The room was pretty average. Toilet was super low and shower was dated. Kitchen was stocked. I was really disappointed that our jacuzzi did NOT have a fireplace like all the photos showed. Staff was good but one was just overly talkative. Also disappointed that late check out was only 30 mins later.

The room was spacious...fireplace was nice. Good view and a nice balcony. The staff was friendly. Housekeeping was happy, one even said he loved his job and you could tell. The cookies at 4pm were a kind gesture. The pool was great and we hope to return soon.

The stay here was great! We will be back. We had the 1 bedroom suite for our family of 4 and it worked out perfect for us. It had a kitchen and everything you needed to cook with and dishes plus towels for both pool and bath. They thought of everything! We Just brought our own food to cook and drinks as they do not offer any at this resort. You need to drive out to buy food and only few places will deliver. The surrounding areas are beautiful lands of farms, peaceful and quiet and a cute little town in Galena that you can walk around with lots of boutique shops and some restaurants. Everything closes down by 5pm for the most part there, except maybe the restaurants. We were very impressed with the landscape of the whole area and outdoor activities. The resort was kept very clean and it was not so crowded so we had the use of the pool and game room almost to ourselves most of the time. Staff and even guests were very friendly. The only thing was their issue with lady bugs. Apparently it's an issue they have during this season. So we saw them throughout the resort and a few in our room but it wasn't that bad and they are harmless.
Definately stay here if you want to enjoy the outdoors or need a quiet and relaxing vacation.

Stayed at WorldMark Galena from February 6-8, 2026, and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The location was perfect. It was quiet and peaceful with a beautiful wooded view right from our suite.

Our room was clean, cozy, and very comfortable. A special shout-out to Mike at the front desk, whose friendliness and local knowledge were exceptional. He was always ready to help and offered fantastic recommendations that made our trip even better.

For a relaxing, hassle-free stay with excellent service, this resort is hard to beat. Highly recommended

I stayed for my one year anniversary with my girlfriend and we had a WONDERFUL time at our stay. The room was extremely cozy with a fireplace on one side of the bedroom but also exposed to the living room as well. The kitchen was amazing and cooked a few meals to save money. The pool is really nice as well and staff is friendly!

Very quiet!! Friendly staff, great room! if you arrive at night, good luck, most of the the landscaping lights are not working to include the light display of the unit sign which led my wife and I down the road. A quick phone call to the desk led us back to the unit, please add more lighting!

3 night stay for event in galena - 1br apt. everything was clean, no chemical odors (cleaners, pets, smoking, etc). plenty of space - accomodations much larger than listing picture. bed was incredibly comfortable. cookies in the lobby; we hung out and enjoyed the fire, colored, watched the projection tv. we used the game room, and workout room on the lower level. there was plenty of parking. very peaceful! absolute quiet at night. the ONLY negative was the peeling paint in the pool area - we didn’t go swimming but you could see the large sheets of paint peeling off the walls. we will definitely stay at this location again.

The room and trundle bed were comfortable. Having an oversized jetted tub and fireplace was a romantic bonus. We enjoyed using the little patio. I would recommend getting a room overlooking the woods and on the 3rd floor, as ours was, for the great views. Game room had a lot to offer. We were the only people using the pool and hot tub when we went there. The hot tub needs repair as there are a few broken tiles on the seat with sharp edges. Staff was great and responsive to requests, especially Jude! I would definitely recommend the WorldMark.

The murphy bed mattress was terribly uncomfortable. The pool and hot tub were out of order, but no one bothered to inform us at check in, so we learned about it after getting changed into swimsuits and heading to it to find a note on the door. The hallway, and later on the lobby, reeked of marijuana. When I asked the front desk person about the odor, they said that they were aware and knew who was probably causing it- but didn't know if they were allowed to say anything! The blinds on the windows were very dusty. It's sad because we have been staying here since 2015 and the place has really gone downhill.

Pleasant surprise but a few flaws

It was perfect, clean, spacious, close to local activities. My only issue were we had no tv the first night and they literally had no one to fix an issue at 7 pm on a Friday night- nothing is open locally past 9pm so it made for a long awkward night and there were no vending machines on premises which again would have been great seeing nothing was open late or even a very close drive.

We will be back - loved it!

What a great place for a weekend getaway! Katrina was lovely at check-in, the amenities were great (indoor pool, spa, game room, nice lobby), and the room was perfect for a getaway weekend with the gorgeous fireplace separating the bedroom/living area from the massive bathroom with spa sized bathtub. We will be back!!!

FYI - no restaurant on-site and the bed is a pull-down but we didn't mind either.

First off it states queen bed. It’s a Murphy bed full size. The bed slants to one side and down ward to the point you sold down past the door of the bed and wake up 20+times a night. It’s loud. You can hear everything around you. The shower is small and the the jet tub is oversized. The worst place I have been to. Dated. Packed with unnecessary furniture the tv is small for the studio. The fireplace was see thru to the toilet. Nice view from the Murphy bed you can see any one sitting on the toilet or in the shower clear as day. No privacy! Awful awful place

Friendly staff, beautiful location. However, our check-in was delayed: we waited 20 minutes past 4:00. Strong cigarette smoke smell upon entering our unit, windows & sliding glass doors were filthy—hard to enjoy beautiful view. Long wait for hot water and at times no hot water at all. No closure on fireplace so you can see right into the bathroom—no privacy! Sliding screen door was stuck so couldn’t open.

Worst experience ever. The night time check in front desk Marrari was great even though she was new. But the manager was horrible couldn't get until one bedroom when Marrari said it wouldn't be a problem to get a 1bedroom. Manager was very rude and if I could rate a zero I would. Drove three and a half hours and very disappointing would never return.again

The suite was perfect for what we needed, the jet tub was very relaxing. The Murphy bed, however, was not at all comfortable. It was inclined, so that the head was noticeably higher than the foot, to the point where I felt like I was sleeping on a hill. It was not conducive to restful sleep. I'm still suffering from a stiff back, several days later.

I was a clean and good size room. Loved the fire place and tub. The tub being deep was slippery and difficult to get of. The patio and window had no screens so unable to leave it open. It was noisy when another room used their jetted tub. Couldn’t use the pool because of an equipment failure.

No water. Front desk said that they are having some problems with their well and that we would possible experience low water pressure. She then said, you’re on the 3rd floor so “You should be fine.” We woke up to shower and the shower wouldn’t even turn on and the toilet would not even flush. We cancelled our second night and switched hotels.

The studio room had a Murphy bed that was the equivalent of a standard full size bed. It was not large enough for two adults to comfortably sleep. The bathtub had rusty, orange water coming from the faucet even after running for some time. All of the water smelled like sulfur. (We have stayed at other nearby resorts and homes without this issue.) We spent as little time in our room as possible.

Pleasant stay. We had a nice studio room. If you are using Expedia, make sure you know that the one bed rooms are a studio room cause it’s not mentioned. The staff was very helpful and friendly. This place is a time shared facility. It would have been nice to have free WiFi instead of paying $4.95 a day. The water used for drinking and showering is well-water which is fine to one but maybe not the other. We were told it is 100 % safe.

had studio room, would not recommend a studio room here. The heater was loud and woke me up several times each night. Nice hot tub and fireplace. Prob is it’s in the bathroom and room facing. You can see right thru it. So if someone is in the shower or on the toilet...you can see them thru the fireplace. Would consider them again, just not with a studio set up. Nice staff.

The resort is nice & staff friendly & helpful. Amenities: they do not provide in room service so if you want clean towels, you must bring the dirty ones up to the desk for exchange. The coffee is made once in the morning. The water is from a well & has a strong iron odor in kitchen, bath sink & shower.
