The room was fine. Signs of obvious updates (like newer paint). The bed wasn't terribly comfortable but everything was clean. The staff was friendly and very helpful in mailing me a small item we left behind. I truly appreciate their assistance about that.

Warning to check before you stay!

Unfortunately we stayed only long enough to get in and ready for bed. Several small bugs in bathroom then noticed more throughout the room. When entering the bathroom a larger bug emerged which was in fact a larger cockroach. Immediately went to office with pictures in hand. Did have to show pictures and then take them back to the room to prove our remarks. Had to call hotels.com directly after AI did not work. Did get our refund.

This is a 2-Star hotel, so it was nice to find a clean room with a comfortable mattress. The room had an overwhelming perfumed smell that had to be endured. The toilet flush handle was broken. Shower head was at about the 5' level (not great for someone over 6') but the pressure was good. I did not hear any of my neighbors, so that was a plus. Overall I was pretty satisfied. Good value for the money

Before you read this there have been multiple complaints about this business for the same reason. We were about to check in and was told there was going to be an additional $100 charge for 2 additional people (2 infants waiting in the car) to stay in room. Booked a 2 bed room for 4 people. The policy is not clear at all on Orbitz and says may VARY what does this mean?? Told the employee that was a rip off and they declined to take my payment and said I would not have any charge to my card. Looking forward to seeing my bank statement and don’t waste your time with this hotel it’s a joke !

DO.NOT.BOOK.THIS.PROPERTY!!!

The property has a policy of no check-in’s after 10:30PM and no refunds. And they don’t make exceptions. I can’t help but wonder if they aren’t trying to deliberately take money from desperate travelers who fail to read the fine print on their policies. I make my booking (only place in Claremont that had a room available and they only had one) while I was about 2.5 hours away. ETA was anticipated to be about 9:45-10:00PM. But then I ran into a 45 minute delay…
In speaking with the person on the phone, they were not sympathetic or understanding in any way. They just kept saying that they close at 10:30PM and that their policy was posted on the web site. So they got my $120 and I got nothing.
Just as a side note, I have been traveling for work since 1990 and spend between 100-250 nights a year at hotels. This is my second review in all that time.

The manager was very polite and efficient. The beds were probably the most comfortable ones I have ever had at a motel. The water pressure was excellent. Colourful bedding and curtains, made me smile to see them. Room was very clean. Cleaner scent in room was very strong. Bathroom door didn't close all the way. Could see where repairs had been done, but was in good shape otherwise. Had to remember to set e-brake in car because the motel is on a hill.

The owner and his son was very helpful to me. My brakes on my car were going bad and they referred me to a local mechanic who did a fantastic job. The family who owns this keeps it very clean and comes to the room and provides service every day. The rooms aren’t fancy but very well maintained

When I booked on the app I got a room with 2 queen beds and it said sleep up to 4 people. But then when I went to check in the guy at the front desk ask me for more money because I had 3 people including me. And he refused to accept the app says sleep up to 4 on the same price. The place was clean from the outside… greeted with “not pet friendly”, despite it not saying on line.
Place is small, and very dated. It’s fresh paint… but that’s it.
It’s only saving grace was the shower.
Cheap and minimal supplies (shampoo etc.) Thin towels.
Bed was decent. One set of pillows only.
And very overpriced for what you get!!!!

There’s no breakfast, coffee or food amenities typically offered by the mid range hotel chains. But that said, we chose the Royal Inn as the available local mid range hotels were approximately $200 more per night over the weekend.

Our stay here was very disappointing. The room was small and the price was astronomical! There was no breakfast provided, not even coffee! COVID-19 was the excuse, even though we had grab and go bags the following night at another hotel at one-third the cost and had an excellent breakfast grab and go! I would not recommend this hotel unless, as in our case, it was one of the last available rooms for that weekend! It was a terrible experience.

Small spot, but right in the center of a quaint town. Few decent restaurants within walking distance. Room was a bit of a tight squeeze but had everything it said it would. When it filled up at night we were nervous it was gojng to get loud, but it didnt at all.

Royal is a King's stay

They upgraded the rooms with all new renovations. Look they have a full tub - that alone is awesome. They have a desk for computer use and its right in the hot part of Claremont. No driving needed to party. I will stay there many times for sure. And the owner had a really nice haircut and was very nice.

They wouldn’t even rent me and my son a room. Said that they rooms was to good for us I guess because we are blk but I really felt like it was a racist thing to say they room was to good for us. When we would call they would say they have rooms but once they saw us they would say that every time. I don’t feel like they are top of the line and they had drug addicts standing in front of the motel.

We were very late for check-in. We arrived after 11 pm and thankfully the generosity of the host/manager that we were greeted with smile and handed over the room key. The room was decent according to the price point and the location was convenient to food, gas, market. The room was clean and tidy. No funny smell or odor at all.
