The cottages and turtle pond were charming. If you intend on cooking your meals on site, I recommend bringing everything you think you may need for cooking and eating a meal.

Check in was ridiculous. I called the number I was given in the email 6 times, texted multiple times and called the number to spruce hill 3 times trying to check in. Finally got ahold of someone and gave her my last name and was told the cottage number. I said do we walk in? Is there a key code? All I got is walk in there is a key in there. The place is a dump. Junk everywhere outside the cottages. The room could have been cute, but the amount of junky furniture all around collecting dust and bugs all over it. Bugs all over the room (luckily no bed bugs). The room smelled musty. I was so excited for the jetted tub, until I realized there was no plug. I messaged the number at 7pm and got no response. At 10pm they sent a message saying sorry I left a plug on your front porch. The whole point of getting this room was for the jetted tub! The heat in the cottage was like the heaters in a hotel room. The thermostat must have been broke. The heat wouldn’t stop unless you shut the whole unit off. So it was either sweat to death or freeze. Oh and walking from the car to the front door was a sloppy mess, I understand the snow is melting but literally had to walk through a mud puddle to get in. I love hidden gems…. This is definitely not one of them! 0/10 would not recommend. Reminds me of hills have eyes!!!

The property was overall worn down but was very peaceful and quiet. Rooms were comfortable though small, especially with so many larger pieces of furniture it was difficult to find places for luggage. We also had an ant issue in our cabin. Checking in was confusing since there was no front desk or office and ended up having to call the number. My cell service was spotty so this was stressful as noone picked up the first time.

Please update we loved this but now do not.

This was our 2nd time at this property and a different cabin. Unimpressed. First time we loved it. This time our key was not in our room so had to wait until the next day. Our heater ran non stop so our room was HOT. The thermostat obviously didn’t work. The person staying in the other side was knocking on the wall at 2am so I thought someone was in our room. We left at 3:30 am 2nd night because it was so noisy and uncomfortably HOT. I didn’t say anything because it was 2am and I wasn’t bugging someone in the middle of the night as I was leaving for that very reason. Just a weird stay. It desperately needs updated. Just not what I expected.

There was a huge foam topper on super old mattress that was horribly uncomfortable and I felt unsanitary and the water would only turn to hot in bathroom sink and kitchen. Shower head needs replacing. We left early so we could go home to sleep in our own bed.

Nice that it was pet friendly, a good place to walk the dog. Also liked that it's a duplex and our son and his wife shared the other side.. we would definitely book here again. And a Very comfortable clean bed !!

Room was very clean and area was pet friendly. I like to take my dogs on trips and I had plenty of dog walking space. Close to grocery as well. If you are going to Mansfield this is a great stop!

Quiet and exclusive. The owners made sure each guest was well taken care of and welcome. We had a few issues with lighting in our cottage, but otherwise everything was working & comfortable. The jetted tub was very refreshing after a day kayaking & sight seeing. Really enjoyed our stay!

First it is so hard to check in but what was really bad was 200 dollars to get for one night and the hot tub in the room does not have enough hot water to use. We got this place for our wedding night and was a big waste of money we would of been better saving our money and just going home. We will never be back and if you are going to charge so much need to make sure things are working in the room.

Pictures are deceiving. Seems like this place hasn't been fully taken care of for years & almost looked abandoned - We booked last min. for my hubbys birthday. When we arrived we didn't know where to go, so we drove around. There were no signs. We went back down the drive to the house and 2 peolple were pulling out of the driveway looking at us like we didn't belong there. Hubs asked where we were supposed to check in & they said to follow them. So we followed them to our cottage & they gave me a number to call if we needed anything. We spent the majority of our night texting the number & trying to get a Wifi signal. It never worked which was tough with 2 kids. We had horrible cell service and had to put our phones in a certain spot to get a signal. The place looked nice at first but we soon realised it wasn't very clean. It smelled like cheap air freshener, even the beds. It was so strong. We wanted to air it out but multiple windows didn't have screens, which is so dangerous. Toilet hadn't been cleaned, tub jets were filthy , cobwebs & spiders, small TV, dirty coffee maker & only McDs mocha flavored coffee? It was so hot. The air was on full blast but it was LOUD & made weird sounds that woke us up throughout the night. Uncomfortable beds, thin pillows & only a sheet & thin quilt, freezer was dirty and had an opened coke & opened old bag of ice in it. Didn't have the time or patience to complain over the phone when we checked out so we just got the heck out of there.

I called 30 minutes before check in to make sure everything was good for us to arrive at 3:00. They said yes and the key would be hanging on the hook behind the door. We arrived and a lady came running towards us and said can I help you. We are here to check in. We are not ready for you. The headboard to the bed needs to be put back together and we need to get you a wi-fi tower and antenna. It was not cleaned, refrigerator was rusted not updated at all. Even the toilet was not cleaned. Bugs in the bath tub We waited to be told we would have to be moved because of a water issue. Staff was very unprofessional. After driving for 10 hours no one wants to have to deal with a situation like this. The lady that checked us in and the maintenance guy were always fussing even while I was on the phone with her. The pictures on the website were very deceiving. The grass and weeds were so high could barely see our little dog. Would definitely not recommend this place.

Cozy little place near race track

I'm not sure what the proper way to check in is. The address takes you to an abandoned looking building. I didn't go up to it. I elected to call from the driveway after seeing no apparent signs or indicators of where to go. This was approximately 1830 (6:30 pm). When I called I eventually got the host. They seemed a bit flustered and confused. They told me a cabin number and said they would meet me there. It appeared as they were there and cleaning/installing some dangling lights but the bed and getting the room ready for us. Again this is very late in the evening compared to typical 3-4 check in.

It's a very awkward meeting. We go in and realize we didn't have a key. I ask about it and am told they will bring one. I wait around for 30 min and then decide to just go about my agenda.

The jacuzzi tub was great.

Need was pretty good too. The reason I think they were just installing those hanging lights is one, when I went to put my hand under the pillow I stuck a twist tie and two the two beside lamps had no bulbs in them. there were various bulbs missing throughout the room. The TV controller also barely worked, maybe batteries?

Eventually I got a message saying I could get my key on the way out in the morning. We ended up leaving the place unlocked as or departure was very early. Later that day I received a message saying the find the door unlocked and left a key when they attempted to deliver the key.

We left the next morning.

The surrounding area was beautiful. The property itself was disgusting. From walking into the first “cabin” and immediately asking for a refund to being shown a second cabin and deciding to try it even though it was pretty disappointing and had multiple candles burning to cover up the smells. After the airing the place out for awhile from the headache inducing candle overkill, smelling body odor from previous guests on the bed and then when we turned the lights down at night being greeted by a host of cockroaches. They were closed for the night so when I went to check out the following morning and informed them that they had cockroaches, the individual on the phone said “thanks for letting us know again” when I had never told them in the first place so I’m assuming a previous guest also reported it. And then the audacity to not offer a refund or even just apologize. I’m flabbergasted by the low quality cabin there, the inflated cost, and the disgusting state of the whole experience. Cabin 122 should be avoided at all costs but from what I saw there, honestly every one of them should be. Travelocity as a site should no longer even advertise them because it legit showed me that they don’t even look into what they advertise.

DON’T DO IT!!!

The address has you pull up to a gravel road to an abandoned building with trash all around it… after we looped that building we went back to the road and traveled up a hill to a loop of 1/2 cabins. My husband was livid about the address to the empty building then up the hill to shabby looking cabins. There was no where to check in. Some random car pulled up to us to tell us how to check in and at that point there was no way in hell my husband was going to stay there. The pictures of the property looked as if they were taken when the cabins we built, not it’s current condition. I can’t speak to the condition of the cabins inside because we were not willing to cross the threshold. Very upset about the amount of money we spent to arrive to a dump like this

Ok but not worth the price

Visible mold/water damage, bathroom had one working light, was never given a key to the room despite asking twice, jacuzzi tub water was cold as we ran the tub after the unit beside us. They were able to accommodate our request for a later check out due to our travel plans which was appreciated. Location convenient and lots of potential, but overall not what we were expecting for the cost.

It was nice that this place was set back from noise and very peaceful setting in the woods. But the walls are extremely thin and you can hear everything that goes on in the cottage beside you since a wall is shared. There were some spiders and a yellow jacket that I had to kill. And the toliet is not attached at the bottom when you sit down you feel like it’s going to cave in. Also the table was very wobbly, bugs and cobwebs in the ceiling and a big gap at bottom of both doors that allows for more bugs to get in. The bed had some lint/ grass on the sheets. The TV and heater was nice and it was nice to have a microwave and refrigerator in the unit. And parking was fine.

Elizabeth provided great guest service. The cottage was clean with the exception of the stove and oven. Maintenance is needed my stove was missing two burners, used A/C units around the grounds, old carpets under decks, rusted chairs around the lake and in the lake. Also the cottage had a couple water damage spots on the ceiling. Also their were no dishes to be found so went out to eat for every meal. If your looking for a holiday get away this is not the location as their is not a single holiday decoration or light around the grounds. Located right next to a ski lodge but it wasn’t open yet. Not a memorable experience that would make me come back.

It was a very nice cottage. Just needs to be cleaned up a bit. It was dusty and some cob webs about. Some of the units had a lot of old broken items just sitting around. The customer service was excellent. We would stay here again in warmer weather when we can enjoy the outside.
