We were surprised that we couldn’t get a hot coffee in the mornings. They never came to make up our room. The towels were like sandpaper. The bed and comforter were great. Though they have a restaurant they couldn’t even give us real milk for the in room coffee maker, just lightener! I don’t think I’d stay again.

The bathroom had hair on the walls, ceiling, and bathtub/shower. Also the towels were dirty, several of the clean towels had hair and tree needles like someone used the towel to dry off a dog or? The towels were so bad had to shower again to get the crud off and just finally went and purchased our own towels to use. We asked for additional towels however they were the same, dirty. Do Better!

Liked the water view, but that was it. Arrived on a Tuesday when the restaurant was closed, and the check-in desk was barely staffed, there was a sign on the door with a number to call, but then a man did come open the door and have me come to the counter. At first he checked me into a room already occupied, but then he corrected it. We stayed in (214?), it desperately needs a new carpet and a fresh coat of paint. It feels like the property is barely keeping it's doors open financially, it's short of staff and behind on maintenance and upkeep. Even with the doors and windows shut, there's alot of highway noise too, between 6:30am - 930:pm. It woke me up much earlier than I would have liked.

Convenient off Rt. 1. Stayed here before heading to ferry terminal in Rockland for early start to Vinalhaven. Walkable distance over the river back to Wiscasett for dinner. Walls and floors seem "thin" or not heavily insulated - lots of noise from upstairs and next door at various points in the evening.

Decent place terrible customer service!!!

Needed a late check in, I called with no return phone call, had to call back to figure out how to get in the room. Once arrived had not TV or Internet called got voicemail.

Call that afternoon because nobody’s around until after 3 PM to tell them and ask for some compensation on at bill. Of course had to leave a message, almost a week later no response.

Nice location, better than a regulae hotel

Great location-loved walking out on the pier. Need to clean better-spiders in bathroom and cobwebs above bed. Very comfortable set up for room. Have never travelled before so this was a better accomodation than a regular hotel and very close to the two sites I wanted to visit. Was told it's more like a timeshare so check in and out is pretty much self done. I do not have a cell phone so relied on the desk person (very courteous), but they are there limited day hours.

We were pleasantly surprised at how lovely the Resort is. Everything looked brand new and spotless. We loved being right on the River. The restuarant being right on thr property was very convenient. We enjoyed our stay there very much. Looking forward to returning again!

The Resort is in a great central location ideal for exploring Maine's Midcoast, with an excellent restaurant attached.

We loved the Standard Studio Suite: a spacious room with two beds and a clean bathroom, balcony with a beautiful view, and a practical kitchenette, which allowed us to have breakfast in the room and prepare easy meals ourselves, as there are a small refrigerator, a microwave oven, a kitchen sink, coffee maker, and a great electrical pan. The kitchen also includes some silverware and kitchen tools as well as dishes. Parking is conveniently right outside.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming and took care of requests.
The unit was overall clean, only the stained carpet made me take off one point from a perfect rating, as it is easy to carry dirt from the entrance area onto it and it was stained accordingly.

Overall a excellent place to stay for a vacation. We had a great time and I would recommend it.

The inn was completely ripped apart. Appliances, doors, shelving all thrown in the hallway. The window in the room wouldn’t stay open, there were water stains on the ceiling, and everything was half painted.

Expedia needs to investigate the hotel management

The service desk employees were rude and unhelpful. They provided confusing late check instructions and when they were called to clarify the actual room location, they claimed since I booked with Expedia they could not help me even though they were responsible for the place and the number I called was in the check-in instructions. During the phone call, they deliberately hung up on me twice because I repeatedly called as I had no other options (Wiscasset is so isolated and far away from any town or the next hotel). Expedia needs to investigate these clowns as they are claiming they cannot help anyone who books with Expedia (lie). Also, once I checked in there was no heat in the showers and dirty/used towels on the kitchen table. They refused to remove them/clean them. I even had to wait for 15+ mins at the reception to check out as the receptionist was 'busy' tending to her baby - what the hell? This is a shocking experience from a place that is supposed to be family or senior-friendly. Avoid at all costs, you are better off at a brand-name hotel than this mom and pa place run by amateurs.

100 bugs in out room alive and flying. Towel holder ripped from wall, toilet paper holder fell off thrown into sink cabinet.

Bed was horrible. 6-8 in tilt. Terrible sleeping. No extra blankets. No returned calls from staff. Everytime i went to desk doors were locked.

We fell in love with this place. It is a beautiful and well kept property. We stayed in the lodge and it was lovely. We had a full living room, huge bedroom kitchenette and a gorgeous view of the river from the windows and right out our front door. Everything about this place is lovely, peaceful and super well done at a very affordable cost. It should get well above 5 stars…it’s truly a diamond in the rough!

Did not meet our expectations.Our room was large and adequate but it took a whole day for the heat to warm,There was mold on the floor at the base of the tub.We had to go to the restaurant to get ice. We ordered a take out for dinner.My meal was a pork chop and overcooked Brussels sprouts. Ran out of toilet paper.Did not serve breakfast.Would not recommend.

Our room was oddly shaped, second floor climb up stairs Room was very dark with a limited view from a TINY balcony near driveway and VERY noisy at night due to being adjacent to a long river spanning bridge with many BIG LDL trucks hauling freight late at night. The rave review restaurant/ bar was not open, as expected. ..the BEST part of the premise was the long wharf that ran into the river and allowed for a stroll to the small on site marina where two FABULOUS rocking chairs made from Lobster traps allowed us to sit, watching the sun set over Wiscasset - across the river. Breakfast was supposed to be on site and included; we were given vouchers to purchase coffee and breakfast pastry across the street at a (NOT GREAT) local spot. Not likely to book a room at Sheepscot Harbor Village Inn again.

We stayed in a beautifully furnished two-bedroom suite. The view of the river/inlet was beautiful. Enjoyed the adjacent dining. Note the end of check-in time at 6 pm. However, the property arranges an easy self check-in for those who intend to arrive later. Staff is very responsive to phone and e-mail inquiries. We would definitely stay at the Inn again.

Perfectly lovely place. Very clean and the kitchen area was very nice. If you have to stay in a two level building, understand that lower level rooms will be VERY noisy. Our upstairs neighbors kept us up late and got us up early with what I can only assume was a full team football game.

Really enjoyed the view overlooking Sheepscot River and Wiscasset. Lovely! Restaurant next door also very good with kind service.

Had some bad luck with folks below smoking (a lot) which negated spending time on deck. Not much to do about that I guess.

Property was clean fresh feeling and attractive. We were only there for one night so I can't speak to the amenities, but the staff was extremely helpful. when we couldn't get the TV to work, someone came over and fixed it right away. We were very pleased with the restaurant. We vouchers for coffee and a danish at the market, but the line was too long and we left. It would be better if they provided coffee in the restaurant. The coffee in the room was undrinkable.

The place is a bit unusual, because there are several types of housing, from cottages to rooms in the lodge. We had a little trouble finding the office in order to check in. The place was a little overwhelming in terms of finding our room, on the second floor of one of the cottages. The person at the desk gave very detailed and careful directions to the place. When we found it, the place was beautiful. A sunset view over the water. Clean and very large size with a small balcony. They also provided a coupon for a coffee and pastry at the next door shop since food areas were closed due to COVID.

Nostalgia trip for us to a location my grandfather had taken me to many years ago. Not the same facility, of course. But the view across the Sheepscott River hasn't changed much. Good dinner in the restaurant. Breakfast up the hill not so much. Also, I had planned to attend a zoom meeting when we arrived but the signal in the room broke up. I used a spare room in the main building to get service, but still spotty. Shouldn't have expected wifi connection away from city centers.

Scroll past, not worth your time or money.

Where to start. First off paid for river view. Was giving a room facing the road. Was told sorry we are full, you did not book thru us, that is the room Expedia picked for you. Expedia does not pick your room, I know I called them, to get changed to another hotel. Unfortunately there was none available close by. They are working on getting me back the difference in the price of the room.
Now on to the room. Can’t say I cared much for the bed. Woke up at 5:30 in the morning with a backache. Sitting in the room writing this review now. The air conditioner was so loud my wife turned it off and we tried sleeping with the door that acts as the only window open. Could it hurt them to hang a hook on the bathroom door, piled the dirty towels on the floor until I thru them in the bathtub after it dried out. The impromptu closet that was set up came with two hangers. Glad we are only going to be here one night.
As for the property the beautiful pictures you see do not show that it runs alongside the local highway. Did not try there restaurant, was not in mood to give them any more of my money.

Kinda an odd experience. arrived at the resort at 7 pm and had trouble finding how to check in since the number of the hotel was different than where it said to check in. The place it quite big so spent some time searching for how to check in.

did call the resort before arriving to make sure they knew I was arriving at 7 pm and there was no answer and no other number to call.

finally got the key that was left in a drop box to find our room, didn’t know the set up of the situation and where to park.

travel quite a bit so i can roll with a lot but there do seem to be some basics this resort can explain to people renting rooms to make it more user friendly.

The room rented was part of a condo or house. And not really specified up front.

We had to walk through a back door and go up the stairs past belongings to obviously someone who either was living there or does live there.

Granted it was neat and tidy yet the set up is odd and not explained well. didn’t know if the door to our room would be opened during the stay for the people who own the downstairs to arrive. Made it uncomfortable because of that simple lack of communication.

The room itself was clean, cozy, well decorated with a beautiful view of the water and sunset. Bathroom was wonderful as well.

No one seemed to be working at the resort during the two night stay. Couldn’t ask questions etc about the area.

Overall, odd experience...more up front communication would make a difference

The hotel is low-end. There was smell in the room that seemed like from smoking, even that it is said that it is a non-smoking hotel. The water boiler is not large enough for 2 people to have warm shower in the morning one after the other, even that the room was designed for 4 people. The sound insulation between rooms doesn't exist at all. In the room there are curtains on the windows, but doors are made of glass and there are no curtains there at all, so the sun wakes you up at sunset even if you don't want that. Really disappointed.

What an amazing place!! We absolutely loved it, wished we stayed longer! The river views was gorgeous and very romantic, our room was on second floor, had a balcony and was very cozy - very quiet, perfect sleep. They have a pretty big territory for walking around the cottages, which makes you want to come again and check them out, especially the waterfront ones. The area was especially beautiful because of all the leaves on the ground (and plenty still holding on the trees). We will definitely come again and stay longer in the summer. They also offer a very convenient late check-on option (after 6pm), they leave envelopes with your name and personal room code - very convenient and also a way to minimize social interactions during COVID. Big shout out to the gentleman working in their store/little cafe where you can get your free breakfast (pastry and coffee/tea) - he was super friendly, kind and accommodating! Overall highly recommend this property!!

After hours check-in was easy, went to our room/suite. These are timeshares that get rented, so each room has its own internet. ours didn't work, so no internet no tv. We called the after hours line and after an hour, got relocated to a different room. Room A had random holes in the wall, a long dead spider clinging to its web in the corner, and a partially painted ceiling. Room B had internet and television, but a smaller television and crummier pillows. If both rooms had been combined into one that worked out, the stay would have been better. Weird place and both rooms had strange decor. the adjacent room had someone permanently living in it, too. Odd place.

Loved the place, cozy and nice and the hostess was amazing. My only two complaints are when we arrived there was urine on the toilet seat, not a good sign during Covid. And the bed was way too hard and not comfortable. Perhaps other rooms have different mattresses but I have not slept on a bed that hard in years. But I liked the place enough that I might bring a foam mattress pad next time.
