Stayed for 2 nights and everything we needed were just there: towels for pools (different than the towels in the suites), drinking water, and a range of toiletries were available including a shaving kit. Room was great and the balcony had a rack to hang wet clothes.

With very limited options, or at least cheap options, in breakfast places in the Alona beach area, the free breakfast made our stay so much better. For the two breakfasts we had, some dishes were different on the second day. We paid for their dinner buffet as well and it also had a great variety of food available.

Staff from ALL departments were great - they were very accommodating and always available.

Despite the steep price, it was well worth it.

Nice stay, but not amazing. Negatives - There was an awful smell outside our room and in the stairwell of smelly food, It was constant for our whole stay. They should put cleaning wipes in the gym for people to wipe down machines in between use. Hotel rooms in need of refresh, sofa stained and room looks old. Positives - beach area, alway able to get a sun bed, lunchtime pool menu was good. Friendly staff. Top tip - breakfast is much nicer at the beach restaurant, the one in the hotel the tables are so close together in a tight space, you feel like you are eating with others, and service of clearing tables much better/quicker.

The resort is well placed on Alona beach. The staff there are AMAZING! They'd go up and beyond what other hotel staff would do.

The resort itself is laid out well with 3 pool areas. The beach side pool is such a
fabulous spot for chilling and taking in the sun while being 10 meters away from the sea.

We'd easily say this is the best beachside resort we have ever been to. Totally reccomend this hotel

We returned to the Henann Resort Alona Beach after first visiting in 2016. We were in a room back then and a villa this time around. What a beautiful set up! The bed was fantastic and my wife and I regularly slept 9-10 hours, just what we needed for a holiday break. The fridge was constantly stocked with Coke Zero per our preference, and the bathroom/shower was top tier. A private pool was a perfect spot to cool off and get sand off our feet before entering the bedroom. The property had a great breakfast buffet and we had many meals at Christina's, the on-site restaurant. We spent most of our time on the resort, with one stop at the Bohol Bee Farm, but really, you can just stay at the resort and have a wonderful vacation.

I was rushed off my room at check out when they said I could extend til 1 pm. Original time of checkout is 11 am. The front desk agreed that I can check out at1 pm but then they start calling my room at 12.30 asking if I’m checking out.
I was rushed out of my room. I asked if I can still avail the pool while waiting for my late flight and they said initially I can’t once I’m check
Out unless I pay 700 pesos to stay in the pool and
Wear a tag so the staff knows you’re not a hotel guest anymore. Also I was surprised that a Vienna sausage was serve as one of their breakfast dish. I stayed in villa 10
For 2 nights definitely not coming back to this island nor to this hotel. People beware if you decide to book this hotel or going to Panglao. Very expensive place unlike other resort island. Better choose Palawan or Siargao.

They have infinite pools, no chlorine use, nice clean beach line as well. Food serve at buffet’s were delicious lots of varieties and different dish everyday. The hotel is well maintained clean, safe very strict with visitors however policies were not properly explained so there was a bit of confusion. Parking is spacious. Everything is over priced. This hotel is away from the city it’s about 30 mins however there are vehicles you can use to travel however they’re overpriced as well. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel the price is not worth the stay.

A beautiful facility. We love Alona Beach area and this resort is very special. We had 5 rooms for our family all close together overlooking the pool. The rooms were excellent- everything you would expect from a top resort anywhere. The breakfast buffet is great. If you are not familiar with this area, when you exit the resort on the beach there are many bars and restaurants along the beach all with short walks.
One small negative was my boys all got told no passing their football in or around the pool even when no one else was anywhere near. Still highly recommended just don't bother bringing the football

The hotel neighbors around the property, their poor shanty house and their whole life is directly the view from when you open the door to go out of your room. Not exactly the sight you expect to see when you book and pay for a top hotel. The buffets were decent. Bring potable water or buy bottled water, the tap water will give you diarrhea just by brushing your teeth with it. My whole family got diarrhea most of our stay. They should clean and filter it. Again, just expectations from a top hotel.

Terrible place, tried to charge me for smoking in the room because an empty cigarette package was in the trash can from.night out at beach. Any way they can scam you they will..... this 3 star hotel claims to be 5. Outdated appliances with airconditioning that cant even get the room to temperature, mini fridges that do not work properly, beds that crack and squeak, and roaches in room. Balcony that fits 1 chair, or is so non private people walk by on a path in front of yoir room like a drive up motel. Pictures are truly decieving on the rooms they are outdated for sure.. it seems this place likes to overcharge for every basic service that if u walk 20 feet down the beach the service quality and price is better by far. The pools are nice but u could just walk in from the beach and not a sole would know because they truly have 0 security that pays attention as most of the guards just sleep on duty or watch women and stop no one. The breakfast is good however caters to korean tastes mostly. Drinks, are good but almost double the price for same atmosphere as the rest of the beach and similar quality. Ive been to.many resorts and was never disgusted like i was here..my advice, skip this has been place and book elsewhere, take a trike to alona or book a better resort down the beach that their pics might not look as great, they are real and definatly better in person. Not to mention if u throw away an empty pack of smokes in your trash they wont try to charge u $400.

Traveling with a family of 5 is never easy - in pretty much any place we’ve visited. Some places, however, make it easy. They are accommodating, understand the needs of families with small children and are willing to work with you.

Other places are not so great, and nickel and dime for as much as they possibly can.

Henann Alona is one of those places. I booked a room well in advance for 1, so I could be close to diving. Then, my family wanted to join. I asked the front desk how I can have my family stay. I was told any room available was good for two people and I’d pay extra for each person above that number. And, the most per room is 4. So essentially I’d need to pay for one full room to accommodate the one person they would not allow in my room. Which, btw, was a junior suite, one of the largest rooms they have with multiple beds, couches, chairs - you get the point - plenty of room. And I explained I’d be willing to pay whatever to have my whole family stay. So, to accommodate my 7 year old son I had to book another room at full price - which include multiple beds, toiletries etc.

If you’re looking for a family friendly, accommodating place, this may not be it. There are many other more friendly- and honestly - less greedy places than Henann.

Overall the resort was good. Buffet was fairly good sometimes food cold. Service at times could be very slow but overall friendly. The 2 bottles of water1 per person was not enough. Concierge service very limited. No where near the standard of quality hotels. Could rarely be helpful with arranging assistance. Even between the Henenn group. We were staying in another one in Boracay and trying to arrange transport pickup to transfer. They could not even do this internally. Very poor. At best this is a three star group in my eyes. Not where near levels of a Hyatt or other quality 5 star hotels.

Avoid. Customer service from booking to transfers, reception was very bad.

I booked the wrong days by mistake and 15 mins later I tried to amend it and it was denied so they kept the money even it was over a month in advance so I have to rebook. I find this extremely abusive and felt they stole the money.

My transfer was no ready on arrival even I had to send my arrival details and tickets several times as the booking process is bad. They never pick up the phone adding to numerous phone charges after being on the line for hours.

I booked a king bed room but when I got to hotel they messed up and gave me a twin for me and my wife in the noisiest area.

The hotel is overpopulated with dirty and outdated pools. It really felt like a fast food chain.

And to top it up they messed my transfer on my departure again.

Worst experience of my life compared to all the luxury hotel I have been to.

I don’t recommend. I should’ve chosen a more authentic accommodation.

The Hotel property was excellence, i stayed in a pool villa very comfortable. Easy access to beach. The food in restaurant was very good. Breakfast buffet was very good, all 5 star.
Service on the other hand 3 star. Villa gatw security guard was not there one night and then continued i to next day. Dont lock the gate if guests need to open and lock it. Laundry service poor. Laundry picked up 12a was advertised as be returned by 7p. My laundry picked up 9a and at 9pm, I needed to call and ask if it was lost?
Thats why service o ly gets 3 stars.

Main areas of concern is the strict no change no exceptions Henann booking policy, and also foreign currency exchange policy.
Guests hoping to exchange cash should be advised of Hennan policy of intense scrutiny of paper currency. Anything other than newly printed bills will be subject to rejection. In our case a barely discernable 1mm tear on on one bill and a very slight ink mark on another left us unable to exchange and caused inconvenience. Would otherwise be acceptable anywhere without question. The 'we won't accept your money' left a distinctive air of arrogance. This Hennan policy is no fault of the staff who were otherwise helpful but unable to exercise any realistic discretion.

Being in a relatively poor town context, this is ver nice resort, with several pools, access to a public beach, is very close from the airport and to island hopping tours. The service personnel is excellent and they are an army of employees taking care of every detail. There are three restaurants, 2 buffet and 1 a la carte. The prices are reasonable by American standards.

When we first arrived because we didn’t see much of the property because it was nighttime. But what we did see was a welcoming staff, beautiful lobby and an even beautiful room. The next day, we saw the rest of the Henann resort and we tell you what, it was beautiful!!! The beach, the pool, the bars etc. was outstanding. This trip was worthy. Will definitely come back again.
