Our stay was wonderful! The view from the room, the walkable trails to the water, the beautiful flowers, the delicious breakfast, blueberry coffee, cookies, very clean. Portable fan in room was a welcome compliment to the A/C - sleeping sound for me- ladies at front desk were very kind and friendly. Stayed one night but would have loved to stayed longer to take advantage of the many amenities !!

Relaxing stay in one the prettiest places in ME!
The location was perfect; the staff was accommodating and friendly and there were so many wonderful places to visit both on the island and nearby. Especially loved being able to enjoy the heated saltwater pool in the middle of September! If you go, the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens are a must. The Inn actually had some smaller gardens that attracted butterflies and hummingbirds. Can't wait to return.

We had to upgrade to get a tv in our room. And, the sink area in the \"regular\" room had no room. The upgraded room had two sinks with spacious counter room and a tv. Both were bright and clean but the upgraded met more of our expectations, especially considering the price.

The complimentary breakfast was delicious and the Tuesday evening lobster dinner was a great experience! Wished we lived closer! The property is beautifully located and has old time charm. Outdoor gardens and water views are great; pool is warm and relaxing; good dinner meals and great tennis and game room. The property could use however a little upgrading. Some garden games were broken and our bedroom was incredibly small for 3 people and no elevator to take bags up. We were offered help so no complaints there, but the hotel itself, interior, needs also a bit more tlc.

What a lovely experience we had! The property was gorgeous and the staff was some of the friendliest and kind we’ve experienced in a very long time. Wonderful food. Live music. Quaint atmosphere. Couldn’t ask for more! Yeah, good for you. I went with my sister up to Boothbay spell it out for you not terribly expensive at all. I think it was 250 a night but it came with like a $25 a beautiful area and you can do a lot of great walks. They have a shop shop area. The food was amazing , we had a really nice time so yeah you don’t have to spend time driving places yeah beautiful beautiful My sister and I are planning to make this a yearly event and can’t wait to head back there next year. Thoroughly pleasurable! Thank you for an amazing time!

There is nothing not to like about this place! If you are looking for beautiful well kept grounds and accommodations with a staff second to none, this is the place to go. We are not into the ‘downtown’ scene with drinking and loud music, etc - if that is your thing, don’t stay here but if you want to truly relax and take in the scenery and the best of what Maine is about, consider the Newagen. We have found our annual place to go.

Newagen is beautiful! We were so pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoyed its old-time flair with modern updates. The staff was amazing. Clean, comfortable and the waterviews divine. We would go there again, and next time for a resort style several days long getaway. There is so much to do. It’s reminded us of the Dirty Dancing resort.

No TVs in certain rooms. Thin linens. Couldn’t park in the circle drive to even unload our car. My partner tried and someone appeared from the dark and asked if she read the sign? We were so tired we couldn’t even think. The other spots were full near the entrance so finding a spot was difficult. It was very dark and we finally saw someone backing out of a space nearby and grabbed it. Unloaded our things and trudged back to the entrance. Just ridiculous.

What an amazing property. We had a wonderful trip. There was something to do on the property several nights while we were there. One night there was a lobster bake, which i would recommend and another night there was a piano concert. My only complaint is the bedding. The mattress and pillows are hard. Other than that, i would recommend this Inn

We enjoyed the views and location but wished our room (in the main building) had some basic amenities, including a TV and microwave. Our room was also small with 2 double beds, instead of queen size beds. The furnishings, decor, and linens were outdated. The bathroom was tiny-- it was hard to open/close the door.
The breakfast buffet food was very good! The Pub restaurant was also great; however the menu offered limited options.

Older property, very quaint. Rug in room definitely needed to be replaced. There is no elevator in main building so it is necessary to haul your luggage up a flight of stairs. The grounds and view are beautiful! Nice breakfast included. Friendly staff!

What a gem of a location! We loved every minute and never wanted to leave. The staff was amazing - very friendly, super attentive. The Rachel Carson connection made my day - and the sun set path was wonderful, especially in the early AM when we could watch a lobsterman at work. The restaurant was amazing - one review complained about the breakfast failed to take the whole unique experience into account. Absolutely wonderful place!

It's a gem, located at the tip of a penninsula with ocean views everywhere. Wonderful outdoor areas with benches, walkways, gardens and I wish I'd known there was a heated salt water pool!! We will return next year.
