The entire property was beautifully, well-maintained and all the staff we encountered were beyond professional, hospitable and kind. The loft Villa we stayed in was perfect for our family with two teenage children. It was spacious and incredibly private with easy access to all the amenities BE Grand had to offer. Wish we could stay there forever!

The room was great. The pool area is beautiful. Everything else was okay. The upstairs bar was fine. The servers in the restaurants weren’t very attentive, and the food almost took an hour. The resort also doesn’t really have a nice sandy beach, so you have to take a shuttle to Alona. The spa was pretty good

This hotel was amazing, the rooms were fantastic, the breakfast buffet was delicious, but the staff were the best. I believe their names were Joan (there were 2 ladies named Joan) and Shem (I didn't get the spelling), they were the most helpful and nicest people ever at the breakfast buffet. I highly recommend this hotel.
The only drawback, they really didn't want you swimming in the ocean - the first time they said it was after 5 and no lifeguard was on duty, the second time it was the middle of the day and they said no lifeguard on duty. There were several groups wanting in, finally they brought a lifeguard and we were able to get in water. They really need to fix that - just let it be swim at your own risk. Snorkeling didn't seem to be that great, clear water but not much to see.

Everything was amazing, and I really liked the location: away from busy downtown, free shuttle to local hotspot, and more. Beautiful rooms, amenities, and other resort offerings. Customer service was great as well, except the room service. Took an hour for coffee and had to call 3 times just for plates and silverware.

The garden and the swimming pool is beautiful. The staff are very helpful and friendly from front desk, restaurant staff, and life guards. This is a very good hotel for families with children. We booked this stay at the beginning of our Philippines travel as a treat to ourselves. The grounds were immaculate, the room was spotless and the staff were incredibly welcoming and aimed to go above and beyond - especially Ronnell who drove the van to/ from Alona Beach. Unfortunately not all restaurants were open as advertised. During the day only the Food Court was open and at night only the Food Court and Monkey Bar (at the beach) were open. The snorkelling right on the main beach was incredible - plenty of fish and giant blue starfish.

A wonderful place to stay, a few little things I have to mention a few things:
1. As per advertisement snack and drinks in the room is replenish everyday, I have to ask for it the second day, then on our 3rd day, nothing was replenish, did mention my concern at the reception on our check out day.
2. Our room was half cleaned, have to call the reception for this, but it looks like there is only one housekeeping for a big hotel, felt bad for the gentleman.

Hope my concern gets looked after, sometimes it’s the little thing that are gets overlooked. Overall it was a pleasant stay, specially the team at the breakfast area. Thank you all, we’ll come back when in Bohol

We were upgraded to a villa after a 2 day booking in deluxe room and then the oceana suite, which we never actually got to see after being upgraded to a villa. We'd had a couple of maintenance issues with a plug socket and then a leaking lavatory in our first room.
The villa that we were upgraded to, was lovely, it was great to be able to step just outside into the private lagoon area. The kitchenette is tiny, consists of fridge, kettle and coffee machine with sink, but useful, though the addition of glasses as well as cups would be good, to consume the drinks from fridge, which is repleinshed daily at no cost, with coke, as sprite etc, though coke zero not an option, which I'd disappointing. The staff here are lovely, with a big shout out to the young guy who drove the shuttle, as always smiling.
FREE use if kayaks, was great, so many orange and blue starfish to see.
The last free shuttle finished back to resort at 20:30 from alona beach area, but it's easily walkable back to resort, we did this most nights.
Breakfast had very good selection, though I often found the cappuccino lukewarm and not strong enough, do would order a double espresso to add.
Loved going down to the beach steps each evening to see crabs and starfish.
Great place, would highly recommended.

This was the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. From the moment they picked me up at the airport to the moment they drop me off I was treated like a king.
The accommodations were fantastic I chose the Villa and it was beyond my expectations.
The food at the monkey bar was excellent as well.
Our villa host Keith was amazing. She made us feel warm and welcomed and helped us with anything we needed.
The hotel was just minutes away from Alona beach. The best part is that it wasn’t so crazy like the beach but it was very secluded and quiet. Our room was a two-story Villa with 2 bedrooms. It had a private pool right off of the patio.
The property was immaculate and pride showed everybody who worked there.
If you were going to stay in Bohol, this is the only place you should consider.

BE GRAND is an awesome resort. Staff is super friendly, room service is great. Our room is was the Oceana suite. The layout of the room was cool. You see the ocean once you walk in. Master room was big with a balcony and the bed was super comfy. Bathroom has windows seperating the toilet from the sinks and walk in shower. The closets are in the hallway with sliding doors that separate the room. Another balcony in the living area as well. The pools were nice overlooking the ocean especially the pools that surround the villas were pretty awesome as well. Breakfast was great, its not a huge buffet but its enough to get your day started. They also have paddle boarding and kayaking as well. Everything was great about this place especially the staff, super friendly! I would recommend this resort to everyone. The only thing that i didn't catch was the tax. The pricing for the rooms were good but pay attention to the tax. But yet again it was worth it.

Me and my girlfriend Enjoyed our stay very much, excelent facilities very clean and tidy. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet was excelent. We would definatly stay again and we would recommend BE Grand. We only had one little problem when we had a very long wait for a pizza in the restaurante on our 2nd night there.

Stayed for 5 nights at this resort. Leading up to the stay I emailed them 4 times to confirm my booking with no reply. Arrived at the resort with no issues except that I was expecting to pay a 2000 php deposit only to be told it was 20,000 php deposit. Having said that the resort was very clean with good facilities, the rooms were excellent and we enjoyed our stay. They only thing I would suggest is maybe a few evenings some form of live entertainment could be put on to entertain the guests

There is not a single thing I can say was good. The rate was super high, but AC wasn’t working, there was no hot water, rooms were full of pests, towels were dirty. If the staff speaks English they lie, but most don’t speak English. It’s far from the Alona beach ( there is no connection via beach). Food was quite unpleasing as well and if something wasn’t finished one day you could expect it to be reheated the next day. Waiting time for coffe was ca 30-40 min...

I Stayed in Hennan hotel 3 nights and BE GRand Resort 3 nights. but I would defenitely stay in this hotel if i ever go to Bohol again. This hotel is 5 min far away from Alona beach by tricycle. But this hotel provide small bus so that it didnt cost anything to get there. However, there were alot of people want to take this hotel transportation, so you should go hurry and stand a line.
This hotel also provide kayak, and this is the only hotel rent this kayak for free in Bohol. You could also watch movies outside in front of the beach at night. that was my favorite part about this hotel.
Other hotels near Alona beach are little bit expose to noise. but you will defenitely feel safe and traquil moment while you stay here. I didnt even wanna go Alona beach becuz this hotel provide everything including clean private beach. Also this hotel finish room cleaning service while you are having breakfast in the morning. when you came back from breakfast, everything has done. this was the wonderful thing ive never experienced. However they need to consider more of cleaning shower head. you also need to be careful about the water when you take a shower and Turn all the taps on until the red water gives out.

5-star hotel operating like a 2-star hotel

Supposedly a 5-star hotel but operating like a 2-star hotel. Some of the incidences and things as examples:
1. Upon check-in, I find on bedsheet some insects crawling. There were a few and it turns out flying ants were hatching eggs. I requested a room change but the hotel said that there's no room available and will change bedsheets. Bedsheets were changed but they have stains and don't look clean. When I try to sleep and lift blanket, there are hairs in clean bedsheets.
2. The hotel didnt change the room the next day and didn't check on the room conditions either.
3. The hotel insists that gala dinner which is mandatory and almost USD 90 per person is not yet paid. I shows hotels.com booking confirmation with small prints that the room rate includes the gala dinner yet the hotel says that they need to check. Next day, I go back to the hotel reception and nothing has been done on their side to check. Hence I ended up spending another 30 minutes at the reception for them to confirm that the room rate indeed already included the dinner. This would have costed me USD 180 if i didnt catch the small prints!!
4. They only provide bath towels and not hand towels. Never seen a 5-star hotel which only has bath towels and wash clothes.
5. They don't provide facial tissue box and their toilet paper is probably the lowest quality.
Overall, their facilities per se may resemble 5-star hotel but they don't operate nothing like 5-star hotel.

A memorable stay, with several blackout and water supply interruption, and not to forget the flushing system. Which I am fully understand on the resource capacity at Bohol, but I am impressed the staff can react well, althought seeing few tourist having the frustration on these issue. My family has lived in Bohol for 7 years not and every year my wife and I take a getaway for a week. Every time we do this we bring the children over for one day and just 2 hours to swim and enjoy the resort also. We always have to pay a fee which I understand. BE Grand Restort however is the only resort we have stayed at in the past 7 years that charge 999 per child for just 2 hours of swimming. They also will not allow them to swim after 5pm. The children are in school until 4pm. I understanding charging a higher fee for non guests but why 999 per child for a quest who is staying 4 nights? Needless to say we will never be staying at BE Grand Resort again and I will not recommend this resort to anyone else ever again. I'm only sorry we chose the wrong place before we knew their policy. I'm also sorry becauseI have been referring friends to this resort not knowing their \"lack\" of loyalty to their guests.

The staff were pleasant, the room was clean, the food was decent, and the gym was nice. Overall, I'll definitely be staying there again on my next visit. Three drawbacks: the water isn't clean, but that's sort of to be expected on a small island and they do warn you about the water; also, the water for the shower is mildly warm at best; and for regular customers, you're only allowed to swim in the murky green colored pool. But again, for all the small complaints, it's definitely the best bang for your buck! Except for the bars, they're grossly overpriced and serve watered-down drinks, which is about par for almost every other bar around Alona Beach.

Big Disappointment

For a 300+ cad/night stay, it was a total disappointment. It was supposed to be fully booked just 2 days ago but our room smelled musty & when we first turmed the faucets on, a brownish/yellowish water came out, as if the room has not been occupied for a long time. There was onky 1 soap and no hand towels, we didn’t call for these bec we yhiugh housekeeping would leave them after they cleaned our room the following day but nothing was left & our bathmat was not replaced and kleenex box was not refilled. There’s 3 restaurants but all share the same menu which is limited. The resort is on a cliff so no beach access and is quite from from Alona beach. They offer shuttle service but who wants to ride in their wet suits on? Beach water is cloudy & full of sea urchins & pool is cloudy too. The only good thing they have is their staff who has been very accommodating and friendly. However on our last night, we dined at the Lune roofdeck restaurant and there were 2 staffs who seemed to have managerial positions having some refreshments and were discussing there work frustrations up there in both filipino and english so my husband and I can clearly understand bec their voices were also loud enoughfor us to hear. We had to move to a different table farther from them. We really felt disrespected by that unprofessional display and we were not even acknowledged as we passed their table.

loved this hotel. My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and we were really happy with our choice. the staff is amazing, the food options are great, the facilities are thought out, so you can spend your whole day just chilling. we've also loved the fact that the hotel is not far from the town, however, if you want to have a feeling of a 'getaway' from the noise and business of the touristic areas - this is your place to be.
Huge kudos to the hotel for training the staff to be thoughtful of the environment and promoting this to the guests through little things like water stations, metal straws and free water bottles.
One thing thought that was a bit disappointing is the wifi, it's not very good in the room and is not stable around the reception.
However, if you just want to chill and forget about the real world, who needs internet :D
Anyway, highly recommend this hotel!

Check in was a bit slow, but they attended to me when they see me waiting for 15 minutes. The Aqua room was good and has a nice view. Aircon for my other Deluxe room was not working well, made complaint still not working until the last night. Breakfast spread not to our standard, not enough varieties for us from Singapore, more for the Filipinos choice. But I would recommend this hotel to anyone who will visit Bohol.

I loved this resort. Nothing was too much trouble. Every member of staff was great, especially Dane, Godwin, Emmy and Ann! They deserve a special mention. Dane really took an interest in our plans and itenary.Booked the suite room overlooking the sea. The room blew us away. It was so much better than I thought it was going to be , on level 3 at the end, magical . The room was more like an apartment! They even remembered my friend was a returning guest and marked the occasion with “welcome Back” sign and balloons in the room. Any requests we had they attended to effortlessly. Can’t thank them enough for making our Bohol stay magical! My hotel of choice In Bohol !

Better alternatives in the area

Hotel was clean, though resources are limited. First, there’s no sandy beach for you to enjoy since the hotel fronts a cliff to the sea. Second, only one chest-deep pool available to use by a regular guest since the pool by the restaurant is for diving lessons only and the pool by the villa is for villa-guests only. Third, limited choices for dinner -their food hall is only for groups with reservations and their lawn buffet is ridiculously expensive -I was informed 1,800 Philippine pesos per person ($33/person), and this only leaves one Italian restaurant on the premises for you to eat from. Fourth - they have only one functioning elevator -the rest was broken/not working at the time. Fifth -they are very strict as to the number of persons in each room- I have to pay extra for my minor child whereas, other hotels in the area like Hennan and Bellevue would allow your minor child to stay with you for free. Had I known that I would be paying for this stay only to enjoy ONE unremarkable swimming pool, I would have gone somewhere else. The view- you can get from any hotel, the breakfast buffet was so-so. There’s better places for you to go in Panglao with better prices and better amenities. I’m never going back to this place again.

Expensive food and drinks, stupid policys

On arrival at the hotel everything seemed nice, however on check-in it all changed, they will read you a set of rules that you have to abide by, however the Chinese and Koreans do what ever they like. There is only 1 place on the entire site that you can smoke at, your not allowed to smoke anywhere else (not even your own balcony!) Then we get to food and drink, you are not allowed to bring in food or drink from outside the resort. The reason they do this is so that they can charge ridiculous prices at there own bars and resteraunts, i tried the food and personally it was small portions and not very good for how much you are paying. I ended up leaving the resort and going to a local resteraunt up the road, where everything was a 3rd or price and the food was 10 times better and bigger portions. The hotel room itself was clean minus stains on the bathroom floor and the awfull smell coming from the fridge! The room was very comfortable and had lots of amenities. Unless you get a private villa you can only use the main swimming pool (which was very hot and not very clean) or the children's pool. The beach turned out to be a artificial beach and the if you want to enter the sea you will slip over as soon as you step in the water as there is a very slippery rock base. Overall this hotel is way overrated and personally i would give it a 3 star, and you can stay somewhere else for half the price and it would be twice the hotel!

Our stay was fine. Nothing impressive though. The bars close very early in the evening. The hotel cannot manage their guests e.g. the Koreans or Chinese guests are vely loud and noisy all over the place and the resort did nothing. We were also guests at the resort and we were disturbed by the loud noises of the other guests.

If u prefer peace, this hotel is highly recommended. The pool is of a good size. There is a gym with the necessary equipment for a good workout, good space. The room is basic but comfortable. U need to call housekeeping if u want cleaning as it is not routinely checked on a daily basis. That goes the same with replenishment of supplies. The staff are nice and respectful. If u want to go to the beach u can walk towards Alona beach but u have to exit the hotel’s main entrance. The hotel has got a beach pool fir snorkeling. Sadly there is no sandy beach or lovely shoreline within the hotel property itself.

킹베드 트윈방으로 예약했는데 방없다고 배째란식으로 원배드방 배정해줬어요
거기다 더 최악인건 변기가 막힌줄 알았더니.. 알고보니 물색이 오줌색일 정도로 녹물이 엄청 심해서 양치후 룸에 구비되있는 생수뜯어서 입행군다고 입에 넣었더니 알콜이더라고요.. 술인지 약인지 뭔지는 모르겠지만 해도해도 너무 하던데... 청소하면서 생수가 뜯긴건지 안뜯긴건지 확인도 안하고 고객들한테 방을 내주나요? 두번다시는 갈일도 없지만 주변사람들한테 절대 비그랜드 비추라고 할겁니다

Beautiful resort & room!

I stayed in the Deluxe Aqua room (double beds) which has direct access to the pool, and the room is very spacious. Each bed was queen-sized! And there is also a bath tub in the room.

Hotel staff are amazing. Everyone is friendly and always smiling and so incredibly helpful. The staff who checked us in was Eddie, and we loved him so much!

The resort is a little deep in from the main roads & little shops outside, so we did not venture out by foot especially when it gets dark (the roads are not very well illuminated) but in my opinion everything you need is already available on the resort (i.e. multiple restaurants and bars, big pools, the beach, cabanas, water sports, spa etc).

There is a free shuttle that brings guests to Alona Beach (which is only 10mins drive away) but these run every 1 hour and the service ends at 7pm.
We did not want to wait for the shuttle so we chose to use the Tricycle service to Alona. It costs only 100 pesos per way.

We booked an Island Hopping & Snorkelling tour with the resort and the tour guide on our boat was simply fantastic.

We were also given free 30-mins for Kayaking & Paddle boarding by the hotel (and I believe this is available to all guests).

I would say the foods from buffet (i.e. seafood BBQ buffer dinner and breakfast buffet) are only average in quality but the a la carte foods from the restaurants are pretty good (we had the BE Grand burger and seafood paella which were both fantastic)

The hotel itself is nice, for the most part the staff is very friendly and courteous. The restaurant workers and grounds people are wonderful! My complaint is for the housekeeping in our rooms - they did not replenish the toiletries, bathroom rug and mugs in our room. I had to call the lobby 3 separate times to get the items. It took almost an hour just to get the mugs sent up to the room.
Other than that - great property and staff. It was very enjoyable

Would not stay again

Hard to know where to start, this hotel has the potential to be a great hotel but they haven’t done it.
Firstly, it’s only in the small print that tells you on arrival you have to pay php 2000 per night deposit, at lot if your staying a week or longer.
Secondly, room was nice but a bit tired. It had a leak above the bathroom that dripped all night long, reported this daily bit was never fixed, as you can imagine it keeps you awake listening to it.
Thirdly, the towels are a disgusting grey colour, need to be replaced.
Fourthly, had seafood in the restaurant, muslcles were full of sand and couldn’t be eaten. Staff not good at replacing food and by the time they did we didn’t want to eat any longer, they still charged for the food.
Finally, room was not cleaned. Had to go to reception three time to request it be cleaned, finally done at 7pm.
Asked to speak to manager on two occasions and was informed on both occasions no manager on site. I thought all hotels had to have a duty manager!?
If I was at home in England I would have been asking for my money back, do not stay here!!

Check in was slow. Rooms were large and nicely decorated. However, towels were old looking, we had to ask for wash cloths, they do not provide hand towels and bath mats. Water was a little yellow and made the toilet look like it wasn’t flushed. Beautifully landscaped, many picturesque areas but no beach. You can see a lot of star fish in the water. Food was great and the breakfast was sumptuous!

Good value for money, relaxing, location

Stayed for 4 nights at the Oceana room on 4th floor. Fantastic view. Room cleaned daily, free amenities, friendly cleaning staff. In one of our beds was a woodworm, clearly visible by the small wood grains on the floor.
I also noticed 6 lose tiles at the entrance of the room. They were moving when walking over them.
The bathroom is clean and very spacious with separate shower and tub.

Good selection of buffet breakfast items. Take out boxes were provided when we had an early day trip. We didn't try lunch and dinner here.

Proximity to Alona beach: 15 minutes walk. A trike ride cost 100 Peso for tourists. a total rip off compared to local prices and 1 minute drive. Hotel shuttle to Alona is minimum 200 Pesos for the small bus or 50 per head. The driver and hotel door man seem to work together somehow. They were just laughing when 7 people got on the bus for 350 total...

Private beach is secluded from others and nobody can walk via beach to the hotel. No sand beach, only rocks sea grass and few corals. But this is visible on the management hotel photos and I knew it.
Very little to see when snorkelling in front of the hotel.

Good value for money when I booked. but for the same or bit higher price i would try a different hotel.

One of the finest hotels in Bohol!

My lady and I enjoyed staying (two nights) at the BE Grand very much! Upon our arrival, we were provided a \"coupon\" for a complimentary alcohol or non-alcohol drink. We were satisfied with everything about this hotel. There's a decent size gym with air con and plenty of exercise machines. There's also a nice air conditioned rec room with billiards (pool table), air hockey (wasn't working very well), and other games. The swimming pool was spacious and clean. It was no more than four feet deep. I had no problem with that. There was a small knee deep pool off to the side. Balls and a floating basket were available. Our room was nice and clean and a good size. WIFI and TV reception were good. The buffet had ample choices...mostly seafood and American food. As expected, the buffet included lots of desserts. The Filipino staff as usual were courteous, helpful, and professional. Transportation to White Beach was available via the hotel (limited though, first come, first served) and tricycles. The tricycle drivers charged 100 pesos for two passengers one-way. The only disappointment that we experienced was that although the hotel sits next to the ocean...there really isn't a beach that you can roam and play on. Kayaking was offered. There are plenty of places to sit and oversee the ocean. Expect a hefty deposit per night. I believe it was something like 3000 pesos per night. This is an expensive hotel to stay at. Would we stay here again? Of course!

Mixed reviews here. The best part of the stay is the people in the resort. Very friendly, accommodating and always trying to do their best.

The not so good include checking in process where they issued same room key to other guest. The result, other guest came in our room while we were resting. Cleanliness needs to be checked as roaches visited us in the bathroom and some funky smell came out of the shower.

Decent, but presents much better online

First off, this is not a beach resort and you cannot walk to a beach from the property. It is oceanfront, but no beach. It faces a low cliff and they have cut stairs down to the water, but the ocean off the resort is rocky and not really swimmable. The oceanfront area is nice, but swimming in the ocean is not practical. The other option, the pool area is limited. While we were there the water was green.
Second, they advertise a number of dining options, but for most of our stay only one was open. The 'roof top' location lists as seasonal, but on inquiry it is never open to the general public, kept locked, and only available to rent for special occasions. The Boat House was closed, as was the ‘Food Hall’ though it did open on our last day. The Monkey Bar has the same menu as The Bridge, except they will only bring pizza and limited menu items the 100 feet down to the Monkey Bar. After our first three meals we had tried pretty much everything they offered. So as a destination resort where you don't have other nearby options, they don’t give you a lot of options on site.
Finally, the rooms are nice in appearance, but without amenities and our room was moldy setting off my allergies. Leaving the patio door open for ventilation resulted in a mosquito invasion.

A really quiet stay

Hotel lobby was quite dark although the furnishings were of excellent quality. It took at least 30 minutes for us to have our room ready and the hotel wasn’t at full capacity. Food was above average but wasn’t that varied. The pools could use sprucing up to make it more enticing.

Quiet and clean hotel

The hotel has many facilities, very clean and the food is great. It is near at Alona Beach but need a shuttle service to fo there. The beach shore is very rocky and it is not swimmable unless you have to go to a deeper section. It has what is seems a transported white sand near the shore.

This hotel is the newest here in Panglao Island. I booked at a Oceana Suite and was surprised at how big the room was and how nice the furnitures and cabinetry were done. The view from my room is awesome with the ocean breeze . The staff are nice and courteous. I have nothing else to say but what a wonderful experience we have with this hotel. I will definitely come back and stay at this resort. I have tried a few of the four and five star hotels here in Panglao but BE Grand is at the top!

I love this place! The rooms was clean,nice and spacious. Modern interior and exterior design, all amennities are amazing. Pools are big and taste salty but its ok! The breakfast buffet at the Food Hall was amazing and offered a lot of options. The rooms that we got has a perfect view of beach its really relaxing. I would reccomend this hotel to my friends and family

Excellent accomodations for an outstanding price.

Not enough can be said in praise of the hotel staff. They made every aspect of the stay convenient and comfortable. From the front desk quick and professional check in and check out to the to the superb dinning and room service. Honesty and integrity of the staff is without question. I lost my watch and it was quickly found and returned to me before I realized it was missing the next day by the pool staff. The security staff was always present and alert to ensure the safety and peace of mind for the guest stay. The only small thing I had with the stay was a small technical difficulty with the in room safety deposit box not working and the toilet continually running. Both instances were quickly and professionally resolved within a few minutes of my letting the staff know. I would recommend this hotel to everyone with a discerning inclination for comfort and security.

Over rated Hotel

This hotel is nice but a little bit over-rated. If you like tranquility this is your place as it's secluded away from the hustle and bustle of Alona Beach. Breakfast is not so impressive, limited choices mostly catered to Asians. If you like to have dinner, you better take a tricycle and head out to Alona where you can have lots of choices at an affordable price. This hotel will charge you about 900 pesos or about $26.00 CDN for buffet dinner.

The large pool is only 4 feet deep but the water is warm and relaxing. The kids pool is made of lime stone and about 2 feet deep. The unpolished stone will cause abrasions on your kids knees/arms if they try to swim in the kids pool. If your kid is 5 years and below, better don them a life jacket and let them swim at the big pool. Don't get fooled by the infinity pool going around the hotel, that is exclusive for Villa guest only which I find it ridiculous because they could also swim at the big pool.

I experienced ant issues in my room but they did help resolve my issue by relocating me and comp my laundry and food ordered. The breakfast included was really good and the amenities they had were satisfactory. Couple of issues is their bars close too early 10 pm and there is no easy access to Alona beach even though it was right beside it. No activities if they consider themselves a resort.

Staying at BE grand was a delight, the staff was friendly, the facilities were great, the only downside was that our bed had ants crawling all over it, we couldn't find where they were coming from. We also got a few visits from cockroaches when we were sleeping, which was not pleasant at all.

We stayed in an Oceania Suite which was amazing. There is a huge pool with the addition of a separate dive pool for suba training. There is a great relaxing area over looking the sea... very calm.
The breakfast in the food hall is amazing... fresh food and presented well.
staff are super friendly and always have a smile, morning, noon or night.
The only disappointment was the Valentines day dinner... it was on the roof and it rained... there was no alternative seating arranged. The service for the dinner was slow... 20 minutes in between courses. When it's a 5 course meal that's a long time. a dinner that should have been 1.5 - 2 hours went on for over 3 hours... as a result we had to cancel plans for after dinner.

Overall great and looking forward to my next visit.

Good but not good enough for that price

1. No beach, the nice Alona beach is 15 minutes walk away but the path is not an easy one (bushes and forest). The hotel does not provide a shuttle, if you don't want to walk, you need a taxi which is 100PHP each way.
2. The hotel itself is in perfect shape, mostly Korean tourists with very odd dressing style though. The gym is perfect. The elevators have touch panels which are not very sensitive.
3. Food has very limited selection, only one restaurant which has the charme of a food court (it's even called 'food hall'). The quality of the food is not good, very fatty. The breakfast choices are limited to Korean and Chinese liking. Only one other place (bar) is open. The sea side bar and the other restaurant are closed. As the hotel is very isolated, the various restaurant options at the Alona beach are out of reach.
4. The service is friendly but innocent, i.e. inexperienced. In room dining is apparently not very common and it took us a while to even get the menu.

Overall: a hotel in excellent shape, mediocre service, no beach and terrible food. I recommend strongly a hotel at the near Alona beach, like the Henann. The Be Grand is 2x overpriced for what it offers and compared to the Henann far better, almost 50% cheaper).

Beautiful hotel with nice amenities but no beach. If you want. Beachfront hotel where you can swim this is not it. If you peace and quiet and a pool, this may be your place. However, it is way overpriced and you have to take a tricycle or van to dine elsewhere or to swim at a beach.

No beach poor service

No beach so you would expect a free shuttle at regular intervals to alona beach, very limited food choices and with that there will be a number of items not available , playground for kids has a charge of PHP500! One of our rooms wasn't ready til after 430 pm and they can only extend check out by 30 mins and locked me out of my room before 12 noon. Needs a lot more training on what good customer service is
