Hotel location is overlooking the beach. Hotel needs an upgrade. Housekeeping re-trained regarding handling of towels to be re-used by room occupants. They should not be folded (touched) and moved from their original place in order for users to know which towel is theirs.

I stay at least 250 days a year in hotels; this is probably the worst breakfast I have seen in many years.
To put it simply; couldn’t find a single delicious item.
Juices are of the worst kind, just colors with chemicals. There are so many fresh fruits in this country, why can’t you put a real fresh juice…?
Breakfast is a big thing in a resort hotel, this one is unforgettable, and not because it was good…!
Look at the eggs, absolutely disgusting. All soaked in oil, just looking at it, you can lose your appetite.
What is the problem to cook an egg, to each guest, according to his liking, instead of putting such a disgusting show…
Second day, after realising there is nothing for me in this breakfast, I took off to a very nice cafe, a couple of kilometres away and had a great breakfast.
Booked a tour from the hotel tour-desk, just to realize later that everyone on the same itinerary had pad around half of what I did.
For the money paid, I surely expected at least a very decent breakfast.
Jew is not that good, you have a construction site against your eyes, just a very narrow view of the sea and the beach.

The swimming pool had hundreds of missing tiles.

The room was spacious although in need of a little TLC. Lovely balcony overlooking the sea, however, unfortunately there was building works right in front of the hotel. This started at 7am and unfortunately the noise lasted all day (this went on throughout our week stay). One of the workers also kept waving at me and shouting to me when on the balcony, which was a little disconcerting. I did discuss the issue with reception and the duty manager did say she would discuss the issues (time of day builders started work and the worker shouting and waving) with the owner. There was no detail on the website regarding works either which I also discussed with the manager, as this really should be highlighted so people can make a choice not to stay for this reason.

The hotel is on the beach front (small pathway between hotel and beach) but there is only a couple of sunbeds on the hotel property.

The pool is lovely and clean however lots of broken tiles. Approx 10 beds by pool.

You are within walking distance of lots of bars/restaurants but not close enough to be impacted by any noise.

Breakfast was not great for us (UK citizens) but looked like it catered well for Asian cultures. You could get an omelette/toast but unfortunately there was no breakfast tea/yoghurt/granola which is probably all that would be needed to cater for European clients.

Staff were fabulous, attentive and professional. The true assets to this property.

Location and friendly front desk and restaurant servers was the best part of this hotel. the pool, beach front are amazing specially when you have kids. what they need to improve is the manager/supervisor that handles the restaurant. he would think that he was trying to provide friendly service but he keeps suggesting things to order that we have already refused which makes it annoying & make us think that he's just after the money. also, not part of the hotel but, beware of persistent & annoying locals offering pearls. they keep asking you eventhough you have said no many times while you are just trying to have some relaxing time by the beach.

Check in and out was fast. Rooms was nice, clean. Bed and was nice. Bathroom was of a good size. Nice furnitures in the room. Staff in the front desk, restaurant and at the beach were amazingly helpful and very attentive to our need. The burger we orderred was surprisingly very good. Breakfast was ok. Overall the food we orderred was very good.

Great resort for a family. We had two rooms connecting for our three college age children. Loved the staff , Ewe at the bar was great! The waiters Michelle Carmen, Janelle, and many others were so friendly and helpful! We did the private tour to chocolate Hills. Our driver was Rex from Henrys tour group!. He is awesome.

My booking on Hotels.com said my room would be the top floor, which was not the case when I arrived. Misleading info on somebody's part. Our room had no slippers and we requested another small towel for the bathroom which never arrived. We went in the amazing pool each day. We also pulled about 7-10 loose tiles that we stepped on out of the pool each day. The hotel was clean and comfortable with very friendly staff. The buffet breakfast was also well done.

Entering the road to the Best Western was a little sketchy but once you are there you understand the location is right on the beach. very nice the staff was great and very accommodating. The food was very good (Best Hummus ever) and it ws very clean a very good overall vibe. the only issue we had were the showers had pulsing pressure and would turn off when the pressure reduced. but it was manageable. I would return to this property.

Hotel refused to refund dispite of typhoon warning

How to review this hotel, we didn’t even has a chance to stay there. But based on my experience with Hotels.com, I will not book this hotel in future if I go to Bohol Island.
Due to the typhoon warning signal 1 alert, we have to cancel the booking at last minute just before we about to board the ferry from Cebu to Tabilian, Bohol Island.
But Hotels.com and Best Western Ivywall Resort refused to refund us. I’m still waiting for one of the reply

Lower end of high luxury hotels for area.
Pool is nice, with a pool bar, but limited seating and lounge chairs. Not generally too crowded. Wasn’t generally hard to get a seat if wait a little, especially weekdays. Also generous on providing pool/beach towels for on/off resort use. Nice beach right in front of hotel with limited seating and umbrellas, but again wasn’t usually a problem to sit.
Limited menu but ok to good quality in general for Philippines. Slightly up charged compared to eating off resort for what you get.
Pro tip, stick to Filipino dishes or explore many alternatives nearby beachside.
Nice spa for massage, etc.. Also available in room.
Overall extremely friendly professional service.
Overall good choice without spending a fortune.

It has all your needs from pool setting to beach access and views. It’s very quiet but accessible to other places such as restaurants and nightlife. The only issue I foresee is the road to the hotel aimce it’s unpaved and the parking might become an issue if you were to have a celebration there. But aside from that it has all thr bella and whistles like gym, restaurant, pool incla kids section, and most importantly is the beach access.

Will not stay here again. Had we not paid in advance with no refund Expedia policy we would have checked out early moved to a resort. The noise, cold/lack of diversity food, slow service, drains backups, music too loud all day, unruly children running wild, and other things make it not palatable hotel for a couple wanting to relax peacefully when on vacation. No hot water. Water lukewarm at best with drainage back up. Shower no door and water from coming out when showering. Breakfast Buffet cold and catered only to locals. Food was NOT hot, despite being on burners (set to low!) or having fuel cans NOT lit which made us a little bit concerned still being in a pandemic and so many people touching the utensils not washing their hands. Service was slow. Ordered 2 drinks and fries, 45 minutes later the beers arrived warm and the french fries cold. Noise nonstop daily. If you like loud noise 24/7 this is your place. If you actually want to relax and have some peace and quiet this is not the place to be. Children jumping up and down above us running up/ down the hallways slamming doors at night playing. “Family friendly hotel” doesn’t mean let child(ren) run wild with no discipline or control when encroaching on the other guests. 100 peso tips to EACH cleaning person before they started cleaning incentive things were STILL missed such as putting replacing empty soaps, taking away dirty glasses, clean towels debatable pubic hair found. Hotels should have some catering for Americans.

Amazing hotel in Bohol

Hotel modern, clean, breakfast included, amazing staff. Games area for the kids, kids pool Area. Chairs for the hotel on the beach. I went with my husband and 3 kids and we had a perfect vacation at the BW hotel. Recommended 100% even if breakfast with limited choices bus still
