My wife and I enjoyed our time at the resort. Property is quiet and well maintained. Views are breathtaking and pleasant. Staff were very friendly and pleasant and sought to make sure we had all we needed. Food was spot on! We tried as much as we could that was on the menu and couldn’t find anything we didn’t like and wouldn’t eat again. We jokingly asked each other “do you have anything you didn’t like or would change” and we couldn’t think of anything. Highly recommend and will return if life permits!

We visited Linekin Bay in 1975 and again in 1993 with our children then ages 6 and 9.
Resort has been upgraded perfectly while maintaining its distinctive character.
Just a perfect getaway. Maybe we’ll be back with our grandchildren? Hope so.

Beautiful, renovated property in a quiet part of Boothbay Harbor. The restaurant was great for dinner and the complimentary breakfast buffet. We really enjoyed sailing on one of their O'Day 19 boats, and many other water toys are available. The pool looked nice, but was very crowded. They did not honor our Expedia VIP Perk, but we would definitely return to the resort in the future.

Beautiful salt water pool but crowded with young children. Pool staff had no pool towels available. We were given a dinner credit but didnt know until the next morning. Check out early (10). Breakfast was okay but out of modt items including coffee causing backups.

There was no air conditioning in the room. It was cooler at night but during the day it was quite uncomfortable. (There were other units that had air conditioning.) If you wanted to sit outside and just read, there were no Adirondack chairs in the shade. You had to side at one of the picnic tables with an umbrella. This is not a resort for adults. It is more a camp for kid.

The property was beautiful and kid-friendly however the building we stayed at had no AC. I was told at the front desk that all the information was at their website however I booked through expedia. The salt water pool was wonderful and the hearty breakfast and water activities. Definitely a family-friendly resort but make sure to read amenities! And get the the room with AC.

Beware booking through Expedia! I booked a junior suite for 2 adults and 2 children on the Expedia site. The photos showed a king bed and and sofa and clearly stated sleeps 4. When we arrived there was one king bed and no other rooms were available to sleep 4. The hotel offered a second room at a discount which we had no choice but to take. Expedia was extremely unhelpful and offered a $150 (on a $900 stay plus cost of the second room)refund on the phone insisting the photos only showed one bed. I followed up via chat with screenshots and still got nowhere so I am out the money for a second room for the duration of our stay minus the $150 refund. Can’t believe Expedia doesn’t guarantee your room fits the number of people you book for on their site. Linekin Bay itself was a beautiful resort and we really enjoyed ourselves. Housekeeping was a bit lacking (dusty room and dirty floors) but linens and bathrooms were clean. Great breakfast, amazing pool! Will return but certainly will never book through Expedia. Also, one of our rooms did not have AC and Expedia doesn’t warn about this.

The boat ride was a great added bonus!
The food in the restaurant was great! Breakfast had lots of yummy options. Dinner was the flavorful stuffed haddock we’ve ever enjoyed…and we eat out a lot! The room was comfortable with scenic views and quiet! The office staff was welcoming and accommodating.

Linekin Bay Resort is a wonderful place to stay, although beware of fees if you're going to stay here! These add up and quite frankly, this should be disclosed up front. They seem to tack those on indiscriminately. They have a resort fee, pet fee, and are quick to add those to your bill. One very confusing thing I found is that they charged half of my reservation up front, even though I elected to pay at the hotel.

Overall I had a pleasant time in Booth Bay Harbor and this resort was very comfortable, but it's off the beaten path and not within walking distance to anything. We stayed at a rustic cabin, which offered little in terms of technology (there is no tv in these) Wifi is very slow if you need to work but it functioned.

In a rustic cabin, such as where I stayed, you're met with a spacious, comfortable and well lit cabin that seemed to be recently renovated which was nice! Restaurant on site was also very good for a hotel. Staff was nice and friendly, however for what one pays here, it begs the question on whether your $$ could be better spent elsewhere. Hard to be a repeat customer, when you look at overall expenditures vs. quality/comfort etc. But if you don't care, then this may be for you.

Enjoyed 2 day stay at the lodge. Weather was outstanding and that put the pool in use. Also, providing use of paddle boards, kayaks, sail boats, and water boat cruise for free was exceptional. A return is in order.

Beautiful resort and facilities! Staff were friendly however not very knowledgeable about the area. WiFi was terrible to the point that their own computer systems were down for running credit cards. At checkout they also hit you with add on fees. Again wonderful resort but seems like they have some growing pains!

We stayed here one night on our way back to Portland from Bar Harbor. It is just like you would picture a New England summer camp but with air conditioning. We stayed in the King Suite with water View. Peaceful, clean quiet and so charming.

Wonderful location. We were in the main lodge in one of the renovated rooms.
They were just opening for the season so less people which we liked.

We had issues with the heat in our room (not working when we arrived - they fixed) - but then going off the 2nd evening but coming back on in the morning - but working the third. Hopefully they will figure it out before the next guests use the room.

No services available...no room cleaning, no refreshing/replacement of towels, no help available for luggage. Handicapped room we were in had a leaking shower and no barrier for water - entire bathroom flooded when taking a shower...very dangerous. Had to use every towel to soak up water...and theywere not replaced!

Staff were very professional and nice, however our room was below acceptable. The carpet was VERY stained, the bedside lamp shade crushed in and both bedside tables falling apart and moved even with the slightest touch as if to come off the legs.
The view from the dining area was beautiful, the room just needed a huge update .
Hope to return when improvements are made. Would gladly spend more money for a better improved experience.

Charming, beautiful, peaceful getaway.

We loved our stay and wish we could have stayed longer to have taken advantage of the numerous kayaks and paddle boards they had available.

The location is absolutely gorgeous. The free breakfast was top notch. We enjoyed the restaurant for dinner. The view from our room was stunning, as were the myriad of panoramic views all throughout the property. We loved everything about it and would love to come back.

The area is beautiful, secluded, but close enough to town to walk. There is a lot to do at the resort and we were able to take advantage of several options.The staff was very helpful and responsive to any issues we had. Very happy with our dining experiences. Clive always went out of his way to make sure we had a good table & great birthday celebration for my husband.

Amenities worth the price.

This was a fun traditional resort. The heated pool overlooks the bay. Dinner purchased on resort was delicious. The included breakfast was a real buffet, not a typical hotel continental. The room didn’t have a tv, but it’s my mistake that I didn’t notice it wasn’t listed. We had a great time out on the kayaks despite the rain. It’s about an hour from a real beach and a little isolated from town because roads are narrow, but we stopped at the train museum on the way out of town and really enjoyed it. Room was nothing special, but we felt with got our money’s worth with amenities.

Had a reservation for ocean front room. Upon arrival, it was in an ocean front bldg but no ocean view. No sheets for pull out sofa or phone in room to request the sheets.
When pulling out sofa, old popcorn and grapes under table. Big dip in floor in front of bathroom. The resort itself is beautiful, but our accommodations were not.

Highly recommended property!

This place is amazingly beautiful and relaxing! We stayed in a \"waterfront king\" room and woke up every morning to a spectacular view out over Linekin Bay. Everyone working at the location was super friendly and helpful. Very much a family atmosphere and nice camaraderie among the staff. It feel a bit like what I would imagine and adult \"summer camp\" would feel like, but with hotel style rooms instead of musty cabins. All in all, a charming and wonderful stay and we would go back here anytime!!

Completely loved this resort! We are members of Freedom Boat Club and were able to take a boat out for a few hours right from the resort dock. The complimentary breakfast buffet was great each morning and the dining hall was neat, clean, rustic and beautiful! The Bar and Grill is also amazing, overlooking the heated salt water pool and the bay and the food was absolutely top notch. The staff was VERY accommodating, hospitable, helpful and pleasant in every aspect . Not one single complaint. Loved our stay, thank you!

Not nearly as clean as expected (found a foam earplug on floor by bed and a giant piece of lint and hair on bed); nails sticking up on floorboards so have already ripped two pairs of socks and we just checked in yesterday; no toaster oven which is extremely disappointing; pilot light in oven doesn’t work; no curtains or blinds on French doors which are located right near 1st bedroom which has no door to keep light out (hope you like to wake up at the crack of dawn!) and no closet; no cozy little nook (nor chair) to read in like it shows in pictures on website. Notes left in kitchen to take quick showers and sparingly use water due to supposed water shortage. Hope you have small children for upstairs bedrooms as ceiling so low, no way could grownups sleep there. Outside of house is very unappealing, looks like a dilapidated shack. Bathroom is very nicely updated but kitchen is old old. Hope grill works as will be trying tonight. Outside deck is very cute with plenty of Adirondack chairs. View is gorgeous.

We chose Linekin Bay because of its location and amenities. Unfortunately, our stay coincided with hurricane Enri so we could not make much use of water activities. Our kids paddle boarded once while we were there and my husband got in a kayak once. The pool was freezing (not heated) and the water was super salty. I have a saltwater pool at home, so I am familiar with it and water was way too salty.

It is hard to get dinner reservations at the restaurant on site. Breakfast is complimentary and never changes. Only one type of tea for hot tea. Salt shakers so loaded with rice that salt doesn’t come out. Dinner menu does CCA not change either. Service is slow and our waiter the first night was rude. To be fair, it seemed like he was the only waiter working. There is an upstairs section above the restaurant that was a great space with games, shuffleboard, and foosball table - unfortunately it was extremely dimly lit and filthy (littered with trash and pieces of board games that were strewn about). It could have been a great space for our family to hang out when it rained but the space was unusable.

Our room (Mahawie 4) was beautiful and as pictured. The bed was comfortable. The deck was awesome. The service is non-existent. We received an envelope to tip the housekeeper when we checked out but never received any housekeeping service whatsoever. We had 1/4 roll of toilet paper on check-in and no spare rolls on hand. The front desk closes in the evening so was of no help
