Nice place for an overnight. Splash Harbor is a small pool and splash pad area but very nice. Pool has algae growing on the bottom edges. Bathroom in the pool area was very dirty and no
Mat on the floor so very slippery. The room was standard. Carpet was very old and worn and musty smelling. Front desk folks seemed a in knowledgeable and overwhelmed. The breakfast was good and the lady that hosted that was fantastic.

My son and I did a mommy and me mini trip so we came to Splash Harbor. When checking in it went really smooth. They explain the pool hours and how to get to my room very well. They even recommend staying hydrated in the pool because of the heat. No issues with other guest and my son even made some friends while there. House keeping was quick to fill supplies for the room which help the flow of the vacation keep going. Definitely will be going back.

Disgusting and Completely Unacceptable

I would not recommend Comfort Inn Splash Harbor to anyone, especially families with children.

We arrived around 1:00 a.m., and because my child was exhausted, we had no choice but to stay. Otherwise, I would have left immediately.

The hotel was filthy. The carpets throughout the property were so dirty they appeared black instead of their original red color. There was garbage left by the entrance, and the dining area chairs were visibly stained and dirty. The pool area, which is supposed to be the main attraction for families, had what appeared to be mold and was not properly maintained.

To make matters worse, the breakfast was inedible. The eggs were dry and rubbery, and the sausage looked and tasted unappetizing. The overall cleanliness and condition of this hotel were unacceptable.

This property needs a deep cleaning and significant maintenance before marketing itself as a family-friendly destination. I am extremely disappointed and would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone traveling with children.

Staff was great. Waterpark was awesome, well maintained, and well staffed. Breakfast was great. Well stocked, nice selection, replenished quickly. Eating are is small. We had to take ours back to our room. Overall, very good stay for the money.

Our room was clean and there were no issues. Grandsons had a ball at the waterpark, which was well staffed and well maintained. Breakfast was good. There are plenty of options and staff kept it well stocked. We were satisfied with it. Staff was great and the property was well maintained. If you want a resort experience, you can pay triple the amount and go to Kalahari or Great Wolf, and pay for breakfast. If you want a nice stay and a nice waterpark without breaking the bank, this is your place.

“Honestly, this place was excellent for my daughters. One of them is sensitive to noise, and the peaceful atmosphere this place offers is amazing. We spent the entire day at the pool and had a wonderful time. The breakfast was delicious, and the service and staff were outstanding as well. We will definitely come back without hesitation.”

Staff was very nice, excellent breakfast selection. Hotel is a bit run down, our rooms were on the main floor and musty smelling. Shower heads were crusty from mineral build up. The beds in one of our rooms were very stiff and uncomfortable. The other room they were soft and comfy. Pool area is great and kept us busy for and entire evening. For what we paid, couldn't ask for too much more.

Lots of families due to the pool and game rooms. Kids running up and down the halls, slamming doors, therefore very noisy. They charge a $75 late checkout fee!

This is a local family destination from what I could tell. It's rather shabby with a young kids' pool. The pool has sprinklers, little slides, and basketball hoops. The deepest part is 3 feet.
I stayed here at the end of May and it was noisy and crowded. Leave this one for the parents of toddlers and book somewhere else.

We came for the weekend and had so much fun with our kiddos (age range 2-6 y.o.) We spent several hours in Splash Harbor. The hot tubs for the adults are a plus! The kids absolutely loved going down the slide. The kiddie pool was 1ft 6in. deep perfect for our 2 year old. Splash Harbor is opened until 10pm. There’s an arcade, make sure to bring cash otherwise there is a atm in the lobby area that’s opened until midnight. The room was decent, very clean. Breakfast is included and it was good! Overall we will definitely be coming back.

The breakfast was good. The rooms were nice and clean. My coffee pot didn’t work. Staff was really friendly. The ones I’ve seen the splash Harbor was nice. It’s getting a little dated needs refreshed in some upgrades. The spa hot tub was cooking temperatures pretty good. I’ll go back.

The hotel is great for kids! They had a great time! However one person on the staff was very rude!

They told my wife that she needed a wristband in order to sit in the pool area. I said: NO PROBLEM… But than I noticed that some of the white guess didn’t have a waistband. Keep in mind… that we’re the only black family. I took out my phone and recorded the folks without wristbands and showed it to the lady at the front desk! I didn’t make a scene and told her that: if you’re going to enforce the rules… ENFORCE IT FOR EVERYONE… NOT JUST THE BLACK FAMILY! She blew it out of proportion and called the police on me!

They said that I made the guess uncomfortable and that I can’t video anymore! I pointed out that many people were videotaping their kids!

The hotel guess had no issue with me recording until the lady at the desk made a big deal about it!

She would not give me her name.. neither would she let me speak to the manager!



The place is great but she needs to be suspended without pay!

Even after the police left… I saw multiple people without wristbands.

My daughter had a similar experience last year!

**P.S I WILL BE CALLING 19 NEWS!

This unfortunate experience will not stop me from visiting again!

My point is: treat all the guess the same and don’t single anyone out!!

Black, white, asian, Mexican, Japanese, Chinese, Puerto Rican.

You get the point!

Unable to check in right away and was told there is no guarantee that rooms would be ready by check in time at 4pm. Sat in the lobby and waited while they continued to room other people checking in. I reserved a double queen. After almost an hour of waiting and watching many get room assignments, I asked why I was waiting while others were being roomed, no valid answer provided. Room was dirty outdated and moisture on the bedding and carpets. Would not recommend, as the pool water was not clear almost a tan hue to it. For the cost, better off booking another hotel with a clean pool and helpful staff.

The place is old, pics were a bit deceiving.
Old property but maintained well.
Break fast had minimal options with decent quality. Indoor pool was definitely a plus for kids.

Visited with our grandson. Room was adequate but dated, cracked tile in bathroom and sink was slow to drain. Pool was very crowded, not sure what solution would be except try not going on the weekend if you want to enjoy the pool. Checkin staff very friendly.

The property is older but well maintained. Bed was fairly comfortable. Breakfast okay. Great place for families with children as their swimming area is perfect for the kids! They were having a blast. Next door is the Der Dutchman. A great Amish restaurant, bakery and gift shop. A happy ending for a weary traveler!

The pool was full as the hotel was sold out BUT everyone was friendly and the kids had a blast. The pool staff & laundry team worked hard to keep up with clean towel demand but they did it! The staff was prepared for the large crowd at breakfast; it was more than a continental offering. The rooms were clean and simple--exactly what we needed for our family outing. This place is a little gem for families with small children for a quick reprieve from daily grind.

I wouldn’t go there again just wasn’t the cleanest and like kids went to get pop machine didn’t work just rude we came night early and did check out on day reservation because I got really sick and can’t get my money back i would never go back I would’ve never asked for it but I was sick and had three kids with me and pool area just touched rude people get mad at the kids for swimming in there place. But the worst was because I got really sick and couldn’t stay second night but no money back not even maybe half and the night when came in early the lady told me a price and when got there was 40 more and she said I don’t know who told you that I thought be great place for grandkids they didn’t like it

The breakfast was pretty good. It was more then I expected! Cheese omelettes,b sausage, fried eggs, yogurt, cheese sticks, pudding, hot and cold cereal, muffins, fruit ! Pretty good! And the water park was pretty cool! A little small but we made it work! The lady that watching over it was a little snappy but it all worked out

The room smelled like dog, the carpet was wet in the room, the tv remote did not turn on off the tv,floor lamp bass was rusty, bathroom needed repaired toilet seat and tile was missing. On the good side the grandkids enjoyed the pool it’s big enough to enjoy and small enough you can keep watch of your kids. I don’t think the pool towels were washed they just put them in a dryer and at times no towels were available. Most important my grandkids enjoyed the pool. The breakfast was typical, hotel was busy so the eating area and trash was not kept

Yes the breakfast was good the amenities on property was not good the water is dirty it makes you itch and it’s so much chlorine in the water it gives you a headache and burns your skin and eyes I checked out a day early the theme is cute but the property needs a lil more work

The hotel was pretty clean overall which is a huge plus. The staff was great. One of our complaints was the noise, even though it is a kid centred hotel, the noise travels terribly, and there is constantly banging, running, thumping and continuous loud noise as if someone else is in your room. Our hotels have bumps and noises, but this was exceptionally loud. This can be difficult with small children and naps. Our other complaint was that the beds and pillows were extremely uncomfortable to the point that my husband and I were honestly barely able to sleep.

Upon checking in I felt unwelcome due to the fact that I had booked our rooms through Expedia. Reason I felt his way was how the desk receptionist spoke to me as \"booking through a third party.\"
The Inn needs a complete update, carpet in both rooms was stained, the door into bathroom had to be closed forcibly to shut, interior adjoining door squeaked upon opening and closing. I would not have stayed here if not for the splash park for the children. They had a great time.

A little run down. Elevator broken. I booked two rooms and my sister in law booked one, her mom booked one as well. For some reason the front desk decided to give my two rooms adjoining to them. They said, “because we had the same last name” which was odd why they would then put the second room I booked way down on the other end of the hall? Four rooms total, mine were split up. The room itself was small and old carpet but splash harbor is super cute and fun for the kids!

It’s an older hotel. A little outdated but clean. The pool area was decent. The majority of the first day the splash pad wasn’t working. The second day a guy walked around the pool area with a gun the entire day. And another was smoking weed. Reported it to front desk. They seemed concerned but nothing was done about it. Breakfast was the best part of the hotel. Aside from the arcade which was a pleasant surprise. Next time we come we will likely stay some place else. It was quite crowded. But that’s to be expected with them having the splash pad.

Staff member who was in the pool area on 2/16 evening was aggressive towards the kids in the area playing and got into an argument with a parent over how she treated the kids. Did not realize there was not an elevator which is hard with a handicap parent and room on second floor. Was told to park on one side of the hotel to be close to the room button ended up being on total opposite side of hotel.

The staff is very friendly but the rooms and facilities are definitely older. No elevators!! While the bathroom seemed clean the rest of the room could use a deep clean. Hasn’t been dusted in awhile. It’s sad to see that the splash harbor is so run down because it looked like it was once nice. Other than that the beds were comfortable, seemed safe and smelled okay.

Our bathroom mirror was dirty, the sheets were thin and the pillows were awful. It was way over crowded but the kids did enjoy it. Breakfast was a long wait because of course all the kids wanted waffles but they had you make them instead of having them made.
