. I booked a room and did not realize it was a \"smoking\" room. Is that even a THING anymore? anyway I can NOT be in a smoking room due to health reasons. The motel was not fully booked. I asked to be moved. The girl said she cant move the room in the system for some reason. I decided to try the room. WOW that was terrible and I have no idea how anyone sleeps in there. I only opened the door a second. Punched in the face with Old smoke. I went back and let her know I can not stay in that room. She did end up finding a way to get me into another one. I know she was doing her best. the room was not terrible. The location was very loud and constant banging around me. The \"breakfast\" was pitiful. A few bagel toast options. Some instant oatmeal and coffee. The entire property smelled like cigarettes and looked unkept. The dried up water fountain outside and zero landscaping was sad. I would never stay again. I could have stayed at a motel 6 and saved the money. The value was the same.

SureStay Best Western in Ukiah, Ca. - This is a nice little hotel. Room was clean and spacious. Room had a mini fridge that actually worked pretty good. Plenty of parking, staff was nice. A wall mounted AC/heater that worked pretty good. Basic TV channels. The shower had some seriously good water pressure too. Plenty of parking. Over all a nice experience over a period of 4 days. The only reason I gave them 4 stars - the breakfast was basically, bagles, cold cereal or eggo waffles with juice or coffee, I feel that is pretty much the bare minimum. No room safe. No ice machine. Had to go to the front desk and they gave you a small bag of ice, nice but kinda of an inconvenience. I mean if you looking for a nice place to sleep, this will fit the bill. I would stay here again, knowing the few things that are lacking, they are easily overcome.

This is a totally terrific property: feels brand new, spacious rooms, great tub & shower, clean and attractive. Nice staff and pride of operation. Literally at the end of exit from 101, and at beginning of entrance for Northbound, yet no sense of leeway noise in rooms. Super pool
& hot tub, well maintained and clean. GREAT VALUE!

1. A fee of $25 for a pet is way too high
2. Always like Best Wester over Motel 6, but this room was no better
3. Went to get breakfast at about eight and there was hardly any food left
4. The AC unit was very noisy
5. While the outside door was locked and secure you could see daylight around the door due to a very poor seal

I made the reservation for one of our speakers. She showed up with a hotel confirmation number, and it was not honored. She was told there were no rooms available, yet was \"offered\" a suite, and had to pay for it. I am waiting for a full refund of the reservation I made, to reimburse at least part of her expenses. This is a negative review, we will not continue promoting the hotel during our business venues!

Missing furniture?

There was a lot of empty space in our room. It felt like a bed or sofa was missing. Just half the side of the room was completely empty.

**Honest real review from June 21, 2025 **

We were visiting in California for just under 2 weeks and stopping and booking hotel rooms wherever we ended up for the night. I’ve never had any problems with booking until we booked at this hotel. Before I went ahead and booked my room through Expedia, I called the hotel to ask for their rates to see if they could give me a better deal. A lady answered the call and answered my questions, Expedia was still giving a better deal so I let her know I will be booking for the night but I’ll go ahead and do it through Expedia. She then started to sound annoyed and said okay fine but then you owe me a $200 deposit - fair every hotel charges that so I was like yeah that’s fine. She confirmed with me that they only had suite rooms available and they costed more but we were fine with the price. I have now booked our room and we’re driving about 1.5 hours to this hotel. A couple hours go by and she calls me and says oh Expedia has a glitch and they have no rooms available now. I’m like but when I called you - you told me you had only suite rooms available and she goes oh well maybe it got booked by the time we got off the phone? I told her I had everything filled out on the app and that the room got booked within 20 seconds of us getting off the phone and me hitting submit on the room booking? Like all of the suite rooms? She was so rude and continued to make excuses and then hangs up the phone on us. First bad experience ever.

It’s right off the main road but once inside you can’t hear traffic or outside so that was nice. The room was good sized. For the price it was a good deal.

It’s right off the highway so easy access. The front desk people were very friendly. The room was clean and nice looking, comfy bed, great shower.
We thought breakfast was fine. Bagels, waffles, muffins, English muffins, cereal, fruit, juice, and coffee. Better than some breakfasts I’ve had while traveling on the road.

I was very impressed with how clean the room and how comfortable the bed was. The breakfast they offered was disappointing but other than that I was very happy with our stay.

The only thing I did not like a why I rated the staff and overall rating low was because they don't say anything when your booking that there is a 200$ deposit and the staff at the front desk said it would come right back into my account when I check out with is a lie it's been 3 days and it still hasn't gone back in my bank account

Check in was delayed by internet issues, fine, I went to get dinner. When I got back I was checked in with the promise of a late check out. But they gave me a key and room number of an already occupied room. Luckily I did not try to enter that room before the front desk clerk located me and gave me the new key and gave me the correct room number.

When I entered the room it was oddly furnished and STANK of bleach and other cleaning supplies. There is obviously room for a couch or something similar, and there are lights suggesting there should be a table or something in the corner but it was just empty.

This is a pet friendly hotel, but there is no where for your dog to do their business, no bags provided for clean up, and the pet fee is not mentioned where I booked this room.

It was right on the highway and close to gas stations, a grocery store, etc, but I would not stay here again.

The bed was the most comfortable I have felt in a hotel. The water pressure in the shower was phenomenal. There was no plug for the bath for my children and the shower curtain was inadequate at keeping the floor from flooding. The bubbles for the hot tub did not work.

Best beds in a hotel

Our stay was great and the rooms are clean and spacious. Best beds i have ever had in a hotel. Room was quiet even thought it is by hwy 101. The only negative we had was the homeless riff raff of people living by the end of the hotel was a little sketchy. We would stay here again

I was disappointed because my TV didn’t work the first night and then the second night I couldn’t get into the room because the key wouldn’t work so it was very inconvenient for me.
